Let's keep fighting. Go out and vote! Go out and vote! MAGA midterm rally starts right now. Welcome to Real America's voice and our special coverage of President Trump's latest campaign rally in Vandalia, Ohio. Hello everyone. I'm Terrence Bates. I'm going to be your host today. Joining me this afternoon as we await the President's arrival there in Vandalia, the host of ringside politics right here on Real America's voice, Jeff Carrier, Raft Correspondent Bo Davidson and founder and President of Proactive Strategies, Mark Serrano. Plus, on site at Vandalia Butler High School in Ohio, where President Trump will be speaking here in just a couple of hours. As you can see, folks on your TV screen, Frank and Senator, quite literally, that would be LaRav Correspondent and the host of Breaking Point, David Zeer. Gentlemen, get afternoon to you. Instead of watching college football, we are watching politics and there's no place I'd rather be. Good afternoon, Terrence.
Good afternoon, all. We want to go around the horn here really quickly. I'd like to get your impressions and thoughts as we await the President's arrival. Mark, what do you think we're going to hear from the President? What is it that you want to hear? What is it that, oh, okay, I'm sorry. Hold that thought because President Trump is about to leave the White House and he's talking to reporters now. White a year, turning your clocks back, turning your clocks forward, being late for dinner, being late for very important meetings is ridiculous. And if you look at the public day, agree. That's a 100% issue. 65%. I'll give you an example. Right now we're sitting out here. It's light, it's nice. If you come down here in another three weeks, it'll be dark. It'll be, who wants it? We want our sunlight in the afternoon, but more importantly than that, we don't want to change clocks twice a year. It's very expensive. It's got many problems. Even crime, it's crazy as it sounds.
When you have light, you have much less fun. So the House voted it more than 80%. It's been sitting up there and hopefully we can get Tom Cotton to move. Tom Cotton is holding it. He shouldn't be holding it. It's an issue that people want. We had it a long time ago, but they used it for other purposes to get something else approved and they gave it up. But people want to have light in the evening, but really what they want more than that. More than that by a lot. They don't want to have to go around changing clocks. I have the same thing last time, six months ago. We're changing clocks and nobody changed the clocks and everybody's late. It takes people, it discombobulates everybody. So we can finally have a vote. We have the vote in the House. Mike Johnson did a great job. Now we'd like to have the vote in the Senate. Tom Cotton is holding it up. You know what's it? The farmers want it. You know what's it? The sports one.
Professional sports and amateurs that would like to play tennis at night. Would like to play golf a little bit without having to run home after a 14 home. It's ridiculous. It's very expensive to do. It's not a good thing. People don't want to have to change their clocks twice a year. It's a lot of work for a lot of people that were running around for two days, changing all the clocks in their house. So it's an easy win and I'm not even talking about for the Republican Senate, for the Senate because it's a very bipartisan issue. And Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, a state that I won by 35 or 40 points. I don't buy a lot. He's got to do it because it's really, it would be a very. All right, so we want to apologize, president Trump speaking there outside the White House on his way to Vendelio, Ohio.
We having some technical difficulties. If we can get that feedback up, we absolutely will want to bring back in our panel, David, Zier, Frank, and Senator. And you see the rest of the crew, gentlemen, good to see you all. Mark, I was going to bring a question to you and we were interrupted. But now I've got a bit of a different question because you just heard president Trump talking about daylight saving time saying that Tom Cotton of Arkansas, the Senator there is holding up the process. All of this as he's getting ready to head to Ohio to rally for John Hustead, who of course is in JD Vance's old Senate seat trying to keep it. It's interesting, particularly given, and I'll just put it this way, the failures to action and to act by the US Senate. I suspect over the next several weeks we're going to hear a lot from the president really continuing to push the US Senate, particularly Republican senators to act and to do something. You bet, Terrence, and good afternoon to you and to the rest of the crew here. So I'm delighted to be with you for this historic rally tonight.
Look, the president was talking about daylight saving time for reason is because we have universal almost universal support to change it. And it's very relatable issue. So I think that's what the president is thinking. You know what caught my eye actually when the president was talking was the number of workers up on top of the East Wing site. Here it is five o'clock Eastern time in the East. And you've got all these workers that are on site working for Donald Trump's ballroom and the military site that's going there. That's very impressive to me and that's a typical Donald Trump site. But I will tell you this going to Ohio is very, very important to obviously this is a really important Senate seat with John Houston. Now the incumbent having been selected by Governor Mike DeWine last year to fill JD Vance's seats. Donald Trump won Ohio three times in a row each time by a larger percentage in 2024 state wide it was 55%.
And he's got a long history in this part of the state where in 2022 he was there on the eve of the midterm election to support JD Vance. And in 2024 he was there in the spring days before the primary to support Bernie Senator Bernie Moreno now Senator Bernie Moreno. So it's going to be a great, great event. This is the rollout this week of the Trump midterm election campaign. And this is by the way it's a sort of sad note. This is his last. I mean the next time the president will be traveling like this it will be for another presidential candidate. So I'm excited. I think this is going to be a great, great stop with patriotic Americans to greet the president by the thousands. And it's going to be memorable and exciting tonight, Terrence. Jeff Carrier, your expectation will president Trump echo those sentiments about daylight saving time once he takes the podium here in Ohio. And even beyond that what are the issues you think he needs to address particularly in this economy and as we near November third election day.
Well, Terrence great to be with you. Yeah, I mean I think this is a just real quickly in the daylight saving time. That's something that's near and dear to the president's heart as a golfer. I mean he wants that extra hour of daylight to get in those last few holes. I mean of course he's got the PGA behind him on this. The American public doesn't like changing the clock. So it's very popular. Tom Cotton prefers standard time. He doesn't want the kids going to a school in the dark. That's what he said. You know you have standard versus daylight saving time. Even though I may prefer standard time what I prefer the most is stop the changing of the clock. So we want to lock in daylight saving time. Fine. The clock changing causes all kinds of accidents, health problems. So the president's exactly right about that as far as today. I think the issue has to be the economy. People vote their pocketbooks. People vote the economic situation. I think a message has to be told to the American people that the economy is not bad. The media is sort of betraying the economy is bad.
The president needs to tell all the positives that have been done. The investments, the growth and wages, the fact that inflation is way down from where it was under Biden. All the positives that we've done. I think the tariffs are a good policy to have fair trade. We've been taking advantage of for too long. So I think the president's got a great story to tell. He needs to do it. Looking at the polls it just came out this morning. Republicans are down and a lot of these states. They'll be very important for them to keep the Senate. Ohio is one of them. So they've got some work to do in Ohio. Hopefully this can really start some positive momentum going for the Republican party. They need it because they need to turn things around. Absolutely. Bo Davidson, instead of watching box scores today on college football Saturday, you and I have been watching polls as well. Your thoughts about how the president is going to try to turn some of those polls that we're seeing around starting here in Ohio. Yeah, Jeff is right. I was looking just before we came on air. There's a New York Times article that just came out about 15 minutes ago talking about how Democrats had either tied
or even made some really good inroads in about five Republican states. Specifically regarding the Senate. We know the Paxton race has been controversial. Ohio, Kansas, places like that. So Terrence, in my own personal covering of these past couple of rallies, I have heard some of the sentiments that we've been talking about. But here's what I would personally like to hear. And I hope that I speak from both a conservative side and just in general American is layman's side of, this is what I would like to hear. I'd like to hear the economy is very strong. You may not feel that way because gas prices are high right now, but stick with us, hang tight. We are squeezing Iran. We're putting the pressure on them. And we are undoing the inflationary mess that Biden left us. Number two, our nation is strong. We are winning major policy battles on mutilation of minors, men and women's sports, prescription drug prices, jobs, trade, crime, unemployment, immigration and national security. We are winning those battles and that's was a campaign promise that he made. Number three, he hinted at this the other night Terrence. We have a new health plan and here are the details.
I think a lot of ears are going to perk up if he can lay out that plan. And finally Terrence, Democrats have sold you out and specifically talking about Gen Z. They are whispering these sweet nothings in your ear. You're getting all these DSA whispering some people's ear and these are promises that they cannot make. They cannot deliver on and we cannot afford. It will bankrupt our country. You're being sold a false bill of goods. Stick with us, ladies and gentlemen, because our nation is strong and this is what we're continuing to do. Those about the four points Terrence that I would want to hear the President make tonight. Okay, interesting. Alright, and last but not least in David's ear, we appreciate your patience. We want to get you on site there at Vandalea Butler High School. That's where President Trump is headed. He will be speaking. Can you set the stage for us? What's the atmosphere like there? And more importantly, from the folks that you've been able to talk to throughout the day, what is it that they're expecting to hear from President Trump? Yes Terrence, I don't want to bury the lead but I need all the day that I could get with my 46 year old golf game. I can't find my ball after five o'clock.
But yeah, we're here in Vandalea. My government accounting same as date and nine miles from date and birthplace of the Wright brothers, the birthplace of aviation, Wright Patterson Air Force, based right nearby, University of the date and research, a lot of jobs, a lot of research, 12 million voters in Ohio, 12 million people in Ohio, 7.5 about registered to vote. Voter registration ends on Monday, I believe, and early voting starts on Tuesday. 2.9 million independent voters here, 37.7% of registered voters, and they have a 65% turnout for those voters. And Trump won here three times, as you know. Political advertising is on a blitz. I'll get into that. I have a breakdown for the Senate and the House races. I have all the House races here broken down for you a bit. Governor, for Governor's race, the Vect. Ramaswami running against Amy Acton. John Eusted, the point that it's 25 for a special election right now, trying to retain the seat. Again, former Senate, a shared brown. And Brown has three points leading in the major polls.
But a lot of money coming in to John Eusted recently. But the people on the ground here, there's a crowd wrapped around the building here. It's in Van Dahlia, I say Vidalia, like Vidalia Onion. But this 4,500 people able to fit in here. I think it's going to be packed to the rafters, because outside the line goes all the way around. I did a lot of man on the streets. Everybody's done the same thing. And I know maybe it's a bit of an echo chamber because they're here for Trump. But they're willing to put up with the gas prices because they know Trump is an honest guy. And he's trying to make things better and secure America. A lot of military veterans here, I spoke to who like Donald Trump's agenda. Some protestors across the street. But I got a complete breakdown for you. All right. David's here reporting again on the ground there in Van Dahlia, Ohio. We're waiting, President Trump. He's probably about 2, 2 and a half hours away. That's when he's scheduled to speak.
And of course, we will carry his comments live here. Jeff Carrier joining us. Bo Davidson, Mark Serrano. All going to be joining us for this coverage. Gentlemen, we appreciate it. We are going to take a quick break. But when we come back, we'll have more of a conversation as we await President Trump's arrival in Van Dahlia, Ohio, to speak and rally for the candidates in that state. All of that coming your way right after this. Yeah. I speak rap like a hot... I want my kids to grow up healthy, successful and protected in this world. That's why I help them manage their feelings. It matters. It keeps them whole and free from toxic stress response. Learn more at firstfivecalifornia.com.
