Third man. The lives of Harry line. The fabulous stories of the immortal character originally created in the story, the third man, with a certain music by Anton Carrus. You know I've tried everything in my time. Just about everything. Confidence, rackets, smuggling, bright market. Once, believe it or not, I even tried going straight. And here's the story of what happened to be there. It's called The Hardware. Stick around. Easy bellow.
I've figured like this, Harry, the good old days is over and passed. Things here in Europe is never, they was not lighters there for the war. The cops are one thing to border police. Like that, they're all getting some shopper, but I'm not just as well-be-tried, going to live in back home. Harry, what is this all about? What about the racket, okay? If you want to sell me your piece of the party, I don't want to sell you nothing. You know, something I didn't think so. How do you like to say that? Well, buying a film isn't in your character or map. Picking up and letting lay is the nearest driver likely to come to legitimate commercial procedure and picking up the phone. Get him a backster word, Harry, that's what we got to get to be. The international cops are going to tell you how he is in power to organize.
You know, Swift is thrown in English, have it used to fly in islands? Yeah. Very small combination, I was, huh? What happened to him? What happened? Ever makes it jump into English? The parachute didn't open? You know that place and of course the call won't hurry. That was you and me place the other flight. What about it? That's safe, a little drop of shit to fly in a hurry. Six miles from a road, no houses, nothing but header. Well, what do you think they got in the header? Things they never would ever jump. Birds, cops. That's what they got in the header. Now, Harry, that's where half a scoffer, yeah, to spend in their evenings. Ever gets out from under the power ship, looks like a surprise party. And it's with Swift, they got a couple of fast course guard jobs and fellas them all the way across the gentleman. Yep. Then comes the French planes and even the fellow comes from Belgium. By the time Swift is forced out, it looks like an international conference. Yeah, they seem rather discouraged. I tell you, the good times are finished. The things was real nice and rough, but the water was opportunities. But many more. You're supposed to get them out of the commercialized. All right, no.
What do you think, Joe? I want to go back home. To the States, huh? Eventually, yes. The right bowler's made me smell too many people looking for photos. Well, we got to wear very bad old man as the first objection to going straight to Johnson's mind. Well, Harry, we got to play and it's a pretty good little play. Very easy to sell them. Oh, rise, okay. But look, like you and me, it's been around. It's very good. The times at Midnight, we can chop around for a suck of it. What do we do in the interim old man for grocery? What would you say to this guy? How does this make you? The Imperial Safeways chop up light company cooperated. Fly for private charter. Is there what you're driving at? You, except business have. Nice, quiet, steady room business. A little bit, we know. Well, anyway, that's how Safeways brain charger incorporated was born. I bought myself a cap that said head pilot over the visor and said down with Moe and I
was trying to do it with my grandchildren. These programs, I had to decide on, no new, and obviously I gave them to my children. This is an all- allowing tool or just convenient option- phone security key-se aquesta pizza where I spent a full, and er, happened nervously and trying to look as honest as possible to the benefit of some of the people rather who didn't not say what they're impressed. Line, yes sir. We have a dossier here in France covering you suspected activities in 1946. Oh, yes sir. I say suspected line because we never actually caught you. No sir, yes sir. We have also reports from Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Holland and the Republic of Germany. I've never caught me either.
As you say. Well, here is how I figure out the situation. Yes sir. You are requesting the right to operate a plane chart and cut. That's right, yes sir. You said that you proposed to carry passengers or even freighter. Lear than the proper way to the proper channels. Yes. Why? Why? Well, it is. It's a business. It's a very busy business. Not that it's going as hardly as a single. But I really would know about that. No, of course not. No, no. As I say, I figure this situation has two possible explanations. Yes sir. I really want to operate an honest chart and service with you a little bit. Well, that's exactly it. And here I want you to follow me very carefully. Yes sir. Or you are plotting something so big, so slight, so pleasant. How can you think? Under the circumstances. I have no choice but to contact you with this. Thank you. We are letting you start this chart and company lines.
We are permitting you to begin. Yes, thank you so much. But we are keeping our eye on you. All of us. Police of every country in Western Europe. We are watching for active banking as well. And then the very first sign of anti-p banking. The very first whistle suspicion of anti-p banking. You will wish that you had not come here. That you have never applied for your first commercializing. Indeed, Mr. Light. You will wish that you had never been born. Well, man. Well, man. It's a... I don't like it. I don't like it. Whatever you've got your pay. It's a lot like that. I don't like the official attitude in regards to civil paper, Mo. All we've got to do is break one routine, little regulation. And we have these secure customers. It's true, Mo. That's actually the true one little slip. It's all awaiting. Don't forget the annoyance. We're just waiting now for the chance to crack down on this.
But everything we got away with before. Stop reading the fine print, all the rules and regulations, Mo. I'm proud of my youth. Somewhere there's a little joker about tipping your right wing to matter or an applying south on the first Sunday after make-room. There's something like that. On which the vigilant police of Europe will manage to fulfill their fondest dreams and to sort the breakstones on that work farm and so on. Right, GMO. We never should have gone straight. Quitting the racket, that's okay. We should have been. Why? Not going into the given business. It's too dangerous. Then there was the problem of getting tested. The tour of season just about over and anyway it turned out that almost everybody for first traveling in a big comfortable, fast, stair liners still asked me why they just do. And there wasn't any more tinkering needed on our little clipper, Mo. It was essentially the maintenance staff, ground crew, and administrative wing
out of the safeways, charter flights incorporated to a slight powder on me. I went up to the farm and said he had work to do and I wouldn't think what that could be. I also couldn't think of a good reason why I should make him hang around the airport and mean. A lot of week after that I got my police customer. Your name is live. That's right, yeah. My name is Budapest. How do I do I suppose? I have some good things to do. Oh yeah. I'm playing the ring. And how do I play? Yes, I don't have to. Why would you like to go? Is that your theme of that? Right, it's Budapest. Yes, it is. I mean, it doesn't tell me it needs a bit of pain. But reliable. Well, that's a thing Mr. Budapest will definitely get you there. Well, I'm glad. And where is it exactly you'd like to get a good swit of it? But maybe I better week, would it? Oh, but definitely weeks. We'll make a very good rate Mr. Budapest. How many can you take of this? Oh, four easy and five. And if it's how many? When can we leave? Well, now if you like and now if you really have to get clear
and switch with... Oh, sure, but that won't take long. It's quite low-fi. And you can even get said, I get set the mile, and I've got to tend to. I'll be trapped there by your play the half hour. I think we should. For safe ways, try to fly. Mr. Budapest boy, nothing is too soon. I got my international clearance and solved things up with traffic right on schedule. It was some kind of excitement going on and passing just waiting, but I didn't investigate. And going in the hand, well, too late now. And the attendant came up with a message. Mr. Elias, what is it? You're the famous, your Budapest boy has chartered. Budapest boy, yes, this is the brain he chartered, whatever. He's too gone ahead without him. You mean, go on without him. If he's chartering the plane, I know, I know, but this Budapest boy is very concentric. We've had some meetings with him before.
You must just do as he says. So he wants to charter the plane not to take him to the service. Well, I get paid. He told me to give you the news bags. I'm going to go, why do I get to Zurich not take him back? No, you go on your spouse, Paris and wait. You need to be at tomorrow. What, what, what, what, what's wrong with you? Well, nothing. You just gave me a thousand bucks. Is it too little? It's almost twice what I expected. Or it goes, you'll miss your... This motherboard is extended to the index speed. Oh, you have to leave right away. That is a condition. If you leave within the next two minutes, there will be another thousand waiting for you in Paris. One and a half minutes after that. Or after that, or after how it was end. I see me, clear and still warmly. I'd like to look at the weather up ahead. Not for about half an hour I was alone with my thoughts.
Or rather I thought I was alone with my thoughts. Then gradually it began to dawn on me that I wasn't the only one in the plane. Somebody was sitting behind me. Somebody had been hidden before, that if they had a badduffle bang in the panichure. This guy is spooky. It was... Well, it was among other things. A girl. And a stole way. And a very attractive stole way of that. In a moment, Orson Wells returns as Harry Lime, the third man.
This is Harry Lime. He's an old man. He's an old man. He's an old man. He's an old man. Now, kiddies, I'll have to admit that all the life found myself in the course of a fairly long and extreme very very career and simply hard positions. This was by all odds, the artists. 1500 feet
of the sea level with a dual whale of two people long gone a calendar. What are you doing here? Well, you don't feel like that's me. I would flop in front so I can look at you just a little bit of the sea. I need to stick to what is going to be popular with this home. You heard me get up here in front. Why should I? Because I say so. Suppose I don't want. Well, not yet. Is this the first time you've ever done it in a plane? Answer me. Are you coming up in front or not? I don't see why I should. Okay, then start holding on to your hand. What do you mean? I'm going to do a little stunting. I think you have it up. Let's get into that and start. That's what I've seen so I'm thinking we might use to it. Oh, I come up in front. I want to look at you.
It's not going to sit like you. Okay, here we go again. No, no. No, what? You did all day. I'll do anything you do. Just climb up over the sea and they sit down next to me. And I guess go away on the sea line. I'd like to see what I'm talking to. Yeah, come. You add for it. Oh, I just saw it. I'll just slide down and see. That's a good second. What are you doing? Don't worry. I'm trying to pick it up at the time. I'm just taking off my clothes. What's wrong? Oh, I don't just put it around to show it. Just put it on. I'm going to get me warm. I'm always going to make out with you over those mountains. You look a better. What do you mean? It's that. Well, as they say, I mean, you're not so bad as they say. Who says I'm bad? Every time. Oh, well, they say about you. I'm not notorious like you. Well, maybe not. I mean, but I've never stood away in a private plane and it's a good way to start building up a reputation.
It's not worthwhile. It just happened then. Amnesia? What's that? Amnesia, loss of memory. I don't understand. I'm asking you if you lost your memory. Why should I do that? Well, I don't know. It happens. People lose things, you know. What kind of a girl do you think I am? You want an absolute frank and candid answer to that question? What do you mean? What do you mean? What do I mean? You have a very complicated way of talking. I nearly asked you if you wanted me to answer your question too. Wrong question. You asked it. You asked it. You asked it. You asked it. I can't remember what it was. Amnesia, no doubt about it. There you go. I came with those big words. You asked it. What kind of a girl did I think you were? I asked you if you wanted me to give you an answer to that question. Which would prove more merely for life. I haven't formed any definite opinion. How long before we go to give you an answer? What do you mean the next time? The next country? Where? A couple of hours. I think it will go through the world. What do you mean by that? Well, I don't like to look at the sky up there. The mountains are going to be raining some nasty weather. Can you win all the kills? Well, let's hope not, kid. I have a strange trouble you and I think. Never bothered to sit through the wreckage.
No, I just mean we might be late. We have to fly around on the outside of that stone. By the way, what's your name? Why should I tell you? Why shouldn't you? Why should I? Young lady, this is without any question. The most insane, the most inane, the most meaning is the most idiotic conversation. I've ever held with a human being 1500 feet over sea level or anywhere else. Oh, now you're close. And you get shut up. Why? Because I'm tired of talking. You've got to squire me. Well, why? That's your attitude. One thing I don't understand is, how you ever managed to get into the plane to begin with. Well, it was dull. And nobody was looking. Never, never enough. But how did you know that this was my plane? They pointed it out to us when we came to the airport. They said this was the plane of Thailand, the famous snowblivet. Nobody's ever been able to arrive. Oh, they did. And that's why you picked this plane.
So one of the big airlines, if I was a smuggler, you'd take it. I'd give this lovely smuggling use, that it? Now what do you do? Not doing it. He's flying a plane that didn't normally fly. And give me a thousand bucks not to take into Paris, not to take into Zurich or whatever it is. Yeah, but you're turning around. All the sudden? No, like that weather up ahead also, I don't like it. But the boys at the airport in Paris, I like it as a dude of me when they find you on the plane. What are they laughing at me? I don't know, but it's only too pleasant for me. I'm trying to tell up a good reputation, trying to prove that I've reformed. What's happening on my first legitimate flight? There's no law against me, is there? Maybe not, but there ought to be. So? Where are we going instead of Paris? What do you think? Not back where we started. You got some other country in mind? No, what do you think we're going back where we started? That killed the mother? The mother? I don't get any trouble. You didn't, the girl. What do you mean?
When you were a smug man, didn't you have a place in your own way that you would keep your own way? I still do it to prom the president I live on. After now, we never paid much attention to crops. I'll be sure that the best places for you to be, that's it. I'll be sure. And then what? What do you mean? Then we'll see. You got some ideas, kid. I don't want to. But I don't belong in that girl's school. That's one thing, sure. I don't belong there. I'm not going. But what goes that, kid? What's the school? Don't tell me you're still young enough to be going to school? I'm mining, you know? Now I know I'm going to jail. Not a queer care, boy. Now about to come. I know what the course you've got to passport and see you. Then you're going to be a person. Oh, don't be silly. Now about this idea. Well, if you got the new idea, then I'll let you examine some of the old ones. Getting in this brain, friends. The reason I got in the frame was so that I wouldn't have to go to this awful finishing school where but I think French. Well, I don't want to. What is your day?
Of course, the speak French and German, not me. I want to get mad. Well, kid. Make somebody a lovely wife. And that's what he says. Facking on sale. Recik it in bitch, girl. My uncle doesn't have food. You see, my uncle's bailed passion. Now about these odd people. Your uncle was getting somewhere. Maybe finally I can identify you. At least tell me about your uncle. Nothing to tell he's just in our group. He's the one who wanted to take me off of that school. He's going to go into the group. Wait a minute, don't tell me your uncle is in there. You have to go to board the paper cups. But he gave me a thousand dollars to go. No, that was really crazy. The thousand dollars. You. I'll get the equipment and the airport. The big deal that he's got. Now about the thousand dollars. Well, he didn't get the thousand dollars. I just heard why he wasn't making money. Why he wasn't looking? Well, if you're about a board of papers, cup, e. I told you that already. He's over which my uncle was making money. That's why I thought you were to kidnap me. What? Kidnap me? You know on that call, you know? Uncle Walfew, they almost did anything to get me to that girl's school.
And you could refuse to hand me over without getting a million dollars or something. You know how that would have turned into rats, you know? I told him. He had an album. I told him. I told him. He was about to run me out. I know. He's about to run me out. He's about to run me out. Well, however, it's not the old thing. Oh. He will run me if I don't have any money. Oh. But he isn't a bit unreasonable. I'm sure you let your kids get some of the money. He doesn't let your kids get some money. So I'm first to see Bill becoming down. Now, where? Oh, you mean to the girl? That's right. I don't even know. To the phone where I'm going to be kidnapped. How much if we go down, we're going to that ground. What's wrong with you, Constantine? As we sat down in front of Moe's, I told little Miss Felle I had to keep out of sight for him. I knew Moe.
I wanted to break things to him gently. I was fine. I was fine, but you were fine. I said, and I said, and I said, and you know that I'm a small house. Yes, you did. I mean, you know that I was. He was going straight now. He was going to keep us good there in trouble. And I will be ready with you. I don't know what you're talking about. You know that the worst is you don't know what I'm talking about. Harry, I'm surprised that you will, but that's fine. Yes, you'll be fine. Okay, open it, I say. There. Come on, I'll lose, I'll. Little girl. What do you know about a little girl? I went and put the snatch on some poor little child back at the airport. I don't know what I'm trying to lie about if they fall me. Come on, I'll run the output. I'll protect you this way. Hey. Wait a minute, this is the day. I didn't wait around to make any explanations. I just introduced the hyacinth, the name was, hyacinth, but I believe. And left the two of them on the farm to discuss it between themselves.
20 minutes later, I was back in the airport in Nice with Uncle Warfield. We'll all I can see is that you have my seat. You got me to mind. You mean of course. Yes, she's quite an original young lady now now now now that I came back to it. I know you don't know. But I thought you were me anything. She gave me the slip and the affinity. It told me about that fully messing. I'm noose, she's still to wait. You win for some trouble. What happened? You were flying back to that farm, you know. What happened now? She pulled the airport in, said she was being up the weather. Said she served for half a minute. Probably disguise of course, but it's easy to be tired with her, so the day went. I knew when I said I'd pair half a million of these day away. But it goes, ah-hah, I was just joking. But I was the mother, I'd get a pack block, shaved to that finish and school, now wheeled too. Even if it finishes me. And then I had never been discharged. Stunned. Where to Mr. Butterfly? Where started to wear? Well, we've got to do a pick of blue hats. When you do Mr. Butterfly, your uncle, I'm not related to him.
And I don't know what you're looking at. I'll be bold. Sure, thank you very much, Mr. Butterfly. Whatever your price is, it isn't enough. That being legitimate, the hard one. Mr. Butterfly. Mr. Butterfly. Have it line returns in just a moment. Oh.
Not a very long. Well, by the time Uncle Warky of God passed and his brother boy safely tucked away in that high class reform school in Zurich, Moe, just about ready for a mental home. He had to keep her company for us to pay for tough game game and took her away, oh and by the way, she stole $60,000 from Moe, I mean, that's what he's been doing up there in the farm, printing it. He was very proud about having started making all that money again. But I have been doing all my focus, though, it's not a story that I've never wanted to hear. I've got enough troubles as it is.
