Lindstrom Joins America First for Governor | Lincoln News

Former Nebraska state senator Brett Lindstrom is officially running for governor in 2026 as the America First Party’s candidate, after his initial nonpartisan bid fell short due to invalid signatures. With the Nebraska Supreme Court recently approving the America First Party’s status as a legitimate political party, Lindstrom now has a viable path to the ballot—and he’s energized by the new opportunity. He argues Nebraskans deserve more choices, especially as he criticizes the current governor’s fiscal direction and believes mainstream parties have drifted from common-sense values. With Election Day just around the corner, Lindstrom’s move could reshape the gubernatorial race and offer voters a fresh alternative.
