Lindor’s Heroics Seal Mets’ Win | New York Mets News

Francisco Lindor delivered a jaw-dropping performance, saving the game with a diving catch in the ninth and then scoring the walk-off run in extra innings, leading the Mets to a 3-2 win over the Brewers. His 15th homer ties him for sixth in franchise history, while rookie Carson Benge added his 11th three-hit game — the most by any rookie in MLB. With the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth, Lindor’s acrobatic grab kept the game tied; he later cashed in on a throwing error in the 10th. Zac Thornton pitched six strong innings, Nate Lavender stayed scoreless, and Austin Warren earned the win despite a shaky ninth. The Brewers, despite their league-best record, couldn’t deliver when it mattered most.
