Friplam Fuddy lives on listener thanks to McDonald's and Reem Ho order. The NRL finals are on triple M and we've got all the guests behind the scenes news on and off the field from press conferences to inside the locker rooms. On triple M this is NRL Daily finals edition. Welcome to triple M and NRL Daily here for a grand final recap special. It's Charlie White here and we've got the Graham family trust. Even if it's a public holiday we don't care. We come here. We work because it's a grand final recap how are you boys? On great Charlie it's the best type of feeling in a couple of days actually. I've been in a rest last night. I got to watch the game at home with my young blocs and the misses and had the few hours of sleep. I was tired from the couple of events beforehand. It's always a busy time of year. This time of year if you'd like it to be involved in the NRL and grand finals in the past we had our 10 year reunion.
It's pretty well publicized by now. I heard the boys are in to me on Saturday for not showing off. The world's longest reunion I think we called it. I know. Well, yeah, it went bloody long on the weekend. Don't worry about that. Right. We had a lunch and then Saturday. Saturday was a fun day. All the plays and back crew stuff all caught up and their wives and partners. They went out a long lunch, put on a small lunch and we all went together about five ishing. Enjoy the night. Good on you, Wade. Yeah, we were still here. It's a public holiday. We ain't going nowhere. We're going to continue on right through to the end of the world. Cool. That's right. So we've got five shows a week still. The show goes on all through the world cup. NRL daily will be with you. And then once the tournament finishes we'll probably go down to two shows a week. I suspect. But yeah, we've got all the game all the big games here on triple. I'm anywhere, the key matchups. We're going to talk a bit of World Cup later because the team's out for the kangaroos. And it's there's some interesting parts of it. Now I did a podcast with Funno this morning. Wait. He said that our best on ground was June Maloney. Is that correct?
That's fair. Yep. Yeah. I tell you what he wasn't far behind him. He's wife. Just. She goes hard too. So we had a great day. And again, we caught up a few weeks ago for the old boys day and we'll play in Melbourne. So the club did a lot of great things around us. But yes, some guys who missed that day, the Rickley Telegera beer, they flew down from Queensland. Val Holmes was able to be this time because he was still playing the last round of the year. So yeah, it was a good time. And you know, the lunch the grand final lunch in on the Friday was awesome because we got to see you know everyone there. But the Saturday where there was and partners were all around because they're not journey with you right and they basically is good to see them catching up and having fun. But yeah, Jimmy certainly he was best on ground. See, mate, that's really smart plan and get everyone involved. And then there's sort of no one's going to get pulled out. Go to places get everyone involved. Everyone can enjoy it. Have a good time. That was awesome. It was awesome. Even actually bumped into a few people just out and about Karnala.
So the first person me and Jimmy Maloney scene actually at the place for that was a guy who got a photo with us to 10 years ago. And all this and he pulled it up because do you mind if I get another photo? That's brilliant. I mean, I think it's like that sometimes it feels feels like yesterday. But you know, the time does feel like 10 years ago, maybe on the Sunday morning at the show because there's some great years coming out of it. So no, it's good time. It was good time. But what about the game? Let's get into it. The roosters V night congratulations to the roosters. Farley well deserved and so many talking points. I mean, you just said before we started, Wade, some of these stats. So tackled in opposition 20 six tackles for the Newcastle nights 55 tackles for the Sydney roosters. 57% possession 84% territory. They made over 100 more tackles more the Newcastle night. An absolute domination. But then you look at the score line. It's 1918.
It was an unbelievable effort from the night. I think, you know, they'd be disappointed with the result. They're not going to be the same goal and rightly so. You don't know how many opportunities you're going to get in those big moments. And they didn't go their way last night. But I think everybody's enjoyed the momentum and the whirlwind of emotion behind the Newcastle club and seeing their fans celebrate and the scenes out of Newcastle and the spite, you know, not getting the result. That effort from the team. I think that's what fans will be proud because if you have those stats normally, you could be looking at a 30 40 Newscore line. But the nights, not only, you know, where they behind on all the stats, actually out of 12 point leader one stage and not to. It's hard not to single anyone out. But I thought Katelyn Ponger. It's probably one of the best performances I've seen from individual player in a losing team like. He did everything within his power to will his team home despite not having any momentum or.
Consider so many meters not having much possession. He was fantastic like in terms of. We talk about all these flashy stuff with the football and his footwork and what he creates for people, but he's some of his efforts. It's the last line of the fans turn up for scenario with Marky Mark and then. It makes a tackle in the right hand side races around on the other side of the field picks up that kick and runs 100 meters. It was phenomenal performance from KP. Yeah, Newcastle and I had no right to be in the contest and in the end they pushed the roosters right until the 80th minute. It was a nervous final three minutes there after Greg Margey went over in the corner and the sideline conversion was slotted over. So the nights with the stats you read them and you don't look at the score. The prediction would be a dominant win and it looked like it was going to go that way. We know Newcastle have been over to New Zealand twice in the past four or five weeks.
They played the game against the Panthers with 12 players. They've been up against it this entire final series. But they they're willingness to keep turning off for one another one of the features of their game is. They knew the roosters were going to come for their for their back three and go and compete for high balls, put it under. Kaelin Ponga put pressure on him, put pressure on Greg Margey, but you know we look at the numbers in terms of defense, but those movements. The GPS's would have been off the charts in terms of just tracking back going just in case the ability to be in the picture to win that second ball. And it paid dividends for them. That's the reason why they were still in the contest. Yeah, look, they they got that little bit of look didn't they with going up to to 12 nil. It was completely against the run of play. But that bit of brilliance from Ponga and the great line from Manu Lela, you are to get that fairs try, but it was there.
Willingness to go and help out and be in the picture that got them the opportunity to do that. Speaking of Manu Lela, that run was amazing that he made that lead line in the round, but that flick pass. If they are going to win that grand final, everyone sort of forgotten about that flick pass now. That it becomes a moment and they go on and win the game. That will be well, but it gone down as one of the great players. 100% and listen, where they were in the game, you have to take risk. He saw an opportunity to keep the ball alive. You know, and he took on the flick pass and it landed straight into the on the chest of one of his teammates and they go on the score. But again, it was just another show of the nights, willing us to never give up and to keep turn up for one another. Despite the onslaught of the roosters, winning in almost every other category on the field. All credit to the nights for their effort, but the Sydney roosters were the better team. They win the grand final. They deserve it, Premier's Jimmy.
It was a pretty, yes, their attack was a bit clunky, but they just dominated things in the middle of the field. Yeah, the approach through the middle led by Nafahu, who was outstanding every collision. He looks to win. It was nice to see a little bit of confrontation there. Him shooting out the line, trying to put shots on a got croaker a couple of times. He liked me. He saw him croaking. He saw some potential. Jimmy Graham on Dave Tiro back in the day. And then some of those young and night forward, they stood up to him as well, which I thought was great. But Nafahu, who white, Victor Radley, Lindsey Collins, and then strangely, Spencer Lanier. And I say that with due respect because we know the player that he is. But he didn't get any game time the previous week. Connor Watson was ahead of him in the packing order due to those set of circumstances. He leaps above him and you know, Spencer Lanier had the ability to maintain that intensity.
It's spoken about they don't win without Marky Mark. They don't win without DC. They don't win without Teddy. But don't downplay the role of Spencer Lanier played off the bench. He continued that momentum when Nafahu went off didn't he? And he was dynamic. It's probably the, you know, that's the best of Spencer. That's what we know he can do when he's on. He likes that confrontation, but it's a physicality and the speed of this play the ball. And he was up and about. He's one of those guys that, you know, if he gets going, it infects the rest of the team. He got that shot on Dom Young that the round of the ball is and it's just like the roosters. They all fed off that and they're a champion team. And they did their job really. There's so many storylines out of it. Like you look at, you know, we'll go Teddy first because of his effort, like his numbers, record breaking. What the NRL posted, incredible display from you, from your captain to lead from the front run for over 380 odd meters or whatever it was.
And the daily cherry Evans. There was a lot of pressure on, there would have been a lot of pressure on him because he came for the roosters for this reason to win a championship. He was the man. If the if he doesn't get it done, you know, you could question a lot of the decision making, but guess what? He did get it done. So he can sail off to the sunset. Actually, it's an amazing stat on the TV. I think when he won him, he was 22 games into his first grade career. He got his second opportunity at 379, I think whatever he's at right now. So that's incredible. Tyson Frizel playing his first game and Lindsey Collins. You can get misses out on 1890 after playing the prelims. He gets his first opportunity in the grand final. Yeah, he's at seeing his interview at the end of the game. The emotion coming out of him was awesome. Victor Radley and other ones. He's third now for the club. So. Well, there's a winner's the Chilks. There's a little bit too much firepower and the spite, the nights holding their gloves up and then and the willingness to turn up for each other.
They just had too much in the tank in there. Yeah, the DC field goal. I guess at the time, we looked at it as like, oh, they just, you know, a nice little two-score buffer and maybe we thought other roosters would, we would kick on and. You know, get a get a couple more tries from that point, but without DC having the the instinct and the the awareness to kick that field goal, it likely turns out 18 or. And then it is a scramble with Newcastle in possession. You know, they maybe they set up and it looks completely different. So. And I think that comes down to. Experience and the situational awareness because there was still about 10 minutes left on the clock, probably. Not in normal field goal time, but he just. Looked around and went, well, I'll just take the easy one on offer here and it and it's one of those look to execute he should be getting that. But there's pressure on him because if he misses, it's a seven tackle set and the night to back in.
Yeah, it's a bungee plan. Yeah, it is, it is, it probably not spoken about an office. It's a courageous play from DC. But and again, but that's that's why they got they got him there. And he knows instead of wait until the fifth minute, looking for the try. No, no, no, let's just set up that to try to score buffet. As you said, and there was no like the nights are out in their feet. He knew he was probably unlikely to get that much pressure coming out of him. Yeah. So far out from the full time sirens still and he was in a great, great spot on the field. Sorry. And he backed himself and execute and he executed and he's been a tremendous player. For such a long time. And and he gets to sail off over to the UK with a premiership. I think he's got the most field goals now in NRL history as well. He's got the most of any player to ever play rugby league would take the kick to both. He does. You know, 15 meters out just to the right inside. Easy work for for Terry. Unbedxtrous. Unbedxtrous. Yeah. Yeah. Right and left. James Graham went in that word a few weeks ago.
So he got him. No, I don't know. He just said it. He said it wrong a couple weeks ago and he said it right this time. So good on him. He learns things. Okay. He's learning like DC said post game DC after the game said that I learned from my mistakes in week one of files where I got it wrong late in the game. And you know, in the grand final turn things around. So it's good to see you learning as well, Jimmy. Thank you, Charlie. Unbedxtrous. Congratulations. DC 379 first grade games. 26 origins. 21 tests for Australia. What does this grand final window for his legacy? I think he's already won the one. Even if he hadn't a one the grand final this year, I don't think it changes his legacy too much. So we know what he's doing. He's the most cat player ever and man, this he gets a chemo season at the roosters for an opportunity to win another one. He wins one. Even if he didn't play. Well, that didn't win. He probably he's legacy is already already set in stone in my eyes. Yeah. He's probably more just for him.
There's a lot of a lot of waiting time for he came in as a rookie that first year or his first full season. Sorry. And he won a comp with a really established mainly team. I mean, still a half back. So he had a big say in it. He won a club Churchill in a losing team. Yeah. So listen, it's a feather. It's another feather in his cap. And he'll be super proud of it and proud of his teammates and that experience. But for me, it's pulling up the bill and into all I he's already set in stone. He's already a champion. What group is he in terms of high fakes? Because you got the greats, the JT's, the Joey Johns, Nathan Cleary's, then maybe a tier below. You've got say Cooper Cronk and then maybe tier below that. You've got Mitchell Pierce and Adam Reynolds and guys like that. Where does DCE sit in the pecking order? That's a tough question. It is a tough question. He's up there.
He's right up there. Like when you talk about Andrew Jones and Jonathan Thurston, you probably start, you know, we'll be talking about Nathan Cleary in the same way that when he finishes. But I can't take anything away from his career. The number is just right out there. I'm not unbelievable in what he's done at not just the club level, but on the rip stage as well. He's being a whole of fame. He's a whole of fame. I think in my eyes. 100%. He has to be a whole of fame. Yeah. I think you're on the money there. Incredible career, longevity wise, representative wise on the field. He's been a superstar. And look, again, bought to the Sydney Roosters for four club to get them over the line to add that bit of experience. And go back to that one, that that feel goal at the time it seemed insignificant, but now looking back, that experience torch.
You know, it made the roosters name. Speaking of the halves, Newcastle Knights, obviously they did such a good job to get there. They did such a good job to stay in this game. But San and Smith, he probably with the way the game went, he probably wasn't the half bug that suited the Knights. For this game, just not having that huge boot to kick him out of trouble. Is that fair to say? Because that's been a bit of the criticism online. Yeah. Yeah. I don't want to jump into sand. And too much. I thought he took what opportunities were there for him. They didn't really have much opportunity. Yeah. I'll just get dominated for the middle and, you know, any half, you probably switch sand into that roosters team. And daily into into the Knights team. And daily does have a great kicking game. It's apart from adding that little bit with the length in your kick. It's hard for those those spawn players to be really effective when you're getting dominated in the middle. And we've already said that for the nice to be where they were was a super effort.
So hard to be too hard on sanding. You think back to that game last week in the prelim. He was the best player in the field. Just may not have had those big moments like he did the week previously. But I thought he probably did as much as he could like most of the nice players with how that game unfolds unfolded. They probably squeezed the most out of it that they could have really. Yeah. And look, the reason the Knights were kicking from their own end is is the roosters domination through the middle. And that's why they weren't in better field position in order to get kicks away. I think it's a harsh criticism of San and Smith. He's been fantastic this year. Is just Dylan Brown make them better? Yeah, of course. There's a reason why he's on the contract that he's on. Do. And Sy Fiti and Mooney and cross them make them better. Absolutely. I've got of course they do. That's why they they're paid the way they are. But this is the situation that San and was in.
I think he can walk off that field with his head held high. He tried just as hard as everybody else in the Knights. He was he was he was up against it. Like what do you expect from him? I mean, get a grip yourself if you're going to criticize him. That's that's the thing with the with the knowledge. It's sort of like, yes, you're going to be disappointed. But all of all the players left everything out there. Well, it's not a diff. Yeah. Maybe this could have happened or maybe we could have done this. I think they did exceptionally well. And the effort was through the roof. Like you're never going to be satisfied with it with a loss in a grand final. But I'll tell you why, man, they can hold their heads up high because they threw down as high as they could. Absolutely. Absolutely. And they're in a pre-minship window, maybe now Dylan Brown comes back in next year. Tray Mooney comes back in. You don't look like you agree with that. I don't know because I look that they caught the wave this year, didn't they?
And don't get me wrong. They they have been fantastic. And look, it is the knee, Jack, response that, okay, well, you made a grand final. You're just going to naturally kick on and gain from this this experience. But a lot of teams, a lot of teams don't. What it has done, I'll just say with the injuries that they suffered and they had to elevate some guys. And now those guys have had this experience. Like guys like me, Q and my new later, who probably went on a lot of people's radar last year and even within themselves. Like they wouldn't know or they would have hoped and they would have dreamed of this. But you did don't know when it's going to happen, right? But that gives you confidence when you walk back in to start your preseason. So they're starting a long way in front of where they were last year. There's obviously some questions there with Dylan Lucas. And now where's his role in that team with those two backrollers? So it just creates that healthy competition that you'd like to see at your club.
And I think that's where, you know, they're going to be in such a better starting point this year from where they were. Last year in Holbrook was a bit disappointed for him that he didn't get the coach of the year because it's a fairy tale. The reason we're laughing is to give you the most dramatic man in the world of rugby league. Well, this is the chair over and sort of pause looking at us trying to wait for it to get out. Just in Holbrook, yep. Yeah, just in Holbrook, I thought he was well into that coach of the year situation. Andrew Webstar, he deserved a lot of credit as well. It losing all those halves and injuries here that deal with and they're finished top two and they'll consistent throughout the whole season. But yeah, new castle fans. I think there'd be a lot of hope and confidence going around when the next season starts. We've talked up the night teams. I think we should talk up the roosters a bit more as well. Yeah. Like so they've got this academy that they've invested a lot of money in and they're starting to see the fruits of that with Celessi Faketti, Rob Toya.
And then they've got some other like this team. Yeah, the roosters by players. They bought Spencer and they bought James Saskar. They bought day chair Evans. They bought Angus Critan. But there's now they're starting to see signs of this academy with the guys that coming through like the Rob Toyas. Like Celessi Faketti. Yeah. The fire who white like the butcher boys. They've been around for a while. Bradley's a local junior. Yeah. Sevilla's a local junior. The mark no one needs to wise when he came to first grade was not a like we came to the roosters was not a first grade elite player. They've done him into that. Well they developed some Walker as well. 100% yeah. Yeah, not a local junior but certainly in that development camp as well. Yeah, see why Wong. I forgot to mention here. Yeah. I think with the roosters you just have to give them credit because they would have felt they'll dominate in field position. They would have felt that we're making plenty of meters here. We're giving ourselves plenty of opportunities. But hang on a minute. We look at the scoreboard and it's 12 nil. We're down 12 nil. That's not how it normally happens. So they have to stick to their guns and keep inpatient and they were they kept going high.
Put in Marjou, put in Tom Young and Kale and under pressure. Having the roosters come off their own. I'm sorry, having the Newcastle Knights come off their own trial line. And eventually that pressure, although it probably took a lot longer than they would have hoped. They got there in the end and testament to the coaching and their understanding on the field. They experienced the stay patient in that situation and know that we just keep being down the front door and we stick to our systems. Eventually, eventually we'll get the reward took a bit longer. Like I said, then they probably would have hoped, but they're a war game and that system and those players. They're walking away from the premiership ring. Yeah. Of course, we give credit to the development of the roosters with the players that they've produced. We've spoke about it on multiple times about the coaching and the effort that they've been doing. And the effort that has been put into a mark, no longer need to I say that that one game that he had was two or three years ago. I mean, it didn't leave much for optimism in terms of what we thought.
And this project player was going to turn into, but the roosters, Trevor Robinson and the staff of obviously spent a lot of their time with him in positional sense. The freaky skills that he possesses, they saw something in him and they put the polish on it. And in the end, he leaves, in my opinion, the game's best wingers. It currently stands not just with the ball, but without it as well. Let's not forget some of the intercepts that he came up with in this final series. There was one or two against the Panthers in that game that they would regret not winning. And up with the dolphins, the complete game breaker, you know, like against the run of play, he comes up with that big play on farm with and gets the ball goes up the other end. And that was that was devastating for the dolphins. He's been immense. Yeah, he's been fantastic. Shout out to the roosters fans as well. We always take the piss out of the roosters. They haven't got fans with thousands of people showed up at the least club.
They would have seen all the boys celebrating there. And then I think today at more park, they've had this massive event, which thousands of people have showed up before. So they've got a good fan base as well. The roosters. And I mean that genuinely, I'm not being sarcastic. Actually, they do show up, especially when they win a competition. Yeah, they love a winner. Yes. Well, that's the roosters. I hear best on ground for the NRW. Just quietly has been is Millie Elliott. We should maybe try to call Millie Elliott, see if she'll pick up our phone. Maybe. That's the best I surprise. That's no surprise. It's tiring. Yeah. There's good times when that weight in that burden comes off your shoulder for the last time. I can just go. Go and enjoy myself. Yeah, I know you can't give me any trouble if you're if you're stuff up. Well, you two get in trouble because she's got a pretty good job at a company. Yeah, in the culture plan. So she needs to behave in some some sense. All right, quick break. We're going to be talking the world cup up next to the kangaroo squad has been named. Kangaroo squad has been named boys for this world cup. And geez, it is an incredible squad. I won't read out the whole team because if you listen to this, you probably love your ability.
And you've had a look at the team already. But the big news, they haven't picked a winger for this world cup. So no player that has played in the wing this year is in is on the team. Obviously, they're going to go with Tom Travoi with Jack Bostock on the wings. Do you boys like that? Yeah, well, probably a little bit hard done by Focobo. I thought he was brewing in the back into this season. He's the one name that jumps out. Now to me, but Kevin's. It's his team and he's going to have a plan on how he wants to look and how they want to execute. I don't mind like Bostock, he played in the wing when he first came in the barrel. Yeah, he played in the origin this year on the wing. Yeah, big body. And a fantastic athlete in the air. And same with Tommy Tommy, he's played plenty of wing before throughout his career. You could probably anywhere on the field when he's fit and healthy. You get the job done. It's just maybe interesting if something happens to them. Who are we doing? Milky Jenkins is a shadow player.
They named a few shadow players. Milky Jenkins is a shadow player. They're in the shadows. They're lurking. I'm surprised there's only it's a 21 man squad or 22. 23 man squad. Probably probably should be no means 23 man squad is now double check how many they've named. What made you think it was 21? Did you count them up? Did you add them all up? James. I'm just 23 player squad. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but anyway, do you mean just. Sorry, I'm still hangover from the ground. No, I'm just doing my expected team. Just looking at the players that will either be on the bench or not playing at all. Plenty of options for mixing things around in the half or dummy half roll. But it depends on who gets the four backs. There's only going to be one real outside back not in not in the starting team. So you know, you mentioned about the wingers, but outside backs like it's walled or to desco.
And then the other one is on the bench. Do you want to know what it's confused you with this? So Joel, obviously, do a window in the round end is cut off one of the names at the top there. Bradman best. That's not good. Yeah, so I've not got. You know, Bradman best there. So, yeah, so Daly, he just said that's Joel. Right. He did a great job hosting the show on Thursday. But you've still got to be you still got to be a good producer as well. You know, Mr. So yeah, that that like you know what with the balance of the squad now is actually. They give that one name extra name in there. Well, you know, can we do some real analysis about the team rather than dribbling on about the number of players in the team? So, so we'll call about it is a surprise. Yeah, it is. I thought he would be well and truly in the squad. Yeah, I think he's had a fantastic use state of origin level. He's been one of the standout players. Obviously, the wing selection is. It's quite slim pickings, especially with with what's happened to.
Josh had a car in recent weeks, Mark, no longer need to I say moving on. To play rugby union. So it's a shallow pool, but I'm really surprised that Cobb has done it. So just Joel has just sent me a text now. It's actually not Joel's fault because it's actually coach sports. He's printed this off code sports who are friends of the show as well. They support us on a Tuesday, but they didn't have best on their tile. So we forgive Joel Harris and we now turn our attention to the coach sports. I think for me, you know, they're all great players and you've you're always going to have good options there for the Australian team again. It's up the kevvy and how he sees it coming together. But probably the biggest thing that stands out. There's only probably six or seven guys who have played deep into September and have got some match fitness still in them. No, you look at the names like Walsh and to avoid a bitch, Katani stags, monster Murray. And I'm Mitch Moses or they haven't played over in a month. I know some of them might have played in that prime minister's game. Just yet they run under their build.
But you know, it's not sort of long runway and into the world cup. You need to have success early. And they need to be getting their work in as soon as they can. Even those guys, I don't know when they're going to camp, but the roosters and the new castle boys are going to need at least a little bit of time off before they reload again. So yeah, that's that's the biggest thing getting in the camp. They might have one match against VG or something in the lead up. I'm not sure if they will way because obviously it kicks off a week on Thursday. Does it? Yeah, I don't know if you'll have the time to do a little warm. It's obviously across his roster because he's calling that game for triple M as well. Am I? Yeah, you're right. There you go. Glad you brought that out. I'm pretty different in the fall and we can put it in the calendar. Yeah, well, that's the biggest concern for me just looking at this and obviously I'm backing Australia. Yeah, I think we're going to do well, but some of those other teams are really stacked as well.
And they're going to need to be at their best. I think they'll good last year in the ashes. They're good enough to get that job done, but I wouldn't say that we're flying on all cylinders. And they need to start going in and hopefully bring the keep the world cup back here in Australia. I guarantee that the Kiwis win the World Cup. Yeah, well, they've got a good team. They've got a good team. No, their team, like if you look at this team now to come out, like the middle forwards of Australia compared to the middle forwards of New Zealand, we got Harpani, Nafahui White, James Fisher Harris, Aaron Clark. You're saying, Moga? Sorry. Did I? Yeah, I'm out of the wild. I'm out of the wild. It's being wagon for a little bit, buddy. I'm just, I'm usually opposed to the world. I'm bored in England, but I open Australia. Yeah, well, you know what? I love an underdog story though. It's not well. And technically the Kiwis are slung. Wow. I don't know about that, but I've looked at the middle of Australia. Tino, Karagon, Yo. I mean, Kalao Matangi.
Yeah, Yo, Pack, injury, Karagon, very quiet year. Kim Murray's a freak. Kim Murray's like an amazing player. The Martin, he misloss you didn't he with injury there. Yeah, it's good to see him back. He's in fine for a while. I'm happy with this name. Probably like the one that jumps out to me is Kobo. Yeah. But yeah, just not meant like not a lot of those boys playing a lot of footies for quite some time. It's just how they get in and connecting and get going and their match fitness. But I've still got, you know, real positive hopes for Australia. And I think they can get it done if they get to their best. Jimmy, what about England? The VC in their squad yet? No, it's not out yet. No, I think standard 38 man squad at the moment. Well, I'll wait until it's just that Jimmy's already declared his yelling. I like all Australian hosts, but you give England a chance with their team. Absolutely. I think I'm strong again. Yeah, we'll look at it. It'll be headline by some of the players over here. Obviously, heavy farm with exceptional.
And then a couple of the roosters played as well, rudely and Billy Smith, I think. And smaller pretty, say enough as well. I think you did. Yeah, I'm not sure if it'll make the score or not, but Jaden Braille has as well. Yeah, look, I'll wait and reserve judgment until a lot of teams out, but hopefully they go well. I mean, we get into reserve judgment. It's going to be pretty obvious what the team's going to be. Would you put heavy farm worth of fullback? No, Jack Wellsby. Okay, not AJ Brimson. No, Wellsby. Okay. That's just personal opinion. Well, I'd like her being the Seniors because he's pretty special. He still influences the game from that left hand side. I hate have to have the most touches for a lot of the Seniors in the competition because he goes looking for the work. And if the game's not coming to him, he's certainly not just going to stand out there and wait for it. He'll go looking for the game. So keeping in that left, Seniors want. Walsh or Teddy at fullback. Who you going for game one? Well, game one. Baby Walsh just to get him a run.
And to see how he goes because Teddy, you know, the break releasing going to hurt him if he misses one game. But if, yeah, I don't know, it depends what their lead up looked like. If they're going to get some more food in. Yeah, I don't know. So that's the decision for Kevin. He's going to work out who he thinks will be in the final 13 if they make the final. What's my best 13? Just go with that. Just go with that. Walsh is the incumbent. I mean, Teddy couldn't have done much more in this year in terms of what he brings. But I think I think he'll go with Walsh. Yeah. Well, it was you're on fire as always. You'll be back here on Monday, both of you, to preview the World Cup, which we count down by Monday, but only a few days until the World Cup kicks off. I think I'll have to do some, I'll have to do some, I'll have to go on the World Cup there. I better, I better reset you the games. I'll be a little bit under prepared today for the World Cup. So I was all about the Grand Final, Charlie. Yeah, I think that's what fans have been like. So we're all about the Grand Final. Anything else in the game we didn't discuss before we go.
Your boys happy to get out of here. Listen to what mate. All good for me, Chica. I'm sorry, I know.
