Lamont Attacks Fazio on Immigration | Hartford News

Governor Ned Lamont’s new ad goes after Republican challenger Ryan Fazio, linking him to controversial immigration enforcement policies — including allowing agents into schools and churches — and calling his vote against sanctuary protections “extreme.” Fazio fires back, calling the ad a constitutional lie and pointing out that Democrats also opposed the same bill, while arguing state laws can’t override federal immigration enforcement. The debate over sanctuary policies and law enforcement cooperation is heating up as both sides ramp up attacks ahead of the election.
