Lambeth Council Closes Dementia Center, Moves to New Location

Protesters gathered outside town hall that evening, urging a reversal. Care is where the new site lacks the quiet spaces, multiple rooms, and one-on-one support needed to manage anxiety and distress for their loved ones. Lambeth Unison launched a petition with nearly 550 signatures, accusing the council of deliberately running down the service over the last 18 months.
