Kennedys Slam Love Story's Caroline Portrayal

0:00It's April 16th. From Hollywood to your headphones, this is Entertainment and celebrity news today, powered by AI. I'm Cory with the story. Jack Schlossberg just spilled on his mom. Caroline Kennedy's take on Ryan Murphy's FX series Love Story about John F. Kennedy Jr. and Caroline. Beset. The 33-year-old showed her a clip of Grace Gummer playing Caroline and they cracked up laughing because it was way off-base. He described Gummer's character freaking out in a scene, nothing like his poised mom. Schlossberg stressed, it's all fiction, entertaining maybe, but straight up inaccurate and kind of dumb. The show dropped back in February and got mixed reviews right out the gate. Gummer, the 39-year-old daughter of Meryl Streep, said she dove deep into research to catch Caroline's vibe without straight imitating her. She talked to her respect for the 68-year-old Kennedy in interviews, hoping she nailed the essence. Not just the Kennedy's pushing back, though. Darryl Hanna, who dated JFK Jr. back in the day, fired off an open letter in the New York Times.

1:04The 65-year-old actress called her show's version, irritating and whiny, totally not her real life or relationship. All this buzz shows how tough it is to portray real icons without ruffling feathers, especially in a drama like this one that's got everyone talking.
