About this episode
Kamen Rider My-Th 04 has me increasingly convinced that Sora and Yuna's shared past, their families, and the unusual mechanics behind My-Th's transformation aren't separate mysteries. They're all connected, and the emotional story of these characters may be inseparable from the mythology behind My-Th itself.

My subset 4 was interesting. I enjoyed it. I thought it was very cool how we got to see Sora working on this theory of how this This theory of a dead monster or an undead monster how this thing this inexplicable came back after it had been destroyed and I think a really cool detail of it is that one half of the body is a left eye and the other half the body is a right eye so it's like 2 in 1 inexplicable or 1 and 2 whatever the inexplicable has like a split body and half of it is Here and half of it's there and it's able to maintain its existence across distance which is really fun and I just thought it was very cleverly put together how they framed that and how that was related to the fact that Shorie's dad is like an electrician electrical worker of some sort and how She was getting him this lamp this gift for his birthday which all the started on his birthday and she was supposed to make the cake for him and all this whole thing
It's like they have very good dramatic storytelling going on which also seeds the answer to the mystery of the monster and It enables you to do and and Sora together to figure out how to destroy the Fogashiki One thing I'm not 100% sure on though Is what the relevance of the lamp was was that just a red herring? I Don't remember why the Street light blowing up Specifically help to lead them to the answer that they were looking for for how to kill this thing And I don't remember Well, anyway, there's like some lore stuff going on like I guess the Fogashiki have to have a heart in them when you destroy them You don't destroy the heart that you don't kill the actual thing or if it has a heart it can still come back I guess Which is interesting by more interested in the Character dynamic story that was going on which is we see more explicitly that you know made a promise with our parents
That she would practice the violin get good enough and then her dad would play with her which kind of seems mean But I think it was supposed to be sweet because he's encouraging her to pursue excellence in her, you know piano playing and the reward is they play together But it just feels real a little bit But I love that The direction last episode was subtle enough that I Clocked that detail and it came back and we even had the prop returning this episode and you know falls asleep while Looking at it. It's on the desk with her when she on the table through when she falls asleep And it's this very significant thing and we need to see flashes of what happened in the past It's very vague you get this odd POV shot of this creature Or somebody in a suit maybe I mean the claws look very much like cat claws. I'll be honest so it could have been Mal himself doing this but I don't know for sure
They get attacked and and Eunice parents die and it looks like it almost looks like as a kid Sore was actually able to transform into mice and fight and defeat a creature One of them explainable It's weird because his dad was there, but I think his dad probably died in the car crash initially He was in the front and the front of it took the brunt of the damage and I think Eunice parents were Their bodies were outside of the car So maybe they got out and they were killed there don't know the details because they're concealing it from us Obviously also you probably don't want to show you know parents getting murdered in front of their kid on a kid show But you can imply it of course Anyway, and then there's this whole thing where Uncle The older guy shows up and he tells I'm sorry that he did a good job which to me totally implies that he transformed also the fact that he's holding the belt
implies that he transformed and there's this weird purple haze that pops up behind Eunice when her parents die So like almost I wonder if her mother was the one who had the ability to Let Mr. Oatsomey sores dad activate and become mice and Once her mother died that ability was transferred to her somehow and it makes me really curious about this Cooperation needed for them to transform which is highlighted at the end of the episode when Eunice falls asleep in Sores arms while he's holding her in his you know, he's transformed. He's in his wolf frame and he's like hey Wake up. You need to let me stop You know you need to let me out of the transformation and while she's asleep Apparently she can't do that and while she falls asleep, he can't just you know he won't just untransformed. She has to Authorize him to transform and to detransform or whatever Which is interesting and it makes you wonder exactly how they're all linked together and What could have happened to drive this evolution also if or since the Musinou family is?
is linked to this organization that's been dealing with inexplicable with Fukashiki Maybe the other ones who partnered with The original mice from a hundred years ago. Maybe he was a founding member Maybe he was related to them. Maybe he himself was one of the family and Yeah, I know that's a lot of speculation, but I think there's definitely some intrinsic link between them and The fact that they're connected to each other and the way that the zodiac alliance transforms with the extra thing to crack the egg for them and The fact that he wears his belt differently and he has her help him transform There's something going on and I'm really curious about the mysteries of the show and I want to know more about her parents and her parents death and how they dealt with that in the aftermath and That's an emotional story and it's tied directly to the mechanical story of you know how he how sword became mice
And how all that worked and was his dad mice which I presume he was before him Like these things are all connected to each other and it's nice because While the emotional story of the characters is getting moved forward or you know There's something that I'm curious about want to get drawn more into It also because it's linked to the mechanical stuff it makes it makes It more potent because you're not wasting time going into the relationship stuff You're not wasting time dealing with the emotional things and the you know family history All of the personal stuff matters to and impacts the you know heroic stuff They're the Togo stuff and that's a lot of fun and it makes it all more rewarding What wasn't fun was that while I appreciate the wolf frame giving mice purple eyes wolves and purple that's a good combination for me and He got these cool elbow blades like Gaiver
or like Gosh what's he called galaxy rising I think jeed ultra in jeed Well, he got those he only used them for a very short amount of time and he ended up pulling out his sword which the I can't remember what it's called his little sword is not that long It doesn't increase his reach that much. I will admit that it you know Doing this and being able to slash as much easier than doing this to slash At an enemy so I can understand why he's using the sword, but I think it should be illegal for him to use the sword And it's a big complaint that if he's got elbow blades. He's got to use the elbow blades. He can't use non elbow blades This is how it is like an o's when he was in Tatova and he would use the sword as opposed to using his claws his tiger claws Drowed me nuts. It's wrong. It shouldn't be done. It's perverse and it doesn't make any sense. So anyway
I got to give him a know by the wolf has the elbow blades probably act as things But then the full moon Unlocks his muzzle and he's able to actually bite which is another silly thing and it made me like I I didn't like it and I didn't like it because it doesn't make sense that something that you have to do or that you you know a Battle ability would be locked to the environment like that like with you know if you're using wolf at night or during the day Then you can't use it at all unless the moon happens to be out during the day, which sometimes is and Like if the moon is covered by clouds, he can't use it But if it's uncovered by clouds and he can and that's just very silly and I was thinking like oh how dumb is this like I hate to say It's a stupid idea and then I thought about the fact that every time Kiva did a right or kick it became night the moon is full and he flew up in front of it and then did his kick But I can forgive it because it's Kiva and it's perfect. So anyway Let me which you thought about this episode And if you had problems with the slack of elbow blade use like I did
