Judge Halts Trump's $400M White House Ballroom

0:00On March 31, a federal judge just slammed the brakes on President Trump's plan to build a $400 million ballroom at the White House. Trump had the East Wing torn down last year to clear space for this massive $90,000 square foot project. The National Trust for Historic Preservation sued, claiming he overstepped by demolishing the historic structure without Congress signing off. Even though the judge was appointed by George W. Bush, he sided with the preservation group and issued a preliminary injunction. That means construction stays frozen until the full lawsuit plays out, leaving the ballroom dream on ice for now.
