Okay, now we're happy. Now Holly, please irritate Colleen. Yeah, bringing the story to you, Colleen, about Jeremy Strong. Just to irritate you. Because Jeremy Strong is in a new movie. It's called The Social Reckoning. It's the sequel to The Social Network. I cannot wait to see it. The Facebook movie. Jeremy Strong playing Mark Zuckerberg this time. And he is not apologizing for being a method actor. No, well, not gonna breathe. Jeremy Strong says he doesn't need to apologize. He does. Sorry. He doesn't need to apologize to his colleagues who may feel he's taking his process to seriously. That's your problem. That's called a YP Colleen. Your problem, Colleen. Yeah, you know what? It is my problem. It maybe it is my problem. And I find you to be insufferable. That is my prerogative. You get to do whatever you want to do, whatever your process is fine. And I get to react to it.

However, it feels right to me. But Colleen, Jeremy Strong says that it's in service of the material. Then this better be bleep and good. And he said, I personally think he's talking to the New Yorker podcast. I personally think that a lot of the reactions to it are of a personal nature. Yeah, fine. A brief YP Colleen. Yeah. Which again, it's true. It's your problem. For those who don't know, I find method acting to be the most ridiculous, ridiculous technique used specifically by people who really enjoy the smell of their own brand. It is manipulative. It is obnoxious. It's manipulative and obnoxious. I just, I can't. I actually can't. It's manipulative and obnoxious. And like Brian Cox, his succession co-star said,

it's bleep and annoying. Yes. Because again, if you are requiring everybody as part of your process, everybody in your midst to address you as though you are the human that you are not. A lot of President Lincoln. Okay. Thank you. Daniel D Lewis. Famously. Yeah. But Jeremy Strung is like, look, if some people think that I'm taking it too seriously or it changes the molecules in the room in a way that makes something uncomfortable, I guess at something, I don't feel I need to apologize before. I mean, because he's elevating the room, man. He is elevating the room for you, Colleen. Here's what I'm going to say about this. This remains to be seen. He better kill that role then. If you are willing to make everybody around you irritated for a role, you better, you better deliver. Then people might

be okay with it. I, you know, again, it remains to be seen. I don't know how he is in this role. He better be good. But I still think it's obnoxious and insufferable. I do too. I've never been around anybody method acting, but I can imagine how I would react to it. Oh, he imagined and it would not be cute. What? We always reference it because it's one of the more famous examples. Didn't Sally Field get irritated with Daniel D Lewis. She played marially. I'm sure she did. I'm sure she did because she's a practical human being. I mean, how far? I mean, who was it? Somebody, oh, dang it. This is going to drive me crazy. Holly, I bet you remember. Some actress said this about method actors, like women can't method act. Yeah, it was on your Taylor Jewish. She said this fairly recently. Very recently. She was like, women can't actually, we don't have the bandwidth to method act because we actually have to take care of bleep.

So yeah, I bet Sally Field got real annoyed because she probably was like, I gotta, I gotta get home and make dinner. And I can't make dinner as Mary Todd Lincoln. I gotta make dinner as myself. Yeah, right? It is a luxury to live in a space where you can forget yourself and just be a character. That is a luxury. Yep. Oh, God, I can't. I don't have time. I can't go to lunch as Mary Todd Lincoln. Can you imagine just rolling up to cub foods as Mary Todd Lincoln to pick up your fried chicken from the deli? Part in my hoops skirt. Yeah, exactly. Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, just knocking over displays left, right in center. You go riding your horse. Yep. Do you have specials on ham today? That's the other thing. Like Daniel D Lewis.

Did you, whoa, were you riding an afford? I mean, like if you were right, like if, do you see what I'm saying? Yeah, they didn't have Doritos. I'll take it. Yes. In the 19th century. Yes. So it's not like you could be like, oh boy. Is Abraham Lincoln a cool ranch guy or a nacho cheese? Like do you make craft services only serve you? Mutton era appropriate. Sally Field goes into great clips to have her ringlets. Right. To three done. Right. Oh my gosh. Like are they? Are they not using plumbing? Like what's the deal? Oh, God. I mean, I'm sure they had plumbing then, but you know what I'm saying? Well, not good plumbing. Yeah. Yeah. So think I'm just getting the image of Mary Todd Lincoln perusing the salad bar in her hoops skirt at cub. Not going over the end. Cutting me. Cutting me. Cutting me. Cutting all the trick or treat candy displays. Mary Todd just

knocking them all down. You know, these aisles aren't very wide, are they? No. They're not made for these hoops skirt. But again, but she would have never done it. Oh, God. Also, I'm just imagining Daniel D Lewis just like bopping around town wearing a big hat. He looked like an idiot, sir. Somebody tell him he's not a bram Lincoln. I dare you to do that. Yeah, no thanks. Oh.
