Welcome to the week two Jalen Hertz rewatch report card. Just got back from Tennessee a little bit earlier. Got the early morning flight. I hope everybody that was in Tennessee for the game got home safely on Monday. Or if you took that extra day, hope you're enjoying the extra day in that excruciating heat. I'm not going to lie. I feel as if I might have pulled a hamstring or something walking back from the stadium. My hamstrings feel way tighter than normal. I didn't do a good job hydrating in Tennessee. I do wonder if that is an issue. But got home Monday morning from Tennessee. And of course the first thing I did turned on the tape to rewatch that game from Jalen Hertz. So if you're new to the Jalen Hertz rewatch report card, thank you very much for tuning in. Very much appreciate it.

4:03What we do here is rewatch the game together. Go over a ton of plays. What I liked, what I didn't like and see if the grade that I gave Jalen initially after the game, where I gave him an A minus after that game. See if that sticks. If I thought he was better, worse, you know, the same after rewatching it. Last week, it was the same. I think I gave him a B plus watching it. And I gave him a B plus on the rewatch. And normally the grade changes. But for the second straight week, I think it might be staying the same. So we're going to get into it. We are going to look at a bunch of the plays from the game and break it all down. So Jalen Hertz goes 26 of 37, 264 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and has five carries for 16 yards. So as always, you know, I'd imagine very few people do this, but I think it's fun to consider doing it. You should rewatch the game while I talk about this. We can watch the place together. It might make a little more sense. I'll try my best to paint the picture of what I'm seeing. So Eagles offense takes the field 1257 to play.

5:06First play is obviously a run to Seikwon. Seikwon gets hurt. And he basically isn't in the rest of the game. I know he has, I think, three carries maybe in the second half, but he's not involved in the game. So second and 10, the first pass, everybody's favorite play. That little like wide receiver, running back, tight end, bubble screen, type thing that they love to run. It's a swing pass to tank Bigsby. I actually thought it was a good throw by Jalen. I think sometimes on these plays, he doesn't have the best ball location and that can throw off the timing. The blocking was actually pretty good on it too. I thought it was set up well. I just thought tank Bigsby actually did a poor job. I feel like he should have hit up field sooner. Or, but, you know, and he would have had a lane there with the blocking. But instead, he kind of cuts back to the inside. A defender gets him. So look, those plays are bad. I am not a fan of those plays. They never seem to work, but they run it. And of course, they are in. I believe tank only gets, you know, a few yards. I think he actually loses two yards. So the next play is third and 12.

6:06A theme on the day. Jalen was in third and longs, you know, a ton. I think of the 18 or 19 first downs. Sorry, of the 18 or 19 third downs. Only three of them were in third and short. So he really spent a lot of time in the game with long, long distances to go on third down. Now, it's interesting rewatching this. I thought the past protection was actually better than it was given credit for, like, in the reaction. And that's always the case, right? Like, the reaction is the offensive light didn't play well. And then that snowball is in the eat everybody trying to like, re up them, you know, trying to one up each other on how bad it was. But I thought him this third and 12 play actually had two really good options. The pocket is perfect. He has all the time he needs to let the play develop. And they complete this one. So it's kind of like two players running in breaking routes from the same side. Hollywood Brown is deeper and on Taving Wicks ultimately ends up with the ball is underneath Hollywood. I thought Hollywood Brown seemed open for an even bigger game.

7:06But Jalen lets the play develop hits Wicks who's also wide open over the middle. I did think the accuracy on this play like Wicks has to stop for the ball completely. There is a defender kind of coming. So maybe Jalen wanted Wicks to stop so he didn't run into that defender. But I thought if he hit Wicks and stride, there was a chance for him to continue running. But still a positive play third and 12. Maybe you could have gone to Hollywood. Maybe the past could have been a little better. But ultimately, if you complete a third and 12, that's a net positive play obviously for the quarterback. So 1147 to play next first quarter, first and 10. Thought it was kind of a weird decision by Hertz on this play. Hollywood Brown is open to the right side, which is where Hertz is rolling after play action. But instead, Hertz stops, like completely stops, resets his feet and throws it kind of across his body to go to, at the very least, he threw it against the way he was going. And I think like the momentum of stopping all of the sudden kind of put his body in a weird place. But the pass is short and it bounces.

8:07So I didn't think that was a good decision by Hertz. And that's not something you're in here often here because out of the 42 drop backs that Hertz made. I thought he was like really good on 37, 38 of them. So in the fact you had two interceptions and I still think he played well, speaks to how well he played. So next play just over 9 and a half minutes ago in the first quarter, second and nine. Hertz once again has a pretty clean pocket. It looks like Wix is open over the middle. Now, what's tough to tell, and this is where I benefit from watching it on the couch with an overhead view, Hertz is in the pocket. It does seem like maybe a linebacker is blocking Hertz vision. So instead of hitting Wix, Hertz throws it to Goddard who gets absolutely clocked after the catch. It's the second time this season, Hertz has thrown what you might consider like a hospital ball. I thought the one in week one where Don Tavine Wix got drilled, like Rissoul made a really nice play to come off of his guy and hit Wix. But I did think during training camp, Hertz threw quite a bit of hospital balls.

9:08In fact, some of his even like highlight throws, I think if defenders were able to fully hit the receiver, might have not even been completion. So that is something I'm definitely monitoring. Like two things Hertz has done that's out of character for him so far since training camp started outside of the interceptions. One, hospital balls and two throwing it across the middle, throwing the ball across his body back to the middle. So you definitely saw that very early on in this game. So next play 844 to play in the first quarter, third and five. So a somewhat manageable third down. And I thought this play like it's not going to be in the sports center top 10. It's not going to be a play people really remember. But I thought it was a sign of things to come into game with Hertz just being like completely control in what's going on. It was just like a awesome simple play by Hertz. Devante wins at the line of scrimmage. The play clears out the middle form with the other receivers. He runs like that quick kind of slant route. We've seen Jalen throw to AJ so many times. And Jalen throws a great pass to him for eight yards on third and five.

10:09Just really good chemistry throw catch route like simple stuff but big play on third down to get the first down. Next up 16 to play in the first quarter, second and eight. And this play just seems dead from the jump because of the pressure. Hertz looks to his left but it's covered and also because of the pressure the timing seemed like it was off. It was Tyler Steen that allowed pressure on this. And so Hertz basically just spikes it at the foot of somebody to avoid the sack. And he did that a lot throughout the game. Obviously there's that big one at the end of the game that we'll talk about when we get there. But there were a lot of plays that you know were blown up and didn't turn into sacks and just turned in in completions because Hertz got rid of the ball in a smart way. Whether that's essentially spiking it to someone where he can do it. He doesn't get called for intentional grounding. Whether that's throwing the ball, you know, getting outside the pocket throwing the ball past the line of scrimmage. Throwing the ball out of bounds like he did a really good job. A lot of high football IQ plays I thought from Jalen in this game.

11:11So after that play it's third and eight. Here's the interception. So the pocket is clean. Like the pocket is absolutely clean on this. I don't love the decision to throw it to Devante. Now Fran Duffy of PHY who I mean just does unbelievable work did a really good job breaking the play down. You should check it out if you haven't seen it. Now I just the only thing I disagree with on Fran with this. So just to set the picture right like Devante is Devante is running you know a somewhat of a like a hitch route type thing in the end zone where you know at the top of the route though he loses in my opinion like the coverage is really good. He almost looks like he slips a little bit but a money hooker is off to the left and hookers body is like his back is to Devante. But to me it looks like hooker very much beach Jalen into throwing this throwing this because the second Jalen's about to throw it and you can see him start to make the motion like hooker jumps the pass. So I thought Jalen was baited into it. I do think it was a really good play by hooker but even if hooker is not involved in it like let's just say you erase him from the field.

12:18I still think it's either incomplete it or potentially picked off because I thought Devante lost at the top of the route. So clean pocket you know like just a bad decision bad throw by Jalen and it was a huge play like it was absolutely huge play. It's set the tone for this game kind of needing to cut it's at the tone for the game being closer than it needed to be because if they score there. I mean you very well could be up 14 nothing with how well they move the ball in the next drive as well. The Titans didn't move the ball great in the first half you gift them kind of a touchdown the hooker runs it all the way back to like the six yard line. Credit to McCoy lemon for really hustling and getting getting them down it wasn't just lemon though like Devante ran down there. Jalen ran down there so good hustle play you know it's not the end all be all of the play because I was the interception is poor. But I thought it was a poor decision by Jalen I thought he was baited into it. So next up 227 to play second and six in the first quarter really good pocket for her it's I think he's maybe a little late to Devante on it was basically a hit route but but they get the first down.

13:23And again Devante really stood out rewatching this to like the chemistry they have how often he goes to some of the catches he's made so many different types of catches like down at his feet sideline reaching up for it like he really displayed all the different types of catches he can make so next up third and eight 14 seconds to go first quarter. So the pocket does break down a little bit on this I think hurts adjust well he keeps his eyes down the field I thought there was a lane for him to run into it if he wanted to but instead he kind of like you know keeps himself in the pocket keeps his eyes down the field and he just fires it in there to McCoy lemon for the first down so McCoy lemon I think they went in the scramble drill because McCoy lemon he sees hurts gets pressured starts to like run across the middle of the field towards a sideline that hurts is kind of being forced out to. He's got a ton of separation so he's got a yard there maybe yard or two but between him and the defender jailing gets it to McCoy and McCoy does a really good job holding on to the ball like I the defender hit him after he caught it they kind of looked like they may be tussling forward a little bit on the way down the ground so I thought a really nice play for McCoy I mean it's legitimately I think the best play I've seen McCoy lemon makes since they drafted whether that be in OTA's mini camps training camp pretty good.

14:42I think it's a really nice job to be a season week one I thought this was the best play McCoy has made and a really nice job like Jalen keeping his eyes down the field and finding McCoy for the first down on third and eight and man to Jalen bailed him out of third and long so many times so second quarter now 15 minutes of play first play of the second quarter first and 10 really nice catch by Devonte on a low pass by Hertz that is kind of along the sidelines Devonte's wide open I don't know if Hertz tried to put it low just to make it were only Devonte could get it but Devonte did a really nice job going down for the ball probably saved Hertz from what would look like a bad miss if Devonte doesn't make that catch but I do think there was some aspect of it of putting it low so that so no other defender could so the defender there and coverage couldn't get it so next up second and one eight 53 to play so quite a while between passes here almost half the quarter I thought the chemistry between Devonte and Jalen as I've said was really on the

15:42side of the game so I think it's really a good idea to play in this game and last year maybe not as much last year but like 23 and 24 you know 22 a little bit like I didn't think Jalen was great at timing routes right like he wasn't great at throwing with anticipation he's gotten much much better at it and this was a play where you could really see that the ball before Devonte even starts his cut to the sideline so when Devonte is on his way to the sideline the ball is already on the way like it's an impossible pass to defend Devonte catches it with the ball basically out of bounds his feet are along the sideline so many great sideline catches in this game from the receivers. So just a good throw by Jalen good anticipation great catch by Devonte they get the first down they keep the keep the drive going so 753 to play second and eight one of the rare plays where I didn't think anything was open the pocket breaks down and the pressure I think the pressure was the offensive line was good in the first quarter in the last drive and then you know plays in between there obviously but I thought the second and third quarter is where the offensive line really kind of kind of struggled the

16:51pocket breaks down hurts grambles ends up losing a yard but avoids avoids a larger loss or a sack there on the play so nice play from Jalen there. Next play third and nine 713 to play so this is the play that everyone got really mad at rubri's about about so if you didn't hear this all describe the play first and then say what you said so nothing is open at the top of the drop for her it's third and nine again nothing's open like I didn't think he like hesitated I didn't think he should have thrown that there's nothing there and definitely nothing at the sticks like there's maybe somebody that I think once Jalen already had to run was kind of maybe open but I don't think that there was like an obvious throw here to make so Jalen runs up the middle it's third and excuse me third and nine and he slides right he slides because there's like three defenders running towards him drew breeze as he should have kind of put his shoulder down and run to get the first down and people obviously got very upset about that so look I think drew breeze he's calling a game he wants to you know make it feel like it's a big game and you know every game is a big game

17:58but I would be pretty surprised if in a meeting room drew breeze actually thinks Jalen should have fought for the yards there he would have got hit it's early on it's early in the game early in the season I think Jalen did the right thing going down there and I think he does a very good job of deciding when he should go down so does he slide like a fraction early maybe but he avoids a hit and I think I trust his judgment when he should go down he's always been really good about knowing when to when to get down but drew breeze didn't like it and people did not like drew breeze for pointing that out so all right now we're you know a little over midway through the through the second quarter 626 to play fourth into Cereani goes for it at the 46 tied seven to seven really a really good decision I thought from from Cereani you know if you don't go for it there I mean I guess you you're not going to kick the feel goal there I mean they make a 58 yard or so potentially you're considering it but because they go for it and Jalen makes an awesome throw on it like even though it was only a five yard completion the ball probably traveled like 25 yards like across the field right to don't

19:06Aby and Wicks makes the catch a good zip on the past they complete the they complete the the the fourth down conversion and the drive continues because that so thought it was a really good play from Jalen really good decision by Nick Cereani and kept the drive alive and I love going for it on 4th down when you cannot when you can do it so of course after getting a 4th down they immediately find themselves behind the sticks again there at 3rd and 12 this is with 239 to play and I said earlier I thought hurts really seem control in control of this game and I thought on this play especially like to be completely honest it looks like he's been running this offense for years so he's you know he's he's in shotgun he starts the most motion doesn't like what he sees steps up to the line I don't know if he's giving like a protection note or if he's you know odd a bling or what's going on but he's communicating something gets everybody in the right place and then on the play 3rd and 12 just a just a six sick awesome play by Jalen so he stands in the pocket despite Simmons bearing down on him gets drilled on the throw and delivers a great past to Wicks for the for the first down it is ironic that Simmons is throughout the week or said the one time you know we want to make them play

20:18in order back and I know he kind of backtracked a little bit and said I didn't mean it as an insult but the fact that Simmons so many times was bearing down on Jalen and Jalen stood there and just absolutely delivered dot after dot I thought you know really you know Jalen said after the game he did notice it he said to he said to Simmons you know he started it Jalen had to finish it and plays like that he absolutely did it so 3rd and 12 big first down big throw to Don Tavian wicks from the pocket pressure and that's a thing to like those plays like players on his team notice that like Jalen standing in the pocket getting absolutely drilled and still completing it like when they're in the tape what when they're in the meeting room watching the tape they will notice that and gain respect for tail and so I thought it was a really good play later in the drive of course second and 19 again because it's always like second and third and past ten yards another awesome play by her it's right after the awesome one to to Don Tavian wicks this was a next pass he attempted I think it was price runs there in between her penalty

21:18and this is the touchdown to Devante so the pocket breaks down one thing I love I don't know if it's from watching like the grudin quarterback tape I think it was with Carson he used to do it but like putting two hands on the football when you're maneuvering the pocket Jalen looks like he puts it looks like he puts two hands on the ball he runs to the right gets out of the pocket and like on the run while he's going like cocks it back boom down the field probably goes about 30 yards from where you threw it to where Devante caught it perfectly and stride right where needed to be easy catch for Devante I mean just like a absolutely like I don't want to say it's like a top 20 play hurts ever makes he's obviously made a ton of big plays but that play combined with the wicks play it was like back to back just Jalen absolutely crushing it as a passer in this offense very very impressive so awesome first half for Jalen as we know the second half doesn't go as well until the end we're going to get into the second half on the other side but first a word from our sponsors are you dealing with drafts plus high utility bills this fall call

24:34sign up today at I excel learning dot com slash audio visit I excel learning dot com slash audio to get the most effective learning program out there at the best price all right so the third quarter begins did the halftime pod with Tucker you should check that out it's on YouTube and socials during the halftime of every game you can come here my halftime thoughts as well as talk with other Eagles fans in the chat here Tucker's thoughts it's always a very fun eight to 10 minutes and what I like about it is we kind of say all right here's what we think they need in the second half so it's 14 to 10 I said to myself I don't think the Titans are getting into 20s right I don't think they're going to do it now the Titans end up getting exactly 20 points right so they do need to score 10 points in the second half to win the game and so they start the they start this their next possession on offense 13 19 to play in the third quarter as always second in 19 and the fact that this play doesn't result in a sack is is a miracle or with Jalen hurt to be completely honest the pressure gets there super quick nobody's really open anyway I didn't like

25:38look and say oh man they had something here if the pressure doesn't get there it didn't look to me like anybody was open hurts runs runs around the pocket like trying to avoid guys left and right and then he decides to throw it and honestly like I didn't love the decision to throw it just because he really exposes himself like he throws the ball and gets drilled as he throws it so like he gets hit with his arm up in the air I would kind of rather him not expose his body like that but it's second and 12 because I'm getting seven yards on it instead of a or I guess I should say third and 12 instead of third and forever so risks his body like I don't love it but he does get seven yards they get to a third and 12 and I thought the third and 12 play was maybe the first negative play from her besides the interception obviously I've you know pointed out little things here and there but I thought this was one of the first negative play so the pressures there pretty quickly but I think two outlets are open for her to throw the ball and I think he has the ability to get rid of it like when there was pressure throughout this game I didn't look and say

26:40like oh you definitely could have thrown it here or like why didn't he pull the trigger there I thought this was one of the first plays where I went there was something there for him if he wanted to get rid of it so Hertz runs probably because all the pressure that's been coming throughout the game like it definitely starts to impact a quarterback but he's caught from behind for an 11 yard loss they obviously have to punt the ball but I you know and there was room to run I think it was probably like chip Lee and month maybe that were that were there um but they had room to run if they get the ball so I thought this was one of the first negative plays besides the interception for Hertz so 849 to play third and five nice play overall I thought like the protections good the ball comes out quick sake one is wide open for the easy first down on a short pass to the right sideline he has room to run Jalen hits him and stride good play call by Sean Manion but good execution by by the players as well so they convert that there down good throw by Jalen like I said the protection holds up which you've heard me say quite a bit throughout this to like the protection I think Jalen was pressured on 17 of 43 dropbacks which is 40% and that's

27:44that's far too high but there was a lot of plays where Jalen had a clean pocket so I thought just like good throw good call good catch gets the first down so next first and 10 not the best play from Hertz the pocket is perfect Devante is open the ball feels like it comes out maybe a tick too late and then it's also under thrown so you remember this is the play where Devante nearly caught it along the sideline in the ends when everybody went crazy in the crowd thinking was a touchdown he ends up being quite a bit out of bounds but I thought Jalen was just like a little late on this I thought if he got rid of it a little sooner and then just threw a better ball Devante has a catch has a potential opportunity to make a touchdown but unfortunately it is under thrown and Jalen and you know Devante has to fight for it he gets it but he's also out of bounds so I think not a great throw there from from Jalen so third and 10 later in the drive so McCoy lemons wide open on a hitch route on this in this play but pressure forces Hertz off his spot and he throws the timing off so I still think Jalen maybe had a chance to throw it to McCoy anyway but Hertz ends up looping

28:49around in the pocket running for his life and throws the ball away so you know as I'm like reliving this maybe there were more like five or six negative plays from Jalen not like two or three but I do think here the pressure definitely definitely impacted it so long time until the Eagles get the ball back or at least until Jalen throws it again 57 seconds to play in the third quarter second and eight I thought the play action on this one was like pretty half-hearted you know the Eagles hadn't run the ball well this is the one thing we hadn't considered is if they don't run the ball well the play action doesn't doesn't really do anything like I know it makes you think but we had said all offseason well the play action is not going to work if they're not scared of you throwing the ball it's actually the reverse right now like throwing the ball way better than they're running it so I thought the play action was half-hearted Hertz has a clean pocket he moves in it well he has Cooper wide open this was probably the worst miss of the game for Jalen I think it has to be a completion Cooper is going across the middle he's open it's a you know it's it's late in the game here the game is tight it just Jalen puts it too far ahead of him so kind of like against

29:54Washington we're at the end of that second quarter kind of into the third I thought Jalen wasn't at his best there was that little stretch there in the third quarter with like the late past to Devante the inaccurate past the Darius Cooper and then you know maybe holding it onto a little tick late when he could have thrown it to to to Mackay so final play the third quarter I thought was noteworthy third and eight Hertz has Cooper open on a hitch route but the pressure ruins the play forces Hertz off his spot Hertz avoids like avoids like five defenders to avoid a sack and throws it away comment the him throughout the day right Jalen really running around a lot in the pocket so now we're at the fourth quarter they start the fourth quarter off 955 to play second and 12 it looked like it was it was a designed run and it's noteworthy to me they have not have many design runs I thought they had won the first week not including toch pushes won the first week against Washington I thought this was kind of really the only design run that they know where they to me there hasn't been a ton of design runs this season we talked all off season

30:55about how Jalen had to be an impact on the ground an impact player on the ground and he has been but not in the way everyone expected like it's come from broken plays but there's not been a lot of designed run so just the one last week just this one this week doesn't get much on it at all I think he just breaks even on the play so next up 921 to play in the fourth quarter third and 12 hitch route the winning route and they run I'll tell you what on big plays they still run a lot of hitch routes right with I think speaks to what the players on the field and Jalen feel very comfortable with hitch route for 13 yards pocket is good Devante wins big on the route creates a ton of separation the timing is great Devante gets the pass completed third and 12 another third and long completed by by Jalen 810 to play first and 17 long run by Darry's Cooper and this was a really nice throw by Jalen and it was really nice play by Jalen it looks like he drops back his first read isn't there he adjusts you can see him turn his body to the middle of the field finds Cooper in stride who then is able to get up field in turns what was maybe like a you know

31:585 6 7 yard catch something like that into a 23 yard run and what I like about this is Jalen going through his progressions right the first one's not there boom shift my body middle the field throw it over the middle really nice play in stride like this is kind of you're starting to see more and more of some of the things everyone wanted to see in this offense especially in the passing game the running game remains a disaster but the passing game is better all right 608 to play third and 12 the second interception and I don't think you guys are going to like my opinion on this but I'll concede maybe I'm wrong here so this is the play the interception down the left sideline so right to be getting out the corner falls down but across from Devante Smith so Devante has a free release basically he's going down the field now because of the attention Devante you know demands and has earned there are safeties on that side so Jalen throws a deep to Devante there are safeties there but it's a chance for a huge play so watching it live and kind of like the consensus was well Jalen got hit and that's why it impacted the throw I have to be honest like

33:04rewatching it I did not think they hit impacted him as much as maybe people say like he's got that ball almost out by the time that he gets hurt now maybe I'm sorry hit hopefully not hurt maybe he short changes it a little he doesn't like fully because he thinks it's coming so I will acknowledge that like the play that the the the hit did impact the throw to a degree but I I just thought even watching it come out of his hands maybe it coming out of his hand it just wasn't the best throw and it's cam ger against that gets beat on this play by the way from Jeffrey Simmons so I don't think it impacts it as much I'll concede I might be wrong but it looked like it was way short anyway so two interceptions and again the fact that I gave him a minus despite the fact he had two interceptions really really speaks to how good he was those other those other plays of the game so the interception happens the Titans go down the field they take the lead and here comes the drive and I do think we need to think of a a nickname for this drive like

34:04it's not the music city miracle obviously it's like you know something in the heat like something like that let's all get creative so 156 to play one 10 first and 10 fourth quarter no time out I actually didn't like the first decision by herds on the drive he throws it over the middle with the defender running at wicks if the defender's just a little quicker I do think there is a chance that maybe this is picked off at the very least like bad it up in the air luckily I you know I think it hits wicks but he's hit as it comes to him and so the ball is incomplete but not the first play right and it was maybe only one of the few plays where I thought hurt seemed a little like frantic where else like we got to do something right and I understand why I given the situation but he was so calm the rest of the drive I thought that play looked a little like you don't have to throw that pass so second and 10 they get a nice short completion of Devon tape for four yard sets up a shorter third down third and six so third and six the old line holds up pretty well but right as hurts let's it fly to wicks he's hit the throw is I would say like a nine out of a 10

35:07a wicks does have to make some adjustment in the air to catch the ball but again hurts in the pocket getting hit as he throws like he stood in that pocket strong on on Sunday even with so much pressure and it's harder to do when you know the pressure has been there all day and you know you're probably going to get hit to stand in the pocket like that is super impressive so third and six really nice throw to don't to be in wicks 51 seconds to play at this point first and 10 and this is the play that might have won the game if you hadn't actually won the game with two later plays but the avoided sack the pressure is there right away because they try to double Simmons but as a result a defender comes free he gets a free run right at jail and he gets his hands right around jail and midsection the fact jail and doesn't go down you know we talk about how much he squats right the 600 pounds the the fact that you know he can do the push push the strength it took not to go down on this play I think is super impressive like the midsection and like quad you know like strength it takes not to go down I think I mean I certainly I would have gone down but I think

36:09a lot of quarterbacks go down there no easy not go down he he's able to like you know thank toward his body I don't know if that's the right phrase to throw it to like get it out he gets outside of the box he gets it back to the line of scrimmage huge huge play could it easily been second and 20 the clock's running you don't have any time outs instead it's you know it's second and 10 the clock isn't running so massive massive play by jail and so this next play I thought jail did a really good job to avoiding a turnover the ball is snapped snapped hurts looks right to shiply and he cocks his arm back ready to throw it but he pulls it back at the last second and I think it's because he saw a defender like start to jump the route so he runs it for four yards up the middle but really saved himself from a turnover there so I thought good job by jail and that could have been you know he throws an interception there this is reminiscent of the chargers game last year right a lot of a lot of turnovers turnovers at the end of the game but he doesn't right he doesn't he pulls it down gets four yards so now it's third and six and this is the awesome play to Devonte now what's impressive about this is hurts is looking that way the entire

37:13time so the defense you know should have a pretty good idea of where this is going the pocket is clean great throw over two defenders in the area plus a defender behind Devonte amazing catch by Devonte again like that's why you pay jail and all the money that's why you pay Devonte all the money you know the play call was good the offensive line held up like when nix says football is a team game I thought that third down play really showed it so Devonte and jail and get the highlight but man a great play overall and then it's the game winning touchdown so 14 seconds to go first and goal at the three hurts rolls to his right it seems like Devonte is the target he slips which kind of takes him out but the Titans defenders like mix up there they don't not run into each other but like they both go with Devonte it allows Cooper to spring free in the back of the end zone and the throw look like it wasn't a 10 out of 10 but it was good enough and there is Cooper jumps up gets the ball comes down both feet and bounds in the Eagles win the game so you just look at that final drive how many big plays jail and made the game winning touchdown the third down completion the

38:16avoided sack you know pulling it back and not throwing it to Will Shipley that could have been intercepted then you look at some of the third down plays he made right like some of the big throws to Devonte the big throws to wicks the avoided negative place throughout the game the first touchdown to Devonte was an unbelievable throw from jalen so I gave him an a minus watching it live and rewatching it I'm still at a minus now this time if you told me I had to go up or down I might go to a b plus just because to like really dingham for the interceptions they're just not going to win many games or jail throws to interceptions I think they're four and 11 now in games where jalen throws were in games really lose the turnover battle by two or more under nick and jalen so you know a lot of third and long so definitely some stuff to take away from this where you can't repeat this on offense they need to be better running the ball but that's the benefit of having a franchise quarterback like how many times have we watched games with Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen Lamar Jackson you know Matthew Stafford not Joe burrow like those games where
