Why are you coming in here, Capy, during the break, trying to annoy me? You're a maniac. You're a maniac. On this day in 1983, the number one song, maniac from the Flash Dance movie soundtrack. Oh, yeah. Michael Sambilla. Today is also Gobstopper day. I'm going to put a Gobstopper in your throat. Oh, really? I was really annoying me. I was thinking another place for you. Gobstopper. Wasn't that at the end of Willy Wonka?
He had the everlasting Gobstopper. By the way, that happened Saturday. You had an everlasting Gobstopper? Might have had an accident again. Oh, no. Really? No. Saturday. You had another accident at 70s house. Good God, man. She know about this. Oh, yeah. Should I clean up the mess? No, I cleaned it up. Gross. I'm going to get in the trash. What about the pantalones? Pantalones were fine. Oh, really? Never got through, huh? Not get out. That's why I wear the cotton. How did she do this, man? She's so great. I love your girlfriend so much. She puts up with you doing that. I'm on meds, man. She's a great girl. Meanwhile, she is also keeper. Yeah. Yeah, so I'm keeping her and I would be the bunny. Meanwhile, Sunday was bad. Sunday morning. It was a Saturday morning when we woke up to the news that Miles Garrett, Sunday morning, Miles Garrett is undergoing knee surgery. He will miss at least four weeks.
And people like Kathy said, I told you so. People like Keishan who told us on Friday morning when he appeared. Did the Rams get duped? Yeah. So George Keishan stopped by in the nine o'clock digital hour on Friday. And we were talking about what had happened with the Rams. Obviously the day before against the 49ers in Australia. And we were talking about what it is to be an NFL player to go on the field knowing that you're hurt. I mean, it's different if you got, you know, aches and pains, bruises and, and you know, sometimes you're hurt and you're wearing a cast on your hand. You're like, but you know what? My hand is protected. I'm fine. But when you have a knee injury and you're 280 pounds and you're six foot six. And you go on the field against one of the top, if not the best left tackle in all of football. And you're not, you know, in horse racing, we call it riding like a married man, meaning like, I don't want to get hurt. So I'm not going to try and, you know, get to the rail and try and win this race. I'd rather just sit back here and I don't really care what happens because I don't want to take a chance to get in hurt.
That was Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett played last week like a married man, meaning a guy who went on the field. Yeah. It was like, my body's here, my uniform's here, my numbers here, but I can't contribute. And I, listen, if you watch the first game against San Francisco and you watch the first quarter, it's second and sixth. Why is he not on the field or it's third and two. Why is he on a knee on the sideline? It just made no sense that Miles Garrett was in the game unless he was hurt, which he was. And I thought it was rather obvious. And now we find out that, you know, Rams are going to be without him for the next four or five weeks. Yeah. Listen. I think can we play the Kishon sound? Yeah. We've got, you guys got the Kishon sound where Kishon talked about did the Browns dupe, I think was the word he used. You guys got that? All right. Hold on a second. Morales is getting himself, Morales is having himself a day here, George. Just so you know, I was in the other room, but hold on, step by one second.
Standing by. Because if we mention it, I mean, we should play it if we have it. We do have it. We have mentioned it and we will play it. All of those things will be true in a matter of moments. Oh. Okay. But it was an interesting point that Kishon made, which was like, hey, everybody thought the Rams outsmarted the Browns. Like why would the Browns give up, you know, Miles Garrett and look, Jared versus a nice young player. And he's had two good solid years. But I mean, he's not Miles Garrett. He's not even in the same class as Miles Garrett. And then Kishon came up with his thought on Friday, which was like, well, maybe, maybe the Browns kind of knew that Miles Garrett, he's, he's 30 years old now. And so he's 30. He's got a lot of wear and tear. Yeah, he's coming off this spectacular record setting, 23 sack season. But you're saying he was damaged goods saying that that maybe the Browns knew something that the Rams didn't now. On the other hand, that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense either does it because everybody does their whole, you know, doctor's got it. Right. Everybody's got to look at the medicals.
And we remember what happened last year with Max Crosby. Right. So, you know, the Ravens looked at Max Crosby and went, nah, damage good. Don't want to do this deal. The Rams must have done their diligence. Yeah, by the way, Ravens didn't need Max Crosby yesterday. Nope, they sure did not. They got, they got Lamar. That's what they got. And they got Zay flowers. And by the way, he was outstanding yesterday. All right. Kishon from the show on Friday morning. So did the Rams get duped by the Cleveland Browns in the trade for Miles Garrett? Did they get duped? Well, I guess we're going to know the answer to that question at the end of the season. But after game one, that was not the Miles Garrett that we all were expecting to see. I mean, we were expecting to see the guy that's the two time defensive player of the year, the guy that broke the record last year for 23 sacks on a really bad team. And we did not see anything close to what we were expecting. Let me ask you guys this question. If Miles Garrett is going to be out Monday night against the Giants and he's going to be
out for the next few weeks, which, you know, again, we were all. Which I think is probably the toughest part of the Rams schedule. Right. That's I'm telling you, I know this sounds like the sky is falling and I'm going absolutely nuts. But I'm just here to tell you that the Rams could without exaggeration. Maybe it's not likely, but it's certainly a possibility given the schedule. Could the Rams come out and be 0 for five? I mean, I don't think it's again likely, but I think it is. I mean, it's on the table, I guess. Even one in four is on the table. Let's see you beat the Giants this week. Okay, fine. You're feeling better. You're one of them. They're going to beat the Giants. Okay. Then then you're at the Broncos. Tough at the Eagles. Very tough morning game, by the way, in silly, right home against the bills. Tough. So your first five games. You had Miles Garrett in uniform. He didn't really play. I mean, he was on the field. Now you're not going to have Miles Garrett until probably, probably, this would be my guess. Miles Garrett returns on November 1st against the Chargers.
Just my guess. Wow, that far. Yeah. Yeah, because he didn't practice it all during the preseason. I mean, I was only out for two training camp practices. He wasn't even on the field. It wasn't even standing there. Didn't play it all during the preseason. Okay, fine. We don't expect them to. But if you're going to tell me that he's now hurt and he's got to deal with this knee injury, I'm thinking, because I'm thinking like a soft launch against a bad team like the Cardinals are Raiders. Oh, you got the Raiders shot in there. Yeah, I'm not going to call the Cardinals bad yet. I'll settle down. They beat a bad Chargers team. But the Chargers were at home, favored by I want to say like nine and a half points. Yeah, nine and a half. So, you know, the football world, including the Vegas handicappers, they thought the Chargers were significantly better. And look, you're Arizona. You've got a first time head coach and you've got a quarterback that's been everybody's bandaid.
So no one expected the Cardinals to come in and beat the Chargers the way they did. And this Justin Herbert thing. God, everybody just loves Justin Herbert. Oh, he's tall and he can run and he's got an arm and he's now marrying some pop star girl. And she's in the stands looking really great and cheering on her boy. I think he's just Justin Herbert. I don't understand what the obsession is with the guy other than the looks. I mean, he's good. We've got some great sound from Evan Cohen this morning on unsports. So I going off about Justin Herbert and Jordan love. I am done hyping up Jordan love and Justin Herbert. I will not give them the benefit of the doubt either one of them until either one of them is the front runner in the MVP per draft Kings. At that point, I will then come back to wow. He's really good. Until then, that's it. Jordan love is what he is. He's fine. Obviously somebody you'd want in your quarterback, same thing with Justin Herbert. I have no belief that they can win playoff games. I have no belief they can win the Super Bowl. I have no belief they can win an MVP. None of that. You proved me wrong. Until then, I'm just going to be normal in my assessment, which is they should be really
good, but they're not. Okay, but here's what I and Evan's coming on tomorrow, right? Yes. 805. Here's what I would say. Evan is also strangely lived a very charmed life as a Patriots fan, who's from New York. I still don't understand the concept behind that, but nonetheless, I mean, he's allowed to cheer for whoever he wants to cheer for. But he had Brady and I has Drake Day in a young quarterback, right? Who is probably going to be really damn good. So like he's his perspective is skewed. Is Joe burrow not a good quarterback? Joe burrow is a very good quarterback, but Joe burrow has a lot of injury problems and he's already played in a super bowl. Okay, but my point is, wouldn't you want Joe burrow? Yeah, but but the difference is that Joe burrow is part of the same draft class as a guy like Justin Herbert and Joe burrow has already played in a super bowl. Okay, but I'm just, but by his, by his admission, hasn't won a super bowl. He's had one successful season in the playoffs. That's right. And that was a long time ago now. 2022. Yeah. Well, the game was in 2022, right?
Yeah. So the 21 season, right? Yeah. So yeah, like what I'm saying is that it's like, you know, like we could do this dance, like only one team wins. So and again, it's not always on the quarterback. Is the quarterback the most important position? No question. If you don't have one of those, you're not going to have any level of sustained success. Okay. But to have a level of sustained success is also in a sport that prides itself on parity, right? Week to week. I think there's something to be said about that. So I do think Jordan love, well, I don't, I agree with his ultimate premise, which is, yeah, I got to see it to believe it. I do think that there is a sense of like we are overly critical of these guys. When there's a lot of great quarterbacks, we're living in an era of quarterbacks that we've never seen before. And I know people are going to roll their eyes when I say that. But what I'll tell you is this kids now coming up, right?
Have more tools to work with to become a quarterback than they ever have before. Okay. And we write off guys at that position way too early. Did we not learn anything about Sam Darnold this past year? Well, you're doing it with JJ McCarthy. Well, but he's not, but he is different. Okay. Sam Darnold didn't play on a team that like, like Sam Darnold had to make plays in college. Okay. Sam Darn, JJ McCarthy did not have to make plays in college for the most part. They were a run based team and he had to manage the game. Sam Darnold had to make plays for USC to win ball games when he was there. So to me, that's not the same thing. All right. I watch those two guys very closely in college and in the, like, and the other thing that I'm on him, unlike Sam Darnold, is that Kevin O'Connell believed in Sam Darnold. Did not believe does not believe in JJ McCarthy. Like that's a huge indictment when you're talking about a quarterback coach who
happens to be a head coach now that has intimate knowledge of that position and that tremendous success at that position. So they are not unequal for it. No, but again, I, the premise though is, is that you give up on guys too early. Okay. And there's, and yes, once in a while, that's the case. Like, I don't think JJ McCarthy is very good. And I, and I cited the reasons as to why. Yeah. I think that Justin Herbert is good. No, Justin Herbert is good. Now Jordan love to me is a little different. Jordan love played a small school had success on a lower level. He did get to sit for a little while. I think that helped him for sure. Kind of bridge that gap a little bit. But I have never been sold on Jordan love the way I was sold. I was still bullish on Sam Darnold, even throughout his career as a backup. I was lauding him because Kyle Shanahan was vouching for him. Then Kevin O'Connell was vouching for him. So like when you hear guys who understand the position, the way those guys do voucher him, that's different. I feel like the, the packers have a, a, a system for the way they draft quarterbacks
in the way they handle their quarterback position. It has generally worked for them. It doesn't mean it's always going to work. It doesn't mean that they haven't given Jordan love a ton of tools to work with. And they've given him every possible opportunity to be good at the position and grow into the position. I just think his ceiling is not what Brett Farves may have been or Aaron Rogers may have been. So I think that that again, this is a nuanced conversation that can't be just had so flippantly. But, but let me just say this. So when it comes to Justin Herbert, Justin Herbert has put up good stats. Can we take a quick pause real quick? Yeah, you want to take a pause? You should rack me for that. Okay. That is real football talk, nitty gritty college pro coach connecting all that stuff. That, that, that is real football talk right there. You're not racking me. You're throwing me to another life for you guys. Trying to rack himself. I'll rack you. And I know. I don't want to be right. You said I'm not sure.
I should rack you. I don't want your rack anymore. You don't want to lie. You got a bad rack. I'll come over to your house and suck on your tap. If you get a life source whole house water system. Listen, here's just a Herbert. Look, I just think that, you know, again, I'm, I'm, I'm setting the table for a deeper conversation with Evan. Here's the thing about just a Herbert. How about that is a horizontal tease. Very nice, very, very well done. Tomorrow, Evan Cohen here at 805. Yeah, good job. We'll pick this conversation up with him. Justin Herbert is a stat machine. Justin Herbert can put up running yards. You can put up passing yards. You can throw more touchdowns and interceptions, but that's not how the quarterback position is judged in the NFL. It's judged on postseason wins.
It's judged on super bowls. People look at Lamar Jackson. They go, Hey, what a great career he's had. Couple MVP awards. But has he won the big one? No, people look at Josh Allen. They go, Josh Allen. Wow. He may be the best quarterback in the entire NFL right now. But has he won a Super Bowl? No. There are guys in that class that people look at and they go, Justin Herbert is a great young player. Started when he when he is fruity season when he was forced into action. He set records. But putting up stats is what Matthew Stafford did in Detroit until he finally got to the Rams. So let me ask you this. Yeah. And I understand what you're saying. Okay. But do you know how many active Cubes have won a Super Bowl? Probably not that many. I mean, I'm guessing it's not that many. Patrick Mahol is got three, I think Aaron Rogers. Okay. Matthew Stafford. Okay. Jalen Hertz is Joe Flacco still in the league. Think he's a backup in Cincinnati. Okay. So that's the case. Yes, him. And then that's it.
Okay. Well, listen, that's, I mean, a cycle. So what I'm saying is I understand what you're saying. Yep. It's just not that easy is what I'm telling you. Like it's, it's, it's the quarterback position is better than it's ever been. As a whole. Okay. From one through 32. Okay. And that makes it tougher. Okay. That makes it more difficult to break through and win a Super Bowl. I understand. Well, I think what I'm getting at though, George, is that when there's so much hype around a guy and there is a lot of hype around Justin Herbert, but shouldn't there be? Well, he's good. He's good, but shouldn't he have to win some playoff games before he's elevated to this like level of top five? Who's elevating him? He's my question. You don't think people are having who are these people? Okay. I'm going to have to, now I'm going to have to start googling who are the names? Or these people like you, like the top five quarterback. Go back to the, go get it. You know what? Let me ask you a question. What is the NFL noobs Reddit saying about Justin Herbert?
Let us know about that. Well, you're burying NFL noobs. Yeah. Noobs. Do people not criticize Josh Allen? Do people not criticize? Yes. And people criticize Justin Herbert the last few years too. Justin Herbert is a media darling. He's a sweetheart. No, he's been getting, he's been getting drilled the last few years too. He should get drilled. Okay. He's put on the other way. And by the way, here's what I would say. Josh Allen is criticized unfairly. Okay. Josh Allen hasn't had a defense for years. Okay. They haven't had a good defense for several years. Lamar Jackson, I feel like you wouldn't want Lamar Jackson. Of course, I want Lamar Jackson. He hasn't had a lot of playoff success. Lamar Jackson is not one of Super Bowl. Lamar Jackson has had over the top amazing individual statistical seasons. Lamar Jackson is one of these guys that people look at and they go, is he ever going to break through? Is he ever going to win the big one? The same thing they say about Josh Allen. The thing is three and five in the playoffs. You wouldn't want him? I would still want him. But look at Justin Herbert's career in the playoffs. Okay. Oh, and three.
Right. I mean, don't forget that Jaguars. Yeah. You're up 27, nothing in the first half at Jacksonville and you lose. So when you're this again, I think of Justin Herbert as being a media darling. I think people live Justin Herbert. You always, because you're always, of course you do, but he's been getting killed the last couple of years. I get, let me ask you this. Who's killing him? I mean, the same people that were praising him have turned on him. Okay. Because you just literally heard it from Evan Cohen. He's literally said, I'm done praising these guys. Okay. But when you said, give me a top, who's telling you that he's a top five guy? I'm saying to you, who's killing him? Evan Cohen. I just keep an example of a guy who said I've been praising him and now I'm going to kill him. I didn't hear killing, but nonetheless, Justin Herbert and the chargers should be embarrassed today. Embarrassed. You have a whole thing. I mean, they were zoning your night and a half point favorite and you get slammed like that. You're terrible. Let me ask you a couple of readers. I don't, I don't disagree with that part of it. And he made a boneheaded play in that game on that interception.
That made no sense. But he did there was really dumb. Okay. But here's what I would add to you. Okay. Let me ask you this. God. How many teams in the NFL would rather have Justin Herbert than their quarterback? I mean, let's do it real quick. Jets Dolphins for sure. There's two. Okay. Steelers. There's no question you'd rather have him than Aaron Rogers. Okay. There's no question the Browns would rather have him. Would you take him over Trevor Lawrence? I would. I don't know. Trevor Lawrence won that playoff game against him. And Trevor Lawrence looked really good yesterday. He did look good yesterday. But Trevor Lawrence was a guy that we were just killing up until yesterday. We were? People were killing him. No one over a pig. He hasn't lived up to it. Blah blah blah. Who are the people? You have. Listen, all the go watch these NFL shows. I do. Wait, that's what I said to you though. That's what I just said. I just said the same thing. Was it Gemini? And it was noob. It was noob's. I just said the same thing.
Trevor Lawrence was the number one overall pick. Okay. Number one overall pick. How many coaches has he played for so far? Multiple. Right. That's not good. You draft a quarterback number one overall and you've already started to go through all these coaches. And good. That sounds like a derrick car situation to me. Pro football focus. Okay. Trevor Lawrence, one of the worst quarterbacks. Okay. Like this is like you believe them? Like that. That's not just nobody. But I'm saying like they do their entire like they call it revolves around going. They call them one of the worst quarterbacks in the league going into this season. This was let me find the date while we continue to research. I like NFL noobs by the way. Me too. Kathy talked about sellers advantage. Hey, by the way, have you guys seen the TV commercials now with Damon lines? Damon lines is walking through the office and they're throwing the football around the office. And Damon, by the way, he's in really good shape.
And it helps that he's in like his partner in the business, not quite as good as shape. So Damon looks like he's just a stud. Got his sleeves rolled up. Got his guns showing off. Damon is looking good on these TV commercials. He should be on 60 minutes with Shawn. If yeah. Well, that was kind of interesting that they broke that story out under the assumption that the Rams would be one of no and that everybody be buzzing about the Rams. I'm buzzing about Damon lines and I'm buzzing about sellers advantage. And here's why if you have a home that you want to sell for whatever reason, let's say your kids are already out of the house and you got too much house or let's say you're ready to move to another state and you're ready to cash out. Whatever your reason is for wanting to sell, maybe your parents left you a home and you don't want to pay the property taxes on it and you don't want to be a landlord, whatever the case may be, if you're ready to sell and you want to sell your home really fast and with no money out of pocket, you talk to sellers advantage. Because if you decide to hire a realtor that realtor is going to come to your home and go, look, let's paint the walls this color because I don't think buyers are going to like this.
Let's do something here out front with curb appeal. Let's make sure the landscaping is on. And before you know what you're like, I don't want to spend $40,000 to fix the house up to make it more sellable. And the realtor is going to go, don't worry about it. You'll put 40 in. I'll get 80 out. I don't want to put the money out. So sellers advantage will come to your home. They'll buy it as is. They'll make you a competitive cash offer, no obligation, by the way. And if you like their offer, you take the money. And if by chance you need cash to move, moving expenses, they can even front you 20 grand. If you're ready to sell your home quickly, efficiently, and listen, most importantly, really fast, you need to talk to sellers advantage. 888390S is 888390S is 8883902747 or visit sellers advantage. I'm going to give $30 in the morning on a Monday. I'm going to give $303 minutes to lock in load. All right. And he's coming for you. I know you. No, no, that's fine. I have found plenty of Trevor Lawrence critics with actual names attached to them, including
two prominent people on an NFL desk during game. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. But nonetheless, nonetheless, what I will tell you is, I still want to go through this exercise of Justin Herbert, because I think that we'll find that the overwhelming majority of teams would rather have him than their current quarter. Get ready, Kathy. He better brace for impact. That's next on the Sedano and Cap Mordic show. If you've shopped online, chances are you've bought from a business powered by Shopify. You see in trouble this weekend. On this day in 2008, Kings of Leon began a three-week run at the top of the UK pop chart with their breakthrough hit, Sex on Fire. Which is exactly what you think it would be about. Really? Yeah. Hmm. There's about catch and stuff, man. USC's in big trouble this week, pal. Big trouble. For Rutgers? Oh, yeah. Tell us. Rutgers got beat by a Boston college. Don't have your fight. The East Coast trip to Jersey. Tell them, George. Tell them. Ever we kick off? Yeah. I mean, Rutgers, they did not look very good. Now they did play in the Red Bandana game at Boston College, which is a very emotional game. And maybe Boston College played above their head because of that. There's a lot of emotion in the building there. Have you seen that story? Do you know that story? Are you familiar with that story? I watched the game or I watched a part of the game. I saw the Rutgers uniforms and I saw the R with the American flag and I saw the uniform that said never forget down the side. But it makes a lot of sense that a team from New Jersey, they try and pretend like they're from New York, New Jersey and Boston, obviously, these were the cities that were, you know,
impacted and were part of. So that's an answer is no. So, yeah, I was just going to say you didn't have to go that long. You could have just said, no, I don't know the story. No, the Red Bandana. I've not heard that phrase before. Go ahead, George. Well, look it up. You can Google the videos there. Long story short, they, there was a lacrosse player at Boston College named Wells Crowther who saved countless people in one of the towers on the day on the morning of 9-11. And ESPN actually did on game day. They have a, they had one piece many years ago that was narrated by Ed Burns, which is unbelievable. I could send it to you later if you want. And then they did a newer one for this past weekend for the 25th anniversary that ran on game day with Wells's family involved, including his sister. But yeah, this young man saved countless lives and then obviously perished in when the building collapsed. And the reason they knew it was him is because he always carried a Red Bandana in his pocket.
And it was something his dad gave him. So when the people were asked who saved you, they said the gentleman with the Red Bandana. Like multiple, we kept saying that. And so they all figured out that it was him. And they showed him pictures later of the people pictures of survivors of the events. And they all acknowledged yes, that was him. So 18 lives he saved, they said, yeah. So they, they play the game in his honor every year on the weekend of 9-11. And it's, it's a very emotional day there at Boston College. And they, they rarely lose in that scenario. And the jerseys for Boston College on the back and say for Wells, yes, for Wells is what it says. Yeah. So you can do more research on it. You should watch the videos that correspond to the, the story because you will not have, you know, a dry eye is what I will tell you when you watch either of those. But anyway, back to Rutgers. Yeah, Rutgers, not very good right now. I mean, just two weeks ago when they lost to UMass, one of the worst football programs in
all of D1 College football, when Rutgers lost that game, I'm like, guys, really? SC, we won't know anything about SC until they play Oregon. And Oregon is weekend. Yeah. And I told you I wasn't necessarily big on Oregon either. Like I, I didn't, I felt like they were a little overrated. I didn't think that they were this juggernaut everyone was making them out to be. Now Ohio State, different story, they lost to a really good Texas team. Archmaning is now a superstar in Texas. As if he wasn't already. Yeah. Saturday night's performance was incredible. I'm going to come back. And I'm going to Texas fan, but I don't like Ohio State. So that's great. And Ohio State, honestly, should have won the game. You miss a 45 yard field goal in a pressure situation like that puts the game at a reach. That was it. Should have won that game, Ohio State. 838. We can talk more about that in just a moment. But you know what? Sundays aren't, you know, aren't there enough penalties when you're watching football on Sundays? Here's the real penalty you could do on a Sunday. Gas station hot dogs, cold, flavorless wings, a burger that's been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour, Kappy.
That's no good. You got a call and audible and head into wild fork, your neighborhood meat and seafood market for amazing values like New York, TripStake, 898 a pound, ground beef, 85% lean, 650 a pound, chicken wings, sections to 80 a pound when you buy a five pound bag, wild fork, meat and seafood market. Make that change to wild fork meat and seafood market. I said, honor, you ready to get a copy about Justin Herbert now?
I don't know about get him. I mean, there is. Okay. So anyway, real quick. So let me, let me pull this up real quick. So just to finish the Trevor Lawrence thing, Richard Sherman, Ryan Fitzpatrick, both incredibly vocal about Trevor Lawrence as a quarterback at multiple times on their Amazon broadcast. So those are the two biggest names. There's plenty of other people that that come up in this search, but those two, to me, resonate, agree or disagree. Yeah, I mean, let's say I'm not debating that Trevor Lawrence is like some superstar. But that's my point is that he has, he's had plenty of critics up until yesterday, basically. So let's get back to Herbert, which is the more, the more important conversation here. All right. So let's do this exercise very quickly again. All right. Teams that would rather have Justin Herbert, then their current quarterbacks, Jets and Dolphins. Okay. I'm just going through the divisions. Um, Steelers Browns, that's for you say Jaguars. No, that's fine. I think the Jaguars need them, but go ahead.
Okay. Fine. Colts and Titans. That's six. Okay. Raiders. Hold on real quick. Colts and Titans. So the Titans drafted a quarterback number one, but they had to win a game tomorrow. Would they take Cam Ward or would they take Justin Herbert? Okay. I'll take Justin Herbert. Thank you. So that's just winning a game tomorrow. Okay. But this is the exercise thing. How would I still rather have Justin Herbert than Cam Ward? Okay. Even long term. All right. So seven with the Raiders. The Raiders. I mean, they have anyone to play off games is 2003. So like don't give me that he hasn't want to play off game. Um, but that the Raiders don't need them. They've got their quarterback in the future. If you were going to play a game for your life tomorrow, you're taking for an Andam and Dosa over Justin Herbert. Of course not. But still, you're talking about teams that would want him versus teams that you have. Are we talking about tomorrow they got to play if they got a win this season? Who are you taking? I'm not taking Justin Herbert over for an Andam and Dosa. I mean, I obviously I take them over for an Andam and Dosa.
I got a game tomorrow, but that's not. No, but this is the rules in the middle of this. Keep going. What rules would you like? Capy? Okay. Cam Ward. I'm keeping Cam Ward. No, that's my quarterback of the future ridiculous. Fernando Mendoza. That's my concern of the future. No. Yes. Okay, keep going. Let's make it for this season. Okay, keep going. Okay. Would you take him over for Andam and Dosa this season? Yes. Thank you. You take him over Cam Ward this season? No. What? No. I drafted Cam Ward a year ago. I played him a year ago. I hired a new coach. Cam Ward's my guy. You are out of your mind. Absolutely. You can. Oh, CJ Stroud. Absolutely not. Did you see CJ Stroud? Now to understand. I mean, you want to talk about issues in a playoff. Did you see the chargers take on the Texans? That was two plays. Oh, right. And Justin Herbert throw four underceptions in the game. And what did CJ Stroud also do just recently? That disaster yesterday. Right. So, well, no, I'm too disastered.
Playoff CJ Stroud was terrible. Yeah. Okay, keep going. So, and I didn't even put them in the equation. Like, that's fine. Like, you can keep CJ Stroud. Thank you. Okay, so seven. All right, the giant you're not taking Jackson Dart over him. 100% I am. Ha ha. Come on. 100% I'm taking Jackson Dart. Now you're just being disingenient. No, I'm telling you that I've got, I've got, no, I've got to look at the whole picture. You're a disingenuous scum. Jackson Dart is a guy who I think is going to be a real important player. Jackson Dart won five games last year. His rookie year. And now he's got a real head coach. And he starts off the season with a win over the division rivals. He's got to take in Jackson Dart. Oh, Justin Herbert doesn't have a real head coach. Justin Herbert does have a real head coach. But what is he accomplished since he's gotten him? What is Jackson Dart accomplished? He beat the Cowboys in week one. He's a second year guys in his 17 game of his career. Exactly my point game. One guy has at least gotten you to the playoffs. One guy has won six games in his career. One guy has gotten coaches fired. You realize how illogical that sounds?
Not at all. Listen, Cam Ward is my quarterback of the future in Tennessee. On Jackson Dart is my quarterback of the future in Minnesota. Whatever dude in Minnesota. See, I'm not a Kyler Murray fan. So yes, I will take, I will take Justin Herbert. Oh, you're not taking in with JJ McCarthy over. Well, I mean, he's three feet taller than Kyler Murray. I mean, listen, I'm not going to have fun. JJ McCarthy, your boyfriend over there in Minnesota. I'm not giving up on JJ McCarthy. But look, some guys get left behind. A guy like Trey Lance, who's the backup quarterback for the Chargers was a first round pick, got left behind for a guy who was the last pick of the draft. It happens. OK, would you take him over Jared Goff? No, I would definitely not. Jared Goff is not a great quarterback. He's just a Herbert a great quarterback. He's better than Jared Goff. Jared Goff has led his team to the playoffs, to playoff wins, to an NFC championship game. And I believe they playoff. Right. Yeah, OK, sure. Right, he did it with McVeigh. And the Lions, he's got one playoff win, does he? So I'd have to go check that out. But I'll take Jared Goff over. OK, fine.
You can have some Herbert. Thank you. Jordan Love. They're right now. They're equal. OK, fine. I'll give you equal. Thank you. Carolina. He's better than every quarterback in the NFC South. Stop. Don't even know. Now hold on a second. Oh, I'll front. I like to front. Sometimes I back, but this time I front. Tyler Schuck to me is in that cam ward Jackson Dart category. He's a second year player. I'm not giving up on that guy. Tyler Schuck, listen, I love the kid. I called his games in college. OK, not better than Justin Herbert. I love Bryce Young. I felt like everybody gave up on Bryce Young. Bryce Young's good. Pretty good. I'm not bad, but he's not better than Justin Herbert. OK, Baker is not better than Justin Herbert. Pretty close to hell at Lanna. I want to shout out there is not better than Justin. Atlanta, forget it. I'll take Justin Herbert using his left hand in Atlanta. And he's not better than and he's better than Jacobi Brissette. And he's probably better and he's better than Donald. If we're being honest and I love Sam. I'll take Sam Donald.
Is he better than Brock Purdy? I don't think so. I mean, I don't I don't think I can argue necessarily for Brock Purdy. I would not argue against Brock Purdy in that equation. So I'll give you an equal. Right? So look, so what have I given you? I've given you 14 quarterbacks. 15 I've given you more than 14, but 14 we agreed on. I probably would go like 17 quarterbacks easily. I would take him over, but you want to agree on 14 of them. But what we're talking about here is Justin Herbert as the chargers court. No, no, what I'm saying to you is this. Yeah, what is that? Quarterbacks are good in this league now across the board. He's one of the really good ones, OK? Because he hasn't had playoff success is not all on his shoulders. Am I arguing that he's not good? I mean, the way you're talking about him, yes. No, I'm telling you that Justin Herbert is a good quarterback. Justin Herbert is a lot of hype, though, because when you put up stats and you don't win,
what have you really accomplished? Now, by the way, you could come back to me and go, well, isn't that what they would say about Josh Allen? Isn't that what they would say about Lamar Jackson? Is that what they would say about Matthew Stafford before he came to the Rams? Yes, it's what they said about Philip Rivers when he was the chargers court. I'm glad you brought up Stafford. Do you remember our first interview with Matthew Stafford? Of course I do. Where you, you, he had answered the question already about like, hey, what's going to be different here? There's that in the other. You haven't had a lot of success. And then you doubled down on the right. I did. That's right. Because I had the guts to ask him the question. You had the guts and it was asked before I was not asked before. It was softballed to him by by somebody who didn't want to ask him the hard question. The fact of the matter is continuing just a moment. Well, that's it. I can't finish the thought. Well, we got to get out of here. We do. Let's talk about pizza. Then we'll come back and talk about it. And we'll get ready for the digital hour and 9 a.m. God, I wish we had some pizza hut this morning. Was raining at number one, Kathy, it might be my favorite MJ song. I think we get ready for the digital hour, top of the hour, 9 a.m. The rich eyes have showed to rest really. He'll be reacting to everything from week one. NFL Sunday plus the college football. We will continue on YouTube at ESPN, Los Angeles and the all new ESP.
No app. Shit, I know we know what would have made Sunday better for the chargers, having some Daisy dips. Oh, yeah, listen, love me some Daisy dips. OK, listen, as we get closer to the big game, one thing everybody starts thinking about is the food, whether you're hosting heading to a party or just watching at home, snacks matter, man. And one thing I always make sure is on the table, those Daisy dips, Daisy makes a French onion dip that just flat out delivers. It's rich. It's creamy. It tastes great. And the same with their Daisy range dip. These are dips people keep coming back for over and over and over. Again, and what I love about Daisy's, how simple it is made with real ingredients. You actually recognize stuff you can find in your kitchen. No preservatives, no artificial ingredients. Just real great tasting dip. I'm eating Daisy dips with everything, the chips, the wings, the veggies, honestly, whatever's in front of me on game day. So as you get ready for the big game, make sure Daisy French onion or Daisy ranch is part of your game plan. Thank you, Sedano. Kathy, how do you feel after Sedano came out your heart? He did come out me. He's right about a lot of it. Well, but here's the thing. I'm not arguing that Justin Herbert is a bad quarterback.
I'm arguing that Justin Herbert is a media darling and is somebody that everybody thinks is a top five, six, seven quarterback in the NFL, six, seven. And he may be statistically and he may be skill wise. Here's my argument. As great as he may be, he will have the same fate that other charger quarterbacks before him have had from Dan Fouts to Drew Brees to Philip Rivers and now Justin Herbert. Don't tell me about how great Mike McDaniel is. Don't tell me about what kind of an offensive genius he is. Don't tell me about Jim Harbond how successful he's been in his career. I'm just telling you the football gods won't allow it. And that's Justin Herbert. Now he may go someplace else at some point and become a winner like Matthew Stafford did. But for now, he can be happy just being paid, rich, dating somebody who, what's the girl's name? Madison Beer Beer. Yeah. Boy, she adorable yesterday at the game or what? Man, I don't know what she does. Like, does she sing? Does she do movies? What does she do? TikTok star. Really? Is that what she is?
She's a TikTok star. I do say do Groot and saying TikTok. A thing. What man is Madison Beer? I'd like to drink that on TikTok. I'll tell you that right now, man. I don't know if you need to say that. Well, I was just, you know, as in character. I just want you to go TikTok just in character there, you know. So, hey, listen, will you talk? Don't you love Claude? I love Claude. Claude says that Justin Herbert's critics are real vocal. So you know, Claude says so. Although Claude is probably going to kill us in 10 years according to reports. So there's that. Can they slow this down though? So it doesn't kill us in 10 years? Well, no, the cat's out of the bag. Really? Yeah. Well, that whole interview that was done last week by that one kid who left like, I think it was it open AI. Well, he's let he worked for both and Thropic Anopathy. Yeah, he says, oh, yeah. You know, there's a 10% chance that AI may kill us all. No, no, no, no. He said he thinks he could have been sooner. But then they responded by saying, well, I mean, yes, there's a 10% chance that they could have been sooner or later. So that's what's going to get us ultimately. I mean, we unpacked that in a hour. Tell us about the wellness company for a minute now. Okay, let me do it.
I have my medical emergency get with me. I always carry it with me. Look, if you've got kids that have gone off to college, you should get them a medical emergency kit. Well, I want to give it back to you, man. The rich eyes that show coming up to rest, we will continue on YouTube and on the app the digital hour. I do actually want to talk about the AI stuff.
