Hi back in here on the fan in this afternoon drive Jonathan Pito and Nick but don't you get power back at your house or no I'm so like whatever is going on it's also like messed up cams phones I have no idea that's the perfect no idea what's going I'm sending like green text messages is if I'm engaged to somebody and I'm engaged in Android which sounds devastating for yourself yeah yeah I'm I'm going through it right now that's okay my wife sent me a text I don't know maybe like 20 minutes or so ago she's at her work and her work's not too far from her house to be honest and she was like it's like five other co-workers and they were hiding out of the bathroom and so I I don't know I mean this is like this is though this is the the watch slash warning that we're living in guys so be careful it's over in seven minutes right that's what they say I don't I mean I I don't know I'm not I'm not a weatherman I don't know I I didn't even always raining outside I have zero idea I have so many things blocking me from seeing things outside right now you guys say when we have the the storm watch and then everything that broke

through I had no idea what was going on yeah like we played the beep beep beep and I looked outside and I was like wow it is pitch dark outside it is coming down hard it seems like it's all eased up a little bit so I feel like the weather people or whoever sends these alerts to your phones were probably spot on with the 630 we could all take a deep breath and come out from wherever your wife is hiding with her co-work I couldn't believe it she's just in the she's in the bathroom with like five other people five other co-workers and I'm like there's not a thing in the world that would get me to go to a bathroom with five co-workers and be like this is where we're gonna hang out this is we got we're safe now I always thought like I'll hide under a desk before I go in a bathroom with five co-workers even as a kid I always thought that like the whole tornado drill thing was a little ridiculous where you had to like go outside of the classroom and kind of line up in the hallway and like tuck down is like well tornado comes and takes this entire school we're just gonna be crouch down like a bunch of Mario Kart turtle shells not gonna know I just save your life I don't know maybe I get why like that you don't want to be by any class but yeah but

like if if a tornado is gonna come I mean a tour you know like please tell me more about this tornado plan yeah what's sitting in the hallway gonna do like as a little kid I always had a bone to pick with that like I'm sitting in the hallway like a tornado comes and hits us like me sitting in the hallway isn't gonna really stop anything I don't think you're stopping the tornado no like so sitting in the hallway like tucked up like a like a like a egg shell it's like what are we doing you don't think that was the maker break is what you're saying here you don't think that was the that was gonna be I don't know maybe getting under desks maybe would have actually done something again they were different when you had different like you tornadoes and hurricane hurricanes because one was you went out in the hallway and the other one was under the desk so it's like I don't get what any of that was for you with that many how many drills did you have though it was it was a drill like almost all the time I don't write and do nearly as many drills I remember one day like the fire department came to the school and I remember we did one of those type of drills I don't remember any to ever doing a hurricane drill tornado drill we did tornado drills I don't

remember I didn't do any of those maybe that's I mean I grew up in Chicago it's not that different the growing up here in Cleveland but a similar yeah I wouldn't imagine to be that different of a story and maybe I maybe I'm remembering it incorrect I feel like like fire drills we were doing fire drills like all the time I got one one time we had it was like a makeshift like mobile home set up that like came to the school and then we all legitimately like got in and then pretend as if a fire went off and then like had to like go through the drill so we had that like once like me once a year but we had the actual legitimate fire drills where you would evacuate the school everything like that everybody would go into the parking lot like we would have that happen like I mean maybe like two three times here yet and the bizarre piece of it was to like single file lines no talking it's like if there was a real fire if somebody came in here and Dwight shrewd it in the in the office where he tries to prepare them for the fire drill I'm scrambling out of here I got a single file line well what do you mean scrambling out of there you know like outrun the tornado is that we're gonna try to know if there was a fire like I'm not I'm not slowly

following the line leader whoever that was you know whatever slow part of the teacher appointed as line leader like not following eight in he's gonna get us all killed I'm running out of here probably not great that I agree with you on this because we're probably not spreading anything that's great for any kids listening but like you're right like in that moment I'm gonna trust the what was some kid I don't even care about trying to eat in it was he know white wise guy the blind cheat said math you think I'm gonna listen to him with the fire yeah the front of the line who adopted him to be the leader of his math test last week and we both got see my I'm not following him I might I might be an idiot but I know it's certainty he's an idiot yeah I'm supposed to follow him yeah no shot I kind of agree with it that's not he's an absolute more that stuff always got under my skin here's where the distrust really comes in and this is why this might be the genesis of this I hear that did you have the dare program coming high school so you know I had the dude I did Darren like why the dare all throughout but I'm talking about not taking with a mad program the mothers against drunk driving

when they showed up and there's a lot that they could teach and there's a lot that's beneficial okay like I'm not suggesting like like don't drink and drive right that's obviously miserable everybody knows that and accepts that but we're talking about like not trusting maybe the drills that we were doing they set me up with like these these they're supposed to be beer goggles is what they are right so you put them on your face and then you're supposed to shoot at a basketball who and the idea is then you come nowhere close and then everyone laughs like oh what an idiot but like it's supposed to be like you're drinking and so you get up there and you're like I was like 14 years old or so somewhere around there and I get up and I go and I take the shot and I know we're close like I mean I'm talking like 20 feet to the left and then like a year later I start to actually drink you know because I'm you know 15 and I you start to actually drink and you're like wait a second I'm I'm very worried bird from the outside what's going on like I'm not 20 feet off I couldn't be draining more threes I'm hitting more threes now I did what I was sober what are we doing supposed to be a performance and answer basically but I but it might not might not have been

the greatest thing in the world but it was definitely understanding that it was not 20 feet to the left either that you don't remember your misses that's the other part of the till and so I just thought to myself I'm like this is insane how much of my life has been a widely knocked this how many of these school activities were just by the extreme extreme exaggerations and I don't need to buy into any of it yeah we did dare in like second grade we didn't have any of that in high school well it was it was super early on it was like at that like who's really well I don't know I mean not the studies have actually shown the daring did not do much to help in any sort of way like they've done a lot of research on the idea that kids that went through dare actually ended up doing more drugs than kids that didn't go through I still have the shirt I still do I have the shirt became cool to wear the shirt yeah and it was after a certain well they also gave a bunch of like how old are you in second grade seven they gave a bunch of seven-year-old size XL shirts so it does still fit I do remember the time that working though at the time it didn't last for a while I guess although I know I'm not a drug guy so I did take that for whatever

that's worth but don't laugh at that Nick but I remember our one-dare teacher being like don't ever take acid and I'm like okay now I don't take acid because it can really it's the type of drug that if you take it it'll just mess up your brain it's turning to scramble eggs but like but like there's no your brain won't recover from it and I'm like well that doesn't sound fun your brain just not gonna recover from it all right I guess I guess I won't do that drug thanks dare and that was the lesson I've heard that they say that like if you crack your back like that I don't know we don't we don't have to get into it I'm not needing to know they say that like if you if you've ever like tried different hallucin drugs similar to that that if you that's how it will like revisit you years down the road is like if you crack your back I I don't know if that's like mythbusters or what cracking your back to chase a high that's like that's the word out what people I'd be truthful and the only thing that actually did help me not do drugs in life and the reason why I've never done

any drugs in life I you know alcohol is is what it is but like I've just I've never done drugs and the reason why I had somebody when I was like 18 or 19 years old that was a recovering addict tell me the reason why you don't want to do drugs is because drugs are awesome he was like that alone should be what scares you about it because it is great it is it is awesome in many ways and that's that is why people get addicted to it that is why people like it as much as they do and if you have an addictive personality at all you you won't be able to handle how awesome it actually is and so don't do it because of that and so that's the reason why I've never really done it because I know it's gonna be I know it'd be a fun time and I it's addictive obviously and I I definitely do the personality I can't go down that road that worked well for me but as I was describing it I understood maybe that's not the best advice for everybody out there do not do drugs kids maybe that I don't know why it worked for me really well but as I was delivering that advice to anybody that was listening I understood that one wasn't hitting very well and so I apologize for

that all right so Richard Jefferson it wasn't Scott Pollard but it was a former cabs is a big man Jenning Frye who let's put let's play a little Channing it says that Evan Mowley why not be as ready for the NBA postseason as Caz fans want him to be Evan has all the tools to be great Evan and his team have to believe in what vision the calves have for the calves and for him in three he has to make his free throws I don't know what he worked on this summer but I don't know if I've seen a guy regress free throw shooting wise and it may be up here it may have the yips they brought in James Hardin to make sure that he is involved in the offense that he is focused on to me it seems like Evan is afraid he'll have one great game I think the other two weeks ago he had 25 and 17 versus whoever scrumpting I don't know if Evan really is bought in to the vision for himself and himself on the calves I don't know if it's a matter of

buying in or not I do think there is something with Mowley that on some games he looks awesome and other games he looks like he's a space for that he just is he's somewhere else and so I don't know what that is but I don't know if that's not about him like not buying into the division that they have for him yeah and to say that he's like afraid I also don't know that I get that because you see nights like what literally Evan is coming off of where he's anything but afraid like put up 34 points last night 17 rebounds or something of the sorts like so I don't think he's afraid I don't know how comfortable he is in his role with his salary and that they've got two dominant ball handlers that need to get their shots up in Donovan Mitchell and James Hardin I think that makes it difficult for Evan Mowley to assert himself on the offens of side of the court every day about those like Mowley's usage rate is higher than James Hardin's in a calves uniform this year and so like it says it's odd because I think a big piece of that is Hardin is like Hardin's playing the role he's intentionally looked to be a distributor yes and I but I think that's part of this

equation is that I think a lot of people look towards what you're saying is like well Hardin needs the ball and Hardin needs this and he's limiting and holding back Mowley and I don't think that's true at all I think if anything is going out of his way to try to make Mowley forest and then the idea that we've seen better games in the past couple weeks is is proof positive of that I think you just know that like Donovan on most nights will give you anywhere between call it 20 and 30 points Hardin on any given night is about to be right around that 20 point mark that really makes it hard for Evan Mowley to give you the type of performances like he gave you last night on a consistent basis when you've got 40 points coming from your backward no I love for Evan to be in that 25 point per game range I think that's all it would take for him to be an MVP type caliber talent in this league if he's giving you what he gives you on the defensive side of the ball plus 25 offensively consistently and 10 rebounds like you're talking about MVP of the league in Evan Mowley and those were some of the expectations that he had coming into this season so I wonder how much

of that kind of clouds the national narrative surrounding Evan Mowley as well I don't think Evan Mowley's been bad this year at all like I think Mowley in fact has been no he's good especially with Hardin here he's got the problem with Mowley is it's the same mobile we saw since year two that's that's the problem I mean like numbers wise it's exactly the same on what it was in year two but no first wise maybe but I do think when you watch the games there's a certain confidence to Mowley especially on the offensive side of the floor where it feels like he's got a couple more moves in his bag that he could deploy it any given 10 he also has what he had about three games ago the eight point game I mean like I'm to me it's about consistency to me is maddenly inconsistent at this point and so at least I'll take the flashes of him having games like he did last night I'll take that but I I don't know about this vision part of it because the vision would be that you're the best player on the team that's what they want for you Evan Mowley I who would shy away from that who is who is saying that's a bad time that's that's the part where maybe Channing Frye loses me like you're saying Channing Frye's losing you

because I don't know what the best player on the cows right now I just don't know why Evan would be shying away from that responsibility or why he'd be shying away from that being if that's the calling card that the calves put on him because the money they paid him and how this is a whole thing is supposed to go I just don't know why you'd shy away from that I don't know why Evan Mowley would be the guy to be like a first guy an NBA history to be like no I don't want to be the guy to be the guy like it just doesn't it's not a thing for NBA players no and I don't think it's really a thing for Evan either I think he that also played the the fact that he's a little bit more softer spoken you don't really hear much from Evan Mowley maybe he plays into that that he doesn't necessarily come across as other superstars in the NBA comes across like I don't think if you asked Evan Mowley like do you want to be the number one option on a championship winning team I bet you probably say yeah I would hope so we have a real issue if you didn't yeah like and I feel like if you hooked him up to a lie detector like that's probably true he probably does want to be the best player on a championship team I think the calves have just put him in

a difficult spot because there are there is so much talent surrounding him that it's hard to get that consistency when you're talking about 34 and 17 on a night and night out basis he's capable of it but I do agree with you like it has been maddenly maddenly inconsistent Eric and cam's corner up next what's up Eric hey man how's it going doing well now just a little quick you know I've just gotten the cut man I'm hearing the conversation about what Jennifer I said and I'll think it to myself like the national media they don't sell papers no more in news articles so you got to tune into the podcast to hear if there's that you got to watch a YouTube channel see what they're saying and at this point I think it's just Cliff you know I'm gonna be honest with you guys like I don't remember Yannis or or Yoke it's peaking in year five they started to assimilate at year five and I will prefer if Kenny I can say you know what the game plan that we have on moment to begin the season was not correct we we should have ran a playing guard centric offense to get our bays to basketball

because that's the way basketball has always been played the playing guard get the bays involved and James Harden is showing us how good he is because how he's getting more be involved in the offense and guess where he gonna work on the other hand as a result of it so I'm I'm cool but mommy giving us 18 19 points tonight do I want to make more free throws like Nick just said absolutely but but but just to say that he's not ready for the moment and this that in the third it's starting to get played and mommy says something less like this post game with Serena and I close on this that you know what he's starting to figure it out and I believe the player more than I believe from these national pundits so you know I think he knows what's on the table and and the next couple games we can start to see him starting this for us I can't wait for the game tonight because only he does me back to back all right better tell me a little bit more about what I need to know thank you guys you got to thank you Eric I appreciate it could call on Eric there all right 2647 Ford at alone 92 we'll put a bow on this one in case we missed it next right here in the
