off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn. OK, here we go. Where the plays give broken down and science gets denied. Dude, it's said I got to come off the bench. Our two of off the bench live from the Raising Kane studio. All right, welcome back in. Now we're number two of OTB here live from Rouses. All right, so we saw a game last night. The Cleveland Browns. Now three in one. Yep. Here are the Browns. The Browns are three in one. They win last night against the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. That is the first game of the week. We're also going to have an early game on Sunday from London. Tottenham Hot Spurs stadium. The commanders and the Colts going to get the NFL weekend started. Now there's some big games in the National Football League,
but of course we'll preview the Monday night game a couple more times before it actually kicks off. So don't worry, we'll get to the Saints Falcons, one of the biggest games of the week and just 20 year anniversary of being back in the dome against that same team on Monday night, just like you were 20 years ago. So looking forward to talking about that game in full detail. Again, we'll have another chance at it on Monday as well. But there's a couple of games in the NFL this weekend that are going to be. I like you don't want to say like, oh, it's going to tell you the story, define the team, but I'll give you an example. Like the Jaguars against the Bengals. That's a that's a fun game. That's it. That's two two and one teams that both have, you know, a good win. At least one like under their belt, Cincinnati, a two and a half point favorite. Jacksonville's playing really good. The only game they lost was on the road against Denver and they kind of blew it. They gave up a lead that they really had all game long at the end.
Yeah, no, they Jackson, Jacksonville's playing really good. I almost put Trevor Lawrence in the top five of my quarterbacks right now and deservedly. He's playing really good. You can you can tell a confident quarterback when you see it. I think we all kind of know when you see a confident quarterback plan, you can tell the confidence, you can tell the mindset of a quarterback when he gets to the back of his dropback and hits that back foot. Knows what to do, knows how to do it, makes throws into tight windows that to the just the average person, the average quarterback. They're like, why did you throw that? Yeah, he's not open. Yeah, but like you are because you're reading different cues, you're reading different keys and you're confident. Yeah, Trevor Lawrence is playing like he's playing well enough to where there's been debate on all these national shows about right now. Who you taking Joe Barrow or Trevor Lawrence? Yeah, like that is a conversation that was never even a thought. Yeah, until like last year started playing really well. This year playing towards a, you know, it's so early.
So I'm like, I hate to even say it, but like he's that playing at a pace that could be, you know, if he keeps it up, he'll be in MVP conversations. Yeah. And, you know, again, Jaguars are playing really well. But I'm taking it. Yeah, I'd say, by the way, yeah, at Chris Canty's question, I'm taking Joe Barrow. I don't know if they did debate about seeing, I've seen the afternoon people talking about it. Yeah, to just Joe Barrow, but they're both playing really well. But for them to have that even conversation for a while, as Trevor Lawrence, I mean, he'll have some good moments and they'll do those to that. But he's in all around quarterback right now. He's one of these guys like, you're going to watch really good quarterback play that day. Two quarterbacks that in the NFL are guys that pretty much have their middle finger up to the defense when they walk up to the line of scrimmage. So it's, it'll be that'll be a fun watch. And I'm also looking forward to Sunday Chiefs Raiders. Yeah. I can't wait to watch that game.
3-0 versus 3-0. Kansas City in that game on the road, a four and a half point favorite. If we played what's the ticket in the NFL, that would be the winner of what's the ticket for the highest ticket, $317 to get two feet into the stadium there at Eligent Stadium in Vegas. It's two great fan bases. That's a two undefeated teams. People are fired up about that. That's a big one. That's a big one. A lot of them are not as small as they around. No, it's not. One of the bigger ones in the entire league. It might be the biggest. Right. Hmm. Raiders have a chance? Oh, yeah, for sure. They're good football team. They are good. Their defense is good. I mean, it's like it's really as crazy that we're sitting here. And like this is not a normal year. Like we're the Raiders are a good football team. Yeah. The Browns are a good football team. Yeah. The Jaguars. And I know they've been better than those two teams in the past, but it's still Jaguars. They were good football team. I know the Jets are one and two.
Look at the Jets defensive analytics. Look at Geno Smith. They're not far away from being two and one. Being three, you know, like the teams that have been, that's what I love about the NFL. The thing I love the most, like a team can suck and then have a good draft two years in a row and get back off the mat. Is. I know we're jumping around a lot. That's what we do here. I know we're going to be in the upper squirrels and are the Browns kind of like. Remember in beer fest where they they drink beer so much or not that drunk that they drink so much beer. Yeah. All the time that they didn't get drunk from it. Right. Until they had like one shot of liquor and it like ignited all the alcohol and they got, you know, very is have the Browns been so bad for so long and stockpile and talent for so long that they're just waiting for one thing to blow the whole thing up in a positive way for that. Like they've been stockpiled in drafting well the last great draft last three years.
I mean, and they have two first rounders for the next like three years. Are they this team that with the right coach and I hate to say right quarterback right now with the Sean, but like he's playing at that level. Yeah. Are they this team that is like just ready to explode? They finally hit the liquor. They finally hit that shot of liquor. They've been drinking beer about 35 beers in, but one shot is going to ignite it all. Yeah. I don't know. They kind of feels like it the way they played yesterday. The defense was flying around. I saw the defense was good last year. They just didn't have anything offensively. I saw these plays like the big tie to end for Pittsburgh. What's his name? Darnell Washington. Yeah. I like the guys of like a mountain like 300 pounds. Yeah. I saw literally like the mountain from Game of Thrones. Hey, this is the Browns talking like the Browns. We know them. We know them to give up. I tell you what the one play he caught in the flat and like the whole team tackle. It looked like there was 15 Cleveland Browns tackling him. People flying from the other sideline at full speed.
Straining is what I love to talk about. That linebacker like he does that every play. The Browns are straining. Yeah. And you mix that with the butt load of talent that they have because they've been so bad and they've been able to pick so much. Didn't you throw a coach in a quarterback like I mean, I hate to say it, but. The dangerous. And that five sacks, seven TFLs broke up eight passes. Hit the quarterback 10 times and coverage to like coverage sacks. Yeah. And like getting there and quick, but also just covering him up. Yeah, one of the guys that doesn't get talked to enough about that's a former tiger in the NFL's Grand Delphet. Yeah. And look, great. I paid so he's respected in the lead. But you know, I'm saying like he's not part of the conversation. Nobody is there. Right. Yeah, I think he was all over the place last night. That's good defense. Manu McNeil Warren who broke up a couple of passes a full air in a couple of times
to like he baited him into the throw is it rookie from Toledo? And like to be able to do that nationally recognized. Obviously. Go Rockets. I think so. Toledo Rockets, smooth. Toledo the Rockets. Are they the Rockets? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. See nailed it. We're talking about the Browns. And the Raiders. We're talking about the rounds on the Raiders. Yeah. How about that? Don't. Okay. I just saw let the Raiders beat the cheese. By the way. I mean, we're not going to let them. They're going to do it themselves. They do it. The chiefs are hard out right now. I will say that. I still don't know if my home is that full speed. I find it hard to believe that my home is still at full speed and playing the way he's playing him and he's playing like vintage Patrick my home.
And I still don't know if he is 100% full speed. Yeah. It's. It's so impressive what they do. How long they've done it. Andy has that team fully bought into what he's selling. It doesn't matter how old they are when I went to camp. It's like my home is doing the same drills that Nuss Meyer and whoever, you know, Justin Field. Like he's doing everything they're doing. You know, if they were asked to do something to the side, he's doing it to the side. He's hopping over the bags. Yeah. Going into it. Same thing with like Travis Kelsey. Like Travis Kelsey just got married to Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden weeks before that he's walking through the junior college or whatever division eight college we were at and just sitting there and like chopping it up with the boys in the cafeteria. Yeah. It's like in a twin bed. Yeah. Yes. It's like Andy has that team so bought into what he's selling and they all doesn't matter. Like Chris Jones, Kenneth Walker. It was very impressive. It's just like this is a football team.
Yeah. It just is balled in. And they don't really care that they only won six games last year. They know that they're going to bounce back and all they have. Well, don't forget your roots people. They didn't. They sure didn't. Now they might have a bigger than twin bed. I don't know. The extra long. The extra long for sure. Some of the guys so we'd say an old school dorm. Yeah. And it was while it's sleeping that twin bed with that plastic mattress. Yeah. And St. Norbert's college 73. Some of the old salty vet line minute lease. Like Chad Clifton and some of the bigger guys they would they'd bring a king bed in. They're like, I ain't sleeping in that. Yeah. Well, they probably didn't fit in the twin. Yeah. For one. Right. Well, they just put on the floor. I don't know. They probably if I had to assume they were on nice contracts. They probably paid some of the equipment guys to move the twins out and set up a bed. Yeah. If I had to guess. Yeah. Probably didn't do it themselves. I can't keep their bodies right for the grind of the season.
Oh, you just done that thing on the floor. I mean, you want to get barely there. They're just sleep six and a half hours where you just repeat it. Anyways, one more game I want to talk about real quick. Broncos 49ers. In San Francisco. Well, Santa Clara, which didn't actually that close to San Francisco. Uh, to the name state, the Broncos playing well, come back wins against Jacksonville and the Rams. The 49ers, three and a half people like, oh, yeah, but who they played. I don't think it mattered today played Brock Perties on another planet right now. They played the Rams. I know, but people like, well, it's all show you social. It's like, okay. It was all show for San Francisco to. We had Kyle use check on the show yesterday. And he was just talking about, you know, he's like, yeah, we're healthy. We're pretty good. Yeah. Yeah, when the substation doesn't get us, we're pretty good. Yeah. Yeah. Kyle had juice. We have to get up just.
I will. We have full back. Well, typically we have full back Fridays. But since he couldn't do Friday, we made it a full back Thursday. So I mean, look, we've had all stock. We've had low nil. We've had Tom Rathman, Moose Johnston. We've had them all. Yeah. But he was just talking about, he's like, do Brock Pertie is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He goes, I don't know why every year. He's like, he hit reset with him. And he's got to prove it all over again. Yeah. Nobody else really has to do that. He doesn't mind doing it. And he'll do it. He's like, but why? Why does Brock Pertie have to reset our mind every single time? Because he's a standard. Why is he Mr. irrelevant? No. Oh, yeah, maybe. Maybe that helps. There's some of that. But he's just a standard looking white guy. There's nothing like. There's nothing that sticks out about him, right? Okay. Well, I had him number one of my quarterback lists. I'm not hating on him. He's not. I know. I'm not hating. He's just not tall. I'm not super fast. He's there's a very normal looking white guy. Yeah, white Brit.
Yeah. I mean, Aaron's kind of normal, like, I'm like, I mean, Aaron's not like overly tall or big or I guess. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. Just something about his face. He just looks standard. So anything he can do about it. Matthew Stafford. Matthew Stafford, very ordinary looking bro. Okay. I got it. But like, like, maybe we're not on the same page on this. There's no like quality that he has that is better than everybody else except when he puts it all together, he is better than everybody else. Okay. At least Aaron Stafford, they got they got this giant arm and amazing hand, like a hand talent. I'm not going to say arm talent, Taylor. I know you hate it. But they throw the ball different. Brock didn't throw the ball different like it. When you watch him throw, it's not like man, that's different. Yeah. That's amazing. Whatever. But he puts it all together. Right now he's the best quarterback in the NFL. That would be the he's the best quarterback in the world.
That's what that means. Boom. How about that? You said it man. You said it man. No, no one person walking on this planet better than him. It's fair. I mean, it's true. So I'm not knocking him. Just said he's. It's also true, but. Ju said yesterday too though. He does have to like reset our memory every year. Yeah, he does. Very true. He's on pace and I'm talking. I'm raising my hand on that. We did our top top quarterbacks in the NFL during the All Seas known NFL radio. We went one from the 32 and I think I had like 11. Really? Yeah. Because like he's got reset every year. I don't know why. I don't know why that's the case. He's done it for multiple years when he's healthy. He's in that conversation and he is playing better than anybody in the NFL right now. I think this is the probably going to stick. I think so too. With the way that they're trending. It's a big game though. Is he like Gunner Stockton a little bit? He is. I think it's a good yes. It's a very good. He was talking about him. Yeah, wait a minute. Oh yeah, I forgot. He's actually really good.
Yep. I think that's actually a pretty good comp. All right. We're going to step away and when we come back, let's get to the game that we're all going to be watching in the national football league. The Saints and Falcons in the Superdome on Monday night in prime time. And we'll do it right here on OPEC TV off the bench. All right. The New Orleans Saints hosting the Atlanta Falcons. It is a big day. It is the 20 year anniversary of when the Saints got back into the Superdome after Hurricane
Katrina. That was an incredible game. This is going to be an incredible game. It's against the same team in the same night. A Monday night football match up with the team that certainly kind of changed our outlook on them after last week. The Atlanta Falcons. They go to Lambo. They take care of the Green Bay Packers. It wasn't even close. B. John Robinson did B. John Robinson things. 66 carries. 349 yards on the year. He is the straw that stirs the drink there in Atlanta to say the least. Drake London went off in that game as well. Now some very unfortunate news for you. Travis H. M. I. R. Don't know how long that's going to be. We know he's got a hamstring. It's bad enough to put him on I. R. Hopefully it's the shortest of short terms that you can be on there. Hopefully it's a four week deal. We don't know. That was a 50 plus million dollar signing that you made in the all season.
And you haven't really been able to commit to the run. You're playing from behind in Detroit. You're playing from behind in Baltimore. And then last week it felt like you got started a little bit. He goes down in that game. He is going on the I. R. You right now. You don't have a lot of juice in that running back room. It is a room. And you can't go sign Devin Hill because he's not with the Minnesota Vikings. So you released him. You can't just go back and bring him back into the fold. So right now we're talking AK Kendra Miller who's obviously had some issues holding onto the football. CJ Donaldson who's been more of a fullback. Honestly, then he has been a running back for the Saints on the practice squad. When you go to take a look at who they have there is the mere white who they traded for. Right. Remember, Debo got traded for him at the very, very end of training camp. So some mere white is on the practice squad. You probably elevate him. But at this point, and if you wanted to go like take a look, well, who could the Saints add?
There's just not a lot. Like we can go to the free agent list right now and we can look at who would be available what veteran player to bring in. Like you're not bringing in Joe Mixon. Nick Chubb retired. You're not bringing in Kareem Haunt. Although it might not be that bad of an idea. Miles Sanders like, no, these guys right now doesn't feel like they're, you know, at one point though, like in the building. As a front office, Mickey Loomis and his staff have to be looking at this and being like, all right, if we get this win, we're two and two, we're sitting on top of the NSC South. Like at what point do you say we need to push some chips in a little bit. And you know, we saw last year they made a trade for Bay Light mid season. We were all like, what are you doing? What are you doing? Like what point do you maybe look at making a trade for potentially bringing in? A running back. Yeah. I mean, I would think that it would be on the table certainly. Just this is from a thousand, thousand mile view from my perspective looking in.
But like, if you have a need and you believe that you got a really good shot at making a playoff, you know, who knows what a playoff run like you give yourself a chance and see what happens in the playoffs, but you got to get there. And I got a hard time believing you're going to be. You're going to win some games on the right arm, a Tyler Schuck and you're going to win a decent amount of them. I think he's proven that, but you have to have a running attack. And if Kendrick Miller continues to have the issues that he's having, I don't know if you're going to, I don't even know if you have a choice, but to try to go out there. And if H.A.K. can't get like, we've seen hamstrings. We know what hamstrings can be. They can be lingering, especially at a position where you have to run a lot. And that's in the name of his position. It's called running back for a reason. Got to run. Yeah. And so I don't know. I mean, they've been mid season trades. You could, I'd go sign cream hunt. I go sign cream hunt right now right now. I'm taking a look like who's available and who could actually come in and be impactful.
It is older back. And you know, well, you got, you already got an older back in A.K. I know, but also I want some experience back there. Like no offense. I like maybe. No, I do. I do. I'm almost I'm going to protect Tyler's shark. Cream hunt's really good in past protection. Like I don't want a young player. It's like, well, I didn't see that safety coming on the backside. And then Tyler Shucks eating out of a straw. Like I don't want to see that. Oh, yeah, don't don't go pick up an idiot. For sure. I mean, let's run the backs. I mean, what's the age on this guy? Oh, cream hunt. He's in his 30s for sure. 31. OK, I don't like it. Played the 15 games for the Chiefs last year. OK, so they lost. They won six games. All right. All right, smart guy. You're going to go get I'm going to trade for somebody. OK, who I'm going to trade with some of us juice. I don't know who it is. I don't know if the roster's in front of me. I gave you a name. Give me a name. I say cream hunt. Well, let's see. Who's the backup running back for?
Let's see the chiefs. I'm in Johnson. They just drafted him from Nebraska. And they're getting around. Nope, not really a good place. Lions. They don't they literally don't have one. Really? Like, that's what Jameer Gibbs has all the carries because they signed as they at the check out. Yep. And he's been on the IR. And so it's like they don't, they don't see hot. Siocs, you have a long list of running backs. They get one. They drafted price. They signed was a Wilson. They signed in the off season. They got three that they like. But now if Zach Sharman comes back, then they'd probably be willing to give up one of their running backs, which would probably be a manual Wilson. We'll go get them. But they're not going to probably get to the Zach Sharman and he comes back. And they're the two run backs of questionable. So maybe that's what my question is. It's like if you continue, like you win this game one day, and then you're at the top.
And then at what point during the season, do you say, all right, this is this playoff thing. We have to close this season. Yeah, we got to finish this season. Kendra is not doing what we need them to do. Any chance not getting as healthy as we like. So we have to. I have. And again, this is us playing GM. We're really good out of the time. Basically, there's a running back in LA for the chargers. Come on, if it all, it went to Troy. Really good football player. And they drafted O'Marion Hampton. And last year, they used him a lot. He's only got one carry this year. But you go back and you look at what he was last year because when O'Marion Hampton was out, like he kind of was the guy. And he had 155 carries last year, 643 yards. He's not. He's only got one carry this year. He's got one carry this year. I know. And he's the three now for the chargers. The chargers are bad. You could give them a seventh round pick.
And they give you the ball. He was good. He was good player. Yeah. Called 16 balls last year as well. Good and pass protection. I think I picked him up one time. He had a big game. I picked him up and fantasy one. That's the kind of guy you're talking about. They drafted him in the sixth round. It wouldn't take a lot to get him either. Teams are O and three. They're going to be O and four. They're playing the C-Ox this week. And they're like, yeah, sure. Here's a third running back. But he was there one for a majority of the season last year. I think that's so that's the guy that you're talking about. That's the guy I'm talking about. We got him. We found him. Let's go. Let's go Mickey. Make the call. Make the call for the show. Vidal. Vidal. Vidal. Vidal. V-I-D-A-L. Vidal. That's a toughy. Come on, even though. Troy Legend. Don't say it so fast like that like you know him. Kind of. Talking before. I do think like to kind of bring it back.
And we were trying to play GM here because it is something. It's a factor. You can't, you know, I mean, tell us that 132 passes already. And three games. That's a lot. You can't live like that. Can you do it? Yeah, but you don't want to live in that world. You're not going to consistently. You're not going to consistently be the team you want to be and finish the games you want to play. You have to have a running game. I mean, look at the best quarterbacks in the league. They got an amazing running game. Josh Allen has the leading Russia in the NFL from a year ago. And James Cook just ran for like one feedie last week. I mean, how many, like, first game we saw Patrick Mahose back kind of walk around for like 200 yards. Like, yeah, the best. Rock party. Christian McAfry. Absolutely. Last year with Stafford, the MVP, they ran 13 personnel the majority of the time. You need to write like you can't rely on yeah, Chuck's going to win you games because he's he's that dude. Yeah, he's going to win you game. I agree. But you don't really have to you're fault. Like we just said it when in the college world when you're traveling,
like running game travels. Yeah. And it helps the quarterback. Yes, you want your quarterback to be able to put a cape on and be Superman and win those games for you. Yeah, it's great. And that's an awesome trait to have, especially when you get into November, into December. And when those playoffs are you you want your quarterback to be that guy. But in the regular season, you got to have a running game. We can we count if you want to have any hope at consistency. All right, we will step away still to come. We have what's the ticket. We've got our pontoon parlay. We've got another look at LSU and Mignice. And something we certainly can't talk about when we come back. We know what this game is. We know what the spread is. It's 50 plus, right? But there's things that we're looking for from LSU in this game. Guys playing in maybe a new position. Maybe they get elevated on the depth chart. What does that look like for LSU? Who are we watching? All of those things coming your way.

I'm trying to see right now. Our guys putting in some work back there. See she got. Yeah. He didn't laugh at my joke. He was working with that. There's crap earlier. What's he working on now? Probably the cut is.
You send me a reminder, although I don't know why, that we're going to be at Rouse's every Friday. So I think it's the thing that scares you the most in life is to be here and do this show alone, although most would have jumped in. You'd have been fine. But every Friday you send me a reminder that we're at Rouse's. And today, you know, you mentioned that our guys can be back. I don't even do this. They're not a reminder. I just make little comments about my life, how excited I am about different things. Yeah, and I was like, oh, I didn't know that we were doing sushi in the studio today. Yeah. But you didn't laugh. No, I didn't laugh. So I didn't find it funny. Yeah, it was funny. It's funny, adjacent. I don't find joking about my crippling fear of doing the show by myself. Don't find that funny. You would not have done it by yourself. Moose would have set it up. He would have sat in and y'all'd have been fine. He would have done it by himself. Moose would have been pretty mad. Moose would have been paid to do the show. He's getting paid to set it up. Moose would have done it by himself. I would have walked out of here. Why? My guy. It's crushing it. But a palajek? I recognize that sound anywhere.
It was. I think he's, I think he's testing us right now. Is he testing us? I think so. I appreciate it, actually. Oh, yeah, for sure. Yeah. I respect the game. I do, too. So I do it. Come on down. I can see. Why? He's about to slide this table. No reason. He's just a seed. Just to see how loud it's going to be. And then back. Watch. Yeah, about to cover your ears up. Told you. He's certainly they can hear that, right? But they're ways. Yeah, hopefully. Yeah. It's a power move. My guy's coming over here. He's looked just dead in the eye when he's moved the chairs, the table. And let me tell you. There was zero reason that that accomplished nothing. There was zero reason for him to move any of it. It's an empty table by where they put the flower arrangements in the corner. He's got loads of mignis. No doubt. No doubt. I had to go to mignis. I respect. I respect that. I'm not mad at him either.
I love mignis. I wish them the best. I really do. This Saturday? Oh, absolutely. I mean, they don't have to hydrate it. I'm sure. A little bit. I'm not. I do wish them the best. I mean, they don't. This isn't. These teams don't need to be playing each other. No. For sure. It is. I I hope they play really well, I he hope they got some guys that are going to they can play in Tiger stadium. And that's like a highlight of their their football career. That would be awesome. Like Nicholes came in a couple years ago and the run back who used to use to use ago To run him back in used to be the quarterback for John Curtis. He went out and glory and Tiger stadium. Uh-huh. That guy was awesome. That guy was told the rock that day. He'll never forget that. the game. Was it you? Did you say today like you'd rather just
donate money to these schools and not play these games. Yeah. Just giving the money. What more paying. Yeah, probably paying one player. More than they're going to get. Yeah. You only get risk. I don't like I mean, I don't like these games either. Yeah. Um if you're going to get to the West from state. All Nichols like I got I would rather them get it. But to your point. It is a different level. What do you accomplish from this? I understand that argue too. Like because we also have enough teams in this state. That play on the same level that you could play every year if you wanted to. That's why I mean else you two lane was. You know. For a like a majority of our listeners. I mean, I don't know. I mean, I don't really know. Remember that when that was a rivalry. You know something that you played for. We have Louisiana tech, which we played this year.
You have Louisiana. Allow. Yeah. You have Louisiana Monroe. And again, like they planted lower conference. Whatever. Some of us. I love the Sunbelt fun belt. It's actually pretty good football conference, but like you have those teams that play on the four teams that play on the same level as you. Yeah. I'd rather rotate that. Yeah. Yeah. I think you get more out of that and you know, I think that's the good thing about the FCS schools. I mean, I love the Southland Conference. Like it's a good football conference, but to your point, Yeah, it's just about it's a differently, but what is really cool though is these kids from Denise do get to come in and play in Tiger Stadium. And it's going to be an awesome experience. They're going to be awesome experience for their family. Yeah, like there's a Baton Rouge kid. He was a done him Trevor Heyman, his family. Like that's awesome for them to have that experience. So I do hope that McNeese comes in and has like and makes a play here there or you know, has some success because it's going to be a really cool experience for them. But if I got if I take that whole thing, if I take that just like, I think it's going to be an awesome experience and I wish McNeese the best for real like
with all seriousness from just a LSU football perspective. Yeah, I mean, we've talked about it all week. Like this is one of the games that you're like, okay, we got to get through it. We got to get through this game. We got to get through this game because then the SEC, the road and the SEC starts after that. So I'll be cheering for just like, you know, well executed football. I'll be cheering if like McNeese in the second half for whatever makes a play and it's a bat and Rouge kid or whatever it is. I think that'd be a cool moment for them. But I want to see clean football played by LSU. I want the operation to be clean with a backup quarterback in there. I want to see a lot of different people play. I want to see and this happens every week for me, even with starters, but I want to see a field full of people I've never heard of. Yeah, playing in the third and fourth quarter. And I think we'll probably get to that point if things go like they should. But this is certainly one of those games you we got to get through. Yeah, to get through it and you got to make it out the other side with all and it's even a little bit
it's it makes it even more scary because of what the injuries you've had. Like it's like we've only had one or two guys like dealing with some hammies, soft tissue stuff. Like it's I have a different feeling going into this game, but because of the injuries, because of the death issues that we all know that LSU has, Lane Kiffin has talked about it. Like this is your one of program building. Yeah, like the first squad is going to be good. Second squad. Yeah. But then like third squad, there is not one. Yeah. So like, how do you manage the roster? How do you manage the rotation this week is going to be interesting to see? And I just want them to be smart and you want them to get through and the injury history in this season leading up to this point is why I'm so like, yeah, this is get through this one. Yeah, I'm with you on that one. And it's a slippery slope because I'm like you also like getting it out. But also, there's going to be players that now you have to count on that don't have a ton of experience. And I know we've kind of gone back and forth on that this entire week. Like your question is like, how
much can you really get? Like is that experience good experience? And I hear you. But I just wonder like linebackers kind of the position I'm looking at the hardest because like you lost your one and four. So now you have two, three, five, six available as far as what your depth chart was. All right, well, if two and three don't play a ton. You can't you don't have another bot like, but you're going to need five and six at some point in this season. If like the injuries and like we think with Mike can come back, but we don't know that like we don't know if he's actually going to come back. We know that Ross is not coming back. He's a torn ACL. So you're going to need those players at some point this year. They're going to play in a big moment. There's somebody's going to tap their helmets like coach. I need one. Those guys are going in, but you don't have anybody else to play in a game like this and they, you know, they're going to get out there and they're going to get some experience. But that's where your numbers are at some positions. Do you? Are you in the camp that is? No matter what it
is, is any experience good experience? I am. At certain positions. Quarterback would not be one of them. That's what preseason for me is kind of dumb, like especially first preseason games. Yeah, we can go run our base offense versus your base defense, but that's not realistic. Yeah, you know. I do think that running back in line backer. I do think that any experience is good experience. I don't think only offensive line it is. For I'm just randomly thinking about different positions. You just said running back in line backer is good inexperience. Good experience because for running back, I'm going to get some dirty reads in a game like this. And I think that's important because you're going to get some dirty reads and big games too. And you kind of kind of adjust those. I like see that. And I think that can gain experience. I think a linebacker too. Like you're going to get some dirty reads. And like how can you adjust to that? And you know, I think those two positions,
because like if you're a receiver, they're, you know, they're playing cover three. They're not playing cover three. Like are you getting main demand coverage? If they're playing cover one, like you're going to win that quarterback. God knows what you're going to see. Right? So I do agree with you. Some positions. Yeah, but I do think running back in line backer can benefit. I was just thinking like the offensive line was the first thing that came to mind. I was trying to think of another position where any experience could be good experience. And my first thought went to offensive line but I was like, wait a minute. I don't think it is. I don't think I don't think any experiences go. I think you need to go against good fast competition. Because it might, I mean, if it's slower competition, not as strong, not as big, does it slow you down a little bit? Right. Do you get more out of like a practice scrimmage? I don't know. And that's, we're just debating air right now, but just thinking out loud a little bit. But you know what, I did find refreshing, I did find refreshing. Lane Kiven did address this in the coach's show last night.
He addressed, like he, like he had all of those, like his first answers, like this is a hard week. Our players, it's hard week to keep them motivated for these, these types of games, because they see everything. They know what the point spread is. Like they know what the line should be. Right. He said, this is a hard week to keep them motivated. But in program building, you have to be consistent. We have to, we have to get a prepare every single week, the same no matter who the opponent is. And it was refreshing to hear a coach address that. Yeah. Because it's a real thing. We're all in access to it. We all know what the score should be. That is, I mean, the score is going to be that way. Just like you said, with Nichols two years ago, I mean, like you just don't really, I mean, it can play out anyway. What's my man's name? Guggenheim? Think so. Right, rush, they run it back. He was, he was. That's awesome. I'm having a trade for him. That was fun. All right. That was fun, right? That was fun. All right, when we come back, we're going to give a list of players. Right, we're going to give a list of players.
And we did this earlier in the week, but I think my, my, I've added players to my list. We'll go around. We'll go back to the capital city. We're all here. But downtown in the capital city, we just want to say capital city. We like saying it. Laundry and Tate, going to get involved in this one as well. We've got what's to take it? We've got the pontoon, parlay, all coming your way. Stay locked in here. Oh, no, T B off the bench. All right, go to pelicanroof.com. Pelicanroof.com. The website for pelican roofing in Bad Rouge. In Lafayette locations in both locations. Oh, like I did there. In locations. So then I'd drive back and forth on the basin. I have to drive on the basin tonight. I hope it's not too packed. Probably going to be a new hot turling's whole deal. But they're there in the local communities. Always run with roofless every year. Mother's Day, roof giveaway every year. Veterans Day, roof giveaway every year. The local community means something to pelicanroofing. And look, they are in Bad Rouge. They're in Lafayette. They care. They're there.

Give me, it can be two players. It can be a player that you are going to be watching more than any other player tomorrow night in Tiger Stadium. Y'all go one offense, one defense offense. Wanna see Roman Mother Shed? Get a little bit more reps. It tight in. Six foot five. Moved him out of room receiver. Defensively the other day, I went Zach Weeks. But I want to see Richard Anderson get a little bit more reps on that D-Lon as well.
That one. Alondra. I just want to see landing Clark score a million touchdowns. That's all I got for you. Hell yeah, brother. I like that too. Matthew. Hell yeah, brother. Let's see, great answer, Alondra. Great answer, because I'm gonna say a landing Clark as well. Well, I'm gonna say who's on Long Street and landing Clark? Because that has a good opportunity to say that Sam Levit didn't play. And I don't want him to play. And I hope he doesn't play. So I want to see, it's all about the quarterbacks, everything's all about the quarterbacks. I want to see backup, quarterbacks play. And I want to see them operate efficiently. And I want to see some of the athleticism that we've seen a little bit of with landing. Guy that came, comes in from Elon. How does he operate this offense? Is he get a little bit of experience? I'll be it, you know, like I said, I don't think it's the greatest experience to get. I've got a little bit of experience. Just in case he is needed down the road in a big time moment. All right, so I'm gonna go like Tate,
I'm gonna go one on offense. I think I'm gonna go one on defense offense. Back up running back. I don't care. I don't care who it is. Stacey Gage, Caden Durham, Harlem Berry, don't care. One of y'all go out there and show out. One of y'all go out there, take the bull by the horns and show out. Do something. It's a bit of work. Run, go straight, go put your foot in the ground. Don't think, don't think, just go. And in pass protection, if you wanna get on the field, be better because Dylan Jones is a lead at it. Would you agree? Yep. And then Lamar Brown on defense, go Tigers. Break. Hit it. Off the bench. All right, go see our friends over at Palo, P-A-L-A group.com. Palogroup.com is the website been in the game since the 1970s.
