This is an I Heart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hi, this is Kylie Breakman, Angel Jaretana. Jeremy Cole, Hank Paschek McDonald. And we're the hosts of the artist on artist on artist podcast. The improvised character comedy podcast, where each week a new panel of artists discuss their craft. Join us for a panel of Eurovision participants. And we do a little Halloween sometimes. Does the Pope dress up? He winks on Halloween. He gets right up next to the microphone. I hear you get the almost here. The eyelashes hit each other. You never seen Italy so quiet as when the Pope gets up to wink on Halloween. Listen to artists on artist on artist on artist every Thursday on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus, or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I choose Option B. I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.

I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility. Listen to Solita on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're a bookshelf and you're a four-year page or equally important to your personality, welcome home. Pro Society is a weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for anyone who thinks pride and prejudice and love island deserve the same level of discourse. Each week we're connecting the dots between books, the internet, and pop culture, with your favorite writers, book talk creators, and plenty of overthought opinions. Yeah, I'm on set, so on set. Listen to Pro Society on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I survived nine months in captivity, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the survivor files. Every week I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable, abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced.

These are stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the survivor files with Elizabeth Smart on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Our hometown is not a test tube. 90 miles northeast of Nashville, a battle for the future of America plays out in one small town. Developers with right wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land. We need cities on a shining hill. This is our town, a podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment and fights back. I guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to our town on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You are listening to the Dan Patrick's show on Fox Sports Radio. We made it to the final hour on this Wednesday football coming up tonight. Point spread was around three, three and a half now back to three with Seattle hosting the Patriots and a rematch of last year's Super Bowl.

The betting line for Thursday with the Rams and the Niners, I think I last looked on Draft Kings and are the Niners getting three and a half? Is that sound right, Dylan? That is correct and the well-rested Niners getting three and a half. By the way, we're going to talk to a sleep expert and she's going to tell us who took the better route when it comes to getting acclimated to Australia, the Rams of the Niners. Yes, Dylan. I don't think people realize how big this interview is for me personally. Why? This is my, what I'm taking in this game is very much hinging on what she has to say about the sleep protocol because that's I'm going with the Niners out of the gate. Okay. Because I believe that if she proves that theory wrong, I will flip flop. Gambling podcast later today with Shay and Irving, Dylan and Big Day Ray, Big Day Ray in for the final hour. The program is Pauli gets ready with Andrew Perloff for not so fast coming up at the top of the hour.

Yes, Ray. What are the chances Todd tries to slip in a sleep apnea question during the interview? I would say that I know that would be something that would be interesting for him. I don't know what question you would ask about sleep apnea. Just like, how did I get it? Is it a weight-related thing? Is it genetic? I got lots of questions. You wouldn't be able to even get one legitimate question in about the Rams of Niners. I don't want you saying how did I get it? The mask hurts my face. Is there other things I can do? I don't want to do that thing where they implant something in your chest for breathing? Okay. All right. We ever kind of joking there. By the way, people can get in your head so easily. Yes, they can. And I said to you, stop reading social media at least during the show. And Todd goes, look at my hand. And I go, what? Does this look bad? I go, I don't even know what you're talking about. So our tweets, someone took a still shot and made a big red circle on the still shot of the sweat marks in my head.

A lot of my head's got like that. I have an oily scalp or whatever. Some of these hats that I wear, I wear, you know, to the gym or I go for a walk and then that just happens with my bald head or whatever. And so, can someone do Todd a new hat? He's got stains, sweat marks all over it. And then I proceeded next commercial break after I read that. To run water over the hat under the sink in the bathroom trying to like just make it dark. But what happens is once the wet dries up those spots are still there, they don't go away. They're just hiding behind the water and the hat. Okay. Why, but why was I moved to like, I got to fix this. Todd, I said to you, you know, stop with this. Stay in the show. Don't worry about this. Why did that bother me? What does that say about my self-esteem or character or Frankie and Tulsa doesn't like the sweat marks in my head. So I got to go to the bathroom and watch my hat. Dylan? I and Todd's defense a little bit and as someone who's also very well versed in this getting pointed out how sweaty you are is one of the more embarrassing things that can happen. I was sweaty, so my hat was sweaty. I was like, my armpits were dripping down my face and just my hat has some spots on it.

The shocker with all of this is you actually did something that would bring about sweat that you actually might have been working out. Okay. You got your shot in there. Thank you, Todd. So the day brought to you by an Indian America, the official trading cards of the program and we say good morning, those watching on peacock or NBC sports now. Pull question for the final hour and then I have my super bowl pick. Dylan? All right. Then well quick recap. I think the deal college football playoff format to team four team 12 team or 24 team. 12 team overwhelmingly preferred by the public at 72%. Okay. And for this hour, we can go a couple directions. If you're the Jaguars, would you play Travis Hunter on offense, play him on defense or play him both ways? It's too specific and nobody really cares. Yeah, I don't really either. Should should the Michigan Western Michigan result be overturned?

You obviously got into a bit of a spirited debate about that with booger. This isn't a judgment call on the field. I'm not saying let's go back and you know litigate every play that's ever happened and let's overturn those. I'm talking about something that was a you know against protocol on just doing your job and they didn't do their job. And they made a mistake. You could correct it by saying you made a mistake. This is your home field and your team is going to lose because of this. Now I'd hate to put that on one person. You know, but they made a mistake with protocol with the clock and what clock should have been used. Therefore you could make a judgment call and say that extra play never should have happened. And you could give Western Michigan the victory. You could. I wouldn't have any problem with that. Now they're never going to do it because I think what they're going to do is they're going to instruct voters.

Make sure that you look at Western Michigan as a team that won that game even though they didn't. But at the end of the year you'll go back and say they didn't lose that game against Michigan. Now subsequently do we do that to Michigan? If Michigan ends up 10 and two, we're going to look at them as nine and three. And how is that going to impact them if they're going to make the playoffs or not aware they're seated? Yes, Dylan. Yeah, I think even without if there was no controversy like with the clock and everything, I still think that the 13 to 12 win over Western Michigan would hurt Michigan big picture. We sometimes forget now this the game will remember, but sometimes you forget about those games. You know early in the season, the outcome. And but this one will stay with Michigan as well. And maybe they're out of the top 25 and now you got Oklahoma coming to town. Yeah, Dylan, they're getting five and a half against Oklahoma, which is interesting at home.

I imagine anyone who watched that Michigan games probably like I should take Oklahoma, but this I mean if Michigan comes out and makes a statement against Oklahoma, that will sort of start to push the West. A little bit. Yes, yes. And they were favored by one and a half and then after this game, then it went to five and a half for Oklahoma. James and Virginia. Hi, James. What do you have for me? Oh, thank you for taking my call brother. Happy Wednesday. D.P. Dennis, the Luther commanders. Welcome, gentlemen to the 2026 NFL season and your NFL NDP will of course be K and five is alive, man. But I can't take them into Super Bowl, man, because there is a lot of questions, but I do trust Gated. I'm going with the lines over the bills and the Super Bowl this year, man. I think the bill, George Allen is definitely going to have the NDP season. I think there are going to be the bangles in the AFC. Orals are going to have another shot at the NDP year.

There's just too much fire time for them, but the Detroit lines would give think brown Williams. I think that defense, they're going to come and ready to play the Rams are always a sexy pick, but lines over the bills. I appreciate your gentlemen and one last thing D.P. Start out to booters, Hey, Francisco. Who has the better than we do? No, buddy. I have a great one. James in Indiana. Hi, James. How's it going? So can we later rest about the whole burrow winning out after the whole him telling Hobson he wants to stay here for the long haul? Also, Bougare, I disagree. The reason people blame Lamar and Josh Allen is because the turnovers and they don't play well in the playoffs. When burrow goes to the playoffs, all he does is win. He just got to stay healthy, but yeah, he's gotten what he wanted in Cincinnati. You know, he wanted them to his wide receivers resigned. They got, you know, their money. Higgins got his money. Just if the defense, if Lawrence plays great, that tough division, but they should be a playoff team this year.

The Ravens should be a playoff team this year. I'll give you my Super Bowl pick coming up here. Trip and Vegas. I trip. What do you have for me? Hey, good morning, Dale. It was good to speak with you all. I got two fritzies things. A question. One, can he actually hear the show? Because he tends to repeat everything you say all day. So, and then secondly, with the sleep expert today, can you find out from her the phenomenon of easiest way to fall asleep is just turn on the Todd Cass. The Todd Cass does not put me to sleep. It puts me on edge sometimes. It is a fascinating podcast. It's the most honest podcast in America. It is too much, but it's a new episode up there. Dan Patrick dot com. Yeah, Dale. I thought it would be more of a cathartic experience for Todd doing the Todd Cass, but he kind of said yesterday that he doesn't always leave feeling great. There have been weeks where I've driven home in tears.

This was supposed to be helpful. What kind of thought of the story that I somehow said or that I was last week? Terry and Seattle. Hi, Terry. Hey, good morning, Dan. Welcome to the home of the NFL Opener. A lot of excitement around here today. And I just hope that the game lives up to the excitement. And, you know, it's a clean game on both sides. So we really put on a show. I think people around the country who, normally, don't get to see the hawks play at home or enter a tree. One other thing I know a few days ago, you guys were talking about all-time defensive duos. And I had one that was a little more obscure for you. I think they had to run a three super balls. They won two of them, and they were part of the perfect season, and the no-name defense with Miami. Many Fernandez and Nick Bonacani were unbelievable. Yeah, yeah, Bonacani, linebacker, many Fernandez, nose-tanko. Tony in California, hi, Tony.

Good morning, guys. Dan, you need to stay in your lane. LSU is back. I mean, the way we won was old school, LSU, run in the ball. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, I didn't argue that. Yeah, anyways. What are you talking about? LSU played great. That's not the story. I'm not surprised. It's all the other stuff. That's what we're talking about. LSU dominated Clemson. Congratulations. That's the other awesome thing, though. The only thing we like as much as Natties, aspiring coaches, and the mood around LSU before the game was like, this four-star-ears-n-old head that we're like, dude, we've been cheating for 75 years. If we go too far, his downfall is going to be glorious. As our governor said last week, don't hate the player. Hate the game. Alrighty. Thank you, Tony. Well, it's not sure what we settled there. Not a thing. Yeah. Like LSU played great.

Congratulations. He's talking. Yeah, yeah. That way. It's easy to say that now, but that schedule is brutal. All Miss A&M, Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas. Yeah. Look, I probably lose a couple of games this year. Make the playoffs. Alrighty. More phone calls coming up. Time for my Super Bowl pick. All right. I'm going to let you guys guess who I think is going to win the Super Bowl this year. All right. Ray, I'll start with you. I'm going to guess the Denver Broncos. All right. Marvin. The Seattle Seahawks again. Todd, the Houston Texans. Mm-hmm. Why not? Dylan. I'm going to call an exacta here, Dan. Okay. Rams over Texans. No, my hot take is the Rams don't win the Super Bowl. Oh, right. Okay. Then Lions over Texans.

Lions over the Texans. Nope. The Texans. Nope. The two teams I have playing in the Super Bowl this year. The Denver Broncos. And the Philadelphia Eagles. Mm-hmm. But the Denver Broncos winning the Super Bowl. Let's go. I know. I love that. I kept going. God, I got a... Man. Makes me so happy. But I didn't even think... I'm like, this is one of those where I just go. The Denver and Philadelphia are my two Super Bowl teams. Now, there's obviously you can like the Rams, Seattle, Dallas, tough schedule, Buffalo. You'd root for them. Maybe Detroit, maybe to come back and try it one more time. So, yeah, there are a lot of teams that you could Baltimore going to make the playoffs again. Maybe this is Joe Burrow coming back, being healthy, going to the Super Bowl. But it's the Broncos and the Eagles.

Yes, Dylan. I know you're very high on the Texans, at least defensively, as their offensive question mark, kind of why they're not in the mix for you. Super Bowl-wise. Yeah. Yeah. I think getting Waddle, I think that defense was really formidable. Great pass rush. Got, you know, secondary defensive player of the year. Offensive line was great. You know, you have Waddle in there and Sean Payton. Bonyx stays healthy and I'll take a shot with Denver. Philadelphia, I mean, I look at them. I know another offensive coordinator, but that team has loaded. Offensive line loaded. Sequan hurts. I know you lose AJ Brown. They didn't seem too bothered that they were losing AJ Brown. Defense once again. I know NFC East is going to be tough. Well, the giants, giants will be good.

Washington should be better because they'll be healthier. And I think Dallas, if they didn't have that schedule, it's weird. If Dallas had Philly schedule and Philly had Dallas schedule, I might think differently. Yeah, Dylan. Would you like to know the odds of your Super Bowl matchup end result? Sure. So the Broncos to beat the Eagles is plus 21,000. Okay. It's got a little juice. I might sprinkle on that just as a sportsman. Okay. Yes, Marvin. And you picking the Eagles is pretty on like it's on brand for you because you love Jaila Hurt in the postseason when it comes to that. Yeah. I might take them to win another Super Bowl. Yeah, I want to know what you do when the biggest games are on the line, especially at that position. All I know is he's not going to put up great regular season numbers. But I have full confidence once he gets to the postseason. And our buddy Sean Manion is the new OC in Philadelphia, friend of the show.

Yes, Marvin. It for Hurt's one step closer to Canton. If he'd win another Super Bowl, he'll be a whole of favor. Yes, Dylan. Also, I think Nick Saryani needs to win one like every other year to keep his job. Not true, but I'm going to get what you're saying there. Dylan might be right. I know he's always on the hot seat. I know. I know. All righty, do they have is there a company that makes a hot seat like they're called the hot seat? Be bacon, buffalo. Or if they have benches, you know, you're sitting on the hot seat. We always talk about that. Yes, Todd. I think it's a lovely idea if that doesn't exist. We got to roll with that. Thank you. That's copyright. All right. They do the heated floors. You could probably make a bench. Yeah, no, no, just the company. Like if you're on the hot seat. Hot. But I don't know if there is an actual hot seat.

They do make the warming toilet seats. That's a hot seat. And that might be called hot seat. It's not hot. It'd be warm seat. Right. Do you find anything? The only thing I'm seeing is there's a warming stadium seat. It's all the way down here. You know, if my coach is on the hot seat. Never mind. Okay. There's a good thought. No, no, no, I should have. You know, we'll take it out when we replay the podcast. We'll take that out. Not everything has to be said aloud. I've learned that the highway. Thank you. So I'm just going to start the thought bubble as far. Thank you. How's your hat with its stains on it? Slowly drying and showing the stains that were there under the wetness of that. When we come back, if Todd doesn't put you to sleep, our sleep expert might. Just because of the suggestion she could have for it. Not because she's not interested in it. Exactly. Exactly. Thank you, Todd. We got a clarifying. No, no, no, no. Take a break. We're back after this. Be sure to catch the live edition of the Dan Patrick Show. Weekdays at 9 AM Eastern 6 AM Pacific on Fox Sports Radio in the I Heart Radio app.

Yeah, it's reading. It's called reading. So you're so we don't like to use that word anymore. Okay. A panel of New Yorker cartoonists. Have you guys done Terry Gross's Peloton class?

No! I've been dying too. I'm so sorry. I'm seeing a reading of Sudako in the Pousin Paper Cranes by Audrement Donalds at the Wonderland bookstore. 14. That's crazy. I went to the Wonderland bookstore yesterday and I heard Nora Jones do a reading of Zero Dark Thirty. No way. We'll have to come to the last bookstore though. Kim Kertroll is reading the guitar tabs of yesterday. A panel of Eurovision participants. And we do a little Halloween sometimes. Does the Pope dress up? He winks on Halloween. He gets right up next to the microphone. I hear he'll get the elbows here. The eyelashes hit each other. You never seen it least so quiet as when the Pope gets up to wink on Halloween. I choose Option B. I'm Julie Beniero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first.

I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I try to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us, not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. I survived and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart and these are the survivor files. I just remember this low taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything.

Every week I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up without a doubt he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. They're stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the survivor files with Elizabeth Smart on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Our town is small taters by most standards, right? But to the people who grew up here, it's everything. What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America? Developers with right wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area. The first thing you see when it pops up is high nears and apple etch. But they weren't just planning houses.

We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life. Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment. God need mental rule! And decides to fight back. Do not use my hard work to sell your bulls**t. They're not just opposing what's being planned for here. Our hometown is not a test tube. They feel like they're standing in opposition to an entire administration. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to our town on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. A lot of conversations in the past week or so with the travel plans, with the Niners and the Rams, and who was taking the best route, given the travel time, jet lag, when do you get there, when do you get acclimated? The Rams, they left on Tuesday, the Niners left last week, and we thought, why not try to find somebody who does this for a living.

Dr. Metis Singh, board certified physician and psychiatrist concentrated in the applied science of sleep. She's worked as a consultant for multiple NFL teams, baseball, NHL NBA, Olympics, college teams as well, and large organizations and executives seeking to optimize their competitive performance. Dr. Thanks for joining us. If you were in charge of travel for these two football teams, what would you have suggested going from the West Coast to Australia? Well, so think about the time difference at 17 hours ahead. So science says that it takes about an hour a day to acclimatize. You have to kind of manage that jet lag. I would say at this point, nobody's going to have 17 days to adjust. So the earlier you get the better, I'm really interested in, because I don't work with either teams. I'm interested to understand why they both took such different routes.

Because I mean, they're just going to, the Rams, I'm going to get there there for only 48 hours. So I don't see how they're going to get adjusted there. But the Niners leaving and getting there five or six days earlier, is that a big advantage in your opinion? Well, it depends on how well they're doing it. Yes. So if they had planned this out, they've like, you know, used strategically used melatonin adjusted their use, you use light. There's an entire protocol that you can follow to try to get adjusted to the new time zone. If they've done that right, then yes, they would be, they would be, they had the advantage of being better adjusted. You work for the Saints, I can see the footballs behind you if you're watching the show, but you're now working for the Denver Broncos. Yes. What is your role with the Broncos? So I'm a sleep consultant and I am my role is to help them, you know, manage travel, manage their any sleep issues, any,

anybody in the building might have on an individual level. And, you know, the culture at the organization is absolutely amazing. Like the owners have invested a lot. Sean Patron, of course, you know, wants to follow the science. And yeah, that's what we do. What's your take on melatonin? Well, melatonin is, it's something that it's a, it's something that is indulging asleep reduced number in, right? But you can take it externally and it actually works really well for jet lag because it's a signal to your brain that you are, that you're ready to fall asleep. So for example, when these teams are falling asleep at night, it's their body clocks still think that they are in California time. So they're trying to fall asleep at five or six in the morning. Melatonin at that time would send them a signal that you're ready to fall asleep.

We look at teams going from the west coast to the east coast. Yes. As opposed to east coast going to the west coast, is there that much of a difference in performance of, you know, what direction you're going in? Yeah, I mean, so Dan, it's always easier to go to bed later, right? So when you go from the east to the west coast, you're going to bed later. It's always easier. East travel, eastward travel is always more difficult. And, you know, that three-hour difference does make a difference. It makes a significant difference. The problem with this trip is that it's a 16-hour difference. It's a flip of a day and a night. It's never been studied before. We have no idea. I mean, you know, there's no real way that you can actually do research for this. But you can going from east coast to west coast and vice versa. Yes, you can. It's much more manageable.

It's also, it's also more manageable when you're going from here to say London to play. Right? So there's a time difference. But if you get there a week ahead in time, you've given yourself enough time to follow a protocol, that'll help manage it. This is difficult for both. I've been told I don't know if it's true. So that's why I'm asking you, the doctor, if I go from New York to Italy, don't take that nap when I get to Italy, plow through the first day. Yes, yes. So when you go from here to Italy, you want to not take a nap because a nap will take a bite out of your sleep drive. You want that drive to help you fall asleep at night. So yeah, that's good policy. You want to go there and like hit the ground running. You know, when it comes to light exposure, you've got to be careful about when to expose your eyes to light, your body clock to light.

So maybe where sun glasses till about 10 or 11 a.m. But then get exposed to bright light. I have somebody on my staff, Todd Fritz, who has sleep apnea. Uh-huh. What kind of progress have we made in sleep apnea? Oh my goodness. It's amazing now, right? Like, first of all, we no longer do a single night of sleep study. We do multiple nights because sleep apnea varies by by night every night. And then the treatments that are available, you know, you can if somebody's overweight, you can give them medication for that to kind of help them. But that sleep apnea, the machines are really smaller. They're much more easier to use. Um, there are different like the dental devices. There are, uh, there are surgical options that are available. Um, are you treating your sleep apnea, Todd? I am using the CPAP for a while. It wasn't comfortable. I tried all the different masks. Someone came to the house. They did the sleep studies and the doctor said you have severe obstructive sleep apnea where you're constantly stopping your breathing.

So I am being treated up with a CPAP machine and it's going fine. I'm afraid of the whole implant thing. I don't want to do the inspire thing. I'm, uh, this arrow sleep machine or something. So I don't love it. But if it's, if it's helpful and I'm getting better sleep and I feel better and it's putting less pressure on my body and my heart, then I've got to do with wearing it. Good man. Yeah. That's exactly that's exactly the right thing to do. Dr. Thank you. Uh, if the Broncos win the Super Bowl, do you get a Super Bowl ring? Um, I certainly hope so. I, I, I, I definitely, um, I'm, I'm honored to work with the Broncos. You know, I'm like working with Sean Peyton is an on and off a lifetime. And you guys game balls there that he gave you when you were with the Saints? Yes. Okay. How do you get a game ball is these, they sleep doctor? Well, hopefully you, you contribute. Um, so this is when they went, uh, they were in, they played in London and they, uh, the Saints were 20 and the dolphins were zero.

Okay. I hope I had something to do. Did some help them. Good for you. Yeah. That's, I'm wondering what the, I'd be really interested in finding out what the thought process was for these two teams and how they decided, you know, to go at these different times. How many teams have sleep doctors? Um, well, I'm not very sure how many do it, it really is, it's a, it's a matter of culture because, you know, calling in a sleep doctor a week before or 10, you know, 10 days before a major trip is not the right way to do it. So, um, the culture of figuring out what's happening with somebody's sleep, helping them really starts in the off season and happens mostly in the preseason. And then you, you, it's a multi a program. You're going to help them through it so that, um, because it takes a little bit of discipline and it takes buy in the, you know, the players have to buy into that.

Thank you for sharing and good luck this upcoming season. Take care. Bye bye. Dr. Mita Singh, a board certified physician psychiatrist. She is consulted the Saints. Now the Broncos, I think the Washington Nationals NBA Olympics, college teams as well. Interesting. I don't know if that helped you with your sleep apnea Todd, but I thought if I have, you know, an expert here. I appreciate her support. I found that very interesting. I thought that was a really interesting take on what the Rams and Niners are up against before their first game. But I did fall asleep when she was talking about your sleep. Or you were talking about your sleep apnea. Did I, did I ramble too much? Yeah, a little bit. I didn't mean to. Yes, Dylan. I should have asked her what to do for what I, I'm going to consider undiagnosed sleep apnea. And I have not used the, uh, the CPAP machine. Yeah, if you're snoring and you're waking up and you're not feeling rested, you should look into getting to sleep. How about you guys talk about this, you know, nothing. Okay. Yes, yes, Ray. All of a sudden your bronca Super Bowl pick looks a whole lot better.

Yeah, they're going to be well rested. Great. I'm in a sleep doctor. They're going to be well rested. Go Broncos. Thank you, Todd. Uh, Dan and Iowa. Good morning. Dan, what's on your mind? Hey, thanks for taking my call, guys. Hey, just real quick. Flip the script on this whole issue with Western Michigan and Michigan. Let's say they were supposed to award a second. They didn't fall a pro to call and they did not give Michigan another play. Would you be calling for the absurd result today of replaying that second two or three days later? No, no. If this game took place at Western Michigan and they had the mistake there, I mean, imagine the fallout with this. Imagine if that game Michigan played Indiana and it ended that way. This is Western Michigan and it feels like in the bigger picture, they can be a casualty and everybody's going to move on with it. But in Western Michigan's world, it's like, no, we beat Michigan and we have designs on making the playoffs.

There might be a bonus in, you know, the coaches contract there of how many wins you have. So it's a big deal. They made a mistake. It was on protocol. It wasn't a judgment call of making a mistake on the field. That was the only thing that I was getting at. This isn't a, oh, you know what? He didn't have both feet in bounds. Whatever. Jeremy and Ohio. Hi, Jeremy. What do you have for me? Hey, Dan. Thanks for the call. As we get, or for let me be on, as we get into the season for football here, I was thinking going back like NFL film style. I love how every now and then you talk about what Todd has to say with the backroom guys and how he goes from everywhere to everywhere. I think it'd be good once a week that you just randomly had one of the backroom guys miked up. You could show the film, the ontycock and what Todd said to those people. And just let it go for a couple minutes because some of that content might get the Emmy over the top.

No, you couldn't put a lot of that on the radio. And Todd just looks for a sympathetic audience. He just, he knows that in here, we've heard everything and they need walks around the building. And then he just looks for somebody who looks like they might want to listen to him. David and Knoxville. Hi, David. Dan just real real quick comment about the lane kipping deal. Of course, you know, it was me living in Knoxville. He's not very popular here. However, in his press conferences, he always mentions those two players that are coming down from the NFL training camp is kids. Well, it seemed like to me those two kids are taking two roster spots on his team away from two real kids that would have been seniors in hospital last year and knocked him out of a chance to play in college football. Yeah, but that's already that's already changed, David. He is moving on. He's not going to have those players on his roster. He's locked in his roster of 105 players. But thank you for the phone call.

By the way, we talked about is there anything that compares to the Western Michigan Michigan ending and we brought up maybe you could do 1972 when the Russians beat the United States in the gold medal game. The final three seconds were replayed three times until the Soviets won. Well, that date that anniversary was today. So we're only a couple of days removed from the Western Michigan Michigan game and it was 1972 when that happened. The Soviet Union won 51 to 50 and they replayed the final three seconds until the Soviets finally scored a basket. The US team did not take the silver medal refused to take the silver medal. I think they got him and maybe they're put away somewhere. But Doug Collins is talked about this that it's like, nope. We did not win a silver. We want a gold. Yes, Marvin.

Have you ever talked to anybody from that 72 team about that? Yeah, we talked to Doug Collins about it. It's still very, very personal. It still hurts when you talk to guys who were on that team. It's like, you're going to replay it three times. And I remember Hank Iba, legendary Oklahoma state coach. He was the coach of team USA. And I felt bad for him. It was the end of his career. I did visit him in still water. Not long before he passed away and we talked about that moment. And he was taking it to his grave. You could tell the pain was still there and was not going to disappear. If you're watching on peacock or NBC sports now, it's a pizza Wednesday. So you can see what we're taking off the rec tech grills. Last call for phone calls. What we've learned and what's in store tomorrow after this. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. I survived and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth smart and these are the survivor files. Just remember this low taunting voice next to my ear saying shut up. Don't say anything. Their story is about what it takes to make it out alive. On the new podcast solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I choose option B. I'm Julie Pinero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone I kept meeting people and they were like, you smile good as not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to solita on the I heart radio app Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Our town is small taters by most standards right but to the people who grew up here it's everything. What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America. Developers with right wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area. The first thing you see when it pops up is high nears and apple etchum but they weren't just planning houses. We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life. Stop right there, is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment. Got me meant to rule and decides to fight back. Do not use my hard work to sell your bull. They're not just opposing what's being planned for here. Our hometown is not a test to. They feel like they're standing in opposition to an entire administration. I guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now did you? Listen to our town on the I heart radio app Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Last call for phone calls what we learn what's in store tomorrow. Once again, Patriots, three point underdogs and the Niners three and a half point underdogs tomorrow night gambling podcast. That will be available this afternoon at Dan Patrick dot com. You can also go there for the Todd cast twelve fifteen podcasts the back room guys as well as they get to dish on everything that happened during the week. Final results of the poll questions today Dylan. Well then should the Michigan western Michigan result be overturned? 78% of people agree with you. They think it should be. Yeah, I know. But it's just it was something that was protocol is the problem that I have with this it never should have gone to that other clock that's all. It should have stayed with this clock the game clock that everybody else was going by even when we had Chris Fowler on and he does how many college football games in his career. He's like I had no idea.

You know there's two different clocks and the fact you can't sink them up or one has the tenths of a second and then we don't have that. For the stadium clock the broadcast clock. Yes Dylan seems to be easier to have the same clock twice than two different ones. Yeah, but one has tenths of a second. Yeah, but you're not supposed to use that. Like break glass in case of an emergency you know like the Florida state SMU game. If the stadium clock is not working then you'll go off of this clock. At least that's what I've been told. Any other poll results there? Yes, but also like why just have them the same whether you have the hundreds or not just have the same clock and then this whole thing literally isn't an issue. But you don't have hundreds of seconds that you can put up on the stadium clock. We don't we don't have that. You just you just have zero.

But then get rid of the other one get rid of the really accurate one. Just go to the one that's just whole seconds. We actually have a Todd Cass related poll question for you. Are you more likely to watch the matrix from start to finish or listen to an episode of the podcast from start to finish? Well, I'm 31 minutes into the matrix. I haven't listened to the Todd cast all the way through zero minutes into the Todd cast. No, no, no, I've listened to some of the Todd cast. But here's the thing. I listen to the Todd cast every single day of my life when I'm around Todd for three hours. That's not just three hours because I'm texting you before and after the show and I'm calling you and I'm emailing. Yeah, it's probably like more like eight nine ten hours. I'm not going to get through the matrix. I don't think I don't think so. I didn't think you were going to either. I believe in you in most things when it comes to finishing a movie, particularly one you're like, yeah, about from the jump. No, I know it's a great movie. I just don't have I don't have the patience to sit down and just watch it.

I'm always getting up. I just. I can't do it. Even an episode, you know, that's a half hour long. Hopefully I get through those. If it's an hour long, I split it in half. I rarely watch something all the way through. Yes, Ray. When was the last time you watched a full movie when you weren't on a plane? When I go to the theater. Okay, when we went to see Odyssey, I didn't get up at all. I didn't get up at all. That was a three-hour movie. I was good. In fact, my wife goes, you didn't get up. And I go, I know. I know. How about that? Yes, Dylan. If they do a showing of the Matrix at a movie theater, then we should go. Then you're trapped. Yeah, pretty much. It's a date. All right. Cool. Yeah. Like I can't flip over or what happens is my wife and my daughters might be in one room watching a movie. And then I get up and go in and to my bar area. And then I'll have a cigar and some tequila. And then watch, you know, date line or something.

E. Man. If there's no sport, I mean, I'll watch any sports. Usually, if it's a, you know, Fresno State playing somebody and you're like, yeah, I want that. I'm good with that. Yeah, Mark. Or you'll be on Facebook watching Peyton Pitcher Highlight from the summer league. Man, I'm going to watch it. Yeah, Mark. Or you'll be on Facebook watching Peyton Pitcher Highlight from the summer league. That is true. Or I'll be buying a quarter-royse on Facebook Marketplace. I was looking at some golf shoes yesterday. Some of the D-tis golf shoes. Good. Good. Ordered a couple pair. For the corn fairy tour? Yeah. I played with some, I played with Ray. I was like, oh, Jack is a new guy that we hired. And then Tyler played too. And Jack is a stick. Jack hits it 300 yards.

And Ray is decent. Tyler is not. But Tyler is a good company. I ended up having five birdies in the first 14 holes. And like chipping in twice. Like I almost had a hole in one. It was one of those where you go. And then he's going on here. And everybody, you know, all of a sudden Ray's not playing well. So he wants to start drinking. And then I'm going, I'm not. I'm going to be, I'm having gatorated. Well, I got a good round going on here. That's best I've played in a long, long time. So I'm thinking about corn fairy tour. When I retire, maybe you're a senior tour. Yes, Dylan. See, that's actually, those rounds are bad for you, I think. Because you're all, after that, you're like, look at this guy. And then it never works out that way again. I don't play enough. I'm not, I don't play consistently. So four days in a row or, you know, five days in eight, you know, day, you know, those kind of things. And the more you play your short game is what improves.

And my, you know, chipping in twice, making some puts, you know, that doesn't normally happen. Ben in South Carolina. Hi, Ben. What do you have for me? Hi, Dan. Bronco Super Bowl. That's a leap. Now watch, all your Todd Fritz can't sleep. One guy has a shot to have a take more hot. Blank Kiffin that. Plea plea plea plea plea. Thank you, Ben. Trip and Mrs. Sippy. Hi, Trip. How you doing? Good. I guess the interesting thing is, if you live long enough, you see it all over again. Why didn't it call a rotten Missouri where there was a fifth down? They scored the touchdown. Yeah. And the same thing talking about overturning it as an Ole Miss fan. I remember 72 when Bart Jones got an extra second to throw the winning touchdown and beat us. And I hope, hopefully, we won't get the court system involved. We need, I think we just need to understand we're human, referees, etc.

We're making mistakes and sometimes bad things happen to good people. All right. Thank you, Trip. Voice of reason. Yes, Todd. I was just saying, whispering to Dylan, it's a little jarring when someone goes right into the limerick with that saying, I have a limerick. No, I loved it. I was interested. I loved it. Let's go around the room, see if we learned anything on the show. Todd, you learn anything? I did. Pat 40 thinks maybe Bill Belchett gets through the season, but not so sure he can win himself out of this mess at Carolina. Dylan, you can get the Game Ball as a sleep specialist. Well, they did go from Denver to London or was that New Orleans to London? Yeah. And she was with the Saints at the time. Marvin. You want somebody to create an actual hot seat? Ray. Todd needs to get out social media. Todd, what did I learn today? Bogger McFron doesn't need to want the 2014 playoff. They can't figure out the current 12 team playing off. Thanks for joining us. Our pleasure to serve you. We'll try to do better tomorrow. Have a great day, everybody. Hi, this is Kylie Breikman, Angel Jaretana. Jeremy Cole, Hank Cash, McDonald.
