Cage Gangster Devon Hennessy's partner has taken to social media to brand his younger brother Jason

2:03as a rash as the fallout between the siblings continues to escalate. Today I'm talking to Crime World's Emer Rabbit about how there have been a series of incidents showing how the West Dublin brothers have had a serious split. Obviously the Hennessy gang from Cordoph from my stolen have been led by two brothers in particular Jason and Devon. But it seems things all is not well and all is not harmonious amongst the ones, the brothers because they were always seen as a duo. Yeah, they were and I suppose like going back years, we have photographs of them with their late father Jason Hennessy senior who was murdered at Brandstake, a couple of years ago. They were always very close, similar in age, look very like Bush. Things definitely seem to have taken a turn. They're obviously Bolton Prison now for the horrific torture track on Barry

3:05Moore who was branded as rash, but yeah, there's been a kind of vessel once they're going on behind the scenes in recent times and we obviously had a story in recent weeks about how the partner of Devon Hennessy online commented about Jason being a rash. There's also been Utter Graffiti only this week we've had Graffiti sent in tools that appears to be in the Molle-Hodard area in West Dublin and it's calling Jay a fat rat. So I mean it's the usual slur of course that is put on anybody in Gangland when they fall out. I suppose what's unusual about this is that I mean the two brothers were so indistinguishable that in their look that they were constantly being mixed up even in photographs in newspapers which because they really looked the same. But I suppose what happened once that torture case came to course and when there were sentence they were treated differently. The Jason got a far longer sentence than Devon and even the evidence given in that core case

4:09you know distinguishes them in a way that we hadn't maybe distinguished them before. Now around them there's always been the the women and some of the tensions between the brothers certainly seem to be playing out amongst the women and it is Kirstie Duffy, Devon's partner who takes exception I suppose to her beloved being mistaken for her brother. I know I'm like you'd have to forgive people who would have mistaken as you said but yeah she didn't like it so basically there was a social media post and it was a picture of her for herself and Devon and she basically was putting up loving tributes to him saying that she's a caffoertum getting out and she's been very vocal about that and then underneath it somebody said somebody commented basically and said that's the bloke who a national TV said he would love to ride a male garter because obviously you know Jason Hennessy in particular was a big part of

5:10dash garter show a few years ago inside the K and you know there was a obviously this was going into all the stuff that the guards have to deal with in West Dublin but there was one interaction with him where he was very angry towards a garter and he's basically saying he was wanted to you know he's really so close around I mean it's constantly is playing being played even the last couple of weeks where there's a Jason Hennessy is like he's spitting a bit rage and there's two guardi trying to whatever Devon him anyway it comes after his house was was subject of of a search and he tells them that he basically says I'll ride you at one point he's saying to him I'll slap the little fat ourselves yeah yeah very graphic like it genuinely you know you don't get shocked with much but some of the like Jason Hennessy you know the head and the really shouting that anybody people always were fair to that yeah he's referred to this on social media

6:12and our young heroine Kirstie Duffy has taken exception and said that's not her part yeah she responded so she uses the Facebook handle KD KD and she said I got your facts rose you're on about Jay the rash and so obviously you know this is kind of adding fuel to the rumors that have been gone around that all it is and well among the brooders since they've been jails there was obviously graffiti we did a story in the last year where there was graffiti in the cordoferia it was actually targeting Devon by calling the Hennessy rats and this was after they were jails and then obviously we've had a couple of stories about tensions among females in the Hennessy orbish and there was one I think was it around it was in a better year ago where there was a gun attack linked to a female associate of Devon Hennessy and that kind of was obviously so tensions as well and of course there was the probably a sort of notorious incident where

8:16since Jason has been moved down to limbic and Devon is being kept up in man joy and we've been hearing reports that all is not well between them that's unnecessarily why they're being kept apart but that's Devon was telling people he did want Jay back they're do seem to have been a serious breakdown yeah they're doors and obviously like it had been said when these guys were jails dashed they were going to have to be kept apart in the prison system because obviously they're very violent guys and we know dash and to two father and son who were involved in that attack with the Hennessy's Kenneja and Dean Fitzsiamonds as far as they're aware are still together in port leash prison because they were were they on the same land in the signol kinneja at one point yeah and so they obviously the rest of the Hennessy brothers have been segregated but I suppose it we don't know the root cause of it but I guess as you said the worst difference is in the sentence in the how the sentencing was dealt with for the gang members because Devon had initially pleaded

9:18guilty and then after Barry Moore refused to give evidence then the order is pleaded guilty on lesser charges but it was kind of said in court by Barry Moore dash or was said in court by Gary D giving evidence on what Barry Moore said that he had asked him to stop during the attack and that the order is where horrifically brutal and did want to stop yeah so Devon Hennessy would be out relatively soon and what has happened of course is that the the Hennessy gang were I mean there was street dealing gang they became notorious because of the level of violence that they used and their treatment of I suppose you know street level addicts and young kids who were dealing drugs for them but in of themselves they weren't a massive criminal organization you know they certainly weren't making millions but there were very significant street dealing operation and they controlled a large part of maybe cordoph parts of West fingless they were aligned to to one of the

10:22gangs involved in the flashy feud and they were you know serious operators since they've gone behind bars there have been younger associates have attempted to fill the void I suppose yeah and that again is causing a degree of tension yeah and like there's a younger male associate who is kind of now looking to sort of impose himself on the drugs trade in the area there is obviously always tensions with the flashy mob in that area and there's been lots of incidents there's been lots of you know gun attacks pipe am instance linked to that feud and you know there's always someone that's gonna come up in the places and they're so while I suppose they're happy that like we originally did a story after the Hennessy's were jailed saying you know that there was kind of disappointment that this was the opportunity for the courts to take them off the streets for a long long time because they have you know managed there is a bit of a pair of vacuum but obviously like I think Devon Hennessy will be open next year and in the meantime there is people that are

11:22trying to impose themselves but I don't know to the same degree because these guys are very violent and they have a fearsome reputation now they they are Devon Hennessy maybe has another is it another couple of years to go I think it's less than two or I'd say yeah yeah yeah it's worth remembering what they what they're in prison for yeah this attack on Barrymore and it happened in 2025 to start 2025 Barrymore had been a lifelong family a lifelong pile of some of the Hennessy family and but he become under suspicion they gone increasingly paranoid and came to believe that he was feeding information to some of the rivals you know associated with the flashy gang and they'd basically lured him into this into this the shed at the back of her house and subjected him to the most horrific torture session really and where he was branded with a cattle iron

12:23branded with the word rash and fully enough that word now is coming back to Hans Jason yeah and he was mercilessly beaten and subjected to a you know an unimaginable sort of level of cruelty you know when when it came to court the reason there was a bit of a disappointment was that they had Jason Hennessy and Odert and Devon and the two fit Simons had pled guilty to basically an assault charge with a maximum sentence of 10 years which I think he got something very close there was a nine years a nine years they got more definitely yeah but it was you know it wasn't you know you you might have an equivalent case for example the the abduction of Kevin Loney yeah people got sentenced as well into 20 30 years some some of the people involved in that yeah and now Jason Hennessy as you say got a much longer sentence but Devon will be expected to be out now we have heard that there's there's personal aspects that is falling out that's a

13:26nothing to do with the sentencing yeah and we even had a picture of Devon Hennessy that we did not so long ago but the sort of bizarre security measures he had where he has this massive cage and is from garden to protect his car basically yeah it's like a nish yeah yeah so there's obviously and I suppose they've always just been tiff protect tiff or tatt attacks even when the two were talking but yeah yeah Devon Hennessy got three years and the judges scroued him in court as being the least culpable and he had obviously pleaded guilty first and he they would have been both all had sentencing back day that as well so I'd be surprised that he's not out next year and then obviously the Uter has got longer sentences but again with the remission time and been they've been a coastie for a goad while the attack happened in January February 2025 and I think they've been in they've been in they were arrested within days and yeah yeah in custody ever since if you think of that's almost that I've been gone on two years so you know any of them are going to

14:27be in for for ten for you know anywhere close to the original sentencing bush and yeah so I suppose they had just been talked about the other issues going on and there's obviously been still around the women as well but it does not doubt that it's a very chaotic life to live and it doesn't seem to have come down inside no and it doesn't come down and it's a disser to Hennessy's like that you know they're still displaying their business on social media despite all of the problems that it's causing because ultimately they they they're not criminal masterminds are they? no but like I suppose as well it's just the pride that their partners have as well they've known like Chrissy's I was very vocal and I think that that obviously comment came from her loving post with her partner yeah she did say at one point and I'll just be just end on this because you can explain to me there's no ride or die like us what does that mean? I ride or die means it doesn't have to refer to a partner a comedian like friend someone that's which you know matter what hey so be like no matter what I do
