Hail Mary's $10 Trillion Price Tag: Fact vs Fiction

0:00It's April 18th. I'm Quarry with the story and this is entertainment and celebrity news today AI powered and star driven Project Hail Mary is blowing up as a massive hit from Andy Wears book to the new movie with Ryan Gosling and directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller The story revolves around a spaceship called the Hail Mary sent on a desperate mission light years from Earth But here's the real talk building that ship for real would cost over ten trillion dollars and insane Fortune way beyond anything we've seen in the plot a science teacher wakes up alone on board piecing together his mission to stop a substance dimming the sun and doom in humanity Wear himself calls the price tag astronomical Infocizing its a last-ditch effort to save everyone no wonder the stakes feel so high on screen to grasp that number Only the U.S. and China have economies topping ten trillion dollars each year NASA's whole annual budget sits at about 24 billion and even the Artemis 2 mission ran 4 billion just for one trip the global box office last year

1:03Amazely 30 billion compare that to sci-fi dreams like a death star and the Hail Mary still comes out pricier Real-world space projects pale next to it making the whole thing pure fantasy unless the apocalypse hits Bottom line and a do-or-die world like the stories ten trillion sounds like a steal to keep humanity alive Kesta movie in theaters and feel that epic scale for yourself
