something spooky is brewing at Greenlight. On it harvest is bringing monster savings on your favorite products all October long come before these deals disappear. The best can of a steel is always that greenlight dispensary dot com. That's right unlimited RV brings you the two minute drill on Todd Lebo in force or in petro today and told Kyle I said is anyone going to be happy on this thing and I'm looking for the first couple of cities. Maybe not. I'm going to be able to get a little bit of hope. I'm going to be able to get a little bit of hope in Oklahoma city with mark Rogers of W W L. S. is for its animal. Mark how are the folks taking the by week down there in Oklahoma can't lose to buy correct. Lebo what's up? They're good. You know, I mean, it's a it's a week after this is after in Georgia. And I think that there actually has been I really, really good. I'm really looking for a little

easy to kind of collaborate to hate Texas that it's pretty much all better by now, but it will be really really bad next Saturday evening if it doesn't go well in the cotton bowl. Yeah, at least closer. If you just, if they just don't turn them all over two or three times, that's the thing. I don't understand this. They don't get turnovers either. That's the problem. They have a really good team. Yeah, I think that they have not pressured quarterbacks as well as they did last year. That's because they got two defensive tackles and a defensive end that are planning the NFL. One of them there in Kansas City. That was really, really good. So it's not quite the same on defenses. It was a year ago, but it's still pretty good. And if you look at Texas, they did be Ohio State and that is as impressive a win as anyone has in the game. They have a lot of loss and sacks and things like that. They don't run the ball very effectively. The passing

efficiency is lower than Oklahoma is. So it'll be an interesting game coming up next Saturday. Yeah, I keep seeing this graphic people put out there like the stats of archmaning and John Matier in there like basically identical. You know, just one of them wins games and the other one has devastating turnovers. You know, that's the problem. You can turn the ball over. They run the ball back to the six yard line or something. That's the biggest problem, I think, with Matier in the offense, but they're sticking with him, right? I mean, that's just what it's going to be. Yeah, I think they're sticking with him this week. There's more reps for the backups than there have been. And I don't think that they make any kind of a change until after the Texas game because you know how big that is and how much that means. And then if Matier was to win and they'll come off once with somehow to score enough points to be Texas, then I think that this changes everything going forward for Ohio. They're still kind of the same place that they would have been last year. Two losses. They get a long road to go and the SEC after that, but I think that would quell all of the the newvers for change. I and Matier has had two really bad games

with turnovers. And to me, just doesn't look competent, but I do think he's the best quarterback that OU has. They just need to get him to play better. On the flip side, things started out horribly for Oklahoma State to start the year. And all of a sudden, they beat organ and they're three in one. I mean, they're also off this week, but they got to be feeling really good and still water about the new higher and the way everything's going. Yeah, they're feeling great. And a big road win at West Virginia last week and Drew Mestermaker and the Cowboys offense is up there and almost all of the categories in the top 10 in the country. And their defense has played better than I thought. Even against Tulsa, I thought their defense wasn't bad. Ethan was Lasky, he was a linebacker at North Texas last year's making a ton of tackles. And they're getting good play upfront on the defensive line, which is something that Oklahoma State hasn't had in a while. So I don't know if I could say they're going to win most of the rest of their games, but I think that they've got a shot to win them all. You just have to go out and play well and not get hit by the turnover bug. And then we had Eric Morris on the show earlier in the week.

And asked him to explain what happened in Tulsa. And he said, really, I don't know. He said, but I watch that film every week to make sure that I know that that's our football team at one point in time. And that's how we can play. I try to avoid that every game in the rest of the year. Yeah, minus four in turn over to get you beat against Damner or anybody. I mean, that's just how that's going to go. You know, you sit there and look at the schedule. Houston's going to be a tough one on the road in a couple of weeks. They are going to tech. But I mean, they got to be thinking they could be part of the big 12 championship game talk. Come December. No, be right. You know you talk. The tech game is in still water. So I think that's a lot of that. Yeah, that helps them some. I mean, the Houston game, I think is huge. I think it's a big team that also feels like it's probably in the hunt for the big 12, although they blocked that tech. But if you can go down there and win, I think that that keeps the momentum going forward. They do have to play Kansas State. That'll be a tough game later on in the season. So it's not the big 12. You know how it is. It's very, very balanced. So a lot of it depends on the schedule, but they get a break by not having to face Utah or BYU.

Yeah, it's an off week for you. Are you going down to Dallas next week? Yes, of course. I wouldn't miss that. It's always an interesting time and it's hard to predict what's going to happen in that game. Well, I'll let you know this as a as a sooner grad. My son is getting married next Saturday during the the game. So he's not a football fan. That'll tell you know, well, I'll let you know this though, Rodgers. It's about a six minute ceremony. So we'll be just fine. But maybe that'll be good news. Maybe that'll be good news and something good will happen while the ceremony is going down. Appreciate your time, man. You bet. He taught. The streets of Philadelphia. Moving on from the Sad Oklahoma Sooner fans to the Sad Phillies fans, Sad Eagles fans, whatever you want to call them up in Philadelphia, eight time chander joins us from Fox 29 and the odd shopper dot com. What do we make from the Phillies lose that game last night in Atlanta? I know, listen, you want to win them all you want to go to the world series and all that stuff. Was this a monstrous discipline for Philadelphia because the season started poorly. They ended up getting hot. How do you characterize what this was for Philly?

Yeah, and let me just say we don't get sad here. Yeah, man, right? Like what we are with the season. There are only two left. It's basically summer and winter and then some perversion of the other two. So that that's it. We don't get sad. We just demand everybody gets fired. Something along those lines. So when I look at what happened, I think the worst part about it, is that we just we had our hopes up. Game two brought everybody back. I mean, it is the old cliche. I keep trying to get out and he's bringing me back in, right? I mean, that's what happens with the Phillies. Every single spark, every single moment, which you saw pulse this year was was preceded by one of these just drop offs. It was one of these stretches where they couldn't hit or they couldn't get quality pitching. And I think the worst part about all of this is, yeah, the Braves are a better baseball team. But my goodness, the managerial mispractice, a malpractice for both, God mountingly, what he did with these guys once they finally made the postseason.

And Dave Dunn-Browski, not doing anything to avoid being in this position. Four starters on short rest is not a recipe to beat anybody. You couldn't beat the Rockies in a series like that. So are there going to be changes in either one of those jobs? This is it. Like, what can you do right now if you're the Philadelphia Phillies? Let's talk through it. You can just clear house in the front office immediately. I would do that. Dave Dunn-Browski does not return if it's up to me. Why would he? They haven't want to play off series in three years. He spent a ton of money and he didn't do anything this year when they had an opportunity to. So the only thing that he's here now is to undo the damage that he was the one to cause. I hate that. Get out of this while you can. Don Mattingley, look, all the same baseball player, Donnie baseball. We all remember what he did with the Yankees, but he is no manager. At least not here in the Philadelphia Phillies. The inability to control arms and arm fatigue being a massive issue.

He's got to go too. But then you start to look around. It's Luis, you know, Luis Raya's and Alex Bome. I really the two big names that you're moving on from. Everybody else, Gwerber, Turner, Turner. My goodness, Harper, my goodness. These are massive contracts that they're under. Yeah, you can't do anything about that in baseball. I mean, that's just the assigned to deals. You got the guys on it. You know, Mattingley's got chances. I can't believe the Browse. I mean, these guys just stick around for every like 70 years old. It's insane. It's truly insane. I totally agree with you. I mean, it's such a small, small circle when you get to the upper echelon of these professional sports teams. That you're right. They just think, have these nine lives and you're like, why? Yeah, I mean, you got to go find the next hot shot, whatever. All right. Now let's move on. We'll talk a little football here. What happened on Monday night? What a mess for the Eagles. Yeah. I suppose there's a lot of angry fans in Philadelphia with that one right now. Yeah, this is where this is where it really gets angry. This is where you look and say, oh, okay, you had a week to prepare for a guy in case Keanu moves

out of the league, you know, two years would have you. But it's not that. It's not just the outrage of, oh my goodness, they lost to a third string quarterback. They should have known. They should have known. Keanu is there to teach the offense. This is not some guy who is holding on to a third string job, right? The starter from Louis University, Louisiana, and Monroe or what have you. Just holding on to a third string job in the NFL. This is basically a coach. So the fact that he was able to step in and do what he did, there shouldn't be anybody who would look surprised on the Eagle side because they should have prepared for that. Here's the reality. Dick Fangio. That's the big Fangio game. He had a chance to put his staple on the season and get all over that offense instead. Ben Johnson outcoached him and had, as we saw, Keanu gets the ball out as fast as humanly possible. What do you think Matthew Safer and the Rams are going to do? Are there anybody else moving forward? The book is out, Jalen Carter, no pressure with the rip. So that's the issue right now.

What are you going to do when you can't get any pressure on quarterback? Your personnel is awful. And then on offense, it's the offensive line. I could keep going and going and going. There's so many problems with this team. So the Rams are coming in. The Rams are one and two. They've been kind of a mess this year. Phillies 1, 2 games are both very close against maybe not great teams. Are you not expecting good things on Sunday here with the Rams coming in? Yeah, I think the concern right now is outside of traveling after a game in Denver. I don't see where the edges for Philadelphia. They have massive issues on both sides of the ball. No Devonte Smith. Let's look at that. Right? And who can accrue a trending towards playing? So you've got some pretty big players outside of the quarterback position that are either going to play for the Rams or not for the Philadelphia Eagles. I talked about this this morning on Fox 29. The Eagles are in desperate need of a get right games. Don't think the Rams in that record is a get right scenario. The only thing that works in their favor is the record of teams following Denver.

The fact that they had a trip to Australia already with the Rams. So maybe the travel starts to catch up with them. But I don't think the Eagles have enough to close a game out. I mean, you're watching that game and the Eagles are up 2013 with eight minutes left to go in the fourth quarter. I can promise you nobody in this city is looking around thinking, yeah, we got this thing locked up. Well, it's always fun in Philadelphia, even though you get angry with it. It's always thrilling to watch and I know chiefs fans don't like Philadelphia right now. So a lot of chiefs fans were happy on Monday night, but that's just how it goes. It's been fun. Thank you for your time. Have a good week anytime. Anytime, brother. You too. Thanks. All right. It's a fact. It's the greatest city in the history of mankind. Discovered by the Germans in 1904. They named it. San Diego. We're not going to say what they named it. San Diego after Ben Fletcher joins us now to talk a little San Diego from 101.5 KGB San Diego. Padres got it done against the Cubs.

How are we feeling out in San Diego about the prospects against the Brewer is coming up? Man, have you ever seen a better Colton field environment for a wild car series? I know. I don't know. But I do. It's a great thing. I feel like there's a good energy around this team. It comes into the post season that maybe you had a weird first half of the season and then all of the sudden they turn things on. The Padres played their best baseball at the end of the year. That's all you can ever ask. the game. And then we were going to be in the game for dead. 103 games into the season when they were 50 and 53 and everything is working right now. The interbow guards who has been a disaster signing with the team was maybe their best offensive player during the wild card series. Michael King damn there's no hitter in game one. Everything is coming up after his right now. I don't hope it's the ghost to Peter side there or if all the pieces

are just finally coming together. But the excitement is crazy. What the city is doing right now. And they did a nice job against the brewers and swept the series at home in in August lost him a couple times before. But what how do you break this series down? Well, ultimately the brewers have in my opinion the best picture in baseball right now in Jacob Mizorowski. The dudes in absolute study. He's going to win the Saiyung in the National League and the pod grades offense is just going to do something like I kind of feel like game one is a pod raise loss, right? If you can figure out a way to steal the game to when you have your ace Michael King back on the mound, bring it back to San Diego where again the home field advantage is just going to get in your head. It just happened to the Cubs. I think it will happen to the brewers too, who is best player. Correct me if I'm wrong is 22 year old Jackson, Juryo who hasn't really been there done that yet. I think the pod is have a pretty good chance that it just feels like the world is telling us that it's going to be podry dodgers in the NLCS and made the best man win. Yeah, don't remind

us about the Mizorowski. You know, he grew up about it's 10 miles from where I'm setting right now. So in the frozen grab that's just how it goes sometimes you never know when someone's going to be a star or not. He is something to watch. So I haven't looked that part of the had the pod raise face him this year. They did. Actually the one game they won in Milwaukee with a game straight from the Rowsky. Not that they got it in off him. It was they got the possible paid after he left. Well, that's I mean, that's enough, right? If you if you win a game when he starts, that's a bonus in a half for sure. That atmosphere that's what it does look great. And we look around. I think some of these cities get kind of bored with it. There were a lot of empty seats in Houston, a lot empty seats in Atlanta. They've all kind of been there. Done that there in the podras have been the postseason, but I think the fact that perhaps the charges aren't there. I mean, the Padres are the team now, right? That's what the city loves, but they all kind of rally around. You said there's a real spirit for this team right now and that can maybe be a run and a run and a half in one of these games in that

atmosphere, right? I expect Milwaukee's going to be wild too for sure. Look, my wife's family is from Wisconsin. These people are fired up to it's going to be rocket there. I feel like that is the beauty of this NLDS is that you have two teams who haven't necessarily had the postseason success. That a Houston has had that a lot fans will have had. It's very fresh and I love that about major league baseball when you get to the point like this. Here's the thing I'll push back on what you said. I don't necessarily get has anything to do with the charges leaving talent. Okay. Of course, that's part of it, but I do think that Padres fans have been here, have always been here. There's just a simple matter of the fact that the team gave you nothing to cheer for about what a year since the Tony Gwinde's where the Jack Murphy Stadium, the old Murphy mission Valley was filled to the gills for a 1998 World Series run. And then it was just a couple decades of not great ownership since Peter Seidler took over that organization and God rest his soul. The fan base has been there since someone was willing to spend a little bit of money on this team. The fan base was

there. I really think in sports you get in what you put in and when an ownership group decides liking Kansas City, so really goes all in around the Kansas City Chief. The fan base gets stronger when the Padres ownership finally decided to go all in and believe in the fan base. The fan base reciprocated that action. So it's been really, really special. And from when I first moved this end to go to now, there's been three ownership changes with the Padres and it looks like the current ownership group who just took over for the sidelers are looking to keep that going and I certainly hope they do because you can't replicate how special this is and that would make it more special giving the first world series and team history. Yeah, that would be something that we're talking about in Fletcher in San Diego. Are you staying away from San Diego States football team? What is the deal? Why are the mumps on the San Diego State football team? It's crazy. So I've done the pregame show for San Diego State football the last four years and I love the program. I really do. I really like Sean Lewis and what he's been able to do in the last four years. He's been there. He took a team that won three

games his first year, one nine games his second year. This year has gotten off to a terrible start and there's no way to hide it. It has been left jab, right cross, punch in the yards like everything that can go wrong has gone wrong to start the year, including like normal injuries. Right? You remember like strained April. Yeah, hurt. Yeah. Like that's happening with the Diego State and the compound all of that. All of a sudden there's a lot of people who are in the game. I'm not freaking mumps outbreak, which I thought had been cured for generations. I guess not. So now going into this week. Some of the stories I've heard from practices are that they have defensive players lining up the tight end in practices. Who knows you may see a defensive player playing tight in because every tight end they have on the roster is either doubtful or out for this game on Saturday. It's crazy what's happening. I don't know what to do. In my case, I'm not going to really make that a good game. I'm not getting it. I really do, but maybe this is one of those opportunities where

case key them has to start a random game for you in the NFL, he goes out there and shows out. Maybe this is the replacement stepping up like a piano Reeves movie, maybe case kingdoms got eligibility. You never know and caused football these days. He actually played six years at Houston. He probably doesn't have any other ability. All right, well, you stay safe. Don't get the mumps. Okay, Ben? I know. Yeah. I'm going to do a three in from the parking lot and then jet back to the studio. That's that's not going to be a thing. Exactly right, man. Have a good weekend. You do. It does feel like LA just moving up the coast. Sarah the Pete Fox with K L O S and the Dodgers are finally going to get themselves into playoff action. They've got to sit around a little bit. You heard that San Diego talk down there. They're fired up. Are we looking for a pod raised Dodgers world or NLCS? Is that something that you're going to be going to be a good weekend? Yeah, it feels like the Dodger fans are confident, you know, against the pod raise after the recent past and you know,

doesn't take a lot for a pod raise fans to get excited has been described. You know, they they think they're world beaters, you know, after a couple of wins and look, they have been playing really well and they beat the Dodgers to out of the three towards the end of the season in a series where the Dodgers had literally nothing to play for. And unfortunately for this Dodger team, they've been kind of playing for the last year and they've been playing for the last two days when they need to and when you know, low leverage games, they just don't really show up. So you can't take too much from that spirit. But I'm sure pod fans are already getting their rings fitted because of that three game series and they're like, Oh, you know, I talked to a friend just yesterday. And he was like after watching this club series friend of Liz and San Diego. I believe they can't be beat. Everybody. So they have nothing else to be excited about down there. I get it as you just pointed out the Aztecs are got awful. By the way, that sounded a lot like the Chargers description of what

happening with them. Well, no months with the chargers yet, though, right? Right. Exactly. That's the only difference. No months. But they got nothing else down there to really get, you know, to jump on the bandwagon for it. So I get it. They put all of their eggs in this basket and they get extremely fired up. So it's definitely something that is out there from the standpoint that, you know, last year, similar situation, the Dodgers got the Brewers and the NLCS. Who were the best team in baseball record wise and the Dodgers swept them. I mean, it was take walks for them. So I feel like people in this area are like, yeah, the Brewers, yeah, they're great during the regular season. But when it comes to the playoffs, you know, they don't pose a threat. They're not going to get the real threat. And I feel like the Padres are maybe potentially, you know, feeling that emotion as you were just going to push them over and then bring on the Dodgers kind of a

thing. But look, for the Dodger fans, they got to get past in Atlanta and they're definitely not looking past that series because much like the series against the Padres towards the end of the season. Dodgers got swept by the braves in Atlanta in the mid-20s. They were not going through the season. They were not going through the season. But that was a really bad month for them. They had a bunch of injuries. Will Smith had not returned. They, you know, show hey was kind of still going through what he's going through now. And you know, the month of August for them was a 500 month. So they were not good in August. So it's going to be a really good series. I still give the nod to the Dodgers pitching staff. The Dodgers are going to have to get the nod to the season. So they have only gotten better. The bullpen definitely has its question marks. So that is a point of worry for Dodger fans for sure. And then when you look at the offense, you know, show

you, Tony's an absolute question mark. Freddie Freeman was, you know, allegedly dealing with some stuff down the stretch as far as a little knee injury. Kyle Tucker was awful all season and then got to the ball. He was like, you know, he's a good guy. So he's kind of picked right up where he left off. Mookie Betz has gotten hot. Max Monty's gotten hot. So you know, they're definitely trending in the right direction. And it feels like this is a team based on experiences built for postseason baseball. We're talking to Pete Fox and L. A and the NFL teams haven't been doing all that great out there. They're once been doing. Yeah. And he has been doing a lot of things. So you know, what kind of experience can you put your finger on anything with this? Well, yeah, it's a lot of things for sure. But the biggest thing is that they have not figured out the Mike McDaniel offense. He and Justin Herbert are not even

close to being on the same page. And then you throw in a couple of injuries like David Nijoku going to the top of the game. It's massive, but that's a big thing for them because I don't know that a lot of people would have sought this going into the season, but we kind of looked at it and said it feels like Nijoku is going to be the number one guy like he's the most experienced guy in the receivers room. Even though he's tied in, it feels like he's going to be just in Herbert's safety blanket when things get tough. He played in the game. He's got hurt and is out for four weeks. So from there, nobody has stepped up into that number one position. So ultimately, it really does feel like the chargers do not have a number one. Lad McConkey is great, but he's not a number one. So there's just nobody that is like, hey, on the guy throw me the damn ball, right? There's just not that guy. And I think that's

another big part of it. So you could, you know, we could spend a half an hour talking about all of the other things that are wrong. The good news is the defense has been there. They have done their job five turnovers last week against the bills turned into just 10 point, which is unforgivable. Like that just can't happen. So, you know, the defense has got to keep doing what they have been doing and you just have to wonder at what point in time that they start to become a little bit of a mutiny where they're like, hey, we're doing our job. When are you guys going to pick up the slack? Like the offense is so atrocious, so inferior, so inept that the defense, their patience is going to grow thin really, really fast. But, you know, they're staying all the right things. They're staying positive. Yada, Yada, blah, blah, which, you know, for me, means absolutely nothing. You know, it's all the proof is in the pudding. You need to go see them perform on the field. You need to see them execute. Well, the recipe to fix it all is to go to Seattle, right? An angry the champions. That's that's a good way to fix it. I don't know.

I mean, I'm not going to say that. I mean, yeah, look, they got nowhere to go, but up. You know, the sea ox coming off of a loss are probably going to be fired up. They're going to come out and, you know, want to get back on track. And they have like the top defense in the league. Almost every category except one. And that one category, they're like six. So their defense is stout to say the least. So I'm not feeling good about the way things are going to go for the chargers on Sunday. Rams kind of similar to that. There was a mess out there in Australia. I think they got one stolen from them a little bit up here in in Denver, but not easy for them. They're going across country again. A couple of road games in a row that schedule makers have not been good to the Rams. They're going to be facing an Eagles team. That's not very happy. What do you think about where the Rams are and what they can still get out of this season? It's, I know it's very early. Yeah, they're that's an interesting one. I didn't watch that. Broncos game. And it was the tail of two halves. And they did have some calls to go against them, but they really

fell apart in the second half. They played great in the first half. Maybe they thought it was over and the game was in the bag. And they just let down in the second half. But the Denver defense was there. They were playing hard and looked there no joke. We know that the Denver defense is for real. And they showed up and played their hearts out in the second half. And got back into that game scoring 30 points. That's the heck of a second half. And the defense had a lot to do with it. So it feels like missing. Foucait, Akua has really, really affected them. And they're running game to me. Again, I don't cover them. I cover the chargers. I don't pay as much attention to them, but just watching that one game. It felt like their running game was not a cornerstone for their attack. It didn't feel like they had a lot of answers to that tough defense. So obviously, you know, standardized football. I get to run the ball to throw the ball. And they seem to struggle running the ball a little bit in that game. So it feels like they're a lot closer to getting back on track than the chargers are for sure.

Well, something's got to give for those teams out in Los Angeles. You can't just have sunshine. You got to have winning football as well, Pete. Can't have it all, I guess. Thanks, buddy. Have a good weekend. No problem. You too. Take care. All right, the Lafeta, Delicateson, end of the hour answer. 12 years ago today, the Kansas City star. Front page said, Salvation. Celebrating the Royals first postseason win in 29 years. Who was the losing picture? I said it right away. Didn't you did? It was Jason. Future Royal. Future Royal Jason. Jason Hamill. Yeah. That thing was on TV in the lobby. Yeah. I don't know what it was on. It was on because it was the day of the anniversary of the game. So they were going back and replaying. Those TVs don't always work up there. I walk out and goes, is that that game? Yeah. It was one of the wildest couple of days. The combination of, oh, yeah, because the Monday night. Monday night game. The way Tom Brady was dead was over. It was done. It was done. The one four Super Bowls after that. It is right. You want including that year.

But that night was so. The history was a combination of the what lay behind it. By the way, I can't believe that's 12 years ago. I know the combination of what lay behind it. And how that game went to after salvage that game twice and get that win. And then what came what came after it. I mean, it's a night that really there will there will never be another baseball game in this town. Like that. Like that game that. No, I was crazy. It was so nuts. We those two days I had gone out. There was some availability on the Monday for the postseason that they just have some kind of availability and. And like John Lester talked right. You know, whatever. So we're not there and got those days. And I didn't leave because I'm like it's Monday night football crowds coming in. So I just hung out in the parking lot. Some friends of mine from high school were tailgate. I went by and saw them and we went up there and the chiefs just. Boat raised. The Patriots and they had to put Jimmy Garoppolo in.

I mean, it's just like what a crazy night. And then all the hype for the game and everyone was so excited. I had him in a playoff game and forever. And I remember before we didn't have we had. Press overflow seats. So it was the stadium club. The stadium club still existed. So for that game, they put us in the stadium club, which is where the craft and brew is now. It was an enclosed thing. Oh, wow. So Seren had a pass for that game. And I had a pass and I had initially gone down. To this. Bluma was in a suite down the club level side. I'm like, ah, let's go see. Bluma walked down there. Brandon Moss hit a rocket in the first time I killed. Boy, this sucks. This game is going well. What a. But this was and I make my way over. And so I'm sitting there with Seren. We're at these little like high top tables and Goldberg and Monty were sitting there right in front of us. And they were scoring. They weren't doing the game, but you know, they're there. And we're sitting there watching. I remember when they brought Ventura in.

And we were all first guessing. There's five to at that point. What are we doing here? This is kind of. You're forcing the hand. I remember Ned had had worked it out to where he would be available to some pitch seminnings. And it was almost like you just wanted to do this. So you're doing it. And once again, just a and we were setting in the stadium club. There was no doubt what was happening with that shot. I mean, he hit it and you just have that view like, ah, boy, then that stadium went. I mean, just just emptied all the air out of it. And I told the story of the air before Monty had his big scorebook. And in the they kind of custom make these scorebooks form because it's got, you know, they can write the things down, starting pictures. And in the top right corner, it said next game. That way you're doing a game. You can always go the next game coming up. It's in Chicago, whatever. And after hit that home run, I was hitting. He wrote next game. Surprise Arizona. And we were just kind of like, oh, wow. And then everyone's like, as Ned getting fired, what do you get? You know, seriously, we talk about like how one plate can change something.

Like Ned Yoast was fired at 830 that night. It was over. And then just a little chip away. And then the game make the world series. You know, all the thing, you know, to come back and tie it and then lose the lead again. They have a former. Alberto high S bow collapse. So put it on you and then to be able to come back and win that way. And the name that gets we remember his name because we talk about this element of it. The name that gets forgotten among all the heroes of 2014 is who Josh willing and Josh willing. Last, it bad of his life. Last, it bad of his major league career. He dumps a single in the right field. Pinch hitting four. Pinch hitting four mic moustaches. Mike moustaches. Mike moustaches. His career was so desperate at that point. Yeah. They pinch hit for him. And then he got new life and started hitting home runs. He changed his career.

The very next game they played. He hit one in extra inning. Yes. And in a high and then Eric Cosmer followed the next day. Those extra innings. I mean, like the season was on the line with Jason. Nick's was up hitting. Yeah. How are they going to have anything happen here? Because they had done so many, you know, Billy was out of the game. He had been pinched run for and all this stuff. And I remember sitting there going, and by then we moved down. I was standing in the back of the press box. We didn't have a seat. I'm standing there. I'm like, is the season really on the line with Jason Nick's hitting? Jason Nick wasn't on this team a month ago. And now Jason Nick's hitting just an absolutely insane like night. And the other side that I've told this story before too, my kids were in high school. And I'd gotten tickets that day for them. And this was, they weren't emailed tickets. This wasn't you just send the email. And I'm like, I don't know, one o'clock, found some tickets. And I'm like, I called. And I'm like, you guys wanted to go to the game.

And my son's like, yes, I want to go to the game. But I'm also like, he's 16. Now he's 17. But I mean, are you capable of driving to the stadium with this crew? Yeah. You know, so I'm like, I don't know about this. I don't know about this. So my buddy was going to go to the game. I called him. I said, can my kids ride with you to the game? And he's like, absolutely. I'll take the kids. So he had younger kids. So they had a big enough vehicle. They had my kids, his wife and his two little kids. And they were setting somewhere else. So I went and found my kids before the game. I said, there you go. Here's your tickets. Go inside. Have fun. Mr. Johnson. My buddy. I said, here's his number. When he asked to go home, you have to go home. Yeah. I got to stay and work. It's a school night. It's a Tuesday night. I got to stay and work. So I mean, you know, who knows when it's taking it? So Brandon Moss hits home run. You know, text comes from Mr. Johnson. Hey, we're heading out. They had to go meet each other.

I'm the first one. The second one. The second one. So it's like 52, I think. So then and now it's late. I mean, these games took forever. Yeah. And seven, three and the eighth. While they're walking to the car, they start hearing some roars, you know, because the roars start kind of coming back. And then my son's like, text, yeah, I could probably find the text. I don't delete text. It's getting noisy in there. What's going on? And I'm like, don't worry. Omar just struck out. They're still losing. Go home. And then they score the run. La la la la la. My daughter will still tell you she was there. She was not there. She's convinced herself. She stayed for the game. Outing. Oh, no, I've told on them before, but they didn't get to go. They weren't there for the whole thing. They were there for the game, but they weren't there for the whole thing. Fast forward. The next year. Found some tickets. Game one of the World Series. Same thing. You drive to the game with Mr. Johnson. And they said, well, here's the deal. We can't leave it no matter what.

We'll stay for an extra hour after the game, whatever. That game lasted. How long? 14 hours. 14. Yeah. So they were there. Stay for the whole thing. Because Mr. Johnson stayed for the whole game too. So they got to see both those things, but that wild card when was unbelievable. And just the little things that happened during the game that I still remember it's 12 years. I specifically remember money writing down spring training. Surprise. Next game. We were just actively like Ned's toast. Guys fired. Josh willing him last swing of his life. What about the roster? I don't think he was on the roster for the next thing. But yeah, in a little blooper, you know, a power hitting guy. The duck snort just reached out and popped it down the line. Fair by like two feet, you know, just like crazy. And the photograph of the two. By the way, air cosmos triple is a home run with the fence is pulled in the day. Absolutely a home run. But the shot of the two a's outfielders.

Suspitous and whoever else and whoever was the other one kind of crashing into the wall was. Who can't do the royals? I mean, it's like so. And then Josh Johnson almost got the thing. He's with the blue jays the next years. So many things. I thought it was great. I noticed I remember this after they won the penitent and 15. I remember thinking. I look I look back and saw. Within an hour. So I saw a clip of last year. I thought all beat them. So I thought it was a shot of the two Josh Donaldson had consecutive seasons and with ground balls. To the third to the third base one he that got past him. And one that he hit. Yep. That was that was snagged by Mike Mustafa. How are you not playing on the line? How does Salvi had a pitch? It's a foot outside the down line of him. And I'll post it on Twitter. There's a shot of him taken from down the left field line of him and the catcher. And Dan whoever they ran on him all night looking down the line and the umpire was again in the line of that. But you cannot believe that is the follow through on one of the greatest you know most important hits.

And he says leaning down. You're like, what is the what are they looking at in the middle of this game? Oh, that's actually a swing. Yeah, well, I mean, I'm got it a bat and a couple of other games later. His last hit of his life was that one. Save the season. Pretty good one. Pinch hitting for moose. Like moose had been sit down that year and all that stuff and he was just not hitting. Can you imagine like your your your guy named it was lefty lefty, I think, but it's like you're not pinch hitting for one of your best players, but he wasn't one of their best players. At that point, he's insane. It would become one of those even vote was on that A's team. Catcher in the field. That's right. And what's he do now? Just managing a plane. You have teams that's all. So many things like the handles ended up coming to the Royals, you know, just like the names. And so many guys played and there was no pitch clock back then and at win extra innings. I think took for freaking ever. Do little they just stole his bases off him. He ended up getting a world series with the natural. Yeah, what's an actual net? He ended up getting one very entertaining guy.

John Lester couldn't throw over. I mean, just like crazy. That little. What a fight. I noticed there was a graphic. That's what we were talking about San Diego. I mean, Royals, playoff games, every one of them felt insane. Yeah. No empty seats. There is some real like sense of apathy in some of these towns because if you go all the time, it's a lot of playoff games. It's a whole lot of games because it's not one NFL game. You're, you know, you're going five, six, seven, eight, ten games in a year. Those games were wild. Every game at home was insane. And that little pocket of those two seasons is really remarkable because someone posted a graphic of every team in baseball and how many division titles they've had in the wild card era. And I think I noticed was that the Cleveland had 16 division titles. Here it is. M.O.B. division winners is 95. Guardians, 14 division titles, no world championships.

Royals, one division title, one world championship. You know, they made it count. And then someone reminded me. It was raining just early. Marlins, no division titles, two world championships, which is incredible that they won both times as a wild card. Yeah, the Royals were, you know, a couple of pitches away from winning at that year without being a division champion. And the, in the terms of the history of baseball, the Royals basically had 15 minutes. Oh, yeah. And they, they got to 49.95% of what you could have gotten out of those 15 minutes. It really is. Four hour and 45 minute baseball. And the way, if the rest of the, you know, the next five or six years or however many years plays out similar to what the years have since then. I mean, there's a, the next generation is going to look at those two years ago. How in the hell did that happen? Wild stuff. I saw this other weird graphic. Someone had taken every franchise in hockey, basketball, NFL, and Major League Baseball. And teams that had won five games in a row.

And teams that had not won five games in a row. Oh, yeah. I did see that. There was only one. There's only one. Steve Kyle hasn't seen this. There's only one team in all of those sports that hasn't won five games in a row. In the last, however many years it was. I can't remember how many years it was. It was that. 30 years or something like that. One team. Talking regular season. Regular season. Regular season. They haven't won five games in a row. Now, listen, in baseball, it's pretty easy to win five games in a row. It's hard to do it in some other sports. I'll let you know right now. It's not baseball. The Sacramento Kings. Cleveland Browns. I've not won five games. I should have known. They had this graphics. Got every team bunched up in this circle and it's got the rounds. I have not won five. I can't remember what the parameters of the game were. The graphics said like. Yes, and no. Has your team won five games in a row at any point in the last. So many years and everyone has circled. Then there's one. No, that's that's Jay Kuda. I know that account. Yeah, he's good. Yeah. Cleveland Browns. Well, listen, it's hard to win these games.

It's hard to do it. Cleveland has not won five in a row yet, but now they've won three in a row. They can get themselves on the yes part of that circle if they can win two more. Give you one more. Jay Kuda also posted. Number of white socks, posties and series wins by year since 1703. Well, it's a bunch of zeros. Yes. And there's this year. There's 2005 one in one in 06, one in 17, one in a bunch in 19, three in 05, and then one in 26. They don't count 19, 19 just because they cheated. They didn't win. They lost the series out here. They threw it. Yeah, oh, the series wins. They won some games. Yeah, series wins. Okay, series wins. Okay. That was a nine game series, you recall. Yeah, I just love that they backed a 1703. Well, you could go back to, you know, zero. Right. You could go back to year zero. Yeah, we did. That's amazing that they've had the chumps a couple weeks ago. I'm like, there just been so few seasons when Chicago won Cleveland has made the playoffs.

Right. The royals haven't made enough playoffs, but they've only been around for 60 years, not 130 years. One more fun historical stat in the side of the break. One more coming before we get to five o'clock and tell you what you need. You know, you kind of need to know what Curtis is going to say next. That's not really. Welcome back into the program. Todd Liebow, Inferno, in Petro. We've still got Kevin Harlan coming up. We got high school football after that tonight. Full slate of good college football things going. We got J.O.X. tomorrow. We'll get you into that Iowa Ohio State game as well after that. So over we got all kinds of chief stuff for you happening on Sunday. But right now Curtis says he got another tidbit. I do. In the history of baseball, there've only been two possible world series rematches that could have taken place in the postseason, but before the world series, because it would require a team to change league. Change league. Yeah, both of now happen. The 2011 NLCS Cardinals and Brewers was a world series rematch. Right. And I didn't realize this until. The night that the series ended.

White Sox and Astros was a rematch to the 2005 world series. So both of now happen. Could be interesting. The winner of the world series also won the rematch. I'm glad you didn't bring that up from Danny was here. He didn't like to talk about the 2005. He did. White Sox. There. Closest sweep in history of baseball. Was it like four or five run differential in that series? White Sox won them all. Yeah, the one one game and extras. It was a really good series, but it was a sweep. Made Danny said it did. You know what he said and said though? Let's just cheat and win one of these. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They didn't cheat did they? Yeah, actually they did. I think they might have cheated against the Dodgers. It's okay. I think they might have. While Kevin Harlow is coming up next hour and we'll tell you what you need to know. All right. How long is the longest winning streak ever in the Chiefs Raider series? Brompt to you by LaFeta, Delicate Teston.
