Welcome back to your daily practice. Wherever you are in your day or night and whatever demands, noise or subtle pressure you've been navigating, give yourself permission to pause right here. Inner peace isn't something you have to travel far to find nor is it something reserved only for quiet retreats. Through inner peace is an innate capacity already inside you. A calm, unshakable state your mind enters. When you stop striving and allow your nervous system to rest, you don't

need to force your thoughts to stop right now. For the next 10 minutes, your only commitment is to step back, unclench and let peace meet you exactly as you are. Let's begin by settling into a comfortable, grounded posture. If you are sitting in a chair, place both feet flat on the floor. If you are lying down, let your spine rest long and supported. Allow your eyes to softly close or keep a relaxed, downcast gaze toward the ground.

Unclench your jaw, leaving a small space between your upper and lower teeth. Without any tension across your forehead, drop your shoulders away from your ears, letting your arms rest heavy and loose in your lap or by your side. Take a slow deep breath in through your nose, expanding your belly and lower ribs and let it out softly through your mouth with a long, satisfying sigh.

Again, deep inhale, drawing in fresh, coming hair. Exhale fully, letting your whole physical body sink into the surface beneath you. Feel the solid, steady contact of the ground holding you up. You are safe, you are supported, you are right here in this present moment.

Now, bring your breathing back to a smooth natural rhythm and through the nose, gently out through the nose. When we live in a fast paced world, our awareness gets pulled outward in a hundred directions at once. We react to notifications, deadlines and continuous thoughts, keeping our brain in a state of quiet alert.

To cultivate inner peace, we shift our awareness inward using a simple physical anchor. Bring your full attention to the physical sensation of your breath moving through your body. Feel the gentle rise of your chest and abdomen as you inhale and the soft, settling fall as you exhale. With every breath out, imagine dialing down the external noise of the world.

Inhale, quiet space, exhale, tension and friction. If a busy thought tries to grab your attention, simply observe it without judgment. Tell yourself quietly, I see you, but right now I am returning to my peace. Now, imagine your mind is like a vast deep ocean.

On the surface, there may be choppy waves, busy thoughts, daily stress and emotional fluctuations. When we lack inner peace, it's usually because we are trying to fight those waves on the surface. But you cannot calm the ocean by slapping the water. Imagine diving five feet below the surface.

Down here beneath the waves, the water is still calm and quiet. The waves are still moving far above you, but down here they cannot shake you. You are resting in the deep stillness beneath the noise. Silently say to yourself, I am not the turbulent waves on the surface.

I am the deep quiet peace underneath. Notice how much lighter your chest and head feel when you stop struggling against life's momentum. And anchor yourself in that deeper stillness. Inhale deep, steady calm, exhale friction and effort.

Gently begin to bring your awareness back to your physical environment. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Feel the texture of the fabric or surface supporting you. When you feel ready, slowly open your eyes. Notice the quiet peace present in your mind and body right now compared to 10 minutes ago.

You haven't changed your outer world, but you have restored the inner sanctuary you bring to it. Carry this calm, steady presence into whatever you choose to do next.
