Honey, what are you listening to? Mom! Your team might not share everything with you, but teens share everything with each other, and certain everyday behaviors like sharing food, drinks, or kisses could mean sharing bacteria that can cause meningococcal disease known as meningitis. Although meningitis is uncommon, about one in ten who develop it will die. Ask your teens doctor about missing meningitis vaccinations. Learn more at meningitis.com. Vaccination may not protect all recipients, sponsored by GSK. This is Nightline. Tonight, Sydney, don't die, please. Sydney Swini breaks the internet. The new ad that has someone's social media calling fouls. Sydney Swini is setting woman back, and no, you cannot change my mind about it. Isn't it somewhat counterintuitive for women to go against women? Thank you, nurse Brooks. Prove it. Are you a four-year star earning a spot along some of the most controversial ads from Kate Moss in her Calvin Klein?

Why don't you push him down a little bit? No. I don't think so. To Kim Kardashian, seductive, Carlos Jr. Feast. And while the best things in life are messy? Did it cross a line? Plus Oasis. The brothers from the Brit Mega Band known for its hits like Wonder Woman. And for their sibling rivalry. It's the wild one, it's the calm one, it's the right to this, the sing it. Dale Arawl looked inside the volatile relationship caught on Hidden Cam. I just don't see myself on stage with Liam. I just don't see it. Well, fans get the one moment they've been waiting decades for. And dancing with the stars is back. Television's biggest ballroom challenge is on. Who went home on night one? From ABC News headquarters in New York, this is Nightline. Good evening, thank you for joining us.

Tonight Hollywood hit girl, Sydney Swini, back on blast. Caught in another controversy involving a provocative campaign. They think something to question whether it's just an ad like many we've seen before. Or if it's gone too far. Sydney Swini is setting woman back and know you cannot change my mind about it. Thank you, no sports. Sydney Swini, two footballs and not much else. Enough to send the internet into a friends. You see one of the most famous actresses in the world completely wiping away all the work that you have done to be taken seriously. The Scannally Clad ad with over 60 milgen views in just five days is for the sports bedding app Novic, which Swini is part owner. We're saying a lot of female athletes come out speaking against it, saying that it really derails all of the progression that a lot of elite female athletes have had and pursued to be seen as professional and as superior as their male counterparts are. Jim Miss Gracie Kramer throwing Shea hit Swini posting this video to Instagram saying,

this is what a woman in sports looks like over her gravity, defying moves. Olympic water polo player Tilly Kerns told ABC Australia, Swini's ad is pushing women's progress backwards. The most famous athlete's kind of spend our whole career is trying to rebuttal the idea that we are a lot more than obviously just our bodies. The responses have been incredibly loud about this ad. Liz Clay, Remasters and Lauren Ryan have all been incredibly loud about what they say feels like a derailment in the face of how far women have had to go in order to be treated equally with regards to compensation and also just having the fan base there for them. Pro-surfer Felicity Pometeer telling CNN the ad is damaging to women. Especially for young females getting into sport for females in sport for females in general, just hyper-sexualized content. We want to be valued for what we can do, not what we look like. ABC is the view-waying.

I think Sydney Swini is allowed to use her sexuality however she wants and female athletes are allowed to be outraged that they're once again being defined by their bodies and not their talents. Others applauding Swini for her boobies. Sydney Swini is one small, talented, fiercely ambitious woman who is playing to her strengths. Days after the ad dropped, Swini posted the images from ESPN magazines The Body Issue of Top Athletes posing new among them Serena Williams and Rob Grunkowski. Swini speaking to Complex Magazine about the campaign, calling it a very simple and playful idea. Sydney Swini has to be aware that when she does something like this ad it's going to create commotions, going to create attention. She knows what her brand is and perhaps right now her brand is a little bit of controversy because that's where we are. This now the first time Swini has found herself in the public's cross-airs. Jans are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like her color, personality,

and even I color. My Jans are blue. It's giving you, Jenis. It's giving white supremacy. I'm uncomfortable watching that and I'm white. I think in the aftermath of what happened last year with the American Eagle ad, Sydney Swini absolutely knows that anything she touches is probably going to have a little bit of a powder keg effect. Swini responded in an interview with People Magazine saying, I don't support the views some people chose to connect to the campaign. Many have assigned motives and labels to me that just aren't true. And that's right. Some of the blowbacks the Novik ad says, campaigns like this set women back. After winning the U.S. Open back in 1972, Billie Jean King put gender pay parity on the map by threatening to boycott the next open and it worked. And in 2022, the U.S. Women's National Soccer team fought in one in equal pay lawsuit in court, getting equal pay with the men's team and a $24 million settlement.

The WNBA has made progress but salary still lagged behind the NBA. So this ad to come at a time when the WNBA is really championing all of the hard work that they've done to be paid better and to be treated with the same professionalism as their milk counterparts feels like a step back in the road of progress. What controversial ads are nothing news? We can even go back to the 90s and look at the Calvin Klein ads which would have broken the internet if the internet existed back then. After those ads were accused of looking like child exploitation, they were voluntarily pulled off the air. Calvin Klein himself later spoke to Newsweek about the ad saying, we made a judgment about the campaign that it was completely misunderstood. In the early 2000s, celebs like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian set the internet on fire with ads for Carl's Jr.

Variety reporting that Sydney Swinney lost over 200,000 Instagram followers due to the backlash against her recent ad. Some say the iron is misfocusing, turning the spotlight at sports betting saying a sexy ad like this might lure young men to the app. Scott Galloway often talks about the dangers to young men on the prof g podcast. I see young men with kind of less structure in their lives who are more prone to addiction. I think six out of seven gambling addicts are men. I think this is a disaster. Sports betting app Draft Kings just featured Nick Jonas in Kevin Hart in an ad. Now that Draft Kings is available on 50 states, we can finally want that road trip. We've always talked about. Yes, we can. I'm talking gang to gang. Studies show that about half of American men between 18 and 49 years old have an active online sports betting account. Jacob Fortinsky, the CEO of Novak speaking to front office sports.

We felt this was a way that was playful and light, but also sort of positioned us as taking sports more seriously and trying to conduct ourselves with responsibility and integrity. With this campaign, winning again, pushing the envelope. I know so isn't it somewhat counterintuitive for women to get against women? Baby, I promise you we're not jealous. I promise you we're not jealous. She absolutely brought a lot of attention to an app that we were not talking about this time last week. We would not be talking about this app if we were not for the Sydney Swini ad. No way, no way. And now we'll look ahead at tomorrow show. We're one on one with Jacqueline Smith. One of the original Charlie Zangels opening up about her emotional last conversation with longtime friends and cast made, Farrah Fossick. She was light, she was funny. And when we come back, inside the sibling rivalry that nearly ended oasis, the diehard fans of the don't look back in anger band, hoping they'll finally bury the hatchet.

Will they get their wish? We don't look back anymore. I heard you say. I knew about investing, but I really didn't know how to go about it. Meet Quarry, a wealthfront client. The ban oasis is known for its sing along Brit pop anthems and for the decades of explosive fights between the pair of brothers who front the group. Liam and Noe Gallagher. A new film offering an unfiltered look inside the long live rivalry in the moment during the ban's last tour that changed everything. Here's ABC's Chris Connolly. A moment millions thought they'd never see oasis back together on the world stage. Singer Liam Gallagher, guitarist songwriter Noel Gallagher, brothers leading the Manchester band that defined 90s Brit pop with anthems like Wonder Woman. And champagne supernova. Supposing one of the decades most provocative questions.

A high that ended with a scorched earth break up in 2009, leaving many to wonder if oasis was done forever. I just don't see myself on stage with Liam. I just don't see it. The way it finished, when acceptable. But shocking fans everywhere. The brothers reuniting last year for a blockbuster world tour. A comeback and a coming together chronicled in a new documentary. Here in London, the Lester Square premiere of Oasis don't look back in anger. It was all smiles on the red carpet. Liam and Noel sharing inside jokes amid the flash photography. All in good humor. It was a leap of faith they wanted the band to not have ended in the way that it did. You've got a chance to change the narrative of the band. The doc going inside the most notorious brother versus brother strife in Rockstar history.

And the sparks that ignited such enduring music. This was a tour that sold out on the basis of a single photograph. That's what we wanted this film to be about. I was asking the question, why, how come this music that hadn't been advertised hadn't been promoted for 16 years had got more popular? The director is Dylan Southern and will Lovelace and producer Steven Knight. It's all captured, loud and proud in this memorably moving documentary about the 2025 Oasis tour and the path back to brotherly love. What we're experiencing is when people watch this movie. You can hear people sobbing almost from like the first 10 minutes. It's about reconciliation, forgiveness, redemption. As Oasis, these charismatic working-class heroes from Manchester spent the 90s as pop music sensations, a top-of-the-British album charts. Thanks to million sellers, definitely maybe. And what's the story, morning glory? But as their popularity soared, so did the drama with A-List companionship, public outbursts.

And sometimes, the brothers add each other's throats. When Oasis shot an MTV unplugged in 1996, Liam begged off with a sore throat, then sat in the audience and reportedly heckled his brother. Shultzo, I was like, what the fuck? At least you could do it with shoulder support. Perhaps it was no surprise that the brothers' Gallagher were spoofed on MTV's popular Claymation comedy Celebrity Deathmatch. Oasis would knock on the door of US stardom but never quite break. Behind the music, years of sibling tension were reaching a breaking point. 2009, a backstage argument would break the band up. Liam and Noelle did not speak for over a decade. Liam used to refer to Noelle as potato, right? That was an extended like, Twitter period for Liam. There's a lot of potato concent. They literally didn't speak for 15 years, brothers. What's going on when brothers don't speak to each other for 15 years?

When living in that environment, the relationships can be burning hot or freezing cold. I think there is that deep understanding from childhood that when it splits, it really splits. Everly brothers, the kinks, dire straits, a lot of bands with brothers that had challenges. Why are these two guys, Liam and Noelle, so fascinating for all of us and have been for more than 30 years now? I just think it's those two characters. There's the world, one there's the calm one, there's the writer, there's the singer. There are sort of archetypes within those people and yet what I think the joy of this is when you find and you hear them speaking, you think that's not who they are actually. As 2025 dawn, it seemed the Gallagher has wanted to prove that point and to change the legacy of Oasis, from one of chaos to triumph. But could these two survive each other? Night, the man who created Peaky Blinders, felt confident of the brothers intentions.

Having spoken to Liam and Noelle, one thing I was very certain of, they had a burning desire to make this work. Yet the situation between the brothers was so potentially volatile, tour rehearsals were filmed with no cameras or crew anywhere in sight. That was a very deliberate choice, you know, and we didn't want to influence what happened in that room. We didn't want to be the people that ruins the reunion of Oasis. We wouldn't be here now if that happened. You know, these are British Irish working class men, blocs and they aren't going to hug, they're not going to high five, there's going to be notis, there's going to be no words even. Stepping on state, an unexpected gesture, spontaneous but intentional, would break something wide open in these devoted fans and perhaps in the hearts of two long estranged brothers. Liam Graham, Noelle's hand and held it aloft and that was the kind of moment that obviously everyone in the audience had been waiting for and couldn't really believe whatever happened. When that wave of emotion happened and when they start playing the music and people,

fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, they spontaneously started weeping and hugging each other and I think Noelle said, I have grossly underestimated what this thing is. What have they had here and grabbed me? I mean it ended up being the iconic moment from the tour. Is that image on the poster? I don't believe that anybody feels the way I feel about you now. Fans across the globe, two young for Oasis's 90's heyday are shown taking the songs into their own lives. Being uplifted by their lyrics, a fitting new legacy for the working class brothers, Bill Rocking the World. Our thanks to Chris, don't look back and anger is in theaters now. When we come back, the moment millions of fans have been waiting for season 35 of Dancing with the Stars. Who with the floor and who with the road?

Finally, the Miraball is spinning and the pressure is on. Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars is back. It's tonight's Night Light. What I'm saying is the highest stage season ever with a two-part premiere kicking it all off. Tonight's competition off with the bang, high-energy matchup. With the male stars digging deep to remember those new moves. This buzzing new season, one of the most cut-throat with the brand new twist. The men and women divided over two nights, with one getting sent home each night. The couple going home is Connor L. and Adele. Get a nearly inside look at this season's lineup. Jitter is an all. I'm dying to perform. I'm just so excited. Interestation is killing me. The worst thing is that I'm planning to do it without tequila. One take, live in front of a studio audience, live in front of a busily into people.

We're gonna bring it. Training for this, typically for most mortals, is challenging. First, I'm having the time of my life. It has been so much fun. But for me, I'm a singles athlete. I'm out there alone. There's super-hersals. It's like any time you feed their else. We're at camera blocking. Watching the 16 couples hit the ballroom floor for the first time. Preparing to show America what they've been cooking up. You guys look super relaxed, ready for this. I like to sit. Team name. Team Maldonter. This is like a pinch-meat moment all the time. Like I just walk around here. I'm like, oh my god, I'm doing this. What's the biggest perk about being paired as a team with another woman? I mean, I think we were a media best friend. There's so many cool things that like, Haley is doing with choreography and everything that no one else can do. And we're sort of leaning into it. My leg screams once the death is dead, but I'm working on it. My knee, my back of my knee is part so bad right now. But also the muscles in my body that I didn't, I've never used.

What my toe is broken. Okay. And currently. Yes, it's wrapped up. And we just dance on it. How it's like you just move forward. What is the best piece of advice he's given you? Um... Ooh. I guess have fun. Yeah. Yeah. Be yourself. I'm just have fun because if you're having fun, that will shine. Yeah. All that prep tonight on Full Display. The women will get their chance to battle on the dance floor tomorrow at APM Eastern, right here on ABC. And that's nightline for this evening. Thanks for the company, America. Good night.
