You want to go defense or you want to talk about the quarterbacks a little bit up to you guys I'd like to actually start with defense. Yes, I'd like to start with this at least The leading tackle for the bears once again Yep Dylan Thiniman. There's always a round of football Listen, he right and right now up to this point in the season He owns the linebacker room Hmm, that's it. So this song. So this is what this is what I say, you know, listen, it's a fun competition. No, okay, whatever

03In the linebacker room if if our lacquer and bricks were still playing All right, in that linebacker room number one, we're We're circling. We're circling that we're circling wagons right now. We're trying to figure this out. We're like hey listen and Dylan Thiniman is coming in as a rookie Kick it that door open like hey fellas Right and when he kicks that door open we're quiet. Hey guys Only a sports game Game four games in a row. Yeah, crazy to me. It's great. That's great. Sorry. However It's been a little nervous right on that front seven linebackers. We we gotta do something and then the defense aligned Getting off lock still yeah, I think If the safety's making plays is being made at the third level or second and third level So that means that we're not making it where we need to have it. But it's apparently got the game ball today. Yeah, yeah, yeah For tackles around the ball one sack one TFL

05He just wasn't around the ball as much as Thiniman no I'll tell you what the defense is improving And that's a good thing two touchdowns in three weeks guys. Yeah, they're taking the ball away still Yeah, unbelievable clip. Yeah, I didn't think they would continue to do that But I think that's been the differences that They're actually taking the ball away and they're making a lot of plays they're playing man And think about today a hundred and fifty seven yards of total offense. They let up manungai had a hundred and forty seven himself So I think that's pretty impressive great job online great job great job by the big hox But the timely blitzes because you know the past rush. It is what it is. Yep. You have to overcome you have to adapt Yep, and that's something Dennis Allen has been able to do so on third down is a big down right They're trying to convert and then timely blitzes right and Austin Booker right jumping up there then get a sack Big time up in Bush so the timely blitzes so Dennis Allen he he gets the MVP the past couple weeks Because what he's been able to do He gets the watch MVP MVP. I mean we do a form and review you do but I feel like he might be the contractor

10Okay Got a form. We got a contractor, but I think we all were concerned about this defense No, we definitely were concerned. Oh, no, that that was no doubt this of the scene the biggest question mark And it's been the biggest question mark these past couple of weeks especially with your number one quarterback out Yeah, defense has got to step up and I think they put the team on their back It hasn't been pretty but in timely situations able to get off the field right they're able to limit them from getting in the end zone And that's something we love to see they were getting off the football field on third down correct That was a big one like I don't even think they converted any third downs in in the first half Yeah, it was it was bad, but it was really bad, but there were a lot of missed opportunities offensively We didn't get the end zone on the on the red zone. We got a punch that Like this you need that much you are told that we are told you are told as a running back you never stop your legs Keep trying keep trying never like stop your legs from triving so it's just you know you you always want to

17To to error on When I go down I want to make sure that I would make sure I was over this line Mm-hmm, you know and and I would whatever they say if they say you know, they don't Ben doesn't want you reaching up reaching out for the line But you can still drive your dog on the line drive your legs until your body goes down across that line And the other thing I always hate is anytime they're in the gun situations on the goal line because you got to go sideways to then go forward And then these offensive linemen are moving sideways and you know on the goal line penetration destroys everything So we're seeing Menunga and Swift getting hit before they even get the ball half the time So I would rather like three tight ends you got three good tight ends that you feel good about blocking Get a Blocking okay, that's right that we feel good about block. I think we'd all agree with that I'm not talking about the hands and all that Of course block I think put it sure we drafted three tight ends that we think can block really well correct Okay, so and then just Getting an extra offensive linemen or Daniel Hardy as a fullback just go downhill behind that and then if you do do a play action

19Right, you're selling the run But there is no need to play action. I mean we can run the ball extremely well Extremely well. We we need to continue to do that especially on the goal line just get under sender Hand that ball off to Menunga and plus Menunga has beginning a lot of carries boy He has been and he's been holding on to the ball clearly Swift has hurt. Yeah, yes Listen, I'm not talking about this one guy that's been holding on to the football Taylor Okay Swift is hurt right now. All right. This ain't gonna hurt this turtour Okay, Swift is hurt right now all right, but 146 yards is What you think about the bonus album that came out the four songs the bonus album. Yeah, the four the I'm sorry, I thought we were talking Taylor He might need to listen to some of that right now I What's up guys, it's Hayley Bailey. Okay, I need to tell you about something

23They got wide open for something he could have checked to real quick just a quick I'm thinking they weren't letting them today because of the concussion and didn't want taking the hits from the side I mean, you know, you still got my nugget right right you nobody's perfect, you know, it's That there are things that we see From the the sky view You know when real time's going on and there's something a directive that's been given to the quarterback and he's coming out there and hey If you see this and this this is what you want to check to but This wasn't talked about in that in that in that in what we're supposed to be looking at you know I don't I don't know but there's there's a variable of things that could have happened during that play that and why he didn't see that or check to it Okay with that that's not I don't think that's the make a break between the Comparison of from week to week what I really like the most is that we took care of business today Absolutely got the win and we should have really blew them out like they were sticking around for way too long

24And it started getting really uncomfortable for a little bit But then we finally kicked it into gear We started running the ball very impressively and then we started to convert in the red zone But what I want to see is this team start extremely fast and I want to see them take advantage of their opportunities in the red zone at all times You know I mean that's what I want to see what you think about special teams today Yeah, yeah, I mean so I kick off courage fine, okay, but kick I need more other return game We need more right anymore other return game and that gets punt and kick off I mean you used a third round pick on a kick returner essentially Correct, yeah, you know like and now you didn't have to punt Now part of that was because you turned the ball over twice and Undowns once So I don't know I don't think it was a terrible game. I also don't think it was a great game correct Yeah, and that's what we're part about this game guys I mean the Bears are minus two in the turnover ratio plus they turned it over on downs once Like you said there. Just kind of hanging around too much the

26And yet they had the ball the time of possession in this game was crazy 42 minutes. Yeah, just 17 on the other end Yeah, I mean, I think they only have what like 39 yards Like total yards of offense in the first half. It's crazy. I mean the total yards was 492 to 157 58 of those yards of the Jets had were on one play the touchdown. Yeah So who is that against the the defense hit a lot of goals they had a lot of goals this week. Yeah They actually hit a lot of goals last week except for one or two I think they might hit all the goals this week. Oh, we might have an April. Yeah, I'm not spoiling it. We'll save it for tomorrow. Okay Yeah, I do want to do a couple of shout outs here. Uh by the way brick by brick after show still coming up and we're done here Uh, but Jerry Azuma you were honored at New Hampshire that had his sweep by the way. I think you know that logo. Yeah. Yeah. It's old school. It's from the 1900s. I though that was it I thought that was a year 19. That's what's about it. It's called there it is 19. Okay

27Yeah Hall of Fame on campus salute. Yeah, it was amazing. That's awesome. It was absolutely amazing. Um I got to see my my family So my father's 91 so he showed up. That's just fantastic. My two kids were there all so so it was just like a real legacy type of thing. So good son and then um a lot of my uh good friends and buddies that I played ball with and yeah People that I hung out with in college and professors and coaches like it was just an absolute good time and it was it was amazing. You were a walk out. Amazing. I was a walk out. Yeah. So was I. So was I. Oh And of course school opened up the stadium. I know that that was crazy. Some wing tea action. Yeah, yeah. They let you in the building So they did. They took a switch. Oh, it's a swing. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Chip Kelly did start from this area right? Exactly. I was talking about the game. Yeah. Yeah.

He's amazing. That's crazy. Yeah. It's a small world. That is a world. It's awesome man. And you guys got the victory too. You got the dog. When just a little bit. I mean, they beat the break softened boys. Yeah. There's no somewhere. When you go to Northwestern, you're already winning. All right. Sure. It's hard to get into Northwest. Yeah. Hard to get into the stamina. Certain schools. Hard to get into. So you're already winning. Even if you're a baller. Oh, that's that's That's that's the ladies. It was funny because they were like we are. And you know the other state. They were like Sorry I don't say sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. That's awesome.
