Music Well, you know, guys, don't you have some KMOX? Few minutes passed for a PM. Special thanks. We're always thankful for you guys to hang for hanging out with us. But today on the 25th anniversary of 9-11 and as I've been saying always a weird show to do, you know, on the radio trying to split the difference between being respectful and compassionate and it's important to remember and commemorate and relive and share. I mean, we are storytellers, right? That's what we do. That's what we've done for hundreds of thousands of years. We tell each other our stories of battles and victories and of defeats and that's kind of what we're doing today.

Um, Rachel and I did the first few miles of the march to the arch this morning. I think we'll probably both do it again because it was so absolutely impressive. I would encourage anyone in the coming years to do that. Do it. Bring your family. Do it with your son. You know, do it with a fellow veteran, a fellow firefighter because there was just something absolutely privileged. Having been someone who's never served, have never worn a uniform to be in the same group as those who have and were literally wearing their full firefighting gear today walking 21 miles, true privilege to spend a few miles with them and to get to know them. Rachel and I interviewed several of the people there. We're going to present that to you at 430 PM, a couple of air traffic controllers who are on the job that morning, a couple of military guys, one who joined because of 911, one who was already in the army reserves and did another 16 years and retired after 911.

And then John, who is a St. Louis city firefighter, who is just incredible. He just everything you had to say was just you listen to John. That'll be at 430. Rachel, what do you want to do? You want to do some headlines? When you some flashback? Let's do headlines. Elon Musk should watch out because the world has a number two richest man and it's Michael Dell Dell computers. He has shoved aside Jeff Bezos and Google co founder Larry Page on his way to the number two spot just behind Elon Musk. Move comes as Dell technology stock it record high of around $555 a share. I don't think of Dell much like Dell used to be everything, you know, like every computer was a Dell. I'm on a Dell right now. So I keep hearing you saying a Dell. The CD wheels is talking about this on a break earlier. The CDC is nearing calling an end to this lettuce born cyclospora outbreak.

So go ahead and have your salad. Let us eat salad. Here's what I understand though. What did you do? How did you stop it? I would like to hear that. Why are you going to keep it from happening again? Is the question. Yes. Why did this happen? Was it really because Elon cut people's jobs whose job it was to make sure lettuce doesn't have poop on it? Is that what it was? Like I think we deserve a full explanation of figured it out. Here's what went wrong. Dave. Here's why you don't have to worry about it in the future. We don't need to play the blame game here. I guess you're right. I mean, I want to be clear. They may have very well explained all of that. I just don't have it in front of me. Yeah. I just know they're saying it's just about over. So have your salad. Meta is launching a paid AI agent to handle every day tasks. So for a fee, you could try their new program called Muse, a personal AI agent app that can book appointments, fill out online forms,

look at updates from Facebook and Instagram and even watch security camera feeds for you. The subscription tiers are priced at $20 and $100 a month. This is based on how much you use it. I'm good. I don't need an AI agent to do any of that. I have enough free time. And I feel like the people who don't have enough free time or maybe paying a human assistant to do those things and make sure that it's getting done properly. That being said, I'm sure we're all using them in about 18 months here. Yeah. I'll be eating my words. Like my best friend is muse or whatever the heck I said its name was the original 1977 star wars and the new star was film star fighter are going to hit I max theaters in 2027. So a new hope is going to be in I max the first quarter select theaters on February 19th to celebrate its 50th anniversary and then later on they're going to do a restored version.

Well, that'll also be shown across select I max film locations. Then three months later, the latest addition to the franchise is going to come to I max that's going to be May 28th 2027 stars Ryan Gosling star fighter. Yeah, that once set in the universe, but it's not connected to the main storyline from what I understand. Is he going to be acting like Ryan Gosling the whole time? I mean, it's what he does. Yeah, I don't think he can do anything else. He's Ryan Gosling and everything that he is the one option. It's the top cruise thing, right? He just be just seven costs. Yeah, yeah, he just that's they write the they put him in there and going, yeah, just be you. So I'm on the outside when I say this, but he's already done several space movies. So it's weird to do a third one. He did first man, then he did the. Yeah, Project Homer. Yeah, I almost said Glen Gary Glen Ross. So far away. Well, Gary Glen Ross in space. Well, they noted space adventure. Yeah, Glen Gary Glen Ross.

I don't like what now you're doing another thing we're in space like you know, I did a stupid thing last night. I used to love Ryan Reynolds and now I just can't stand him for years for lots of reasons. Yeah, but I saw that he had a new movie on Apple and he was a SR 71 Blackbird pilot. I like that was kind of brana. But can it brought I love Kenneth Brown. I'm in within five minutes. I'm like, this is the dumbest thing really. And I didn't finish it. So in fairness, I've not finished the film. But I'm not sure who it's for. Yeah, you know, a good old cold war comedy. But yeah, I was thinking about watching it this weekend, but maybe now I know I shan't it just reminded me how much I dislike him. Yeah, is he is he very couldn't be more. Yeah, it's like opening a bottle of coke. You know what you're going to get. He's definitely the same dude. I think it all started going downhill when he started hanging out with Rob from Always Sunny. And it's the same with Rob. I always really liked him. And then I was like, what are you guys doing hanging out? I don't like the energy.

They made each other worse. Yes, they did. I don't like it. Like me and wheels. They're toxic friends. They should have a friend break up. Please. That's why he renamed himself Rob Mac, which everybody hates. He says it was Ryan Reynolds idea. Ryan Reynolds insisted that he legally changed. He legally changed his name from Rob McElene to Rob Mac. That's upsetting. Nintendo has set a release date for a classic Zelda remake. And they've revealed their first gameplay trailer for the legend of Zelda. Green of time. It's going to launch on the Nintendo switch to on November 5th. Now Andrew, I initially thought this was just going to be a straightforward. It's a green of time. And you can play it on the switch. But they have made some changes. They have a manual jump button, a sprint option for traversing high real high rule field. And then a continuously moving day night cycle that happens even when link is inside town. So it's kind of a huge change from the old version. I love this game. I really enjoyed watching my brother play it whenever I was a little kid. And it's widely considered to be one of the most influential video games ever made. So I'm sure Nintendo is going to make a ton of money.

I cried the whole time. Some of my very favorite memories. I have watched 10,000 hours of link. Like Phoebe and Nick both loved Windwaker and I've been to every corner of that world. I loved it. Yeah, this is it's very special. This is the this year is the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Yeah. Yeah, the first franchise or the first entry was in 1986. So wow. Yeah, very exciting. Speaking of video games, the White House has removed their build the wall video game from the White House website because Tetris posted a warning to them. So last week, the White House had unveiled a series of video games centered on President Trump's agenda. They mirrored popular games like Tetris snake flappy bird. And the Tetris game had players stack bricks to build a wall along the southern border. Damn, we haven't talked about this. I saw that. What do we do?

Tetris pushed back almost immediately saying we were not involved in the creation of the game. And we take copyright infringement very seriously. So White House took that one down. Well, they also did one couple days ago where Donald Trump was linked. Are we still doing build the wall? We've been he's been doing build the wall since 2015. Like build it. Yeah, I'm tired of hearing you talking about it. It's been 11 years. Go build the damn thing. They control Congress, right? They control everything. Go build the ethanol wall. I don't understand. I thought we were done with this. Everyone should donate their $5,000. Yeah, build a wall to foundation so you can finally get this done. I've always viewed that issue as that's just we just want that for campaign material. We don't actually want to do it. Like so many issues. Yeah. So many issues. Okay, one more story for you guys. Andrew Princess Diana's revenge dress is for auction. Yeah, that black off the shoulder little number.

That she wore the night Prince Charles admitted his affair on TV in 1994. It's going to be auctioned in New York on December 9th. It's looking like it's going to go from about $150,000 to $300,000. So get to save and you guys I haven't asked you for much. We will play $5,000 for 150 to 300,000. We'll pledge our $5,000 checks. If I bought it for you, would Megan be wearing it or would it be like in a glass case? I would be wearing it. Okay. I just figured it would end up in the hammock. Andrew's like just in the hammock. Yeah. Yeah. He's as a napkin. That's simple. The hammock. Well, it's the place the seat from the cat. Right. Yeah. I have cat hair on it. No one cat throw up all over it. I mean, I almost bought Vince Vaughn's outfit from wedding crashers. What kind of outfit was it?

You know when they come out to play football and they're dressed like dorks. That outfit was on sale for $1,000. And Maureen just happened to walk up stairs. And she's like, what are you doing? I'm like, I'm doing the greatest thing ever. Guess what honey? I'm getting this for a steal. And she never says no. But that time she's like Dave. Yeah. She's like, why do you want this? And I'm like, just think about it. Friends come on from a barber for barbecue. And I come walking out wearing this. And she's like, yeah, that's not going to happen. Why do you want this always really hurt? That's always a dagger. Vince Vaughn is like six foot nine. It makes it even fun. Makes it even fun. Welcome back to G.S. on KMOX. If you guys weren't with us at the start of the show, Rachel and I did the first few miles of the march to the arch.

This morning they are still going. They have about an hour left, probably maybe a little bit more than that to make it down to the arch ground. There were about double the people who have ever done the march before. So that's great. I will be there next year. I hope you guys will be there next year. It is really something. And I hope you can take part in it. But while we were walking, Rachel and I started talking to our fellow walkers and interviewed six of them. And they're really interesting people with really interesting takes. They were all involved in some way or affected in some great way in their life by 9-11. So I think you'll enjoy it. And we will play that for you in about five or six minutes. Rachel, you want to do a couple flashbacks? Yeah, I mean, obviously the big one is 25 years ago in 2001, as we've been saying all day at 8.46 am and 9.03 am to hijacked planes were crashed into the World Trade Center.

There were two other suicide flights crashed at the Pentagon and the woods of Pennsylvania. A total of 2,792 people died in the World Trade Center attacks. 184 innocent people died in the Pentagon attacks, including those in the plane and 40 died in the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania. I thought it was interesting and appropriate today. They normally do six moments of silence, but they added a seventh for the approximately 9,000 people who have died of 9-11 related illnesses. So, you know, just again, you see the videos from that day, you see what happened, you see the smoke, you see the flames, you see, you know, and then you see the people standing on the rubble for weeks and months and not knowing what they were breathing. Do you remember the dust lady? Yeah, the picture of that woman just covered in dust and I think I think she died at 40 or something like that from cancer that she thought was basically because of what she breathed in.

72 years ago, it was 1954 and the Miss America pageant made its network television debut. Miss California, Leon, Maryweather was crowned the winner and she later played Catwoman in the 1966 movie version of the Batman TV series. I thought I knew everything about Lee Maryweather. I didn't know that. So, Julie Neumar had played Catwoman on the show was already obligated to film a western. So, that's why she was replaced with Leon, Maryweather for the film. 59 years ago, 1967, the Carol Burnett show premiered and ran for 11 seasons at 125 prime time Emmy Awards. 90% of my humor comes from the Carol Burnett. Growing up watching Harvey Cormin and Tim Conway, there's nothing funnier than their clips of them breaking each other. Yeah. I bet this was an influential one today of 55 years ago in 1971, the Tito Jackson and the Jackson 5 cartoon show debuted on ABC featuring the Jackson. And their pets, including two rats named Ray and Charles and a snake named Rosie the Crusher hate to hate the correct arrangement.

I believe that's pronounced Tito. So, I remember that cartoon. I don't thank God. Another television classic 52 years ago in 1974, Little House on the Prairie debuted on TV, starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert. I love how you just give that, give that flashback as if it means nothing to you. I like this. It's just a fact. I don't really care. Some people care. I don't really care. I didn't change my life. Yeah.
