So in a few minutes, we'll call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe get him a second date. But first, Jake, why do you think you're getting ghosted? Well, I think it's because I launched a month's real stick into her drink. On purpose? Yeah. Well, I was trying to catch it in my mouth and yeah, I know sounds childish and silly, but I, you know, I just wanted to make a laugh. And Olivia actually dared me to do it, which you need to know.

3:06So yeah, I tossed it and completely miss my face and it somehow landed right in the middle of her cocktail. Oh, I don't know. Yeah, I mean, there was an actual splash and everything. So it was pretty, yeah. Couldn't avoid that. Did you reach in and take it out? Well, she was laughing. And I think, you know, at that moment, she also maybe realized that, you know, she was on that date with a 12 year old. I bought her another drink and, you know, I thought everything was good. I thought we were covered, but I'm apparently not. Okay. I mean, I shouldn't be the end of the world, especially if she got another drink. But I mean, at least I hope not. Yeah. What did she do while the mozzarella stick was just floating in her beverage? She, yes, she was laughing.

4:06She was laughing. I pulled it out real quick. You know, obviously, what's that happened? I knew I was going to get her a new drink. Okay. But yes, she was laughing to the whole thing. How did the date end? Like did you walk her to her card? Did you get a kiss? There was no kiss. Walked her to her car. And, you know, kind of implied that maybe we could get together again. And she pretty much just kind of said something like, you know, I'll call you or I'll let you know something like that. Some kind of non-committal. Okay. Yeah. So maybe seemed like, yeah, I was sure whatever. That was great. Okay. Jake is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by Olivia. So we're about to call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date. But before we do that, Jake, why don't you refresh our memory on why you think you're getting ghosted? Well, you know, everything was fine. And I basically sounds really silly, but I launched a mozzarella stick into her drink accidentally.

5:10I was, you know, trying to catch it in my mouth and, you know, it's silly. And it missed my face. What right into her cocktail? She was laughing through the whole thing. So I thought she was okay with it. You know, she thought it was pretty silly. And I did buy her another drink. You know, what's that happened? And I thought we were good, but have we heard from her sense? Okay. Well, are you ready for us to call her? Sure. All right. Let's see what happens. Here we go. 6:11But we're calling you today because we do a segment on the radio show called First Date Followup. That's where if you go on a date with somebody and you end up ghosting them, that person can email us to get you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them. So we got an email about you from somebody. Okay. Any idea who would email us? Um, I mean, I can guess one person, but I'm going to wait. See who it is. Okay. So you want to tell you. Okay. Um, his name is Jake. He told us a little bit about your day. He said he really liked you, but you're not getting back to him and he's confused and we're wondering if you'll tell us why you're ghosting Jake. Is that who you were thinking of? Uh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, he, what happened was he incorrectly corrected a Italian waiter on how to pronounce Italian food. What? Why? Yeah. Yeah. That's exactly right. That's what's been, is he Italian?

7:11Did he tell us? Is Jake Italian? Okay. I'm assuming he's not. Okay. He found the American. All right. Like, um, yeah, we went to this Italian restaurant. Um, we were having a good time and he ordered like the entree and we were like, oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Okay. And then the waiter. And James was wrong on the pronunciation. Oh, yeah. I'm pretty sure. Then the waiter explained that his pronunciation, like he was very nice. The waiter was very polite. He explained that his pronunciation wasn't correct. And instead of stopping, Jake told him, well, depends on which region of Italy you're from. The waiter kind of looks at him and he's like, he told him, like, well, I am from Italy.

8:15So the way it was actually from Italy. And you wouldn't have to come. Jake was just like, well, you know, it all depends. And Jake was wrong. He was obviously wrong. And you know, I'll just tell you, it was, it was, it was Niochi. You know, the little potato. Sorry. And he was saying it's good. No key. It's good. No key. So he was arguing with, he was arguing with an Italian waiter that Niochi, which I think that is how it's pronounced. He's actually pronounced Gnoki. The waiter was trying to help him because it's embarrassing. He's known for his own day. He's trying to help him out. And it's like, no, bro, that's not right. Don't, don't call it that. And he's just launching off. Okay. Gnoki though. So why was that such a turn off to you? It's just, it was just so, he was just so loud and wrong and smug about it. It's like, stop it. And I just, and like after a while, we're arguing and it was just feeling like we're

9:16like a little old Mary couple instead of just on a date. I just want to be on a date. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, ew. I think he's like, handle being wrong. Yeah. Okay. Well, thank you for telling us why you're ghosting him. And I will let you know that Jake is actually on the phone and listening. Oh my God. Oh my God. It's Gnoki. Okay. They're different pronunciation from different regions. So you're still arguing that it's Gnoki and not Noki. Yeah. In some regions. Okay. In some regions of the United States. Right. Right. You know, regions of Italy, yeah. Are you Italian? Have you been to Italy? I'm not Italian. I've never been to Italy, but you know, I looked it up. I'm not thinking about it. And I do know that in last year and in Tuscany, it's Gnoki. Yeah. Can you talk to me?

Oh, they do. Tuscany at all of Garden. That's it. You know, I have my reservations at the same time. Up until that point, we did have fun. We were having a good time. Yeah. I'm totally argued with the waiter about it this time. It's great. I'm sure this is going to be fun. Look, I don't want to, you know, I don't want you, you know, I don't want to be similar like I'm a big cheater. Anything but I have seen it. It is that pronunciation. I, you know, I probably shouldn't have argued with the waiter, okay? Okay. Oh, so you're admitting I'm right. Okay.

11:17Okay. Well, what do you think Olivia will go out with Jake again? I might have to bring up a PowerPoint presentation. How are you wrong? How about we just don't have Italian? Maybe we should just like have American food burgers. Let's just have burgers. We could put down burgers. Okay. Are you sure? Have a work. What if I promise not to argue with the waiters? Okay. You know what? I can, I can take that. It was fun. Up until then. Okay. I'm going to have you a good time. So you're going to go. You cannot call them palm freaks. You have to just say French fries and a burger. Can we do that? Okay. I won't call on that. I'll admit, there's, I don't know anything about France. Okay. For a time concerned. Oh, ****. All right.
