About this episode

“I think it was the only archipelago hit to hit number one. Yeah, the whole song is infectious, but the message don't worry. Don't think of it as a polyannish slogan. It's just keep things in perspective today.”From the transcript

For the past 30 years, I've changed my phone message EVERY SINGLE DAY! It's a daily activity, as automatic as brushing my teeth. I actually do 2 unique messages daily: one on my cell phone and one on my landline. The time has come to share them. (Perhaps the time has come to get rid of my landline? 🙂

Don't worry. Be happy. Hey, it's Wednesday in March 11th. Happy 76th birthday to Bobby McFarron. Who sang? Don't worry. Be happy. I think it was the only archipelago hit to hit number one. Pretty impressive. I like the message. Yeah, the whole song is infectious, but the message don't worry. Be happy. Don't think of it as a polyannish slogan. It's just keep things in perspective today. I've heard all sorts of stories today from my private clients in the afternoon, my group in the morning struggles. People have real struggles. People who are working on something who have obstacles. Make sure you're not sad because of minor inconsequential claims. Think of the big picture. If you can find reasons to celebrate and have joy, that's the way to go.

So today, sing along with Bobby. Don't worry. Be happy.
