Al Bayan Radio presents the following lesson from Masjid al-Azhar, Bilmou. Bismillahu alhamdulillah, wa sallatuh wa sallamu ala Rasulillah, wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa manihtada, bihudah, amabah. By dealing with respected brothers and sisters, the scholars of Islam have compiled a number of words of advice that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave towards the end of his life and the words of advice that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave towards the end of his life are considered to be from the most important pieces of advice that were ever given by him and this is understandable since he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was aware that he was close to his death and because he was close to his death, he made sure that whatever words of advice he gave for the Ummah was of the utmost importance.
Some of those words of advice that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave before his death which are of great importance is what came in the Hadith of Jabir ibn Abdullah, alayhi wa sallam said three days before he passed away so this was a word of advice that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave to the companions three days before his passing and what was that word of advice? He said let none of you die except that he has hosnovan in Allah's Zawajal. Let none of you die except that he has good thought about Allah's Zawajal. What a beautiful word of advice right before his death sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
because having good thought about Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is a quality of a mukman and if you pass away having good thought about Allah then you will only find good from Allah as Zawajal and you will not find anything else and Allah as Zawajal himself said that in the Hadith kutsi anna anna vanni abdibi he said subhanahu wa ta'ala i am as my servant thinks of me meaning the way you think and expect of Allah is how you will find Allah as Zawajal towards you. So if you think good about Allah then Allah will give you good but if you think of anna abdibi Allah if you have sort of one wa l-ayyadu billah which is a huge
sin if you have bad thought about Allah bad expectations from Allah you will find that from Allah as Zawajal. Allah says I am as my servant thinks of me. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he gave this great advice right before his death do not let any of you pass away except that he thinks good about his Lord. From the words of advice that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also gave before his death is what was mentioned in the Hadith found in sahih muslim where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam from the final words of advice that he would say was as-salah, as-salah, the prayer, the prayer
fi Allah regarding what your right hand possesses wa takullah fi ima malakat aimanukum. This advice is another golden advice. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam before his death was advising us regarding the most important act of worship my dear brothers and that is the prayer. He would say as-salah, as-salah, the prayer, the prayer meaning look after your prayer, protect your prayer, pray your prayer correctly because the prayer is the greatest action that you can perform in Islam and when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was asked what is the most beloved act to Allah he said as-salah to ala waqtiha the prayer on its time and the prayer is the first thing we get
judged over my dear brothers and sisters as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said if the prayer is good the rest of the actions are good and if the prayer is corrupted the rest of the actions are corrupted and the prayer is what differentiates the Muslim from the disbeliever as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he said ala'adhu al-lady bayna wa bayna hum al-salah, man tarakaha faqad kafar he said the difference between us and others the disbelievers is the prayer whoever abandons has disbelieved and in another Hadith he said bayna al-Mari wa shirkhi tarakaha between a person and shirk and kufar is the abandoning of the prayer for the prayer my dear brothers it is the most important act of worship from the physical acts
that you can perform for Allah Azza wa Jalla for these were two of many great advices that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would give before he passed away so that the Ummah can focus on them and hold on to them and implement them in their life. Barakallah, Feeq Um.
