Family Murder-Suicide Investigated in Queensland

0:00This is Corey, here with your quick two-minute update from Sydney News today. Police in Southeast Queensland are investigating the deaths of a 38-year-old woman and her one-year-old daughter. Their bodies were found in a home in the suburb of Bannockburn near Logan. The grim discovery happened after reports of a man covered in blood who got hit by a car close to a supermarket. Officers went to notify his next of kin and found the victims inside the nearby house. Both the woman and child die from serious injuries caused by an edged weapon. Police believe the three formed a family unit living together and they're looking closely at their relationships. The injured man is in serious condition at a hospital under police guard. A trail of blood led from the home along the footpath to where he was struck. No domestic violence orders were active for the couple and officials say there's no ongoing threat to the public. The home is still a crime scene as detectives seek dash cam footage or tips for anyone nearby. A message from our sponsor supports today's story. When you want calm, do not
