In a world that can feel busy and lonely, how do we find our people? How do we build that village everyone talks about? Your In Good Company is a heartfelt collection of stories celebrating the messy, beautiful, and ordinary ways we show up for each other. Through inspiring essays, each paired with a recipe, it offers practical ways to deepen friendships and foster connection. Because real hospitality isn't about perfection, it's about presence. In Good Good Company is available now wherever books are sold. Life Audio You're listening to everyday prayers with million praying moms where we're dedicated to helping moms pray God's Word for their families in the areas they need at most. I'm your host, Nicolette Bell. Over the last decade, we've helped thousands of moms make prayer a priority for their families. Our mission is to help you do the same. Prayer is not a last resort. It's our first and best response to the challenges of parenting, a partnership for the hearts
of our children that God invites us into. Today's devotion is written by Tara El Cole, author of Abide, 40 Ways to Focus on Jesus Daily. To learn more about Tara or to learn more about how you can get involved in the ministry of million praying moms, visit today's show notes or millionprayingmoms.com. After a quick word from our sponsors, we'll pray together for our children. In a world that tells us to hustle harder and do more, have you ever felt the quiet ache of loneliness? We're told it takes a village to raise a child, but often we're left wondering how to build one when life is already so full. What if your village doesn't require a perfectly clean house or a gourmet meal? What if it's found in simple, sacred moments like sharing takeout on the living room floor or crying with a friend at the top of a hike? Your in good company is a collection of heartfelt stories about what real community looks like.
It's an invitation to redefine hospitality, not as performance but as presence. For every mom craving deeper connection and richer friendships, it reminds us that showing up imperfectly with love is more than enough. These aren't just stories you read, they're stories you live. Find your in good company wherever books are sold. This month on the Salvation Army's weekly podcast, Words of Life, we're wrapping up a series where we've been focused on Christian writers and authors of all kinds. And beginning March 11th, we'll start sharing a testimony where you'll hear from members of a Salvation Army band right after they returned home from a powerful trip and ministry opportunity in South Africa. One of the lasting effects I have of the entire trip was hearing the kids sing back to us. There's a chorus that says, what shall I render to Jehovah for he has done so much for
me and to hear kids who have been abandoned, sing that with every bit of their spirit back to God, I will never forget that. Listen to Words of Life wherever you get your podcasts or visit wordsoflifepodcast.org. Psalm 42 1 through 2. As a dear pants for flowing streams, so my soul, pants for you, O God, my soul longs for God, for the living God, when shall I come and appear before God? Do you struggle to find time to spend with God? Make the Psalmist as your heart long for time to meet with God. This is my desire many days. I long for God that the time is so short, kids wake up early, a full schedule overwhelms me, someone gets sick and I sing into bed at night empty, longing for God. During those times a good devotional can help sustain you when you're sure on time. Devotionals are different from a Bible study because they are short and you can read them
in just a few minutes. I also find devotional helpful when I'm struggling to connect with God on my own. When I read his word and it just doesn't sink in or when I'm so weary I can barely get myself to his feet. Having someone else's thoughts and words to guide helps me to continue to abide and connect deeper with my father when I don't have time for longer study. My favorite right now is hope for the weary mom devotional by Brooke McLaughlin and Stacey Thacker. I have it laying on my kitchen table so if a kid wakes up early or I just have a moment to spend with God, I can still get some good quality time in with thoughts to follow me throughout my day. You can find devotional in many places. Often your local church will have power for today or something similar for free or you can find devotional by browsing your favorite bookstore, whether brick and mortar, online or the U version app. Some of my other favorites right now are those in the Everyday Prayers Prayer Journal series. Today, find a devotional and try it out. You might even have an unread when laying around your home. Whatever devotional you choose, I pray it gives you new insight into God and gives you
a hunger for him as you seek to abide in him daily. Let's pray. Father, may we hunger and thirst for you, the living God and desire to come to you. In Jesus' name, amen. Are you a visual learner?
