Ephesians 6

0:00Welcome to 617. This is for Kingdom Guardians. Recorded at blocks 9, 6, 8, 4, 4, 9. Father I pray that your kingdom will come in that by wielding the sword that is your word, we as loyal guardians would serve you in game ground for your heavenly kingdom. Amen. We are recording a reading of God's word. This is the ESV version of Ephesians 6. Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Honor your father and your mother that may go well with you and that you may live long in the land. Fathers do not provoke your children to anger but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. God's servants obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling with a sincere heart as you would Christ.

1:01Not by the way of I service as people pleases but as bond servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bond servant or is free. Fathers do the same to them and stop your threatening. Knowing that he who is both their master and yours is in heaven and that there is no partiality with him. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil where we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand firm.

2:05Stand therefore having fastened on the belt of truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness and as shoes for your feet having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God, praying at all times in the spirit with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance making supplication for all the saints and also for me. That words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains that I may declare boldly as I ought to speak. So that you may also know how I am and what I am doing, the brother, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord will tell you everything. I have sent him to you for this very purpose that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts.

3:06Peace be with the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and Lord and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible. So Ephesians chapter 6 reads like a battle brief for guardians of the kingdom who want to seek and develop and maintain elite level talent in wielding the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. First, it puts the household information. Then honor parents, fathers trained without crushing, workers serve as unto Christ, masters, treat people as those who share the same Lord, order at home is not the war, however, home is the camp from which we fight the war. Then the real enemy is named. We don't wrestle with flesh and blood. We stand against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers of this present darkness and spiritual

4:08forces of evil in the heavenly places. The day of evil is coming, strength isn't self-generated. We must be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. We must put on the entire armor of God, the whole armor of God, so that after we have done everything we possibly can, we still stand. We need to buckle truth around our waste so we can't be yanked off balanced by lies. We need to wear righteousness over our heart so that accusation cannot pierce. We need to fit our feet with the gospel of peace so we can move, plant, and hold our ground. We need to raise the shield of faith to quench the flaming darts that might be thrown at us and shot at us. We need to put on the helmet of salvation and refuse despair. Then we take hold of the only offensive weapon, the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. An unused sword is useless. It's decorative. In order for the sword to work, we must wield it.

5:11Open the book with focus. Read what it actually says, meditate on the words of our Almighty Father. Study the Bible. All 66 books with veracity. No lazy slogans, no borrowed opinions, no skipping hard lines, no glazing through chapters. Pain until the word is deeply rooted in our mind, in our heart, and in our mouth so that when the scheme arrives, and it will, a swift blow of the sword can extinguish it. Pray in the spirit relentlessly with persistence at all times with alertness and sincerity. That is how the armor stays on and that is how the sword stays sharp. So stand, suit up, train the blade. The fight is on, time is running out and you are required. God bless you.
