EP69: The Snowtown Murders: Bodies in Barrels (Part 2)

In Part 2 of our deep dive into the Snowtown Murders, we delve further into the horrific activities of John Bunting and his gang of "macabre misfits" as their behavior escalated into outrageously sadistic territory. Following the gruesome murders of 11 individuals, we conclude by exploring how Bunting's reign of terror was ultimately brought to an end and how and where the mutilated remains of his victims were discovered. Additionally, Part 2 discusses the fascinating trial that followed multiple arrests, which became one of the most infamous in Australian legal history due to the gruesome nature of the crimes, the profound psychological impact on the public, and the extraordinary level of control and manipulation involved. Please listen with caution, as this episode continues to discuss difficult topics relating to murder, sexual assault, child abuse, homophobia, and self-harm.
