Drink responsibly. Madello, especially Albeer imported by crown imports Chicago Illinois Zach always knew you love it when I throw in the Spanish accent there. I am one I'm one quarter Spanish by the way my grandmother. Grandmother. Her mom was from Spain anyway. All right, so listen. We got a lot to go over this week Florida's coming off of a huge win man. What a what a win. 5228 over then number four Ole Miss the Gators jumped to number eight in the AP rankings this week they play Missouri. I'm Keith Neber that is Zach Albeverde we're both with Gators online. Again, this is the Gators online show presented by Madello Zach. We're going to get to the keys to the game in just a minute then we're going to bring on Missouri today's Kyle Macarady who's going to help us break down the game against Missouri in Columbia this weekend. We're going to talk about a lot of things we've got Denzel Aberdeen to discuss today. We've got there's just a lot going on right now. It's a good time to be a Gator fan. Let's put it that way. Just your general thoughts coming off a last week going into this week and just kind of where you think things are at right now.
It's kind of crazy around gamesville isn't it? It is man. I mean it's an exciting time just for Florida athletics in general. Obviously some some big news with hoops as well this week which we'll get into the Florida football back in the top 10. Headed back on the road for a top 25 matchup. You've got all this national attention people saying Florida's back. Fine bomb loving the Gators. I mean it's there's a lot of love going around right now for Florida and I do believe that you know they put themselves in a position to kind of ride this momentum. But I do think Saturday is key for them for everyone saying hey they're back. You know they're they're rolling but they got to go out and prove it on Saturday. It's I think you know really really established that. Yeah you know the good news is people are talking about Florida across the country. I think it's safe to say Zach. They're probably the talk of college football right now. I think that's I'm just not seeing any other team get this much publicity at this point in time.
I mean that's more than Georgia more than Texas more than Ohio State. I'm not saying Florida is better than those teams. I will see but the amount of attention Florida is getting so this is a new. It presents a new challenge for Zon Jon summer on his staff to keep these guys level and Jon summer all said it earlier this week. That's that's the name of the game and I mean there's. They've got to be humbled every single day or as he said your opponent will humble you and as John point out Florida has only one once in his last four trips to Columbia Missouri. So a big challenge ahead this week and I suspect the Gators at number eight in the country or four know they've already matched last season's win total. Unbelievable. They're two know in the SEC. They're number two in the nation and scoring offense at well over 50 points a game. Zach their number five in total offensive yards per game. So this is a hot offense right now defense showed some signs of improvement. I think last week against Ole Miss quintessential bend but don't break make key plays stop.
Stop drives from becoming touchdowns getting key turnovers. You know that sort of thing and that really allowed Florida to turn a close game competitive game into a blowout. Zach what are your some of your keys to the game this week Missouri three and one overall. Oh and one in the SEC they've got a pretty decent win at a conference I guess at Kansas but then they lost at Mississippi state last week kind of a weird game will get into that little bit. What are some of your keys to the game this Saturday in Columbia Missouri. Yeah obviously you're going on the road this has been a a wonky place for Florida play this will be my first trip to Columbia Missouri so I'm looking forward to that first time ever in the state of Missouri. So for also enough yeah. Yeah hey one of my favorite artists are from St. Louis so looking forward to checking that out and seeing how that that looks but obviously when you look at this game for Florida. Yeah there's you know several keys but I think one of them because you're in a road environment and this is just if you had to take anything that's just not been what you want with this team it's been the penalties and this is a match up where Florida has a lot of advantages position by position the numbers favor them so in a game like this where they appear to be the better team and should win.
Self inflicted wounds are going to be the thing that could hold them back and allow this game to maybe be closer than it should. So I do believe that penalties especially on the offensive side of the ball where you're going to be dealing with crowd noise. And it's just a different dynamic on the road in the SEC I think Florida's got to be mindful of that and avoid penalties and another key for me in this game is the turnover battle. I think that that's obviously something that you want to win every single game but in this match up you know there's a lot of like I said advantages for Florida in the statistical categories one thing that I found interesting is they're actually both tied for 22nd nationally Keith and turnover margin so both of these teams have been really good on that front Florida needs to continue that trend on Saturday and not allowed Mizzou to get. You know take a ways and and not you know and be able to take care of the ball so that they can you have that advantage in this game.
Yeah it's been a stadium where funny things have happened I mean you just think just in back in 2023 Florida lost to Missouri 33 to 31 I think that was the game where the quarterback grandmerts played so well right Zach and then got hurt late in the game. Florida Florida was able to still take the lead but ended up losing 33 to 31 the time before that back in 2021 Florida lost in Columbia 24 to 23 so easily could have won the last two games there but did it win. This is going to be the 23rd straight sell out from Missouri Zach that is a program record. You know for Florida fans that don't know much about this program Missouri does have a history in fact in the 50s and 60s they were far better program than Florida in fact beat Steve Spur in the Florida Gators in the 1966 sugar bowl after Steve's junior season at Florida led that game 20 to nothing in Florida came back and made it 20 to 18. What a one if they were to just kick the extra points that but decided to go for two every time and then the losing by two but so historically and by the way Dan divine was the coach in Missouri back in the 60s he ended up being the coach Zach at Notre Dame in the 70s or one of his not so star players was Rudy Rudiger but again a program that has always been good home by 23rd straight sell out like you said some you know wonky things happen there it's like it's a tough place to play.
But it is a 3 30 starting Florida does have experience Zach of going on the road playing at Auburn earlier this year I think you know we have a lot of people tell us you know it really wasn't the atmosphere Auburn they expected like it wasn't as good and so how much of that had to do a Florida taking the crowd out of the game early and can they do it again obviously Zach I mean that was a big key there that Auburn fans never really not did get to 20 to 20 in that game but it or 17 to 17 it was tied close to half but they never really became that crowd that everybody thought it would be how important is it for Florida to sort of do the same thing this weekend at Missouri. Absolutely Keith I think that a fast start has to happen and that has been happening I think that's one of the big reasons why they obviously got that win at Auburn but even the win against Ole Miss like Florida was up 10 nothing six minutes into the game. Yeah got the got the touchdown drive right out of the gate got the turnover on downs force fumble by Aaron Charles like man what a way to start the game and ignite that crowd and you want to do something like that for the opposite effect you want to take their crowd out of it make the Tigers kind of already feel like you know hope is not on their side and this is a this is a Florida squad that's capable of that right I know that they're down some receivers this week so that's something to watch for you know I do think that.
And not that I have any doubt that they will but I think that this is obviously going to be a key every week but especially on Saturday man these teams are going to just continue to start selling out to stop the run and so it is just critical for Florida and Buster Falker as he will I have no doubt to continue to just find creative ways to get production in the passing game obviously he's going to throw it to skilled receivers but with those guys out you know you're going to really. You know you're going to really lean on I would assume Wilson and singleton you'll probably see a lot of those guys in this game I think it's time for my amazed junior to step up and the tight ends you know they've shown the ability in the passing game to make plays and we haven't seen as much but we definitely seen him from a run blocking standpoint but I think that that's a wrinkle that they could add with him as a pass catcher obviously you know what you got in the mere Jackson and look for the best. I mean that dude made the first reception in the game last Saturday and then last but not least man.
The running backs like you know we've we've seen I think I think maybe Jayden has caught some passes but he still really hasn't been show that's right that's right you know like like he's capable of as as is Duke Clark and things like that so I just think it's so full key for Florida in this game in every game. To always make sure that one they're getting the past protection to be able to do it but then they're making plays in the passing game so that defenses cannot just can on the run and go after Jayden ball to try to stop it because that's part of what's allowed him to be so successful is there's just so much stress that must for Faulkner's putting on defenses with the motions and the shifts and then worrying about all these different weapons and receivers that it's opening up holes for Jayden in the run game. I have an unfortunate thing obviously that Verna Brown's questionable Verna Brown III Bailey Stockton's questionable and Zach we don't know what what the you know we don't know for sure what's going to happen at game time decisions I'm assuming but so you've got Dallas Wilson you know who's a great receiver but Eric singleton's presence what what a stroke of luck.
There's a good fortune that he is now going to be close to 100% we believe according to John Someral Buster Fogger close to 100% against Missouri he you know he was inching back to that last week played the second I played six snaps I know that he went deep three times that one time he he should have caused a forced to pass interference they should have called it a second time he did get a pass interference and a third time you had a 38 yard game the passing interference and the 38 yard game both resulted in touchdown drives for Florida or ended up in being. So you know now you you're giving the defense a little bit more to think about on the deep part of the field and if the safety's eyes have to focus on Eric singleton going deep that's one less set of eyes you would think that could be able to concentrate on the box so you know a misfortune that that Verna Brown and Bailey Stockton are questionable and may or may not go but fortunate that Eric singleton's back how huge is that going to be Zach because I mean that guy can stretch the field now.
Yeah I tell you what man it is on be it's fortunate that they're getting it back but it's also unfortunate we still have not seen unbelievable. I'm believe it's not like it was still not seen the combo of Bernal Brown Dallas Wilson and Eric singleton and when that happens man look out so still looking forward to that but yes fortunately for Florida with brown likely I don't think he's going to play this week I don't know if Bailey Stockton will play either. I think both of those guys will travel but man to have Eric singleton back and like you said close to 100% but enough to go out there and really burn you with the speed you know it's critical that you're going to be able to just plug him in at the Z where Brown has been playing instead of the slot in place of singleton because Brown's got that positional flexibility so now you're you know slide in singleton right into that Z spot obviously you got Dallas at the X. And I'm going to tell you this you ready. I'm going to say watch out for Mike amaze okay I think that if Bailey Stockton cannot go he obviously would be the starting wide receiver in the slot with no BB three but I think both of those guys potentially obviously couldn't go I think Mike amaze would be the guy that they might call on to kind of step up and though they'll need that because like I said it's critical.
For Florida to continue to have production the passing game so that they have to respect that as well as the run. Yeah and Vernal Brown so even if the team knows like we think it's going to be a game time decision I think that you've reported that but even if they knew let's say that he probably wasn't going to play he's a guy you would still take on the road sometimes when a guy's hurt you're not going to take him on the road you only have a certain amount of spots I think it might be 75 right now that you can travel with 72. So you're real limited there so you would still bring a guy like him or Eric Singleton one because maybe they wake up that day and they feel fantastic and they're both smart enough let's say to understand the offense like Eric Singleton hadn't even done any reps the last four weeks but he's so intelligent new the offense so what are we going to go route. That's right they just plug him in so same thing with for now but also the other aspect of that is that Vernal Brown and Eric Singleton the guys you would want on the sideline even if they're not playing because of the energy and enthusiasm they bring they're both leaders they're both encouraging to their team each other that sort of from kickoff to the final whistle trade the biggest moments in football on Koushe America's number one prediction market platform Atlanta is currently trading at 26% to beat Baltimore meaning a $100 trade pays out $365 if they win download Koushe.

All right, let's bring in Kyle. Kyle, let's see, you've told me how to pronounce your last name. And I'm probably still going to butcher it. You work from Missouri today for those that don't know. That's the Missouri site for on three. Kyle McAravy. Did I get it right? You nailed it, which. Well, you did give me the phonetic spell. So you didn't help me out. I'm giving.
I've given. I've given other people that phonetic spelling. And they still don't the right. So I appreciate it. You're maybe the first person who's ever nailed it first try. Well, Kyle, we appreciate you coming on by. We're going to just go all ask one. Zach will go one. We'll keep it rolling. Just, you know, what's the mindset of this Missouri team after last week's loss? A close game. A loss at Mississippi State, which is now ranked 16th, by the way, a good team with Kamala Taylor. But Missouri was really bad in the first quarter in the fourth quarter. But in between, they played pretty well. It was a competitive game. So it's not like they got blown out. And people sorting out or just looking past Missouri. So what's the mindset of the team right now coming off that game? I mean, the biggest things just overall bouncing back. How do you respond after that first loss? You know, it was going to come to some point. There's a lot of really good teams on the zoo schedule this year. So sooner or later, you were going to have to bounce back from a loss. The big thing you mentioned there, that first quarter started pretty slow. Fourth quarter did not play very well. So it's really focusing on how do you make that second and third
quarter production, you know, last throughout the entire game. And that's kind of the biggest thing. Because if they look like they did in the second and third quarter, moving forward, I think they could be a good amount of teams. If they look like they did in the first and the fourth, it's going to be kind of a slog. Got no doubt. Kyle, just as you look at this squad through the first, you know, third of the season, what do you feel like are the strengths and weaknesses of this team? I mean, I think one of the strengths right now is Austin Simmons, just as a passer. He's, he makes throws every single game that make me just say, well, like he's got a lot of arm talent. Now he's also had some decision making issues. We saw that a little bit against Troy, where he seemed like he was just kind of rushed and kind of maybe over anticipating trying to be a little too perfect and not being very good. And then last week, you saw decision making issues in the fourth quarter. That was a lot of but led that fourth quarter to be kind of a struggle offensively was.
He is trying to fit those those same passes that he's making earlier in the game into two types of spots sometimes, or he's just rushing and not quite seeing it. Let's say the weakness right now of the team overall, I mean, there's a combination of the run game just isn't what it was last year because there's no amount hearty. Sure. So there's there's a big switch that the offense has to go through kind of this whole season until he comes back. And then defensively, the secondary has been been a problem. They've been given up a lot of explosive plays. You know, the players and drink with us talk about that. Being communication issues, which does make sense because so much of the secondary is new. There's only really one guy back from last year who played in that Santana banner. But the rest of the guys are also kind of trying to figure each other out along the way and figure out like how they need to communicate how they operate within the system.
Kind of on the fly. I mean, like you have camp, you have spring ball and everything, but nothing really simulates what it looks like during a game until you're in the game. So they're all still just kind of in that figuring it out period. All right. Kyle, one of the important things for Florida this week and it was important last week is at least generate some kind of defensive pressure on the posing quarterback. So Florida wasn't able to get to Trinidad, Chamble is often last week. But when they did, it was significant. Jayden Woods had a strip sack late in the third quarter, which lead to a Florida touchdown. You're talking about a game that was 10, 10 point margin. If Ole Miss scores there, it's three. Instead, it's a 17 point game going in the other direction. So it's going to be key for Florida to try to get some pressure on Austin Simmons this week. Missouri's got one of the best offensive linemen in the country though. Left tackle. Tell us about him and tell us about the Missouri offensive line and how good they've been. Yeah. And Caden Green's a special player. I'd left tackle. I pretty fully expect him at this point to be a first.
At worst, second round pick in the upcoming NFL draft, maybe because positionally, I know a lot of NFL scouts see him shifting back to guard. And just positional value there. Maybe that pushes his stock down a little bit instead of being a tackle. But he's a fantastic. I mean, it's special. Dude's got out of his now third season here. Overall, the line has been very good at pass blocking, which is change from recent seasons, but not so good at the run blocking portion. Again, kind of a big, big flipping and emphasis of the Missouri. Friends as a whole because for so long, just have been like just pound the ball, run it as much as possible, get that outside zone going and let the offensive line go, try to mall some people in the run game. And they're they're not terrible at that. It's not like a the first couple of games are very good.
The last couple of games, the offensive lines been better in run blocking, but it's not a strength of the unit at this point. What is though is past protection. I mean, they've been fantastic in past protection so far. I can't remember the exact number, but I'm pretty sure it's less than five pressures of game for five pressures of game that they're allowing on Austin Simmons at this point. And Florida will have probably a stronger pass rush than they've seen to this point. I think Mississippi State would have been the strongest pass rush they've seen to this point. And I think did get a few extra pressures. They might have got seven or eight on Simmons, I think overall. I don't remember the exact. I'm pretty sure it was right around there. So we'll see how that holds up moving forward as the defensive fronts get stronger and stronger throughout the year, but to this point, the offensive line in past protection specifically has been fantastic. No doubt. Just switching gears real quick. No, what are your thoughts on Eli Drinkwood so far at Missouri and also him being considered
a coaching candidate in some of these recent cycles, especially this last one. I know he was linked to Florida, maybe some other jobs and just in what that dynamic has been like at Missouri, trying to keep him in Columbia. Yeah, you know, what he's been able to do with the program overall across the last, what this is now year seven is pretty impressive, right? Where Mizzou was before he showed up versus where Mizzou is now is a big change. But I think fans around are starting to get. I don't out on him is not the right way to say it because they're not out on him. I think the level has kind of stayed the same now for a couple of years instead of continuing to tick up, which has kind of wrinkled some fans, I guess. But overall, like getting Mizzou to a point where it's consistently fighting for eight wins
a season or more in the special years like 2023 or 2024 when they attend. Top 25 pretty regularly too. Right. Like that's a good spot to be in and then you can work on taking that next step over time. And especially I know there was so much conversation this week about, you know, Drinkwoods against Top 25 teams, Mizzou against Top 25 teams and the records, not good. I mean, the one that's circulating is seven and 20 against Top 25 teams in this time at Mizzou. And I mean, you know, there's just a lot of top 25 games that you play when you're in the SEC. Right. Like I looked in and tried to find context because I get annoyed when stats don't come with context and, you know, seven and 20 for one coach. Well, what's every other coach who knows. And, you know, he's played more top 25 games than basically anybody who's not in the SEC,
but a lower total than most of the teams in the SEC. Right. So he's kind of like that bottom third of the SEC in total games, but that's still more than anyone in any other conference. So I there's just a lot of kind of narrative pushing around him at this point that kind of frustrates me a little bit, not because I'm trying to defend him or anything, just because it kind of seems to only focus on one or two things instead of the building up of the program that he's done across the last six, seven years now. Oh, don't. Yeah. Flore is obviously got one of the more balanced offenses in the country. We hear so much about Jaden Ball in the running game, but, you know, when you look at the passing game, there's 900 plus charge or they can beat you that way too. So for Missouri, give us one or two guys that have to play well this Saturday on defense for Missouri. We're going to the guys that you think we could hear their names a lot. And if we don't, maybe that's a bad thing for Missouri against this offense.
I think one of them at this point is Daden Hopkins. He's a sophomore or really good the past few weeks. And he was not an expected starter, but was an expected or rotational guy, the position coming into the season. Now with a couple of injuries, the two starters at Ed rusher, Dair Smith and Langdekitch and are both questionable going into this week, which means Daden Hopkins is going to get a lot of the focus there. And even when both of those guys were out last week, he put up three and a half sacks against Mississippi State. Like he looks like the type who could turn into a very special player. So I think he's going to have to have a pretty big game if Missouri wants to, you know, really hold Florida's offense at all. Another one I'd say is Nicholas Rodriguez, starting linebacker. He's really piled up the tackle numbers recently, but it hasn't looked incredible. He's missing a lot of tackles. A lot of the
he is getting or assisted. He's not getting a lot on his own. I think if if Mizzou is to, you know, have any chance to stop Jadenbaugh, it's Nicholas Rodriguez and Robert Woodier, the two starting linebackers doing a better job with the missed tackles specifically, which is not an easy task, obviously, against Jadenbaugh. And then Kyle, when you, you know, you mentioned, you know, this obviously this match of, you know, we talked about it when I came on your show, but just just what are your thoughts on this this series so far and what we've seen with some of the Florida strips to Missouri, obviously, their games at the swan have been eventful to say the least and just kind of how that that that leads up into Saturday's matchup. Yeah, I'll start. I'm sorry if I'm kind of cutting in and out a little bit. We've got a storm rolling through here that's kind of affecting my Wi-Fi. This series has, I don't know, it's been
weird, right? Like, it's interesting how much has come out of this series specifically. You know, if you go back far enough to, you know, before obviously this current Florida team and staff, you get the the Star Wars stuff a few years ago, you get the the 2023 matchup with the, you know, Mizzou converting a fourth and 17 to come back and win the game. It's this series has created so many interesting and weird moments that I really enjoy. Like, you know, not not necessarily, not purely from a Mizzou standpoint or anything. I just kind of like the weirdness of it. And I find it fascinating how it's so much has kind of like focused in on this series. And especially now it sounds like, you know, some roles using that 2023 matchup as kind of motivation when Zach, like you talked about on our podcast, really used Florida's past in the first few games
as Asian. So I find that the change there, very interesting too. Zach, that's all I have. Do we want information on a projection of this game or prediction anything like that? Absolutely. I mean, I gave a prediction on his show. So it's only right. Yeah, what do you got here, Kyle? Sure. I don't think I think I gave 38, 32, Florida on my show yesterday. I'm not super confident in my usability to stop the run, especially with the mish tackles. But offensively, I do have some, I guess some hope, hope's probably not the right word. But I do think Mizzou has some room to be able to take advantage of Florida's defense in the passing game. So we'll see, but I'll stick with that 38, 38, 32, I think, Florida.
All right. Well, Kyle, we do our predictions later, but we appreciate you stopping by Missouri today's Kyle McAravy. Good stuff as always. Hope you enjoy the game and take care of Zach up there in Columbia. Okay. Make sure he knows. He's getting out there. You go. Thank you so much, Kyle. We appreciate your time, man. Thanks, buddy. Take care. My day kicks off with a refreshing, sociosinergy drink, then straight to the gym. Pre-game pickup, back home to meal prep, time for my fire session shift. One more Celsius, gotta keep the lights on. When the three alarm hits, I'm ready. Celsius, live fit, go. Grab a cold refreshing Celsius at your local retailer or locate now at Celsius.com. All right. Sorry. As Kyle said, there's a storm rolling through Missouri. Right now, poor guys. He's sitting there hoping he's going to make it through the afternoon while he's doing our show here, make it through the day. All right, Zach, I got to do a quick ad read for a poly market, poly market. All right. So let's get that one up on the screen if you don't
mark it. All right. So as everybody knows, football season is finally here. All right. So let me find this poly market. I had that'll help. And okay, I'm trying, Zach. We got new computers. We got all kinds of new stuff that are so poly market has one big advantage. It's legal and available in all 50 states. Now, meanwhile, it's also incredibly easy to join the revolution. So let me show you right now. There's your Florida Missouri info. Hope everybody can see that. Florida is currently a five and a half point favorite over the Tigers. Now, think back to season when you back the Gators to win the SEC, Florida starts seven to one. Looks like a contender and then everything unravels in late October. I think went through that a few times in the last decade. Unfortunately, now with the traditional sports book, your money's locked up. You can't cash out and you're left hoping for a miracle while watching your ticket lose value. But with poly market, you are in control. You can buy or sell your position at any point reacting to injuries, momentum shifts or breaking news in real time. Ride the swing of momentum and trade your
selections in real time. You have full control at every moment and you won't be locked out, which means you also can buy in at any time. If the market moves in your favor, you can lock in profits. If things start going south, you can get out before it's too late. You're never stuck waiting for the season end. And the fees will look. The sportsbooks are stealing from you. They take around $9 on a $100 win. It's pure theft. But poly market charges one single set. So go to the poly market app where you are playing against other users. Not the house trying to bleed you dry. Poly market is so confident that you'll never go back to the old way they're challenging you. Poly market is giving you a $25 bonus if you use the code below on three. Trading not available in all jurisdictions. Check your local regulations before trading. Restrictions and eligibility requirements apply. Trading is risky. 100% loss can occur. All right, Zachary, we got a lot more to go over, man. A lot more to go over. So
we did our keys to the game. We had Kyle on. What do you want to talk about now? So you're ready to move into some hoops before we do our predictions. Okay, I didn't know what to order you. I keep a notebook here and I'm usually just all over the place. All right, so we're going to do our predictions. And with this act, we're also going to predict our Madello moments too, right? And that will be the idea because we didn't we couldn't do a show that a Zach was stuck in the courthouse all day. So we couldn't very much. We couldn't do a show to do our Madello moments from last week. So we're going to give our we're going to do our predictions on the score, but we're also going to predict the Madello moments this week. So Zach, you got to read the Madello ad first. And then we jump into the predictions there. Okay, I'm going on. I'm going to also add to a a thing for that so that we can let them know that we got our predictions. Why why I'm doing that? What was your what was your Madello moment from this past one? Well, I think the Jaden Woods, I think the Jaden Woods strip sack was just there were a bunch of
big plays. Everybody knows all throw and do Clark any chance I can get, but the I think the Jaden Woods strip sack floor does up 10 late in the third quarter, Mississippi's driving and we're all thinking the same thing. This is going to be a shootout. If they score and there's a driver, Florida doesn't score, it could turn out the wrong way, right? So Jaden Woods gets by the right tackle, dips his shoulder, gets skinny, gets in, knocks the ball loose and it was recovered by Miles Graham, who actually at one point tried to pick it up. It looks like so I'm sure he got sure they got on miles for that, but it's just a great play strip sack, fumble, fumble recovery. So at 31, 21's, Zack Florida then guy now going on and on here, but Florida goes down the field scores to go up 38, 21 and that was the game right there. That was it. There was no back and forth after that. So to me, that was it. What about for you? Yeah, for me, well, there's a lot, but I got to go with the London Montgomeray kick return. I just think that that was a big play. So awesome for him. So awesome for Florida fans to see
special teams not only making plays, but just be clean. There's just been no issues through the first four games, knock on wood. So we'll give our predictions for this Saturday. Before I do that, I want to let everyone know that these Madelo moments are brought to you by Madelo, because college football season is Madelo season and Saturdays are for the gridiron and services, the fight songs, the fans, the rivalry trophies are all better with an ice cold Madelo in your hand. It's not just game day, it's tradition. And for those who keep college football traditions alive, you deserve a Madelo. Madelo is the official beer sponsor of the college football playoff. Drink responsibly. Madelo, especially, I'll be here, imported by Crown imports Chicago, Illinois. Shout out to Chicago. I like putting the Madelo. Yeah, I put the Madelo ad over your head. Yeah, just a beautiful looking at that beer. Hey, do we, we're going to give our game predictions,
but do we also, like we said, do we want to give our Madelo moments, Madelo moments predictions? Okay. So here's what I think is going to happen. I'm with you. I don't think, I don't think Verna Brown is going to play. So that leaves an opportunity for somebody else in the passing game, right? I can't believe I'm saying this. I think Khalil Jackson is going to score a touchdown this week and I think it's going to be an important one. So there you go. That's my Madelo moment prediction. Khalil Jackson, he's been playing a lot of snaps. He's been doing a lot of the dirty work and I think he's going to get rewarded this week. Like you've been saying Missouri's going to have to, they're going to try to look, they're going to try to stop Jayne Bob. They're going to try to make Aaron Fowler when the receivers beat them. We know what single can do. They're going to be a lot of focus on him. We know a Dallas Wilson can do. There's going to be a lot of focus on him. Duke Clark and and Jayne Bob, they're going to have to watch them in the backfield and they're going to have to watch them on wheel routes and things like that. That's going to leave somebody open. It could be a tight end, but it could be Khalil Jackson. So there's my prediction. I've been wrong on all my predictions by the way this year except for one I think,
Vernel Brown. So that's my Madelo moment prediction. What's your Zach? I've been right before. You have been, yeah, I hate to say it. I've been right before and I think I'm going to be right again. But out of respect to John Summeral, the Buster Faulkner, I'm certainly not going to offer any hints. But I think Buster Faulkner reaches in his bag Saturday and pulls out another, I don't know if you would call it a trick play, but I think we are going to see something on Saturday that involves some trickery. And I'm not going to, like I said, I'm not going to give any hints. I will say now that I know I have been told what I what they've been working on. I'm not going to say it. But after the game,
if we see it in our rapid reaction, I will say that that's what it is. And you will know that you heard it here on the Gator's online show. So obviously the opportunity has to present itself for them to be able to run it. But they got something cooking key. Zach, the coolest thing that I can think of right now with Buster Faulkner's offense, or I don't even have the coolest right word, but I thought they had an advantage going to Auburn because they didn't have a lot on tape. They hadn't really shown anything in two weeks. So I thought that was an advantage there. Now I think they have an advantage because they've got a lot on tape. All right, and that plays into Buster Faulkner's hands even more than not having anything on right? Because now you can run different things with different formations, the same play with different blocking schemes. There's so many variations that they can do now off of what they've already done. And he talked a little bit about kind of how the offense continues to evolve each week. So Zach, those are our Madello moment predictions. I hope we're both right.
I thought you were going to say Eric Singleton. I'm not going to lie. Well, well, for all this, well, I'm trying to think outside the box a little bit. There's going to be a lot of pressure, a lot of emphasis. They're going to be watching Eric Singleton. I think that leads to door open for other people. So the tight ends, for instance, you know, so I think that's something. But I also think that, you know, what we just talking about, O'Coleal Jackson, full disclosure, I grew up with his dad. Okay, O'Coleal Jackson, I've been friends since we were out at 11, 12 years old. So I'm pulling on a personal level. I'd like to see Coleal do something. And I think I think the hard work's going to pay off. I think one thing we've seen from the staff's act, I think they reward guys for their work. He's played a lot. That's right. He's out there regularly. He is playing a lot. And I think now's the chance. So if you're an opposing definture thinking, well, hey, you're afraid of this guy. They got that guy, that guy, that guy, and they got this guy that they can hand off to. And they got that tight end. They're thinking about the little Jackson. Now's the time for him to do something. So if I remember,
he did make a pretty big time play at Missouri the last time. You know, as much criticism as he gets, I think he had 22 catches that season. So he's not a terrible player. Never has been. All right. So Zach, now we're going to give our predictions on the game. What do you think? Who do you want to go first? I went first last. You went first. I'll go first system. All right. So here's what I'm thinking. Tough road environment. It is 66,000. Isn't as loud as 90,000. I get it. But it's a tough road environment. 23rd straight sellout. Like I said, school record from Missouri, full disclosure, Zach, my grandfather played from Missouri in the 1920s star player, of course. I now need to add one other fact. We're not blood related. So I didn't get any of those great all-American genes. But did you know that Missouri claims, I think, that they're the school that started homecoming. And this is Missouri's homecoming. That means nothing, obviously. John Somerall said that earlier this week. What does matter is
blocking and tackling. And on the line of scrimmage, Florida's offensive line continues to get a little bit better each week. They've been solid. They've only given up, I think two sacks all season. Florida is running the ball well for 102 yards last week. Number two in the SEC in rushing. Now, like you've said, and I've said, Missouri's going to focus on stopping the run because the belief being that if you can stop the run in the SEC, you're generally going to win more often than that. But here in Files, a smart dude out there. And he's got, with a Verneau Brown, a Bailey Stockton player, they are going to have weapons. They're going to use guys that maybe we're not thinking about like Mike Amay's, like maybe a Khalil Jackson. They've got a couple good pass catching tight ends. Wouldn't be surprised that if they also get the bottle of code into Paris this week who has zero catches from the tight end position this year. That's when you start throwing a guy when people least expected. So I think that the offense of Florida presents so many challenges for Missouri. Also, Florida has been excellent in the kicking game. Maybe they're due for a game that isn't excellent. I don't know. Or maybe they just are excellent, which is what
I tend to think. Jonathan Galante, the special teams coordinator, has those Virginia Tech coaching ties in him. All right. And that's the school. It was always so great and special team. So I think offensive line is going to be a key to this game. They're going to give Falo time to throw. So even if the blocking lanes are difficult at times, they can soften them up with the throw. The runs will come late. And I think the defense can do just enough against Austin Simmons and the Missouri offense. Interesting stat. Aaron Falo is averaging Zach over 10 and a half yards per attempt. That's very good. Austin Simmons has 11 TDs and no interceptions, but he's averaging well under nine yards of attempts. So they're not getting those chunk plays of Florida. Florida, we know, will give up yards, but they generally keep the yards in front of them. Right. So that allows you to hold teams to field goals. So I like Florida in this game, a tough game where I think field goals are going to be important. What I think punting is again going to be important. Where I think kickoff coverage and kickoff could be important. I like Florida 36 to 24. A good hard thought win.
Remember, the only five and a half point favorites. I never, everybody wants to win by 33 points, but there's a reason they're only five and a half point favorites. It's a tough team, tough environment. People still want to see Vegas. I think still wants to see a little bit more from Florida, but I think 36 24. I think people would be happy with that win. A good solid road wind for the Gator's. Second. Yeah, that would be the first time that Florida has been held under 40 points this season. I don't know when that's going to happen. I imagine that at some point, it likely could, but I don't think it's going to be Saturday. And I just, I have underestimated an under predicted Florida scoring every single game this season. They've always scored more than I thought that they were going to score. And I have a feeling that they're going to get in the 40s once again this game. And I just don't know that Missouri can keep up with the Gators. And maybe
they don't, right? Maybe they scored 38, maybe they scored 34, whatever the case may be 37. But I, I just don't know that the Tigers are going to be able to keep pace with the way that Florida's playing right now. Yes, it could be a bit of a bummer to not have Brown and Stockton or one of them. But I still think Florida has has plenty of playmakers at receiver. I think some guys are going to step up this week. And then I think defensively. Yeah, you know, Austin Simmons is talented and Eli Drunkwood has a great system. And I think that they're going to put up some points and make some plays. But I do think that Florida has, you know, gone through somewhat of a gauntlet of either offenses or quarterback, obviously, with what they saw last Saturday against Chameless. And I think they're more than ready to take on Simmons and some of the challenges that the Tigers could present. And I think they're going to score. But I think Florida's going to have the advantage. I'm going to go
42-24. Oh, that's a, that's a big win. That's a big 18 point win. I got to buy 12. I think that's a good road win. Look, the key is they just got to come out of this thing with the win, Zach. Because all of a sudden, what last week did, I mean, look, we're all talking about it. All of a sudden you start thinking, man, what's left? And what are the toughest challenges left? Well, obviously, at Texas and Georgia in Atlanta. But then after that, you could argue that this is the next toughest test or maybe the Kentucky game in November, which is also on the road. And if you start checking off wins like this, you're one step closer to the playoff. You are one step closer to the playoff, and you could potentially lose both the Texas and Georgia games and still make it. Now, I would say that even if Florida somehow lost this game, I think Florida has shown that there's still enough talent to win a game against a Texas or a Georgia who are obviously going to be not taking Florida lightly. But this is a key game because at five in O's at you come home next week against South Carolina,
which looks South Carolina's got Kentucky home this week. South Carolina's dropped a couple straight. They're in that point now where you're almost in wheels coming off stage, right? It always looks the same. I mean, you've got people saying that you go higher, but they're far from there. That's right. That's right. I don't think he's I don't think he'd go there. I think he'd go to North Carolina. I think he'd go to North Carolina. But I don't know about South Carolina. So the point being that South Carolina, they lose the Kentucky at home this week in Columbia, South Carolina. They're going to be sitting at two and three. Man, they'll come out trying to ruin Florida season for a quarter, quarter and a half, and a Florida punch is in the mouth. That'll be it. Right. We've seen this movie a million times. So then you get the off week before you play Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma. So like it's setting up so perfect. Then winning the line, I think they go to Texas and then they then they have the off week. Oh, you're right. You're correct. That Texas and then the off weeks are about that. And then but like I hope I don't pick the wrong flight. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. My mind. Yeah. Look, I'm good for at least three to four gaps. An episode. If it's below three to four, consider yourselves lucky. So my point being though,
that if Florida can win this game, South Carolina right now at least now. Look, they could go out this week and be the team that a lot of people thought they'd be. And then all of a sudden you're you got another game next week and Gainesville. But it's setting up perfectly for Florida to be six Oh before hitting its gauntlet. But the gauntlet initially, Zach looked like it was Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma. And now, Oklahoma's two and two. And maybe the wheels are coming off there too. So all of a sudden the schedule looks so much more manageable. Right. Texas is beautiful. Look, Texas has got two impressive wins on paper. But they're the first to tell you. The writers, the fans, they have really played that well. So they don't know. You know, they don't know. Okay, is it in one great quarter against the house? Is that who they are? Which means they're beatable or if they're not peaked yet, if they haven't peaked yet, then they're going to be a dangerous dangerous team. But they look you're right. They look like if Florida could somehow score 30 plus points at Texas, that's possible. And also, and look, we've seen Florida. Georgia looks great.
Don't get me wrong. Georgia Georgia. You know, the baby Oklahoma and home last week and Oklahoma had four turnovers. But before that, Georgia didn't play it anybody. So we still we still don't know what Georgia is yet. That's not a knock on Georgia by the way. I only picked them to win the SEC. So, but we still don't know. And they haven't been in these too many battles yet. So now they've got some coming up. But so this is such a key game because it Florida wins at boy. Then you're like, we five and no. They go five and two the rest of the way they are in. They are absolutely in. So it is, you know, and then also, it looks like Florida is doing this sack. It looks like they're getting better every week. So it's just there's just a lot going on. But they've got to stay focused. We think they're going to be. And but you can be focused and still have bad luck. It's still have bad things happen. So it's going to be a big game. I mean, anybody you think could surprise people this week? I think you mentioned one, Mike Amaz.
Oh, what's that say that again? Anybody you think we nobody's talking about that maybe somebody to really watch in this game? Maybe somebody on the Florida defense. We're all talking about Jade Woods. Yeah. You know, I first of all, I do think that that's going to continue to happen. Right. You're going to still see guys emerge. Obviously those those playmakers that for to rely on and know that they have an improvement players. They're going to continue to show up. You know, I think a guy that's that that is coming on and I continue to see more of on the field. And I just like I like that for to place them because that tells me that they they don't care about appearances. They don't care about stars or who's supposed to be out there. Like they're going to put the best player out there. And the fact that they are continuing to play Oh, Fanzo Allen, I like. They're obviously some you know, some things that he might be limited in. But the things that he does really well,
especially at the line of scrimmage and entacling and just the presence that he brings. I'm looking for that guy to make some plays like, you know, I think that there's several guys in the second area that are capable. But I think Alfonso Allen is a guy that I want to continue to see for to play. I like that he is in the mix, even though he's a former walk-on who is now on scholarship. But you know how it goes guys like there's just you just sometimes stabs or coaches feeling client to play, you know, the higher recruited guy or whatever the case may be. And the fact that we've continuously seen Alfonso Allen out there along with Laganza Hayward, like they're they're giving these eyes opportunities. And I think that they'll continue to make the most of them. Zach, I'm going to say we'll get into some other stuff soon here. I'm going to say I think Jeremiah McLeod and Emmanuel O. are two guys to watch this week because Jayden Woods for a lot of the game. Now they move them all over the place by the way. I mean, the sack came against the right
tackle last week, not the left tackle. But you know, Missouri's got this great left tackle. So Florida's going to try to do everything they can do to keep that guy occupied. Well that might allow other people to make plays. So John Somarals talked about this pressure up the middle is so significant. Quarterbacks can sort of see it coming from the outside and they can dart around that sometimes. And you obviously can't see it from your blind side and Austin Simmons is a lefty. So but up the middle, that really presents some challenges of it. Of its own. I think Jeremiah McLeod is really becoming a guy that is taking another step forward each and every week. And I wouldn't be surprised he gets a sack and some QB hits and QB pressures in this game. All right, Zach, we both got Florida winning. We've got to do an ad read for my perfect franchise and then we're going to talk a little UF groups. All right, Zach, on Tuesday, you got to spend some time in the courthouse. Would you get pop for? Yeah, my whole life growing up in games will you avoid that court? That's right. We still go over to that side of town and we had some guy bias beer when I was in high school, but I didn't spend much time. You're downtown games for that very reason. So you had to cover a court case. Denzel Aberdeen, big one.
Look, I mean, yeah, I called you that morning. I'm like, Keith, I can't go to the off-nourelite. I knew that there was a chance that it was going to be as big as it was. Well, so you've got this situation where Denzel Aberdeen played in what 12 games is a freshman at Florida and that was over the limit. He's now in his fifth year coming back from Kentucky, where by the way, he scored 13 and a half points game last year. At Florida, it's always felt like he would be able to play. And C.A says, hey, five for five is now an effect. Great news, except for it didn't include the guys in his class for some reason. So there's been court case. There's been litigation all over the country. And that's what this was all about. So give us some details on the Denzel Aberdeen trial or case or whatever you call it. Hearing, ruling, hearing, hearing. I really know my little stuff. Please for the for the love of God. All you Florida fans out there that care about this case that are interested in it.
Go to the Gators Online YouTube channel and you can watch the judges full ruling. You can watch the argument from Aberdeen's lawyer. You can watch the argument from the N.C.A.A. You can watch the rebuttal from Aberdeen's lawyer and then you can watch a highlight video of the best stuff. I spent all that time for you all cutting all that stuff up just so I could better understand it as well. But after I was done with it all, it was it was good to process it because you know how it is Keith, man. Like when you're there covering something game, court case, sometimes it's hard to take in everything. Press conference, like your posting live updates, your taking video, you're trying to ask questions. When you ask questions, you're trying to look to coach and I like there's just so much going on. But going back and being able to put that video together, again, I would encourage you all to watch it, especially if you only watch one video, watch the highlight one, but also watch the judge just get after the N.C.A.A. lawyer.
I mean, I know that there's a lot of people out there that would enjoy seeing the N.C.A. get cooked in court. Well, you can do it on the Gator's online channel because I went in thinking that Aberdeen had a good case and that they're they felt strong about their argument. But to see it laid out in court, to see it argued by an attorney and then to see the N.C.A.A. try to defend its stance with a judge who admittedly, probably one of the more notable moments in the hearing, said, I'm not a sports guy. I'm not a sports guy. He did not know who Denzel Aberdeen was or at least certainly not in the context of following him as a Florida fan. So he did his homework. He obviously knew about a player that had basically the same circumstances as Denzel and then he gave him a waiver. That was another key moment in the hearing. But he also for as much homework as he did, he's not well versed on some of this stuff. So like he learned in real time,
oh man, you guys did this five year legislation and you applied it to incoming freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, but not guys that were gone into their fifth year that are still within their five year window, according to the August first date that you put this in to effect. And you rewind that back five years and there's still guys like Denzel Aberdeen who are not able to take advantage of that they still fall within that window. So that was obviously basically the argument on top of the fact that just the plain text of the five for five legislation that went into the N.C.A.A student athlete manual that they have to abide by. The language in there applies to Aberdeen and that was basically the argument that his lawyer proved and that the judge agreed with and he just I mean the N.C.A.A. got dunked on a couple times in this hearing. It was
a it was a sight to see Keith. All right, so Zach, he was granted. I just want to make sure I get this linger right here. He was granted a temporary injunction, correct? Correct. So what does that mean? Obviously the N.C.A. plans to appeal we think. What does that mean? Right now he's eligible, but what does it mean moving forward? Is it so the reason why it's a temporary injunction and not a mandatory injunction is one, he is not trying to tell the N.C.A.A what to do. And I think he felt like a mandatory injunction kind of does that. But the other reason is because of what you just said, it's going to get challenged in court on appeal. So I think that's the reason it goes as a temporary and then they feel like if this gets challenged, the circuit judge George Wright felt like the merits of this case are going to support Aberdeen and it's going to hold up on appeal. And at that point, if it was appealed and was argued and they won, then at that point it becomes a mandatory
injunction. So that's really the only reason why at least my understanding, I'm not a lawyer, but as the judge kind of because he asked like as a matter of fact, if you go watch Aberdeen's lawyer's video that I put up, he asked him at one point, if I do this, wouldn't I be putting in a mandatory injunction and not a temporary because he did not want to do that. He did not want it to be and then he also said at the end of his ruling, which you can also watch on the Gators Online YouTube channel, he basically said, I am with this ruling, I'm not telling the N.C.A.A what to do. I'm not telling them to change anything. I am telling them to abide by the letter of the law in their contract and in their manual with student athletes that based on the language in there and the plain text, Aberdeen is eligible. So he is basically writing that you need to honor that, but he's not telling them what to do or telling them how to run their organization. I think that's
a key point. Okay, so what everybody wants to know is when do we have any idea when the appeal would be and then I've got another question, Zach. I don't know when the appeal would be if it comes, but I would say this to Florida fans like this is it. There's not going to be some, this is the judge said that there were 37 temporary injunctions that had been granted prior to at the start of Aberdeens hearing. So he was the 38th. So these cases are not going to get litigated. He is good for the season. It was written in the injunction. That's that's a key point. I need to. I want to be my next question. It's written in the injunction that he is protected to play his fifth season. It is written in the injunction that the NCAA cannot penalize Florida and take away championships or games for him having played this fifth season. So that's a that's a key thing and Aberdeens
lawyer wanted that articulated in the in the injunction. So my guess would be that if this does go to appeal that it would happen well after this season, but I mean again, man, let me add this to Keith for anybody that thinks that this was just like a sham and the gators got some local gainsville judge who's a big Florida booster and just gave them the ruling that they wanted. Like that is not what happened here. Go watch the videos and listen to the arguments and it is not good for the NCAA. Like they could not prove their case and Aberdeens lawyer 100% did. And this judge was not a sports guy. Like I said, he was not well versed on some on some of the inner workings of the NCAA's rules and how they legislate different things and to for him to hear the
hypocrisy in real time and look at his facial expressions as he's reacting to some of the answers that the NCAA lawyer gives. It was clear that this is I mean, this is this is a case for Aberdeen that is going to hold up. I don't know what some of the other circumstances of some of these other temporary injunctions look like, but Aberdeens case to me is pretty rock solid. I don't think Florida fans should worry that this is this is going to get reversed. I just got a text from Nancy Grace former court TV reporter. First of all, says you're you're one of the best looking guys she's ever seen on TV. Two, you know your stuff. There you go about that. Jackie. She loves the Gators online show. Zach was a good guy. This is not an important question, but was the attorney for the NCAA was he with Foley and Lardner? Did I see you write that in your? Do you remember that? I know it was the Miss Fowler, but he was a UF grad actually. Yeah, it's interesting because
if it was Foley and Lardner, you know, that's a prominent law firm that I think they've represented in Major League Baseball for years. But within these law firms, there are Florida grads. It's just crazy. It's such a unique role that both of the lawyers were Florida grads and then the judge was a Florida grad. Interesting. Interesting times. Well, all right. So what is this two figure basketball team? Man, there's some dudes coming back. My goodness. Zach, I got to you got to ask, maybe I'll ask you to ask Golden for me. We always hear about teams having a bench of eight players in the NCAA tournament. How the hell is he going to limit this thing to eight players in the NCAA term? They got some real dudes. Don't they? I mean, this is, are they a clear cut number one? They got to be right? I mean, this is huge. Yeah, absolutely. You know, they they they this establishes Florida for sure as not not just the preseason number one, but the national championship favorite. Yes, it adds a little bit more pressure. But man, these these guys are are are ready for it. I do think that that the experience of last year and some of the
anxiety that they felt and just the weight on their shoulders and then the way that they learned to shed that and just play their best basketball. I think that that's really going to help them this year. I think having Denzel Aberdeen back in there to make things a little bit more comfortable versus what the dynamic was like last year with a newcomer and boogie flan and a newcomer and exavially. Now you've got Aberdeen who's going to be very, very comfortable in this offensive with this and with this team and in his teammates. And now you got boogie flan who's found his comfort zone as well. So the starting five is going to be great. The bench is going to be great. Urban Claves are Isaiah Brown, CJ Ingram, like they've got some dudes that could be starting other places that are going to be coming off of the bench for Florida. I think Alex Lloyd is a guy that has a chance to make a big jump as well and provide more production. So I can't wait to see
what it looks like. I think some of these you know other pieces that they brought in from overseas as well are going to be able to contribute to. So we get it's October 1st man and exhibition games are getting ready to get underway and then the season will be here before we know it. Zach do you have any more ad reads? Do you have one more to get? Yeah we got to get Honda in there. That's right. For sure. It's been fun. The more wins the better. So let's keep it going if they can. But Zach any final thoughts before we get going? You ready for this? I mean first time in Missouri man. Have you been? I've been you know yeah obviously like I said I have got the the couple relatives of my grandfather played there. His son who was my stepfather went there. I've driven through it's a beautiful campus. Stone buildings the stadiums sort of in this weird little corner where there's like a four lane road that cuts it that separates it from the rest of the campus. Beautiful place. I think you're going to have a good time. It gets loud. It gets loud. It should be a good one. Again like button below subscribe button below.
