Elijah Wood's Early Role in Paula Abdul's Video

0:00It's April 3rd. This is Entertainment and celebrity news today, AI-powered stories from the spotlight. Elijah Wood just dropped some throwback gems on the Happy Sad Confused podcast while hyping his new flick, Ready or not too, here I come. At 8 years old, he popped up in Paul Ubbels' 1989 music video for Forever Your Girl, directed by none other than David Fincher, who later blew up with hits like Fight Club and Gone Girl. The video straight parodyed Robert Palmer's addicted to Love Clip, swapping grown-up vibes for crew of kids acting all mature while nailing. Choreography from Abdul herself. Wood played this hard-broken office exec, snapping pencils and angst and staring out windows like a boss. He called the whole shoot a chill vibe, with Fincher giving Crystal Clear notes to the young cast. Back then, Abdul was ruling the charts with that massive album, so linking up with her felt huge for the kid. Fast forward, Wood's bumped into Abdul again recently, as she still recalls his stand-out role, which he finds super sweet.

1:02From there, he built a legendary run, owning Frodo in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and stacking 90s faves like Flipper and The Good Sun. Catch Ready or not too, here I come in theaters now, and who knows what other early stories Elijah might unpack next.
