This is Steve Kovino from Kovino and Rich. Quick trivia fellas, every guy listening is contestant. Answer honestly to yourself. You got a belly in a little chest, gasped by the afternoon, no drive left in the tank, you lack that confidence and mental edge. Those are classic signs that your testosterone has been sliding, and nothing drags it down faster than extra weight. So why not take matters into your own hands? Shrup off the weight that tanks your testosterone with Bioma, GLP1 booster. Every serving is packed with science-packed ingredients that crank up your natural GLP1 production. Visit bioma.health slash GLP1 and use code CRShow for 15% off your first order. Here we have our friends in from Elder Care, and we have Michael Kola in here with us today. And also we have Deanna Dodson, Deanna Makin, her second appearance. Hey, dude, how are you like that? Oh, what? Getting out of your comfort zone. Yeah, you're right. So we've got a lot going on. Yeah, first things first. And evening with Clay, I must say.
And evening with Clay, you know, this, this is our second fundraiser. It's that we do every year. And this is the second year we've done this with Clay's self. So Clay is the, he is the artist in a residence at the buzzard bar in Ridgedale, Missouri. So that's, you know, that's at Big Cedar Lodge. He plays there six nights a week. And Clay plays all your favorite country classics. You know, you go verngozed and hangs snow. And then he'll get up into Garth Brooks and Charlie Dank, whatever. He's just such a fun artist to watch. Incredibly talented. So he's getting you excited, getting you on the dance floor. And his personality is second to none. And he will, he's got jokes for days. And it's a fantastic fun, fun evening. And so that is going on. October 23rd starts at 7 p.m.
And we're at the center. Every dollar raised from this event is going to go to just all the essential services that we have at Eldercare. It helps us to cover those costs so that we can do things like in-home and case management and the active center and daybreak, all of those things. It helps us provide these services to the community. So it's going to be catered by the eatery. So, you know, and you never go wrong when you have food coming in from the eatery. They're fantastic. So it's heavy or derves. So if you want to eat a light dinner, come on. Do that and then come have some heavy or derves. And then there's a cash bar as well. So it's going to be a fun, fun evening. We've got sponsorships still available. Just very few of our sponsorships are available. And then tickets are going fast. There are $100 a pop, which you're going to get for $100.
And two and a half hours of great entertainment and supporting the wonderful cause. It's a value. Who's that is? It's a value. Yeah. It's a value. And so you could get tickets two ways. You could call us 918-336-8500. Order tickets right there over the phone. Or you can go to our website, which is www.abouteldercared.org. And then forward slash an evening. So that takes you right to the landing page for an evening with clay. You can click on a button. You can buy a table that will seat you and seven of your friends for $1,000. Or you could buy two, three, four, five, six tickets, whatever you want. But you don't want to miss this opportunity to just have a fun evening on a Friday. I mean, come on, it's fall. The weather's turning. It's going to be wonderful. Put on some boots and get out there and do some scootin and support eldercare. There you go.
Great. Now, I want to go over to, you know, we've got volunteers need to be that chaperone program. I know that people are hearing about the program. But we need folks to actually... Down. We do. We need people. Over. Yeah. I love that. We do. We need drivers for our elder Uber. It's a wonderful program. Helps people get to the doctor that might not have transportation. They might just not have someone to go with them. And we just, we need the volunteers. We're ready to roll. We've got the training ready for the volunteers. So if anyone has a heart to help someone that's older, maybe you know, maybe you used to take your grandpa to the doctor. You know, if you're missing that interaction with someone that's older, is it be a perfect opportunity to sign up? So, yeah, give us a call. Just give a call and ask for you. And then, I got to go, we'll put you in the system, get you all ready to go, trained up. Yeah.
Now, I understand that we have a couple of lessons like what CPR basically? We have CPR and we have two other, couple other classes that just make sure you're ready and how to, what's expected of you and what's not expected. Because there's not medical care. There's no medical care involved. It's just transportation and companionship. Yeah. Wonderful. You know, the transportation side is fantastic. And, you know, that's what we want to help. Because when we were riding this grant, that helps us to fund this program. A big part of it was, if you are over the age of 65, and you miss a doctor's appointment, the percentage chance of you being hospitalized because you've missed a doctor's appointment, it grows exponentially. And so, that's what we're trying to do. We want people to stay happy, healthy at home and we don't want you to miss that appointment.
But the anesthetic keyword that I really love and that's companionship, you know, isolation as you age, really any time in life, can be a very dangerous thing. And so, these volunteers that will, to the elder Uber, I love that, that will be the shaperone. Yeah, Tom, we're gonna trademark that and then we'll give you all the, that's cool. Yeah, you can, we'll give you the phrase, okay, I love it. And so, but that companionship, that community, you know, your family or those who might be able to help you, they live in Oklahoma City, they live in Wichita, they're not here and they can't get here to help you on that day. And so, just some companionship. And that's so much of what we offer at Elder Care is that community and that engagement so that you are avoiding the isolation. And that helps you live that happy, healthy,
independent and active life. So, if you have that heart to help, we really would love to have you call us and be a part of this program, be a volunteer and the time commitment. What was the time commitment on that? It varies, it's really up to the volunteer. Sure. Whatever you can commit to. Sure, we're welcome. As much as literally if you can commit to. Okay, we're flexible too. Yeah. And you get to choose if you don't want to drive to Tulsa, you don't have to. We have honey local appointments. So, it's just, it's strictly up to the volunteer, how much what they can do. We welcome any amount of health. Well, great. Yeah. So, like the doors open. The doors open and we're ready for you. All right, now we're getting, how you like this is the October the 1th? I know. The 1th. And it's getting close to that end of the year thing and there are folks who are kind of looking over things like, mm-hmm. Who can I help?
Yeah. The year is starting to end and wind down. Who can I wind up and help? Yeah. So, yeah, 4th quarter. So in October, if you're 70 and older, 73 and older, there's what they call required mandatory, distributed distributions, which I believe starts at age 73. And then there's qualified charitable distributions, which start at age 70 and a half. And so that's from your IRA or retirement accounts. We are not professionals in financial planning at elder care, but we have some good friends at our best wealth management who are. And so, we are going to have an end of year planning, an end of year educational evening with them. So they're going to come on Thursday, October 29th at 530. And they're going to give a presentation.
And so we're inviting the community to come. If you're trying to figure out, because it can get confusing, everything can be confusing. We've talked about Medicare's confusing, Medicaid's confusing. But when you get to where you've retired and you're trying to figure out what you have to do, what you can and cannot do, RMD, QCD, all these different acronyms, it can be difficult. So we want to help you navigate through that. They will also talk about plan-to-giving. They'll talk about bequests, things like that. And so we would love for people to choose elder care in those moments. You don't have to write us a check to support us, but you could work with Arvest Wealth Management, your financial planner, and say, when the time comes, there could be something going towards this organization. And we would be honored for that to happen. So really the purpose of this event, it's education.
It's education. It's for us to cultivate those relationships with you to help you maybe learn what an organization like Arvest Wealth Management locally has here. So that's what this is about. You're in planning. It's really not just about what you have to do before December 31st. It's what you can do in the long term as well. So we're excited about that. Excited to partner with Arvest Wealth Management and have them come. So again, October 29th. It's a Thursday, 5.30 come. And we're going to just have a great time learning and getting to know each other. And what we could do to help not only elder care, but other organizations that you feel compelled to be a part of. Very good. Very good. Now, sign up on that. You just should. You can just show up for that. OK. I didn't know if we needed an RSVP or an RSVP. I would say you don't need an RSVP.
We will start promoting that via Facebook, via email. But honestly, we're not going to turn anyone away. We do sign ups for a lot of things, like dinner with friends and different classes. And we have people just show up. And we never say, you're not on the list. You can't go past the velvet rope. We say, come on in. We want to. We want to. You can ask us from Dean. It's the bad way. Yeah. She's like, yeah, this way, please. Right. Oh, man. So anyway, once again, folks, community connection, we've been talking with the Adoncene also. We have Michael Kola. And once again, tickets for evening with Clay, where do we go? How do we get them? www.abouteldercare.org forward slash an evening or call us 918-336-8500. And Ms. Dodson, your volunteers for Shaperone program. Just call us at eldercare 918-336-8500. All right. Very good. Hey, thanks for being with me. Thank you, Bay.
