Eagles Trade A.J. Brown to Patriots, Lions in Talks

0:00It's April 21st. This is NFL News Today Football coverage powered by AI. Philadelphia Eagles looks set to trade wide receiver AJ Brown to the New England Patriots right after June 1st. Reports say the deal is pretty much locked in, but nothing's final until it's official. Brown remains one of the top receivers in the league, so expect the Eagles to demand a solid return. Other teams could still jump in and out bid. For instance, there's talk of a proposal from the Detroit Lions that might tempt Philly more. That one would send Brown their way in exchange for a 2027 first round pick, a 2027 second round pick, and cornerback, in his Rekestraw. Brown's been vocal about his unhappiness in Philadelphia, with locker room drama bubbling up. There's even doubt creeping in about quarterback Jalen Hertz among the team. All this tension has General Manager Howie Roseman eyeing a move if the offer hits the right note. The price tag stays high, likely a first rounder, a second rounder, and some defensive depth like Rekestraw.

1:01While the Lions could use his skills, the Patriots top the list of teams desperate for elite receiving help to boost their offense. Deals like this shake up the NFL landscape quick, so stay tuned as these negotiations heat up before the deadline.
