Ducks Stun Oilers in OT, Take 3-1 Series Lead

0:00Duck's fans are buzzing after Ryan Pulling's goal just two minutes and 29 seconds into overtime, sealed a 4-3 win over the Edmonton, Oilers, and Game 4. That victory gives Anaheim a commanding 3-1 series lead, putting Conor McDavid Squad on the edge in the first round. The Duck staged a massive comeback, erasing a two-goal hole early and another deficit in the third period. Jeff Reveal knotted it up with six minutes and 29 seconds left in regulation. While Cutter Gothier and Mike Hale-Granlon lit the lamp on, power plays during the second. This marks Anaheim's first playoff run in eight years, and their rebuilt lineup is shining, dropping 20 goals across the four games. Lucas Dostal stood tall with 24 saves, including a huge sprawling padstop on McDavid's late breakaway that kept the Oilers from stealing it. Pulling sharp angle shot barely snuck under New Oilers' goalie Tristan Jerry Skate, who made 34 stops in his playoff debut.

1:01A long video review confirmed the puck crossed the line, no overturn. Game 5 heads to Edmonton on Tuesday night, where the ducks could close it out and send the back-to-back Western conference champs packing early. That's your update from California News Today, powered by AI.
