It's March 6, here's your Lester News in two minutes. Manor Oak Homes has filed an outline planning application with Harborough District Council to build a drive-through and convenience food store on. Overgrown grassland west of Warwick Road in Kibwarth, Boscham. The site covers 1.27 hectares right at the junction with Wistow Road. Plans call for new vehicle and pedestrian access off Warwick Road plus on-site parking, servicing areas, 12 electric vehicle charging spots, and disabled parking. A footpath would connect at the northeast corner too. The area around Kibwarth has boomed with housing lately. Over the last 20 years, more than 1,000 homes have gone up there and the emerging local plan adds another 475. This land previously got outline approval for mixed commercial, industrial, office, and retail uses within a larger development scheme. Developers say they are in talks with operators and expect to sign deals soon after any approval. Meanwhile, the council has set a target decision date of Friday May 15.
