Dragon Avatars: Dinosaurs, Fallen Angels, Reptilians & The Bone Wars

What if the dinosaurs weren’t just prehistoric animals—but biological vessels for something much older?

In this episode of Free The Rabbits, Joel explores the connections between dinosaurs, the biblical Seraphim, fallen angels and the serpent traditions found throughout the ancient world. We dig into the Hebrew saraph, the Bible’s mysterious “fiery flying serpents,” the strange descriptions of the pre-Eden serpent, and the possibility that certain creatures could have functioned as biological avatars for spiritual beings. Then the rabbit hole takes an unexpected turn into the Bone Wars—the ruthless 19th-century battle between Edward Drinker Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh that helped shape modern paleontology and our understanding of dinosaurs. Their race for fossils was filled with rivalry, questionable tactics, rushed conclusions and infamous reconstruction mistakes. Dragon Avatars Notes

From ancient dragon kingship and reptilian legends to dinosaur fossils and fallen-angel theology, this episode asks one central question:

What exactly were the dragons of the ancient world—and have we been digging up their bones all along?
