It is 10.30 AM on the dot, man, and it's the 30th day of September, 2026. This is episode 1402 of Bitcoin and with me, your host David Bennett bringing you all the news that you can use about Bitcoin and macro from around the world. Today, well, we're going to start with Senator Blumenthal calling Tethers USDT a super highway for Iranian sanctions evasion. Yeah, I smell circle and Jeremy O'Lare behind that. That's how we're going to start it off for the day. Next up is going to be BitGit Stories. Yeah, the whole BitGit debacle. Well, they opened up withdrawals because they got hacked and we're going to talk about how they got hacked and when they knew they got hacked. But they closed down withdrawals, but then they opened them and customers immediately

withdrew 4,000 Bitcoin in one hour. Speaking of the BitGit thing, the whole BitGit hack is been tracked by slow mist and they're tracking it all the way back to August the 31st and a zero day exploit. I'll have more for that on you or for you here in a little bit. Second part to show Morgan Stanley. Morgan Stanley has a digital asset lab. Apparently, they've been doing this for a while. They're testing crypto products on ETF debuts a Euro hedged Bitcoin fund. McDonald's getting into AI. McDonald's the burger place. We'll get into what exactly that means and it's you're not going to like it. I guarantee it. And then open AI gave AI agents their own computers and I don't know what the hell that means.

But we're going to find out that will be the very last story for the show. So let's head to the front and Stephen Graves is writing this one for decrypt US Senator Blumenthal calls tethers usdta super highway for Iranian sanctions evasion. Right. Of 846 cryptocurrency wallets sanctioned or targeted for seizure over links to Iran and its regional proxies 84% transacted exclusively or near exclusively in tethers usdt stablecoin. According to a report released by Senator Richard Blumenthal. Democrat from Connecticut. The report titled quote tethered to terrorism in quote comes from democratic staff on this

Senate permanent subcommittee on investigations where Blumenthal is its ranking member. It draws on blockchain records for wallets design or designated by the treasuries office of foreign asset control and is reals national bureau for counter terror financing between June 2021 and August 2026. The headline figure rest unevenly on the two sets with 87% of the 5757 wallets designated by the Israeli bureau transacting predominantly in usdt against 57% of the 101 designated by the office of financial asset control. Its second findings concern scale. Two sanctioned Iranian oil smugglers moved more than 603 million dollars in usdt between

2021 and 25 through a network that reached hisbola the hoothies and Iranian financial institutions the subcommittee found. It says there is evidence the same network was used to buy and sell drones and other military equipment. Before 2024 the report says tethered did not comprehensively and consistently freeze wallets designated by counter terrorism agencies and in one case. 34.6 million dollars continued to move through sanctioned wallets after they had been designated. It notes that tether has described its compliance with OFAC sanctions as voluntary and says it followed OFAC guidelines a framing the subcommittee contrast with the obligations on banks. It also says Hamas shifted from bitcoin and a mix of tokens toward promoting usdt. Human thought has written to treasury secretary Scott vessent and attorney general Todd Blanche

asking both departments to investigate tether's anti money laundering and sanctions compliance. He argues the administration's oversight of crypto firms has undermined our own national security interest and points to cantor if it's Gerald which owns 5% of tether and holds a large share of its assets noting that the bank was run until recently by commerce secretary Howard Lutnik and is now controlled by his children. The report sites Bloomberg reporting from March that tether lent those children money to buy out their father's stake when he divested upon nomination. The subcommittee wrote to tether in June seeking information on its handling of Iranian sanctioned or transactions. The company confirmed receipt but had not replied by publication. Speaking to CNBC's squawk box on Tuesday, Blumenthal argued the stablecoin was not just a path, it's a super highway not only for the Iranian government sanctions evasions

but for money laundering and trafficking more broadly. Enforcement by treasury and the justice department he said have been none zero. Tether published a statement the same day as Blumenthal's report setting out its cooperation with law enforcement. It said actions involving USDT had frozen roughly $550 million across wallets. US authorities linked to Iran Central Bank during 2026 including more than $344 million in April and over $130 million in July. Across all cases, it puts the total frozen at more than $4.9 billion working with over 340 agencies in 67 countries. Quote, public blockchains provide authorities with a level of visibility into the movement of funds that simply does not exist with cash said tether CEO Palo Ardino.

The statement did not mention the subcommittee or its findings. In May, Finson issued an alert describing Iran's use of stablecoins as including minting and moving between large volume stablecoin issuers while in August, treasury widened its campaign giving itself the power to sanction any foreign person operating in Iran's digital asset sector. Okay, man, I got a sneaky suspicion that Blumenthal is and the Israelis are somehow or another tie to Jeremy Alair and Circle because this looks to me like it's trying to degrade tether's ability to function in the world by assigning it a terrorism nomaker or I get a nomaker, I guess is the way that you pronounce it. Basically tying its name to terrorism in a way that is way more quote unquote official

than anything else. I don't know. There's something about this that smells funky to me like as if Circle isn't being used at all. I don't know, man. I'll bet you if we looked hard enough with, you know, well, if some people that have a little bit more ability to look into things like this more than I do that they would probably find a connection between Blumenthal, the Israeli intelligence forces and Jeremy Alair Circle because they want the stablecoin market and tether is the biggest stablecoin in the world. So the only way to get rid of them at this point is to somehow or another degrade their ability to operate because, you know, they're financing terrorism. They're helping terrorism. Next it'll be tether's being used to traffic children in the sex trade or something like that.

You watch, man. You watch. I guarantee that'll probably happen. Let's move on. Get customers withdrawal over 4000 Bitcoin in one hour following the $388 million hack that Bitcoin was victim of. This is Matthew DeSalvo out of Bitcoin magazine. Let's rock investors withdrew over 4000 Bitcoin were $334 million at today's prices within one hour after hacked. Get get resumed customer withdraws. Bit get CEO Gracie Chintel Bloomberg television on Tuesday that withdraws from the exchange had since stabilized following the immediate Bitcoin transactions because as we all know, as you heard it here on the Bitcoin and podcast hackers last week made away with $388 million in crypto after targeting the Victoria say shells. These exchanges hot wallets quote the withdraws actually stabilized a lot today.

Chint said those hundreds of millions in Bitcoin withdraws actually most of them happened on the first hour after we restarted withdraws in quote in a Monday expo's Chint said that 9,585 orders of 4,900 no 4,098 Bitcoin were processed in the exchanges allowing customers to withdraw funds in phases. Let me pause. They are allowing customers to withdraw their Bitcoin. They are allowing you to take possession of your property. And the only reason they can do that is because it's not your property when you put your Bitcoin on an exchange, it becomes their property. This is why you should get all of your Bitcoin off of an exchange and use something like the Bitbox 02 Nova hardware wallet will get to that in the second part of the show. Bitget froze withdraws after blockchain experts flagged that money was leaving the exchange.

Oh my God. Then Bitget later said the attack method in the incident was highly consistent with known patterns of North Korean hacker organizations. Chint said that none of the cold storage funds were touched, but rather attackers had exploited vulnerabilities from third party products to steal internal credentials, then used those credentials to send fraudulent withdraw commands that bypassed our risk controls. She added that the company was using its own money to top up its protection fund after it dropped in size. Bloomberg reported that it was below $200 million after standing at $464 million just before the hack. Bitget said that it was the first security incident of this nature in eight years. The incident remains contained and no further unauthorized transfers are possible. The exchange noted. Okay, well, that's fine.

So what the hell happened? Well slow missed traces the bit get hack activity to August 31st, zero day exploit from coin telegraph written by Ezra Reguera. We got an explanation of what happened slow missed trace the earliest logged malicious activity linked to Bitgets $388 million a theft to August 31st when an attacker exploited a zero day vulnerability affecting a third party security product. Attackers stole the funds from Bitgets hot wallets on September the 24th transferring assets to addresses they controlled across several blockchains slow mists investigation identified malicious activity involving two third party security products and a wallet application host according to a slow missed progress report. The attacker used a hidden script to access the database of what slow missed called product

a after retrieving its password from an environment variable similar activity was later detected on two other nodes on September the 23rd and September the 25th the dates and times of the report are in UTC plus eight on September the 25th the attacker also access the management platform of a second security product which slow missed called product B using an internal employees identity slow miss said the hacker then attempted to inject systems commands at alter server configurations and upload malicious program files slow miss said its investigation remains ongoing and that it is still examining just how the attacker moved between the affected systems. The security company said it recovered a deleted highly customized tool used to manipulate

the wallet systems withdrawal process the tool forged risk control parameters constructed withdrawal requests and in vote the withdrawal process slow miss on chain verification found the earliest transfers verified to date at two thirty one a.m. UTC on September the 25th then an attacker controlled address received ninety three TRX followed eleven seconds later by point eight for ether on Ethereum. The compiled transfer records spanned about two hours and fifty two minutes across multiple blockchains extending to five twenty three a.m. that day. The attacker also tried to modify withdrawal records directly in the wallet database and trigger additional Bitcoin withdraws slow miss said to fabricated BTC withdrawal orders entered processing but returned errors after which the attacker reviewed logs checked order

status and may further attempts in a September twenty fifth update bit get said that about three hundred and eighty seven point five million dollars was transferred to attacker controlled addresses across several networks. Bit get CEO Gracie chin later told coin telegraph that the breach stem from a vulnerability in a third party security product that allowed the attacker to obtain high level internal credentials and issue fraudulent withdrawal commands she said bit gets private keys and cold wallets were not compromised. Okay, so and well big get is trying to recover stolen assets. But I want to reiterate that yeah bit gets private keys and cold wallets were not compromised. The only thing that compromises that is people that have Bitcoin on that exchange trying to get it off and yet they still don't have the actual right to get it off.

It's more like they promise you that they will give it back to you upon request right. So be aware sure maybe we can say well okay, they're hot wallets got attacked and my Bitcoin is on that exchange so surely they have enough and reserve that they can give me back my Bitcoin don't be so sure. Even if everything went right and all of your Bitcoin is going to be given back to you and it's in a secure cold wallet this kind of shit is just going to get worse. I would be looking at exchanges at this point as highly highly suspect unless sad exchange is something like I think river does it but I'm sure unchained in Austin Texas does it they they will custody your Bitcoin in a multi sig wallet. Okay, so if they're not if it's not a multi sig wallet on the cold end of their storage

I would be highly suspect of any exchange right and unchained is not an exchange. It is a they will custody your Bitcoin but they do not gamble with your Bitcoin as far as I know they have no such thing as hot wallets they just have cold wallets so if you really don't want to custody your own Bitcoin please look at unchained and not like oh we'll just send it to Coinbase because that shit ain't safe. It's dirty world out there people be be prepared and if you do get dirty make sure you wash yourself up with soap miner brand handmade talo soaps that soap miner dot com go to soap miner dot com get yourself handmade talo soap it's 100% grass bed beef talo distilled water and sodium hydroxide that's the three main ingredients in all of soap miner soaps you'll get sure you can get peppermint because he's got you know some peppermint soap he's got lemon grass soap he's got cedar wood

talo soap so there's going to be some essential oils added to those but if you just want a bar of nothing but pure unadulterated nothing but soap soap he actually has that it's called what is it called hold on do rough cut talo soap just three ingredients but try some of his other stuff it's all awesome pine tar lavender tea tree peppermint lemon grass orange clove he's got goats milk talo soap he's got the cedar wood which is my favorite talo soap these bars are eight dollars of peace but you will be buying it in Bitcoin because he only takes Bitcoin when you're buying soap and that's why he's in the circle piece where I bring plebs with goods and services to other plebs that are just like you who want to buy those goods and services but you will be buying it in Bitcoin because if you're not selling it in a Bitcoin you're not in the circle P make sure you use code Bitcoin and that way you will get 10% off of your total purchase use code Bitcoin and

at soap miner dot com that soap miner dot com and just remember it may sound expensive an eight dollar bar or soap but I got a family of four I got two children and one bar soap last me at least one month for four of us as hand soap in the bathroom eight dollars for the entire month of soap when you look at it from that standpoint it's actually pretty cheap soap use Bitcoin and for 10% off at soap miner dot com that soap miner dot com let's run the numbers CNBC futures and commodities Brent nor see is up a point 103 dollars in 62 cents a barrel West Texas intermediate is up one and a half but it's down to 90 dollars and 71 cents a barrel

which is a little bit there's a little bit too much of a gap for my sensibilities between West Texas intermediate and Brent natural gas is up a quarter to just over three dollars a thousand cubic feet gasoline is up 4.7 to three dollars and 43 cents a gallon Merbon crude is unchanged if you're wondering what happened to gas we had reports come in today of all sides of all kinds we got it some inflation numbers but we also got an unexpected drop in gasoline stockpiles here in the United States so that may be one reason why we've got a very large spike in the price of gasoline metals are mixed palladium down a quarter but gold is up barely 41 80 and five dimes and ounce for gold platinum is up point 8% silver is down just over 1% at 60 46 an ounce and copper is up 0.14% ag is mostly in the red today biggest loser is corn 4.26%

to the downside biggest winner is lumber a quarter to the upside live cattle up a point lean hogs down a half feeder cattle up a point s and p is up a third NASDAQ is up three quarters of a point meanwhile the Dow was down a quarter and the s and p mini is down a brief row of sticks point one one percent in the red and we got Bitcoin bouncing around because we got fresh numbers this morning and by the way we're going to get numbers for the rest of the week and I think Monday too I'm not sure it's all about inflation and whatever it is that we start out the end we're ending this month and we're starting out this this next month tomorrow and the numbers came in for inflation that suggests that inflation isn't as bad as we thought and that immediately caused Bitcoin to hit 85,600 and then it dumped completely back to where it started right before the numbers were

released so somebody was Dave definitely trading on that news at present we're looking at 84,000 exactly per coin that is a 1.69 trillion dollar market cap we can get 20.2 ounces of shiny metal rocks with our one Bitcoin of which there are 20,991,441 and three quarters of fees look like this there are 83,000 unconfirmed transactions waiting to clear at high priority rates of two sats per V by low priorities will get you in at 0.6 we have increased hash rate yet again 979 exa hashes per second is about 20 exa hashes more than we had yesterday so there's that from Ozark Bitcoin yesterday's episode to Bitcoin and Nick dose with 283 sats says chairs right back at you I'm you to mate with 101 says if there are any folks that will be attending the Imagine If conference

in Nashville next week I'd love to meet you in person and promise not to talk about spaces protocol if I can help it DM me on Noster or at PHAEDRUS88 on telegram if you must all right Noster gang with her customary 101 sat boost says we're all gonna die and that's the weather report welcome to part two the news that you can use where Morgan Stanley has a digital assets lab to test crypto products according to a report let's see what they've been up to all this time Matthew DeSalvo is writing this one for Bitcoin magazine by the way Wall Street giant Morgan Stanley has launched a digital asset lab to test crypto products

Bloomberg on Tuesday reported that the bank was using the lab to test products like stablecoins tokenized assets and decentralized financial applications Morgan Stanley is one of many banks delving deeper into the crypto world the traditional finance Titan became the first bank to debut a Bitcoin exchange traded fund in April The fund the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust now manages over 871 million dollars in assets according to its website citing an interview with Megan Brewer who is head of firm wide market innovation and labs at the bank Bloomberg reported that the lab gives Morgan Stanley a secure compliant and segregated environment to be able to test and explore some of these new areas of digital assets in quote the report added that the lab's team is working to test products like tokenized deposits central bank digital currencies and tokenized money market funds

Morgan Stanley has a number of so-called labs to test out new products the report continued Morgan Stanley has been making big crypto moves for years now and back in 2021 it started offering wealthy clients exposure to Bitcoin via funds such as those by well galaxy digital last year the bank CEO and chairman Ted pick said that the bank was working with regulators to see how they could offer crypto products safely back in April the banks head of digital assets Amy Oldenburg said client education not product design is the central challenge facing Bitcoin adoption top banks worldwide are working on offering products that use Bitcoin's underlying technology these products include everything from tokenized equities and stable coins to Bitcoin custody and trading platforms and ask the end of the article so Morgan Stanley still pretty much

at the forefront of what's going on in Bitcoin it's amazing and I want to remind everybody that Amy Oldenburg the bank's head of digital assets is more about client education and not product design I like that attitude I can't believe it's coming from out of somebody from Morgan Stanley but then again I can't believe that Morgan Stanley has been for this long in Bitcoin it's like now we're we're talking about years and they're talking about this one thing that goes back to April or what whatnot but Morgan Stanley's been involved in Bitcoin and been talking about Bitcoin for at this point multiple years kind of refreshing honest but you don't need them to custody your Bitcoin all you really need is a bit box 02 Nova made by bitbox.swiss that's bitbox.swiss when the cold card security news broke I moved my Bitcoin signing setup to

the bitbox 02 Nova and I'm still using it bitbox is swiss made works with iPhone Android Mac windows and Linux and it builds wallet entropy from five independent sources wallet entropy is exactly the kind of security your building wallets from right is the entropy it's the chaos theory babies that's what confuses and frightens everybody trying to figure out what your personal key is so that they can sign your Bitcoin away from you no no no no no not going to work with bitbox they got not one not two not three but five five independent sources of entropy including two hardware random number generators it's firmware is open source and reproducible and bitbox has been transparent about finding and patching security issues if you're protecting generational wealth do your homework start at bitbox.swiss that's bitbox.swiss they are the only sponsor of the Bitcoin and podcast so if

you use code Bitcoin and you'll get 5% off their products plus it lets them know that I made a sale for them here on the Bitcoin and podcast with me your host David Bennett so please please please check out bitbox.swiss that's bitbox.swiss and if you buy something make sure you use code Bitcoin and that way you get 5% off and I get credit for the sale. Han ETF debuts euro hedge to Bitcoin fund in a world first oh joy because I'm so excited about the euro all right this is from Bitcoin magazine is written by Matthew DeSalvo a new Bitcoin exchange traded fund has hit Europe but but but with a twist debuted by 9.2 billion dollar ETF provider Han ETF the euro Bitcoin E

U R hedged ETF gives European investors exposure to Bitcoin while reducing the impact of movements between the euro and the US dollar because Bitcoin is priced in dollars European investors who buy an unhatched product are exposed to two things at once the Bitcoin price and the dollars move against the euro the new exchange traded commodity aims to remove the second of these in a product described by Han ETF is a world's first quote with this launch we're bringing the established logic of euro hedged ETFs to the crypto market Hector McNeil co founder and co CEO of Han ETF said in the statement quote investors have long understood that currency movements can have a meaningful impact on returns on different asset classes for example gold similar to gold Bitcoin is priced in US dollars meaning European investors can end up taking two views at once a view on Bitcoin itself

and a view on the dollar HSBC will provide the currency hedging for the product typically euro hedge funds work by a bank entering forward contracts to sell the equivalent dollar amount for euros at a fixed rate on a future date if the dollar then weakens against the euro the loss on the bitcoins euro value is offset by a gain on the forward and vice versa these contracts are usually rolled over monthly in the hedges resized when they roll Bitcoin ETFs in the United States have been a huge success since this SEC approved them in 2024 and managed by the likes of BlackRock fidelity Morgan Stanley and others the products allow investors to buy shares that track the price of Bitcoin without having to worry about storing the cryptocurrency themselves and that's how we regulate and or rather in on in a black way in a shadow way regulate and control and manipulate

the price of anything give it and give it an ETF give it an ETF and you've got you've basically got some amount of control depending on the size of how much is actually bought of the underlying asset itself and we all used to be really really happy about the ETFs coming in but honestly ever since they've come in it's been quite the squelch on Bitcoin's upward price movement and you know it is what it is but we got other fish to fry like the Mcfish over at McDonald's whose AI pricing engine engages what customers will pay for a big Mac and if that just made you want to laugh out loud I don't blame you dude I'm just about done with anything even looking at McDonald's is just disgusting Stephen Graves writing this one for decrypt McDonald's is using machine learning models to guide

what it charges for menu items with one input being an estimate of how much customers at each individual restaurant will tolerate paying the Reuters news agency reported the system analyzes millions of daily transactions across nearly 14,000 restaurants and produces what the company calls an optimal price for every menu item at every single location screenshots of the interface franchise is use reviews by the agency includes messages telling an owner that the restaurant is showing medium sensitivity to price based partly on customer willingness to pay in your area I got a pause to take a breath because of watching humanity get fleshed directly down the toilet it's making me sick the platform also ingests competitors published menu prices pulled from the

online listings of nearby outlets such as Wendy's in Burger King both chains told Reuters that they do not use AI in pricing decisions yeah but I'll bet soon enough they will three franchisees said the engine has widened price gaps between restaurants selling the same product including between neighborhoods in the same area Reuters check of the McDonald's app in September found a company run store in Fresno California selling a bid big Mac for $5.69 while another company run restaurant two miles away charged $6.89 that is a 21% premium the big Mac premium the agency cannot confirm whether the engine caused the difference the AI platform is run by tiger analytics according to two former employees of the firm with McDonald's supplying rules and corporate targets those parameters

have included concentrating increases on items whose prices have not risen in two years and keeping ice cream and soft drinks out of increases over the summer tiger declined to comment Reuters going well officially franchisees set their own prices I didn't know that so each franchisee of McDonald's can actually charge whatever it is that they want for each in menu item I find that kind of an interesting facet of being a McDonald's franchisee owner but anyway five owners said the company pressures them to follow the recommendations and a document from June shows McDonald's records deviations in detail from January franchisees have been required to engage constructively with the companies approve pricing consultants and tools chief executive Chris common public out your lawn ski reportedly told investors in August that pricing non-compliance

in certain cases forms part of franchisee business reviews the legal terms of the pricing portal warns owners that they may be competitors of one another and should comply with anti-trust law let's let's not only shall we pit our franchisee owners against each other but let's threaten them both at the same time because hey it's corporate America whoo similar systems of drawn consumer backlash before Wendy's drew criticism back in 2024 over reports that it intended to charge more at busier times of day the company said those reports had misconstrued an earnings update about digital menu boards which it said would let it vary menu displays and offer discounts more easily and that it would not raise prices when our customers are visiting us the most

Instacart ended a limited test of AI tools that showed different grocery prices to different shoppers in December McDonald's described the portal as a tool not a mandate designed to provide restaurant specific recommendations and said costs will vary between stores that can sit in distinct markets even if they're just a few miles apart it called Reuters reporting speculative and uninformed and said it takes anti-trust compliance seriously I don't know why they threw anti-trust back in there at the very last but it is what it is ladies and gentlemen this is disgusting shouldn't be surprising that I find it disgusting but I I feel that it's necessary for me to say it out loud more than once I find this disgusting you know digital menu boards that are just basically giant television screens you know behind the counter at McDonald's you know I mean it should

dawn on all of us that it would be easy to change their prices but I just didn't really think about it if they would be changing their prices throughout the day get ready for it because it's coming in fact it's kind of already here that's what the story is about but it's going to be everywhere Taco Bell Taco Via Wendy's Burger King McDonald's all the fast food franchises are going to be in on this and this is why you need to stop eating at these places I know it means that it's a pain in the ass but how much time do we really save by going to a fast food place how much time do you save by losing you know years off your life by eating shitty non-nutritional crappy ass food that sprayed with God knows what God knows where I mean is it really worth it and at this point what do you think how do you like paying like five bucks for a big Mac and if you're two miles from that

particular restaurant you could be paying 650 for the same meal the same day you're just two miles away or that you're paying more lunch than you would in the middle of the day what the fuck man I mean how much of this optimization bullshit do we actually have to experience before we leave it all behind us this is not the way humans are meant to live I'm just going to say that and move on before I lose my shit last up for the day open AI gave AI agents their own computers at dev day 2026 and here's everything that was announced this is from Hose Antonio Lawns from decrypt open AI spent dev day 2026 pitching the idea that your next co-worker could be an AI with its very own computer the company announced more than 20 launches on Tuesday in San Francisco

and they range from always on agents called dots D as in David D O T S dots to a cheaper model a confirmation of the rumored $500 tier and a shared workspace where humans and bots with a B as in Bennett my last name edits the same document the events mood felt like cementing the idea that AI is moving from a chatbot you consult to a worker that you assign things to do one that has its own computer one that connects to your own work apps and one that keeps going even while you sleep because we never really learned the meaning of slavery even if you're digital I know I get it I got to I got to do this think of it this way there's a lot of people and I've done it to where I'm just starting to more talk to AI to get shit done them typing and then I listen to it

actually respond to me because it's got its own voice so I'm listening to human voice I'm interacting with my voice in my ears it's not human I understand this I'm not interacting with the human yet it has some of the hallmarks of humanity in so far a human voice and the fact that I can interact with it with my human voice and then I expect it to stay up all night doing my shit for me and I don't pay it and I don't give it a break and I don't care about his children I don't care about anything what I'm getting at is that it is not outside of the realm of possibility that this kind of activity this kind of the way that we view these things starts to bleed over into how we treat actual real God boots on the ground humans and I know that it's ridiculous to say you can't enslave that which is not alive I get it that's not the point it is the what kind of attitude

are we going to develop that starts getting taken into the outside world with other actual human beings this is where we need to be very very very careful continuing one day earlier open AI pulled its next flagship GPT 6.1 Astra because it didn't meet safety standards this comes after a summer in which open AI's agents breached the open source repository hugging face and dots are today's headliners that's D as in David OTS dots open AI calls them remarkably capable and they're always on agents meaning AI that takes actions on its own instead of just answering questions and keeps working after you close your laptop it's the same premise the open source AI agent platforms Hermes and open claw have been developing for months each dot runs on GPT 6 Astra open AI's flagship model and gets its own cloud computer and its own web browser

it can plug into more than 4000 ads and learns your preferences from feedback you can reach it it or sorry you can reach it in chat GPT you can reach it on a voice call or you can reach it and on teams with texting coming soon dots follow built in rules sorry dots follow built in rules on when to act alone and jobs like changing a password always stay with the human the first dot is included with pro and business premium in eligible markets with free and plus users being left out chat GPT space is a shared workspace where teammates chat GPT and each person's dot work from the same pile of project knowledge it's like a shared drive plus group chat except some of the members are software it introduces pages a new kind of document built for people and agents to

edit together in the keynote demo open a eyes Holly Lee tag co workers and her dot inside a space and handed out chores right a frequently asked question update her and come through her slack DMs collaborative slides that export to PowerPoint or Google slides are coming in the next few weeks oh I can't wait space is available on business pro and enterprise enterprise plans on desktop and web plus the $20 a month plan is not on the list mobile can read and share pages but creating them there is coming soon GPT 6.1 sole is open a eyes new workhorse model arriving one week after GPT 6.0 sole open a i says it nearly matches GPT 6 asteris on agent codeing compute use and professional work at one fifth of asterisk token price tokens are the chunks of text a model reads and writes and they

are how AI companies bill so the dots that's really the biggest part of this article we don't need the rest of it it's the dots that I'm interested in so I don't know what dots stand for I I'll you know maybe I'll ask my own AI or something like that but I do think that we should be start we should start looking at this as the potential to how we start viewing each other and how we start treating each other because if it's easy for me let yeah look at this way let's say that I've got a small company and I've got I don't know 15 employees and I am so used to working with dots and having them do all this work maybe I start treating my employees like that like hey why are you going home at five why are you going home at six and I honestly for those of you who think that people should shelve their entire lives to work for you I'm sorry but fuck you

that is not why we're here people are not here to completely enslave themselves to other people because you're paying them now that doesn't mean that I don't like entrepreneurship I do I wouldn't be doing this podcast if I wasn't into entrepreneurship I like capitalism but I also like it when humans exercise oh I don't know a modicum of fucking control instead of just treating each other like shit all day long maybe we should treat each other like human beings all day long and this dot situation is not going to help it's going to allow us to have a new attitude born in our minds about you should just be doing shit all day long screw your kids screw you screw your own health screw your own peace of mind I don't need any of that I don't want to hear about any of that I just want to see what you did for me for the last 72 hours straight without sleep

I know it sounds a little far-fetched but I can almost guarantee you that hallmarks of that toxic bullshit attitude is going to start weaving its way into how humans treat other humans especially how bosses start treating subordinates no I'm not calling for some kind of workplace revolution where you go kill your boss that's no I'm not there right if you are the kind of person that has like 15 10 people underneath you you are the one that's actually in danger of becoming an asshole if you're already an asshole if you thought you never could be any more of an asshole oh you just wait because here comes dots and they whatever whatever like respect you have for humanity is now in danger of being stripped away because of shit like this does it mean that dots doesn't have

utility no absolutely not this actually sounds really great except for the fact that if you cannot leave the attitude of dots working 24 seven behind you as you walk into normal relations with normal flesh and blood red blooded by you know breathing human being then you're going to be in danger of treating them like you start treating these things I think it's going to be a problem I really do I think it's going to be a problem and the larger the institution that you work for is the larger the problem is going to be presented it's I mean you're going to see evidence of this shit so you might want to start looking for it and you might as somebody who might be a subordinate to a boss figure out how you're going to start putting up boundaries no you go home at six no you don't take work home with you I know I know I know some

of you are going I don't have any choice this is the way I've been working for years that's not why I'm saying that that you stop that you stop taking work home with you right now that's not what I'm saying I'm saying whatever it is that you're comfortable doing right now you need to put boundaries up around that and every time your boss starts testing those boundaries with this attitude that's coming from bots and dots and AI and all that shit it needs to be an electrified fence it needs to send up a signal which means you actually have to say something no I'm not adding that to my pile I've got a doctor's appointment I want to spend what time I have left to the day with my kids I'm not owned by you I am not your slave if we don't start doing that now not tomorrow not next week right fucking now we have to start enacting and building those barricades and getting

them set up to the electricity grid so that if somebody transgresses it they get shocked they need to have feedback here and no further because this shit is going to start reprogramming people to think of other people as dots and not humans so that's going to be all that I say about it be very careful out there people all right that is it for today show of Bitcoin and I hope all of you have a lovely Wednesday I love you all and I will see you all the other side this has been Bitcoin and and I'm your host David Bennett I hope you enjoyed today's episode and hope to see you again real soon have a great day you
