Jack Dryer gets the start as your opener. It will be a bullpen game for both the Dodgers and the Giants as they look to give this season over with. Dodgers get ready for October baseball. The Giants get ready for a long winter. First pitch from Oracle Park is coming up at 1205 between then and now. We got a lot to get to here on Marango Casino Dodgers on deck. You are going to hear from the Dodger manager, Dave Roberts coming up in less than 20 minutes. We'll preview this pitchy matchup. David Vase goes one-on-one with Dalton Rushing. We got your Dodgers magical moment in just a few minutes. We'll head out to the GALPIN Ford broadcast booth and check in with Tim Never and Rick Monday. Yesterday, it took some late inning heroics from Keke to get the win in San Francisco.

4:12Blake Snehl got the start. His final regular season outing before the postseason begins. Snehl has missed a lot of time with injuries. Only his ninth start here in 2026. Snehl, a high pitch count early. He'll be able to get around some work on traffic on the base pass. Four innings, one run, five hits, three strikeouts. He threw 77 pitches. The Dodgers offense, meanwhile, needed a spin around the lineup before getting going. In the third, finally, with two outs, the leadoff hitter, Mookie Betz. Two old pits. Mookie swings. It's a drive. Deep left field. This ball heading back to the wall. It is GALPIN HUMRON. Mookie Betz makes it one-nothing Dodgers with his 23rd home run of a season. Two outs shot. He got a cutter that was left right over the middle of the plate. Felt high. And Mookie says goodbye. Mookie sends it over the wall. His 23rd home run of this season, his seventh of the month is September.

5:12Stay hot, Mookie. Dodgers, a one-nothing lead. That lead was gone though in the bottom of the third when the giants got a turner hill, sack fly to tie the game in one and the fourth. Dodgers was some of that offense when the bottom of the lineup this time. Miguel Rojas and RBI single. Dodgers up to the one. The Tommy Edmond in RBI single. Dodgers had three to one lead. Blake Snehl. He went to four innings, turned it over to the bullpen. Alex Fessia scoreless fifth. Chris Bubich scoreless six. Brock Stewart gave up an RBI triple in the seventh. That made it to three two Dodgers lead. Then in the eighth, Evan Phillips gave up a run as the giants tied the game at three. So going to the top of the ninth Dodgers needed some offense. 7:19And their road record right now the best in Major League Baseball 48 and 32. They've won 17 of the last 22 ball games with a run differential of plus 51. The meantime the Giants are 65 and 96 and at no time in the Giants franchise history have they ever won 65 games exactly in a season. Today might be that day you never know. It'll be a parade from the bullpen today. A couple of openers Jack Dryer the left hander five and two and a 3.16 earned run average going for the Dodgers. Carson Seymour has been tabbed to go first for the Giants today. Seymour 0 and 2 and a 4 7 0. ERA well game 162 Moe but the Dodgers are putting out a representative lineup because they know they don't play for about a week. So Otoni will lead off and then bats and Freeman and they're expecting these guys to get some at bats today. The only regular that's not in that lineup today at least at the beginning is Will Smith he will probably get the entire afternoon off but we were kidding yesterday.

8:21One thing that we do know in the final game with the Dodgers did not have a hurdle they have to jump over and for the Giants it has been a long season. I mean they currently have 24 players on the injured list the Giants do. So we're going to see a lot of new faces but if you're keeping score folks and a lot of people do it we would recommend that you write small because there's going to be a lot of names and faces in this game. You and I were kind of trying to figure out well what's the over and unders as far as the number of players we may see total today. 38 and a half is what I'm saying right in that area. 37 to 38. We'll go under and I'll go over and we'll see who wins but there's going to be a number of players in this game certainly. Max Muncie keep an eye on Max Muncie today 29 home runs. He's had 11 in this ballpark in his career one of the top totals among active players and for him if he gets to 30 he would join a pretty good group. He would actually tie Eric Caros for the number of 30 home run seasons with the Dodgers at five only Gil Hodges and Duke Snyder had more with six.

9:21Yeah and that to look at the number of beers he's been able to do it as well five. So it works out really well. The Dodgers do not have really a tractor that they have to fire up and run across the field today. But there are some things that they need to tighten up and I think the offense without question needs to be tightened up in particular with runners in scoring position. They've not done a very good job in the last 26 games hitting collectively just 219 and a couple of bats they're trying to figure some things out right at the top of the list. Freddie Freeman and Shohei O'Connie not swinging the bats the way they'd like to at least right now. Up and today if the Dodgers get their 100th win that's going to be a milestone for Dave Roberts. It would be the sixth time in his career. He would have had a season with 100 or more wins only two other managers have ever done that. Both in the Hall of Fame Bobby Cox did it six times. Joe McCarthy did it six times. It's amazing what Dave Roberts has been able to accomplish as a you know the skipper if you will

10:22in running the Dodgers ship in the time that he has been there. It has been one of the elite starts of managers in baseball history and there's no reason to think that it's not going to continue very well and hopefully it's going to continue very well this year. 12:27but more importantly delivered a win. This has been your role. You delivered again. How do you get ready for these type of situations? I mean, in that moment, it was all about competing and trying to get on base. I was still pretty embarrassed about swinging at that pitch. I don't know if I've ever swung a worst pitch than the one I struck out on. And I thought that, you know, maybe you should take your shirt off after I just punched out with a base loaded like that. I'm glad you didn't take it off because it worked. I said never. I would never turn on you that way. But I remember when you first came up, your teams used to have a saying, keep going, keep going. How did you keep going to come up with the big hit like you always do? You know, it's in that situation, like I said. It's about competing. They brought in one of their best horns or closer and a tie game. I'm trying to get on base for the big boys behind me. It just happened on, you know, catch a barrel and ball went really far. And it felt kind of nice. I hadn't heard of ball like that in a long time. Everybody in Dodgerland is already saying it's not even October. You're just getting ready. Yeah, that'd be nice.

15:35All right, Dave. Game 162. You guys have 99 wins. How would 100 sound to you? That would sound great. Yeah, you know, it's been obviously every year's different. It's been such a, you know, it's actually flown by. But we've had a lot to deal with. And so to be on the verge of 100 is pretty impressive. Miguel Rojas said when you guys clinched the NLS, you guys don't get enough credit for being as mentally and physically tough. Do you feel like this team has not been given enough credit about the character and being able to go through some of the peaks and valleys of a season? Absolutely. Absolutely agree with that. I think it's just one of those things where if you can't, those are things that are intangibles. You just can't, it's hard to quantify and wrap your head around it. So, you know, people just expect us to go out there and win 100 games every year regardless and it's not that easy. So a lot of credit to the guys in the room. Do you have a playoff rotation yet?

16:35We're still talking through it. You know, no, no short answer. Thought I'd try. Nice try. Evan and Rokey, are there any other relievers that you need to see today as kind of an an audition or even dress or her silhouette because these things could look like? Obviously Jack, you know, Jack starting, we're going to see those two you'd mentioned. We're going to see Roe both. Obviously with what happened with Blake trying in yesterday, he's on the IEL and then we brought up, we were called Bobby Miller. So you'll see Bobby Miller for sure for a couple of endings and then outside of that it's kind of just played the win the game. I don't. I talked to him today. He's still kind of trying to process it, disappointed obviously. We're going to get an MRI tomorrow. Just, but obviously it's shoulder, it's capsule and we'll just kind of figure it out.

17:39A lot of lefty relievers that you've been choose from which is great, but also makes the decision difficult. What things are you looking at in the GS, the hunt for the carry? I think it's, you know, every guy when you're talking about certainly a short series, there needs to be a specific role. And so with the lefties as you said, it's more of, you know, layering in on how good they are versus left-handed hitters and how they match up versus right-hand hitters and a clean inning length, which isn't as big of a deal in a short series. So we got some really good options. I don't think in this next series that's too big of a factor. I think for us it's just going with, honestly, I think right now it's going to go with our best

18:42arms, our most talented arms, I think in a short series. How long are the regulars going to play today? I'm thinking, show, hey, we'll get probably three at bats. I think Mookie will probably get two at bats. You know, as far as I feel tail can play, I feel tucker can play, I feel Andy can play. I'm going to get tucker out probably three at bats, maybe get call in there. And so yeah, and we'll figure out what Friday and Muncie kind of do. He's going on the IEL. No indication about whether or not he's going to go through with any sort of scans to see the extent of the damage in his shoulder. He was considering retirement anyway, Tim. So we'll see where that goes.

23:52But this is going to be a bold game. You're going to see sugar D as you're going to see Justin Robleski. You're going to see Bobby Miller in this game today. And the Dodgers have their regulars out there. So I don't think you're going to see them for all nine, but at least to start the game, they probably will get to at bats to close out the regular season. David Show, hey, Otonius come back. And it hasn't been a big splash in his return on the offensive side. How important do you think it is for him to have some positive results today in order to get ready for game one of that NLDS next week? Because of this long layoff. Yeah, I mean, the most positive result he's had is off of Mason Miller. And I know some of the herb. I can't see the on deck circle from the camera well. But some observed that Otonius wasn't even taking swings from the on deck circle before is that that. Read into that as much as you want. But it just hasn't looked right. Maybe it's rust. He hasn't seen life pitching since he went on the IEL. So I think this series and this period of time

24:52has lent itself to him seeing real pitching to maybe get ready for whatever is to come in October. So that's that's the biggest thing. But I mean, his presence is bred alone, warns him being in the lineup. But I think we all have to continue to read and react. The Dodgers have to read and react, especially about just how much he can give them. No doubt. Well, I mean, they have a lot of guys that they can to plug in. Honourically, Kim, he was on the bubble anyway for the playoff roster. It would have been great to have his experience

25:55to come into a game. But they got guys like image she in that certainly can plug in Rob Leskey. So he was he was on the bubble to begin with. So I'm not sure about how the pitching staff is going to look like for the NLDS. They're going to carry one less pitcher and one extra position player because of the best of five series. And here's something from yesterday's game that is important down the road. The Dodgers with the win yesterday clenched home field advantage against any American lead team. Winner lose today because they hold the tiebreaker against the race who are playing the Phillies. And remember last year, the reason why the Dodgers did not have home field advantage against the blue jays is because the jays finished one game better in the regular season than the Dodgers. So down the road, I know, but something to keep in the back of your mind. The Dodgers have home field advantage in the world series. Should they make it for a third straight year? That is definitely something important for the Dodgers to have no doubt about it. David Gray stuff will check back in with you just a little bit.
