Man, it's kinda snuck up on us today. Here it is, all of a sudden. That was... Damn. Casual Friday. Hey, on you, I've been watching. Welcome to the live set. We're sitting here, signing out of the attack. What is everybody welcome to the event of this podcast? Live from the Toyota Landstrip, and by your current range, Toyota's towards Toyota, the official vehicle of the NBA. I think so. I think it's safe to say. I'm an official vehicle of Colorado. That's what I've been saying. I think so. Yeah, I think it's safe to say. Yeah, yeah, it's safe to say, guys. There's a lot of things safe to say. Training camp in the books. Is tomorrow training camp? Yes. Yeah, not safe to say. Training camp, not in the books yet. Almost in the books. But... I mean, it's in the books. But it's just the books aren't done. There's another chapter. Our storylines, though, that have started to emerge from training camp. Every day, you get a little bit more of a picture. We had training camp yesterday. You were there in attendance for it. We also had it today, so a lot of things to talk about. Also, we really have to get to Mike Tomlin's Minecraft city.

I can't wait to talk about it. I can't wait to get to it either. It's actually very exciting news. Over here, I got Brennan vote. What's up, fellas? Really pleased with the way our coverage has started this season. I think if you're watching the show, you're locked in. And if you're a DNVR diehard, you're definitely locked in. You got recaps and notes on everything that's happened all week. So go ahead and subscribe if you haven't. Make sure you're reading online. If you want to be an in-for-nuggets fan, we got you covered. Great. We're getting a little still right there. So should I. Thanks for the ship. Yeah. Sometimes you got to do it. That's what they tell me. Song glasses right here in the middle of the next thing. I'm going, brother. Over here, I've got D-Line Go. That's right, guys. Listen, man. I'm ready. I mean, I'm just like ready. I don't know for this nonsense. Well, enough for the four-play. Hurry up and slow down, brother. What are you going to do, Seth? We're on the right now. So are we? I'm confused. So pre-season. But training camp is its own season. It's pre-pre-season. It's not. It's the pre-season. What are you going to do Sunday? We got Broncos and we have the answer. Let's see. Broncos. So you're not going to watch this nuggets game?

I mean, I'll watch it a little bit, but like who cares? I mean, are you not excited? I'm talking about this later. I can't believe the vibes I'm getting from over here. I'm coming to vote for the vibes today. I got a pre-season game. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. You do. It's such an advantage. As a non-braunco fan, I can say. You're in. You're in. You're in. You're in. You're in. I want to hear for the nuggets game, DeLine absolutely should watch the rounds. Yeah, no doubt. Just no doubt about it. You're going to hear it talking about it. You watch both of them, but I'm just saying, you got to be a lot of watch both. Yeah. Listen, man, you're the Brazil nut. How many chances do you think you're going to get to see Trevin Brazil today? That's so true. I mean, I'll see him all the time on the bench. I guess you will. We did have training camp today, We spoke to Tyus Jones. We spoke to Christian Brown. I thought all three of them were fantastic today, vote. In all sincerity, I have found the interviews this week to be really informative from everyone. Like genuinely informative, sometimes training camp. It's true. A little go through the motion to eat on both ends of this. But I actually think we've gleaned some things because the players have shared some things

and I will, with the caveat that it's easier to win this time of year than lose this time of year. Folks do seem to be engaged and enjoying themselves. Yeah, I would agree with that, man. Let's start with David Adelman, who opened today's media availability deal. I don't know if you've even heard about this. Open the media availability today by saying, some of my staff members have told me that there were media members upset about my media day comments where I said that I have five different things I could be doing. He said what I meant was I had five other of those media day availability is you have to do different things with the team. I had to do those. That's what I was saying. Not that I didn't want to be there. Yeah. I respect the work all of you people do. Well, what I would say is that that's no different. What? What? Oh, yeah. What? What do you, communicating is that being here with you is holding me up. That didn't change that. That's still what the saying.

You tell it's an inconvenience for him to have to talk. Yeah. But he did make sure to say he respects our time. Yeah. That is the part that you can focus in on. I do think that, you know, people were like, bro, you didn't kill for the dumbest like, yeah, this is the easiest thing in the world to win the media day and like being like standoff is you're just showing that like you clearly don't want to be there. It's a waste of your time whether it be for other media day photos or anything is not a great way to start off a year. I'm glad he acknowledged it. I mean, it's he got getting it killed by us. I saw some clips who's getting killed. We went in on him though. We had fun with it. Not like this, not like the other stuff. Yeah, yeah. I think I would describe it as we had fun with it. Yeah, well, I think that we acknowledged like how rude it was. Because it is. How wrong of a note it was to play. Yeah. There's nothing wrong with that. But like other people took it like a way further. So there was like some real hurt feelings. That's nice to you apologize. But you know, whatever it also like I don't blame him either.

Like I get it. But I also like bro come on man. Like this is this is media day. Yeah. Worth the media. This is like good time for her. It's our day dude. It's like being mean to somebody other birthday like it's so funny. Making them be like all right. I'll hear me birthday. Just so you know I got like father replace to be so can we like get it? You're like bro it's me day. We got one day more than anything. It just the mistake of photos that he brought it up again. Because that was such old news. He's been great all week man. I was just going to say it is it's one of those things where you circle back to reopen it. A whole thing. Yeah. That was probably closed. The funny thing being yesterday the page had really turned to what a good job. I'll be doing this week. But I don't think for everybody. No, I'm just saying like it was just saying like right when it was starting to swing back. Well I do think it's important to him because it's important in general because it's going to color the way that he gets covered in this town by certain places. Certain people. And it's not like whether or not they're talking about it.

It's in their brain like this is what this is. So for him to just say it's like oh you cool. I mean this is not a big deal. We're talking about its casual Friday. It's not funny. Like it's totally funny. I would never bring this up again if you had not asked but it is funny. Just the whole entire thing. It's like. Yeah. Well you're mad at e entertainment news for asking you questions on the red carpet. David Adam and those so you are right. I think that he doesn't necessarily understand. Some people have it in a neat sense of how to like wag the dog with media and with fans and those type of things. And Michael Mullen was one of them. And that guy knew how to win over fans and create an image of himself. David Adam and doesn't seem to have that muscle. But I still find him to be a very fascinating interview when he's talking hoops. And the rest of the interview today he was talking hoops. And in particular a scrimmage that he said was encouraging across all three groups. Meaning first, second and third group. He said the starters were very good and he talked about the offense. The offense today apparently looked very polished. Offense doesn't matter. Good. Well this is something that guys have been like.

He kind of let him go. Let the man go. I'm just saying. Go ahead. I don't even know your top. Guys had been sort of articulating this dynamic all week. That like what you want is for people to show up and play hard. It doesn't mean you're going to know what things look like. So I think especially when you're an offense led by Yokeh. That's about guys being in the right places at the right time. You almost don't even get to see some of that stuff. As the Yokeh said on day two, you don't even really know yet where the mistakes are coming from. We're now deep enough into camp where units should probably be executing together a little bit. And so it's nice to hear that that progress was made. He did have a couple names that he shouted out in particular from the Scrimmage portion today. What? Thought it might be me. Thought it was you. I want to shout out to you. I apologize specifically to him. Cam Whitmore. Name we've heard kind of a lot. Okay. You up a little bit in our next segment here. Okay. But Cam Whitmore apparently played great. Vote.

Are you hyping this up? You coming, coming it down? Um, I'm going to do both. I'm going to say that we probably this might not be like learning anything new. So we knew Cam Whitmore had talent and skills and tools. We know he's a free gothly. In my opinion, that whole dynamic I was just describing. Less organized, but you just want guys playing harder. It's not surprising to me that Cam Whitmore is is showing out in that environment, especially on a roster where maybe there are some more older. Guys are more finesse than physicality guys. If he's bringing that if he's setting the tone, I bet he looks like an animal out there. So it's both a good thing. And then also to me. I don't think we had any questions of Cam could do some of this stuff. So there's sort of a more nuanced cam conversation that I think would happen after Cam. Yeah. I mean, the thing for me is like, yeah, he checks that box of what we expected. Like cool. This is a good. This player has raw scale clearly. Yeah. He still is clearly a potential guy. And he's got a lot that he can work with in that.

But I mean, obviously, like the less organized. When it's a hooper's paradise, the hoopers come to play. Yeah. There is a some of that man, but there's another world where this just didn't happen. And his name is all over. I think on every single day of the game. Like every single day. Yeah. And he might be the only nugget whose name has popped up. And so it's exciting to hear that he has been impactful. And like I said, today was mostly scrimmaging. So I know there's sloppy scrimmages this time of year, but it's still like no functional excitement here. Another name that came up today, Marvin Bagley. What's that a great job? Mark, Marvin Bagley, the second or third is a second. Wait, is he a second or a junior? I can't remember. I'm gonna find out right now. Is that he is doing a good job of learning Yokech style of office. Yeah, no, he's in his bag. But more he's praised his positioning. So we talk about getting in positioning. And then here's the big part. He's done a great job of pushing Yokech. And that's not a hard easy thing to do. David Adamin says he says you got to actually like you, you know, if game can come so easy to him, you got to knock him off his spot.

You got to get physical. And he said Bagley's done a good job of that. That's awesome. That's not surprising. I think the physicality part is cool. I also was thinking about if they're going into this, this offensive rebound heavy kind of approach. It's just something that I didn't even really think about. That's Marvin Bagley's bread and butter too. So he's well suited for whatever that is. And you know, it's interesting. He did mention to like, at camp, there's a little bit of like, try to be an approximate Yokech at times. And in the season, this probably can be funneled more into his proper strengths. But we ever heard good things about Marvin. I mean, he's a fixture on this second unit. And I always hesitate to get too excited about a backup center. But I'm hopeful that it's not hopeless. Yeah. Is that okay? I think I love But Bagley. I'm hopeful. Yeah. I'm just straight up hopeful. I think hopeful is actually the right word. It's the right word. Hopefully.

Maybe that's what we're doing. Yes, it's hopeful. Well, yeah, we have been burned in the past. For sure. But I love that one. Here's another one for you, D-line. Alfa Diallo's pressure is really helping Denver's offense. Because in camp, you got to make turn guys. This has been a big thing. Ball handling. Getting into guys. Apparently Alfa Diallo today made his impact. Guys had to really work to get the ball to court against him. I don't know if it's because I'm tuned in. Like I have an internal subscription to the word Alfa Diallo. But I've been like seeing his name pop up. Really? Being mentioned. Talking about how he's able to navigate screens. Like I'm. That was the show. Yeah. Is that what you've been watching? So no, I just even beyond our what we're talking about. The nuggets at large. Like I'm just kind of hearing his name pop up. Like beyond our show, which is the crazy part because I expect it from our show. You know what it what are the shows you watch? Yeah, what are the literally not literally not. But you get clips of the algorithm will feed me things. You understand? Like I don't listen guys. I don't seek out the Nell boys.

They find me. I don't seek out these things. There's something called an algorithm. But point being is like I'm hearing the name Alfa Diallo and linked with like. Words you don't normally normally hear about Denver. And I get players like his defensive prowess and like I'm super excited. Man, like I I really do feel like Marvin and alpha. Those are I think the first two moves that they made were like very deaf. Moves like he'd be using that word deaf. I just think that the front office like all. Now that the dust is somewhat settled. Yeah. Kind of look back and be like man. If not for that Peyton Watson disaster. You would look at this like is a total success story this offseason. Spencer Jones was out today. This is the big news. He did not participate in the practice. And Matt Moore reported that it was for a hamstring tweet hamstring. So it's a little early for me to be hearing those words. Yeah, I don't love it. I don't love it. Spencer Jones. Yeah, I'm not going to lie. I don't have any really way.

It's just a bit concerning. It's probably nothing. Yeah. You don't want to hear soft tissue on October second. Bro. And so to put a ball in it, you know, Spencer's saddest will be questionable. It sounds like as of now for Sunday. But I'm on more. I'm on most like yeah, don't even play him, you know. Oh, yeah, do not play him. So well, it's more than that, man. It's just how long do these things linger? You know, like it's a real bummer. And then I thought later on we talked to Christian. And he was talking about the offseason and how last year because of the contract situation, he wasn't able to work as hard as he was this summer, you know, like their, their, their stuff and things. Spencer has alluded to some of this about not playing full five on five and stuff. And so I always wondered that like that's one of these ramifications of guys don't want to hurt themselves in an offseason until they get a contract. And then all of a sudden the seasons here and they have to ramp up. And I'm not saying that's what happened here, but an injury for three, four days into it that's kept him out of one practice. It's like, man, what a bummer. I hope this is not a trend. I know certainly didn't hold up his international travel by the way in Colombia that he'd been

signed. That's a bummer. I don't want to fuck you know, I don't have it in me this year. I can't do it. That's what I mean. It's like it's it's almost. It's weird because then you almost go, man, just shut him down for the whole preseason. Yes. But then that's also the preseason you missed. Well, he's not a guy that is vital. I don't think to the nuggets operations, but he makes things much better. And so it's like there's a different Aaron Gordon is out in Spencer Jones is that Spencer Jones out. It's like, all right, cool. Teran, you get the tap or Zick, you get the tap like, you know, there's no replace. He said picture of Zick by the way. Yes. Of course I did. I see everything. I picture you see that picture. Kale. I mean, he was looking pretty good. Well, you can't you cannot take this from Zick. Yeah. He's a kid. He's ready. He takes care of his body. He takes care of his body. He takes care of his body. He takes care of his body. He takes care of his body. He takes care of his body. It's like a little bit more Duranhound Ziknaji are the only specimen teams. I, a lot of you walk around. It looked great, man. You look great, man. A lot of you walk around. Yeah.

Yeah, if you are supposed to. It was actually a really bad metaphor. Yeah, that doesn't make sense. That makes sense. That's the most expensive option when you just describe your right. That is true. They always get you to and you're in the car and it's like, they don't know what you're talking. I know, that's what makes it great. When you check the box of like, you can just fill it up here. It is a little more expensive and you're like, that's so dumb. And then you realize there's no other gas station within 20 miles of that place and you end up driving all over trying to find you. Well, you did to me. What about the nuggets? Are you gonna mean? Ben's in here talking about the nuggets. You might have been wondering, are we sure DeMar de Rosen isn't gonna start? David Ottoman was asked point blank and he says, yes, starting five, starting five. After I lose my best. Actually, how did he answer it? Because it was like one word. Yeah, I actually have to talk about how you would have to check this transcript. Is the starting five from last year's still gonna be the starting five or would DeMar de Rosen? Is there a chance to Rosen? He was like, it's the same starters. It's basically the, he's actually, he's been pretty transparent. I'm able to get to it by asking about rotation today, given answer, asked about Marvin Bagley, gave an answer and here too. So not a lot of fake hidden strategy.

Was the answer, because he was asked about how he's gonna play to Rosen, who he comes in for and who staggers. And he said, that's one of the best things about the preseason is you don't really know that. You have to get a feel and those games, that's one of the most valuable things you get is a feel for the rotation. And he expanded on it by saying, Tim, why do I junior would play 10 straight minutes? And that was just kind of how he liked it. But most guys don't like a stint that long. So to Rosen, it might be more too smaller stints or something. And if you do that, it changes your rotation. So I thought that was actually a pretty cool answer. Just kind of showing you that that's part of what he's going through right now. Yeah, I mean, there's like a, I just see a guy that you're trying to bridge certain lineups as he a guy that you want with the two-man game is he a guy that you want to try to figure out. Can he save offenses that don't have any of those guys? So you can say he comes off the bench and we know that any will. He's gonna play a lot of minutes. What do those minutes look like? I think that probably will be pretty fluid through the first half of the year. Maybe not fluid, but something he's at least open to changing his mind on.

Another name that I think we've heard a lot this week is Ty's Jones. I think Ty's Jones has been good. We talked to him today and I really enjoyed him. David Adamin said that he is, he said he's like a catcher in baseball that he can call his own. That's a great. He's not the main play caller, but he can. And he said, if I didn't call any plays a whole game, Ty's would be fine or something like that, I said. And he really likes that about him. I'm buying, we'll get to this in the next one, but I really like Ty's Jones. I think he's gonna be good. I think I'm impressed with him. I think there are two different Ty's Jones conversations. And there's Ty's Jones in a playoff rotation against the wolves. I think it's really fair to question how he would hold up against that kind of athletic perimeter prowess. Then there's the regular season. And I do think for as much as I Denver needed a third guard on the roster, it's why we like the Nebards signing. As much as Ty's is too small, won't help your defense. Ty's Jones has a backup point guard can work in the regular season. So I do, I do think we can overstate the wolffulness of that situation. But what I'm hopeful about in this context,

we say it every year, but you wanna see some sort of identity with the bench. And in having a legitimate kind of point guard who's now here in year two, can he take the reins a little bit, right? And so can it be a, not just slow the ball down, slow it down and get the ball to the deroges in, but can they have some sort of half court identity and can he help them get there? Ty's Jones, we tied to him as well. He also said that the offense was really sharp, but he said for those all three teams. And what does it mean, sharp ball movement and making open shots? I kind of love that. All the things that can be good and polished in a scrimmage and preseason, ball movement is like, that usually takes a while. So I like that the offense feels like it's in a really good spot. He said there's a lot of good focus and maturity to the team in this camp, which is another thing he kind of like to hear. And then he said that he liked the athletic guys that are in the camp that are in like the third string, because in camp in particular, it provides a different thing to train against. Yeah, Tyus, like, my thoughts on Tyus are just that

I just think he's a really good, steady, eddy ball handler. Like he's a Montaigne Morris. Like, yeah, yeah, it's a good job. You can't, I don't look to him to be defensively helping, but I do think the heel, like, even in the playoffs, I think it's like he's a very reasonable safety valve to relieve pressure for some amount of time, like just getting the ball and keeping the offense on its tracks. So even if he's like a liability defensively, he can at least make up for it on the offensive end. So I'm not surprised, like he's just a, his game, I feel like is one that can age well, because it's not based on athleticism. And like, he probably gets better in a lot of ways, because he's like wiser. And now in working with Demarderos, and like, we've got some like vets now that we're working with, like, those are pros. Like he's a pro, you know what I mean? Like he is a pro. He's carved out a career. Yes, he's figured out how to, how to stick around. And that's valuable, especially when things get tight, it's not like he's had like, I don't, he's not one championship, right?

Like he's not been in a team that made any kind of serious push. It's just like, I don't know, you just hope that when you find, when things get really tough, you just have like a team of cooler heads that can prevail. I do, I do think like it's fair to say in the playoffs, like his size and the athleticism. I mean, I agree. You know, but, but, but to your point, man, I think you're making ties, bring something to the table in a regular season rotation. Oh, for sure. And I have been saying, like, I'm really intrigued by the Tias and the Demar two-man game. Like I just think that Tias Jones is the type of guy that can get Demar DeRose in the ball exactly where he wants it in the mid-range in an area that's not generally defended. And like, Demar doesn't have to create his own shot. He can just run to an area and get a shot. You know, it's like, I really feel like there'll be a good chemistry between those two. Because Demar DeRose and I doubt he's gonna be called on to be a ballhand. Or he might, but like, I don't really see him. That's not his true value. He's a scorer, you know? And it's like, you can really optimize him that way without wearing him out.

Well, I also like Tias' perspective on, like what you were just talking about, he's a pro, carved out a career, that's a skill set. Totally. You always mention the Tim Hardaway quote, you know? When I get to a new place, I figure out, what does the coaching staff need for me? What do they need for me? And if I can just do that, I know I'm gonna play. And you know, Tias has this stuff. He has some of this wisdom. And I asked him for his perspective on Kim Whitmore today. And I thought that was pretty cool as well. Where he talked about the importance of being a sponge, of taking advantage of the fact that you've got veterans and guys who have seen different, had their own journeys. Like, Kim is not gonna not make it because he's not good enough at basketball. If Kim doesn't make it, it'll be about other things. Yeah, they can't buy in. So yeah, I think the word he said was like, you know, selflessness, selflessness was a big one and then listening. And I just thought it was kind of cool to, as he spoke about it, I just felt like, look man, if I were a young guy, this is a guy who I would wanna know what he thinks. It's funny. It's like that's also what you tell to the kindergarten class in the first day.

It's like, all right, we need to share. And we need to listen, okay? So that's the, if we, but in some ways, yes, it is the same message. He's like, if I put two fingers up, it either means we're running horns or are listening ears need to be up. I'm gonna tell you guys right now, I am the biggest Christian defender. I'm just pulling my, I've already, you're a kill. Remember, I bought him with all the, the auction, I bought him a crusader. I bought a crusader. I'm a Christian crusader. I'm a Christian crusader this year. Wow. Going on crusades. I'm going to be his biggest defender. I just think the guy, you know, the fan base turned on him. And I honestly blame the Nuggets organization as much as anything because they just did not, it was like, no, that his foot was completely destroyed. The contract was one thing, man. It was that his foot tore ligaments and then all of a sudden, somebody's calling me real quick, guys. Oh, it's spam. You want to answer? Potential spam. Dude, spam's calling you spam.

But so Christian though, so he just was injured less here. This guy though, I saw like a media day when he was, you know, saying like, what I consider to be all the right things, taking accountability and saying like, but I'm not going to let that happen. It's on me to do this and I'm going to do that. And there I saw comments like even on our YouTube page where people are like, oh, it's all fake providence. I said, I don't think it is at all. Well, yeah. I don't think it is one bit. I think Christian Brown is exactly this person who looks at it and just takes responsibility for the team. And his way of motivation is, I'm going to work harder, go be stronger, be tougher, and everything else. Calm down, Constantine. We got it, dude. I'm telling you, I want to crusade. I'm just going to take Jerusalem back for Christian Brown. I'm Christian. I'm Christian. We're looking for three state solutions. Why don't you sit in Crishtol's brown town? Anyway, so, sorry, that was good. You had to do it. I appreciate that. Yeah, no, listen, like, so Christian is currently being viewed. As I say, through the lens of now three very negative things.

Number one, he makes too much money. Yeah. Number two, he didn't play well the last time they saw them. And number three, he can be directly attributed to the reason Peyton Watson left. Okay, sure. I guess. So he has to earn his bravado back. And when people see him, they are reminded of those three negative things. And they don't, they don't see the positive. They will. All I see are the positives. I'm telling you, man, you're preaching the converted man. He's himself. Today it just was about being a tone center. And I thought he was actually really good at media. You made this reference as we were driving back over here from Boulder that he's actually getting better at media. And not just as in like he says, knows how to shield himself or this or that, but he's actually showing more of his personality in a way that you're like, you know what, I kind of enjoyed this guy. Yes. And he gave a great answer today when I asked him about role clarity. Like, you're a guy that knows your role really well and what people are supposed to do. Do you ever try to like tell other guys like, hey, man, here's what the team needs of you.

And he gave a very thoughtful answer about, no, man, everybody here should know why you were brought in. There's three guys. And then he goes forth one will give Cam one, which I just loved. Yeah. And then he's like, the rest of us are just here to play off of those guys. And I think our team, all the players understand that. I loved that it's such an implied thing to you know, he's like, I don't even think that has to be said. Yeah. He had an interesting perspective on it. He's like, if you're in this gym this year, they wanted you here for a reason. So you just have to sort of know that and stick to that. I do wonder if he is a guy who could, who maybe could talk to other guys though. This is kind of why I asked him. Even though I guess I would, he gave the right answer. And honestly, I think he also gave an honest answer. I don't think he gave an honest answer. I don't think he's over there telling somebody like, Cam Whitmore, hey, man, you know what? You should probably try to do this or that. I just don't think that's how the NBA works. No. You know what I mean? So I understood it. But I also did love his answer to your point about he's like, I think we all know when the truth is, I just think you know. I think you know. And I don't think you realize. And that's why you made $125 million.

But yeah, so I'm defending. You go ahead and knock him now. But don't you go ahead, do you lie and say all those terrible things you want to say about it? Well, first off, I've only insulted you. I am a Christian defender myself. I do think that he is going to have a big rebound season. We've talked about this all off season. He's been maligned in a way that is not fair. But what you guys are talking about, that just has to be earned. You got to be in the league long enough where people like, it starts with people coming to you asking for a lot of shirt. And if you just show up, you're like, oh, hey man, they're going to be like, do shut up. Yeah. But if, you know, like if Trevor and Brazil, my guy goes to Christian, he's like, oh, hey, how did you know how the ball's going to rebound? Or whatever. It's like veteran savvy and like, I mean, honestly, like I don't expect this of like 19 year old kids. No. That's that again, I always say this like, sports is a weird timeline because you have to become the most mature version of yourself in a very condensed, oh yeah.

The rest of us kind of get till 40, 50. You got to figure it out before you're 34. Oh, yeah, you get described as a grizzled veteran, like an old 29. Yeah, 29. And you're 20 years old. And you're like, all the highest Jones is a veteran. Yeah. You're a vet on this team. You're going to tell him like, when you're 28 years old, you're like, oh, did I pick my rent this last three months? Yeah. I just think the only thing that concerns me is obviously the foot. He's going to be asked about it a lot. He's asked about it today. You asked him actually. He said, I know you're saying you're good, but how do you feel after practice? And he said, I feel good. Here's the thing though. You saw him a lot last year. It was ice buckets and limping down the hall. He looked actually fine. He was weighted. He was the last one to give media availability. He had to kind of sit to the sideline. He was on his feet, shoes on. Like, I will give it to him. He didn't seem to be in pain after the practice. I agree. That's why I asked that question. And I wanted to ask specifically, how did you respond to practice? Because I know it was good coming in. It sure seems that way. It did not look like the same to me like last post-election.

He's like the reverse Kaiser Soze. He's like, and then he walks out. And then he walks out and starts hobbling. And what's his area? He honestly might be doing that. And that's like, even the question I asked, I was like, he just hates excuse making. Yeah. So he's going to be like, I'm fine. I'm like, I think like, all right. He wants people to just chill out. Again, I mean, that's maybe the most. Is he the most maligned member of the Denver Nuggets currently? I think so. My name is Zeke. Zeke? Zeke. Zeke, no. But they don't, I think that they're willing to look past Zeke. He just doesn't come up. Yeah, Christian, I think that they're... We have to go to break, but I will say, I think Christian is the guy who most, I think he would absolutely excel if he was on Delta Force. Oh, yeah. I was like, yeah. He's a liar like that. And that's why people are like, he's being on his son. So I'm like, I don't think he has, man. I just think his mind is like that. All right. Take a break on the other side, little stock report. I use Google Map, okay. Actually, not anymore. Back here segment three guys, let's get to a little stock report. Stonk, stock report, I will say. It's a graphic guest report. I will say, this is almost always a little bit of a silly exercise. It's really silly right now because. No way. This isn't excuse to talk about guys. Yeah, this is just saying this is Damon Nugget. Yeah, I'm just Damon Nugget. It's just, it's a quiet Damon Nugget right now. Yeah, we just gonna go, normally we talk about them after the game. We don't have games, we just go through. What do you think about this guy? Our classic game. But also, like, I have to say, man, because there's a here, it's like whose name have we heard this week?

There are some. The guys we asked about though, I'm just saying like, no way. No, no, I'm not saying all of them. I'm just saying sometimes every trade game. Well, he comes up a lot. Well, you asked nine times. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, oh, I don't know what's up. Every, they talk about Jalen Pickett, every single day. He was always not on the team. Every single time. It was for your Alpha D yellow comic, because you used like three examples and they were all from the one time I heard his name. And the question was, no, it was for the Alpha D yellow. This week, what can you tell us? No, I, well, what I, I, they put a clip up of Alpha D yellow. Okay. I heard a player mentioned Alpha D yellow and D.A. All right, I love it, man. I'm in for it. Training camp MVP from the last couple of years that we actually saw the least from during the season. Zeknaji was the training camp MVP like four years ago, if you recall that. And it was, we were, I feel like Julie is struggling with the training camp MVP last time. Got his teeth knocked out immediately. It's runaway, Kim, with more right now. Is that's runaway? So we'll start. Oh, two bass.

All right. A couple of years ago, he was so cute. We'll start with this. I do think that actually I don't know if he's the winner of, of trail, he might be. He has been talked about a lot. His athleticism popping, he could play for the Broncos, athletic profile is incredible. Says David Adelman. He's a very good player. He's big, strong, talented. I hope that he sticks. Aaron Gordon said that of him. Yeah. He's like, I, I'd love to go to Paris with that guy. Today was a good day for Cam. He said that on Tuesday, then today was a good day for Cam. Murray athletic downhill. So there's a lot of stuff here, man. And then to your point, Tyce Jones did mention about him specifically, what's gonna take, work ethic, being willing to learn from the guys in front of him, just being ready for the opportunity. So, but his name just popping, like I really do feel like him, one more has been one of the storylines. In an organic way, like we've asked about it, but he would have come up in it anyway. And he did. So yes, I think he, and look. He also looks great. He's, oh ridiculous.

It's actually kind of like, you think you know what Cam Whitmore looks like, and then you stand next to him and you're like, Jesus dude. Turn it. Yeah, you Cam Whitless. Terminator, just solid muscle. Look, this is a really exciting to a contract. Like, a lot of those guys have really hard ceilings on what they can be. I know. Cam Whitmore doesn't. Now there are four questions, but like, this was a first round pick with all the tools. And I just think it's a guy that like, in the best case scenario, and there are a lot of ifs, but in the best case scenario, this is a guy who could make the roster meaningfully better if he makes the team. Definitely. Definitely. Why couldn't he have an impact like a Keldin Johnson? Like just like a kind of a bruisery guy on the bench that can kind of do a little bit of everything. I mean, I think you have to be very clear with him what he needs to be doing and what he cannot be doing. Like, I don't feel good about players that matriculated with Jalen Green as their vet.

I feel great about that. Like, there's clearly, he's clearly come up like the wrong way. Yeah. But like what I was saying before, just hearing that his raw basketball skill is still impressive, even in days where maybe it doesn't fully translate. Just the fact that it's like, okay, we're still talking about like this unbelievably tantalizing prospect. Can we finally get him the right tutelage through Nikolay Yelkich? I feel like yes. I think so too, man. We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out. I'll tell you this, he might be my single most exciting player of the preseason. And I don't even know if he's gonna play like, is he gonna play on Sunday? Definitely. Think about it. Definitely. Why, he's a two way. Cause it's a preseason game. I know. But as you go on in preseason, you see more of those guys. I see, I see. I see there's one in line. Then what I think the start, we'll get to the stars probably play for a half. And then you're going to your bench and your third string, but are you going to your two ways there? Maybe, maybe not. I don't know. I bet he gets on, but it's a reasonable question.

I think the number two MVP of training camp so far, the runner up is probably Aaron Gordon. I agree with that. And we hadn't heard his name, I guess so much today, but he really, everybody was talking about him early on. And it's all the vet stuff, high level communication defensively and his ability to bring the ball up and all that stuff, but also Codelop. And David Adelman said it was good to see. And then he goes, no, I'm serious. It was good to see. It was like, is it an impressive dunk? I think if you ever feel like people in the local media are gassing Aaron up just a little too much, ask David Adelman about Aaron Gordon if you get the chance. He would take an hour if he could. He lists everything. When he talks about the kind of impact he makes having him back there on both sides to the floor, it has felt to me. Again, you piece things together from what you see here on the record, off the record. And it's not like they just pull a curtain open, you can see the whole picture. But I am strongly getting the sense

that there is a lot of Aaron going on right now from the summer in Puerto Rico to training camp. And I just think that's always a good thing to hear for Denver. Mr. Freakin nugget. Yes, it's beautiful. He should be gassed up to the end of the end of the earth. And he is after Yoke Chenmari, the most important. And actually the thing that makes those two dangerous in many ways, because if you don't have Aaron Gordon in that dunker, at least, or Alpa at the three point line, because he shoots, he breaks human physiology. Yeah. He shoots 80% from out there. That's right. When 40's the limit. When 40's the limit, their limit does not exist in the mind and world of Aaron Gordon. No, dude, it's like, people forget about, like, people forget. And Aaron Gordon is so good. Like this era truly began when we acquired Aaron Gordon. Yeah. And it's like, to hear him be centered, because they didn't have him.

And like, now they're like, when you do have him, you're like, God, this is so nice. Have you noticed this longer warm up and cool down? No, no. I asked him earlier. He said he was stretching. Yes, he had to. And that's a cool down. It was funny that he was stretching right by the media screw. He has a long cool down. There was a lot of court space to have done that or like to space. I was dealing with these guys that when he did that, I was like, I should probably lock in. Let me see what I can glean. And then it just, I realized I was just stayed in there watching guy stretch. You know what I mean? Yeah, he was doing nothing. Yeah, he was doing what happens to women at the gym. No, I wasn't. No, don't do that. Don't you always take the thing and then make it the thing I don't think that's a bridge here. Yeah, he had his little camera. He'd go on out and get it. He didn't see this thing. Oh, I'm not here. I'm not here. And by any way, you need me to spot you. No, I was looking normally. There just wasn't a lot going on. Who would you say now comes in third for a person you're kind of here in their name? I have two names for you. Tyus Jones, Marvin Bagley have come up a lot. I like this. And this is good. My daughter keeps calling me.

Look David Almond loves Tyus Jones. He just does. I mean, he was really vocal and Adelman was adamant about wanting the impact that Tyus Jones made in the playoffs last year. I don't. I'm going to say so. I don't remember. That's a good question. Look that up. I bet they have a prior relationship. Oh, yeah, because I think David said I've known him since he was a kid. I think you're 100% right. I think you're 100% right. I think you're 100% right. And so I think D-Line, David likes the idea more ball handling. He seems to like Tyus specifically. And I bet it's a lot of what he talked about today, man, which is when you're a coach, you're just looking for things you can trust, guys you can trust. And if a point guard is an extension of you on the floor, whatever that cliche means, like that's trustworthy to a coach. Yeah. I do think that he is definitely on this list for me. And it's kind of increased as it's gone on. I'm counting on Tyus to actually be good this year. I still have questions about him overall. Can he be your starter when if there's injuries or this or that?

Like there's things there. But I do think that he'll be very solid for this team. He was like averaging double digit points, 12 something the year before. Last year he got traded three. He got moved three times last year. He's kind of like Neymar too. You know what? Like it's kind of funny to have two. It really is just a smaller version. He's kind of like... Really? Tyus Jones and a smaller Tyus Jones. Oh, Neymar is smaller than Tyus Jones. Neymar is smaller than Tyus Jones. Yeah, D-Line. Oh, Neymar is notable. It's like, it's definitely smaller than Tyus Jones. Interesting. Neymar's small man. And it's not just the height. Like he's just not a big... They kind of have like a... I don't know how to describe it. They kind of have like a same like build or something. Yeah, but Tyus I think is even broader too. Neymar is like... He's very good at basketball. And seeing him person, I'm like, you're twice as good as I thought to make it this far at that side. Yeah, well that too. You know that a guy that is that diminutive by NBA standards that's in the league can shoot like a motherfucker.

Like that guy can... That guy can buck it. Right the report. I actually think if you say the full word. It's bad. Yeah. It's no, it's better. Yeah. Okay. To your point, D-Line, in 23-24 season with the Washington Wizards, 12 points per game, 7.3 assists. Yeah. No, he had like really good sets until last year where he got moved three separate kinds. Do you remember how we were in a holy war for that... He actually is better than Montaill because they were kind of the assist turnover in the... Yeah, and it was like... The Montaill. The Macriostos. You know what it was 24-25, the Sun's Gotham. Yeah. Everyone thought that was a coup at the time. Right. But they got him to be their starting point. And that was going to say, and that's I think how they got him, and that it was almost sort of like the beginning of like the... Now you're bouncing around places. Yes, because they're like all... Oh, we got Kevin Durant and Devon Booker. Yeah. It's like a starting point guard. And then they all thought they were the starting point guard. You might have mentioned this earlier though, but Tyus Jones, Lightcam Johnson, kind of talked about wanting to be here this year for the sake of continuity.

Yes. And I thought that was actually very interesting. I was kind of like an excitement to be back for what you just said. I bounced around a lot, but like, yeah, I like this group, and now I'm kind of excited to be part of the group. So... Well, when you... He's... That was new for him showing up halfway through his season. And especially if you're sort of a vet guy, you probably don't feel like you can walk around telling guys anything when you just got there. Not at all. But now when you're... Unless you're... Unless you're... Yeah, unless you're like Chris Paul or one of these guys that goes in, and then everybody hates him. And then you're... All of your accomplishments are removed from the team that you're most closely at. And I could Bradley be your number. And to play our option. Jesus. So you also mentioned Marvin Bagley here. Then you're right. David Adamson said he has some special skills. He says that he's a hard worker. Actually, this is Cam Johnson. He says, I've been with Marvin a little bit over the summer. So I see some of his work behind the scenes. He's definitely a worker. Adamson has said it in multiple days that Marvin Bagley was really good today.

He says he caught the ball tight at the elbow, top of the key places where you can really operate. Today he said he's rolling more dynamically towards the rim. It's about getting that timing down. So we just heard his name a lot. And then on top of that, I just say I kind of enjoy him as a guy as well. And he's been fun to interview. Super tall. He's very tall. So I think his name has popped up a lot in the way that I like you know what? I like this. I'm really, I'm really hopeful for this one as we talked about earlier. I'm really hopeful it's not hopeless. He's likeable. And I just, I don't know, man, this one just feels like I actually don't have any real analysis. I just feel like it just feels better, but I could be wrong. Yeah, it's like a fellow European. They come from the same place. Of course they're going to work well together, Val. Nope. Yeah, like I'm the thing that I like the most about Bagley is that was one of the, that was a very early on move. That was actually felt like a very competitive move that they made like other, there was a lot of interest in Marvin, maybe in the, the league wide and, and nuggets like made

a real play to get him, which I like. And I think it's hilarious that that family felt like the word, the name Marvin had to be carried out through time. You're like, I can't let this one go. Marvin. But I said, so weird observation. Yeah, well, I just thought I'm like, there's three Marvin Bagley's, I'm like, maybe a kid Marvin. But I am very excited for his play. I think he's going to be great. The guys at Indalus really liked him. The thing working here against Marvin is that like if you're big and you don't get to do the things you're good at, like a 10 minutes tin, but you did commit two personal fouls. It's just like congrats you suck tonight. It was like, if you got 20 minutes somewhere else, you're going to get time to make up for that or find your footing and you just don't when you're backing up, yo, kids. And so Marvin's numbers will probably be somewhat underwhelming this year, especially the advanced stuff, but I'm hopeful he's a good piece.

That's just the other way. Like you just got to be, I mean, that's the, the, the quest that nuggets are on. Can you spell neatly, yo, kids? Can he get enough time where it's not just an absolute disaster, unless he's on the floor. And if you can achieve that seemingly unattainable goal, like it's an absolute win for the nuggets. I will say, Ty's Jones going back to him real quick. One thing I forgot to say is that he mentioned his media availability today that he didn't, while he was with the team last year, he didn't really play with YoKit at all. Yeah. They played together during some of the scrimmages and app portions of it. And I'm told, and David Alman said the two-man game was really good with this. I bet Ty is like that. Yeah, but Ty is like that. But even Ty is mentioned about today about like, yeah, man, I haven't got to play with him. So it was fun. And then he kind of raved about YoKit. And he's like, I'm a guy that sees the game two or three steps ahead and he sees it, you know, that way. So, you know, it was cool. I would imagine that those you can figure out offense together. I know. He's like, hey, man, you want to drive my Ferrari for a little bit? He's like, that car is great. You guys know? He's like, yeah, we know.

It looks like zero to 60 real fast. No, every person on earth loves playing with YoKit. Yes, it's great. Having outside of that, you know, Cam Johnson, I feel like has gotten shouted out a lot, but in Cam Johnson ways, like he's been really solid. He's been really good. You know, this or that. Well, like there's been a little bit there. I don't feel like we've heard from a handful of other guys. YoKit deserves that YoKit. Ty is Jones today said was asked who played well and he was listing off guys and he said, well, YoKit's obviously. Yeah. I think that's just YoKit. He's always playing great, but it's not no worthy. You're not going to hear about it in training camp. The floor is the ceiling. Yeah. The floor is the ceiling for him. And it's like, yeah, the forgot to mention the building. Yeah, you're like, oh, no, really good title. A lot. Yeah, Ty has had four points. He's really balling out there. Oh, YoKit's at 50. Then Barbeque has been great. He held him up to 54 2014. He had the three rebounds. We thought that was cool. YoKit said 40. I think about when Adam and Laffingly pointed out last year, it was like, how is Cam for Drone Home? Well, he was guarding Jonas and YoKit. That's right.

I don't think he had a great time. This takes us to the other portion of this. And it's guys who I feel like we haven't really heard their name yet, this training camp or at least very much. I feel like Lonnie Walker has barely been mentioned. I asked about him once. So the one mentioned you got was a specific question. Yeah. Spencer Jones, not really, I haven't really heard from him a whole lot. And then he was out today. I feel like we haven't heard much about Bryce Hopkins or Trevor Brazil a whole lot. Trevor Brazil, dude. Me and the brussel of the Brazilians. Trevin, right? Trevin. Yeah. You did say Trevor by accident. Eric saying Trevin, right? Well, I just, I don't think I know what I'm saying. I saw you look away. I was like, I missed that up really. I was like, I can't wait to go back in here. I can't believe we could take you. Me and the Brazil nuts are going to be a breeder tape. Well, we did hear about them, but what we heard was that it's like, they've got a lot to go. Yeah. I do feel like Alfa Diallo got a mention today, which was nice. And he got a mention when he was asked the other time.

It haven't heard a ton from, you know, other guys. Doesn't mean anything. And then Jerome's, I feel like I just haven't heard the words to Ron Holmes. Other than he has a special skill shooting. Shoot. And he looks phenomenal. Well, trying to figure out how to get him more comfortable as a four, which might sound maybe surprising to some people. You should be a four. Yeah, you would think of him as a four. And Adam and actually thinks he's further ahead as a five right now because what the pick and pop unlocks against applaud voted defend. I feel like we haven't really heard a lot of Jamal talk either, but it feels like maybe a little bit by design. I think again, what have we heard is what they're trying to get him off the ball and have other guys bring the ball up. So I do think it's almost like by design less Jamal. So take all of this with a grain of salt. We're really getting about 15 minutes a day from random people. So some of this is just what happened to be an asked, what happened to have been talked about. But those are our notes. It looks like that's my like it's your foot up there. Oh, yeah, kind of. Look at that. Yeah, make it so it looks even more. That'd be really cool. All right. Anyway, my name was starting to hurt. Here we go.

It's going to swollen up over here. There we go. Yeah, we got it. Oh, hey, guys. This is the sit here. Wow. You like this? Yeah, it's awesome. It's good podcasting. I'm sure. Let's go to some fun stuff here to get you to your weekend. Shall we finally? I don't know if that was stonk report, but we just. We can say up or down for a single boy. No, we said the first guys were up at the end. No, guys, that were down. You get it the right way. Just saying you didn't see the game through. Well, you guys, it was name and nugget. It was name and nugget. No, I don't just agree. I'm just saying another one of our games breaks down to its very core. It's just say we think about something. We had a fun graphic. Before we get into what we want to see in this preseason game on Sunday, which will be the next time you guys see us. By the way, we will have a post game show for you. Before we get into that, this Mike Tomlin, Minecraft thing, I told you we have to mention this. I'm so into it.

Yeah. I actually love when guys have a hobby that you would have never guessed. And then that hobby is so pure. You see the clips of him talking about it or you just know about it broadly. I mean, I wouldn't say I was locked in, but I've locked in. You locked in? He locked in with me. I've seen clips. I've seen most of the clips. I also just want to say that this video on YouTube has been up for 24 hours. He has two million views. Two million. Millions. I'm telling you. It's 55,000 concurrent live viewers when I was watching. It was crazy. Crazy. Incredible, man. And just the passion he has for it. It's all what he's like Mike alone to me. You know, like if Mike alone was really into Minecraft, that's how mind blowing this would have been. I promise you he's not, but yeah, that would be awesome. Yeah, this is like, there will be there. He was in the grateful dead though. Remember how much he was in the grateful dead and that felt like such a curve ball. Yeah, that is true. That is true. Well, yeah, there are instances in art history where like a janitor has been painting for 50 years and nobody knew about it.

That's not a whole man. That's good. Well, not to go. No, this is the actual. So there are things like people have like this whole thing that they do just for themselves. Yes, it's like so intense. But my funny, the thing that I thought was funniest about it, you maybe want to agree is like how deeply banal it was. Yeah, that's the best part. It's like, it's just like he like poured his brain out and he came up with just like a mid-size city that responsibly that was already taken this way. Yeah, exactly like that. The guys are so pretentious. No, the main artist right here. Yeah, cool. Not a visual artist. I'm saying my comments, not and you're holding them to that stand. Yeah, because he's like, oh, you're like the most boring person on earth. You're like, we're going to give you a spending spring and get whatever you want. He's like, I bought some light beer. I'm going to picture of a sailboat and put it all the while. He put a query on everything. To me, this is the right shot of you guys.

It's a don't even try making it. It's all I do. My top would made it. It does not look like it. Yeah, it does. You guys, of course, that's why it's funny. To me, that's why it's so funny. It's like just so deeply unremarkable, but he's like so intimate and he's like, oh, I got an aquarium here. Look over here. No, the aquarium. That's the bad part. And like the only thing he put any effort into were bathrooms and bedrooms at least the run. And it's like all this stuff. You're like, that's what you're fucking interested in. No, I need someone to find out. Does he even own an aquarium? Probably not. Yeah, he's like, oh, he's like. He's only in my craft, but not in my life. He's like only in my wildest dreams. Can I have an aquarium in my penthouse that's his place? I loved how much time. Of course. And talking about a versus train set. Yeah, I love totally is. I love how it felt like also being in a film session with him too at the same time. Yeah, totally. He had his coach cadence going and everything. No, he's way here. He's coming up to go in. But you really does feel like a guy. He goes to his basement. He has a huge Lego city.

But it's a ver- but he literally just built like- Like how a child draws a building. Like, here's a square. There's a square. And then they pull both of you out. There's no contextual detail in that. My favorite part was how much he thought about it as if he- That's what I'm saying. He's like, he's like, well, this is the MLS stadium. And naturally, we needed three booths. He's trying to build like walkable neighbor. It's so hard. There's no streets. How walkable? There's no internet. They're not connected by anything. But he's just like, oh, man. I wonder if- think I want to freak it out on this one. I'll give this one balcony. I love it. And then I- I absolutely love it. Hey, oh, God, you gotta come over. I got some new trees I planted down to my- I'm a tree. Farming the basement. I almost has David today if he plays Minecraft. Oh, for sure. Oh, that would have been so good. I can really do this. Yeah. But then he opened with his thing and is like, I don't know what to do. I just feel like maybe he doesn't want to hear it right now. History channel 5280, dear diary, forgot to pack a shirt for work, had to buy one at Ross. Went sparring at lunch, forgot the new shirt there, had to go back to Ross to buy another shirt.

Also Spencer. No! What a- what a not-tober second entry. Dude, I lost that. That was a super- super-trained thought. Going back to Ross twice is awesome. Dude, double Ross up. JD Calvert 22. I have five other things to do right now. I'm stuck here listening to DNVR. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. I can't believe I had to kick back crap open. Crap, crap open. Crack open. Crap open. I'll listen to the fellas on a beautiful Friday. My life is so rough. That actually sounds awesome. That actually sounds awesome. I was you for the last hour. Dude, I just made me want to crack open a cold one. I didn't want to do it. I want to be watching these guys. I want to crap open a cold one. That too. That too. Oh boy. Max Otter celebrates 13 months of membership. That's over a year, thank you. The nuggets, this camp are giving me the vibe. They're taking this year extra seriously. Everton, the team seems to have something big to prove. Jeremy J. Rock celebrates celebrating 12 months of membership. Happy year. Demardta Rosen is going to be the pick up of the off season. Like Russ and Timmy on serious juice. There's a chance honestly. Huge chance. It would be the 30 year in the row that Denver's got that right on the minimum.

Dude, that's not even like an underground type. He's a multiple time all star that is taking a lesser role than he's ever had. He's going to be amazing. Which way in him and Cam Whitmore though? New hair profile kind of sneaking into the nuggets. Well, they're not part of the team yet. I don't think that's going to be the official one, but if one other person shows up with that, I'm just telling you to watch for the two of them to become unkempt. That's the negative official hairstyle. Unkempt. You're right. They're playing basketball. You know what I mean? There's no judgment. I'm just saying like Jamal Murray kind of leads the, you know, yeah, Jamal Murray's froze looking great. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it like I was definitely going to gain second项 and find there's really a

CO2W 200 million Dollars like, you know I'm so happy to be like, oh, I likegieCu now years and I love you. We had so many expressions just to be a second项目 Lots of heart- ту in the vault
