If you, your parent, or spouse served in the military, you could join our family. Our members saved an average of $70 a month on auto insurance when they switched. Tap the banner or visit usa.com slash join today to check your eligibility, restrictions apply. President Barack Obama Virginia, we are counting on you. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years, but you can stop them. By voting yes, by April 21st, help put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians. Vote yes, by April 21st. Paid for by Virginians for fair elections. All right, let's get to it. We got our show, ladies and gents, to get into Friday. Nice. Smackdown. And Saunty, I guess, are we coming out of this at all? In any sort of world, are you at all shocked that Cody Rhodes has, once again, got in his
WrestleMania spot and is going on to face Randy Orton? Are you asking me if I'm surprised? No. I am still excited for Randy versus Cody Rhodes, don't get me wrong. I just felt like there was an opportunity to really just punch us in the gut, to punch us in the side of the head and do something different, you know, get McIntyre in there, get fought to in there, do a big Smackdown main event fatal for way. I thought that was on the table, but in the back of my head, I always knew this was the destination. Randy versus Cody is a proper WrestleMania main event. The only thing I will say is if you really want to, as WWE has clearly been needing to, you want to move tickets, you need to turn one of them heel. You can't walk into WrestleMania with Buddy Buddy, Randy versus Cody, one because we've actually kind of already seen that. A lot of people like to chew away the night of champions, King of the Ring Final, but
we already saw the two buddies trying to figure out who's the best between the two. Now I want to see his storyline here. Now I want to see them go back to the time of when they were in legacy, and I want them to tell that story, because that ended up poorly, right? That imploded. I want to see a proper narrative. I want there to be a good guy. I want there to be a bad guy, or at the very minimum, blur the lines, you know, make me believe that each one of these guys could dive into a more sinister, darker side in order to win this match. I just don't want the like, hey, dapp it up, let's see who is the best, give me something. Because this is a storyline in a feud that Denise, we have been waiting for years, years, years. And I do feel that they've kind of forced it to get here, like, oh, shit, we need to get here somehow. If I could just give the title back to Cody, even though in a match that makes no logical sense for it to actually happen, because there's an actual literal contract that says Geek
that his match can't happen, but forget it. All right. We're here. Now do something with it. That's what I want. Give me something now. Well, Santi, let me tell you, when you said that someone needs to be healed because you don't want none of this, we respect each other, we love each other, sportsmanship, yada, yada, yada. We know they respect each other. We got that part. Randy has told that to Cody Rhodes about a hundred times. Now I hate to say it. We've said it a million times, but we've been seeing these backstage moments between Cody and Sammy where they have like this crazy, they're almost like this couple, Santi. This is the way that I see them. They seem like this couple that can't stop fighting. They both are kind of making sense in their own ways. They might both have good intentions, but the heat of the argument is getting in the way of everything. And I feel, I feel like those glimpses that we've seen of Cody's backstage with Sammy,
those might be the moments that you're starting to wonder about Cody and his personality and whether or not if you're talking about somebody having to turn heal in this matchup with Cody or Randy, is it more money for Randy to be that guy or is it more money for Cody to be that guy or might we see something similar to what we're seeing with Roman and CM Punk where they're both kind of toting that line between baby face and heal because if you ask me, after CM Punk, you know, saying the things about Lane, Roman, rain next to his father who passed away, that is something he'll shut right there. So what if we kind of see both Randy and Cody maybe go from like, hey, we love and respect each other. So you know what, you actually make me sick and I'm tired of being in your shadow and hey, you thought you were better than me all of these years and I've now made a vented what more WrestleMania than Randy or is he tied with Randy? He has, no, he's made a vented more so he's had four. There you go. So so so Cody can kind of, you know, throw some jab similar to that where you could be
like, I'm not in your shadow, Randy, Randy, you because Randy's the guy that many people know like back in the day, you know, if you wanted to see if you were going to make it in WWE, they would put a guy against Randy and if he failed in a match with Randy, that guy was out the door, you know, Cody was out there being freaking star dust while Randy was being, you know, everything he was being. So yeah, I feel like there's a lot in there and I remember when when Cody Rhodes came back in WrestleMania, Santi, they had this big press conference that day and the first thing, of course, people were asking Cody, when do you think we're going to get that match with you and Randy? And I swear since that moment all the way through now, he has been asked multiple times when this match is going to happen. So I think that no matter what, this was always going to be the match. I know sometimes we don't always give credit to WWE for having things planned ahead of time. I'm starting to think that this was planned the entire time all the way through.
That's just where I'm out with all of this. It just, I agree that this was always the plan. If this was always the plan though, why couldn't you have made the road to get to that plan make sense? Again, why do this Cody can't challenge for the title because it's in the contract, but then Nick Aldous can just be like, oh, no, you went back on your word. So I go back on my word to which I point like it wasn't a fucking word. It's a contract. It's law. Come on. Like Drew, get a lawyer. This isn't, you know, called better call Saul here. So why do, you know, why even put that in there, you know, if you always had the plan to eventually give it back to Cody, it's, it's nitpicky. But you and I, and honestly, everyone listening to, to, to this show, we are the nitpicky fans because we are the ones that invest hours and hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars of our money into this hobby.
So frankly, I'm going to fucking nitpick, we're, we're, we've earned our nitpick and I'm going to nitpick that if it was always the end goal. Why put yourself in a weird, unnecessary corner with the storytelling to get us to this path anyway? Well, they tend to do that all the time. They're constantly rewriting the rules. They're constantly, I mean, God, the second I was, I remember, okay. So the second that we started the elimination chamber, post show and everybody was commenting that this match was made for Smackdown, I thought, oh, well, then it doesn't matter that Cody Rhodes lost the elimination chamber because he's going to win on Smackdown. And I kind of felt like, I felt a little bit, uh, uh, screwed, I guess you can say because I'm thinking to myself like this big portion not only happened on this post show, but this was such a bit much bigger indication of what is going to happen at WrestleMania than
the actual fallout that we saw a playout on the show itself, which I thought was kind of crazy that that went down the way that it did. But it's saunty. A lot of people are caught like making foot like, you know, playing jokes and jazz that like, hey, that interview that I did with Drew McIntyre had the frickin spoiler. Remember, I told you I said, dude, his answer was a little weird man. And from that moment, saunty, that's when I started to think, okay, this is going to go a totally different direction. I think that they just didn't want, I don't think they wanted Cody winning the elimination chamber to be so predictable. I think they were trying so hard to be unpredictable that that's why they got to Randy and Cody the way that they did. I know I get it, but it also feels unnecessarily complicated. It feels like they robbed the consequences of losing at the elimination chamber. Like I think about the story that they were telling with Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes.
Like, oh, you know what, sorry, Sami, you didn't take advantage. That's why I'm champion because I take advantage of these situations, right? That's why I have won championships and you haven't. And then what happens when Cody makes the exact same mistake rather than being punished like Sami Zayn has been in his storyline and trying to find himself. And we don't see that same consequence for Cody instead. It's just like even though he makes the exact same mistake that he was ridiculing Sami for. The consequence of that is he just gets a title match again. It's, I get it, we're just trying to get to the end goal. Cody versus Randy, that's a fucking awesome end goal. I just wish we had a, we could have made it make a lot more sense and not over complicate things on our way there. And frankly, damage the main event of elimination chamber by killing the consequences of Cody Rhodes making the same mistake that Sami made.
Damn. So now do you feel like Sami's just justified in his anger when he, because he's been doing those outputs. Do you think he's justified now? I think he's been justified actually the whole time that I actually, I get angry every time he apologizes after his, his outburst because I think all of them are justified. See, I'm trying to get you back on Sami's side too, because yes, he is right. And I was wondering two of you would see Sami out there because Randy told them today like, listen to the voices in your head. So now I'm wondering, okay, what are those voices going to be? And then also now for some of you guys who may be wondering what the hell is going to be next for Drew McIntyre. I still think now that they're going to do Drew versus Jacob Batu. I don't know if they add Sammy to that. Do they add Sammy to that? I think Sami's going down the route of trick Williams. Yeah, what trick Williams does need a WrestleMania matchup. So oh, and then and then trick took the RKO today from Randy. There was, you know, there were some people that are upset about how trick has been sort of been treated the last few, like the last few weeks, I guess, you know, he had been
eliminated by Logan Paul at the elimination chamber, which I freaking hated by the way. And then today getting archaed by Randy, that I did not mind whatsoever because it's Randy and Randy's Randy. So I didn't care for that. But I thought that was kind of sick, like him going out there and still having that moment and getting in Randy's face. Denise, if you hear anyone complaining about their, their, their, their, their bearing trick Williams, they're not using him well enough. That right there is a telltale sign that that person just got into wrestling. This is their, he's in the main event immediately after getting called up from NXT and you think he's getting buried that they're not using him well? May I show you the role of decks of NXT main eventers that got actually fucking buried? You want to talk about Johnny Gargano? Johnny Gargano where he's that right now? Yes, yes. Yeah, if you are concerned that they're not using trick Williams, right? I politely and with so much respect tell you to fuck off because there is so many worse
examples of people actually getting buried from call up for NXT. Dude, you want to know what the craziest thing I saw and this is when I was like, okay, I need to not pay attention to everybody. I was on Twitter, probably when was it maybe like a month ago? I saw an account with a post go viral when someone said get this. They're treating Roman Reigns like a jobber. They were saying that Roman Reigns being pinned at WrestleMania by Cody Rhodes made him into a jobber. And I thought to myself, what now? Main event, WrestleMania, jobber, all in the same sentence? Huh? What? It's, I think that for like a green saucy, that was the worst part. I know the quote retweets and people were a green. I didn't really lost my mind. I didn't respond or anything, but I saw it. I feel like that's a breed of really young wrestling fans that believe if you're not winning
the world title that you're buried, which is just, it just makes absolutely no sense. Because that would technically mean that the only person that doesn't get buried is the dude holding the championship. That's so stupid. But I did not like Logan Paul defeating a pinning taken out. Oh, I'm with you. I was so mad during that I was like, oh, please. All right, we got a couple of comments in here. We got a cool fool in 1980 here who says, pull a WrestleMania 20 main event and have a contract signing. Have Drew and Tyrupe signed the contract that make it a triple threat. No, guys, like this is it. This is it. Contracts don't matter. That's what we learn. What are we signing? If Nicole, this is just going to be like gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen, fuck your contracts. I don't care. No. A-F-O, they're going to do that. Contracts are pointless. Thank you so much, cool, fool. We got Chavera Armenta here who says with Denise, housing, cursing, Drew and Santi, banning, Sancho. We got to be careful here. Also, Santi, get that oil ready. Jelly going to be on SmackDown next week. Oh, God.
Oh, God. Thank you, Chavera. We got Jay and Gwen who says, well, Drew is seemingly in another, in another nothing feud. And if in the past five years are anything to go by, I can only assume he is going to lose yet again. I wouldn't call a feud with Jacob Fattu, the nothing. Like, Jacob Fattu has been pulling his weight around. And I think they're going to have, they're probably going to have the sleeper match of WrestleMania. At least fingers crossed that they do, man. Thank you, Jay and Gwen. We got Josh Gilbert here who says, this is just for the hilarious blue shoe promos. Oh, it's Santi. I went off the rails today. Look, once you get me going, like I cannot stop. So don't do not get me going on the blue shoe stuff. Thank you, Josh. We got infamous for her. Look, it was said, Santi, do you, Santi, do you like them big and chunky? Is that, is that a Madagascar reference? Motomoto likes you. I like them big. I like them chunky.
I called that. That scared the shit out of me. That's been my new little thing that I've added to the show. That's good. It fits for everything. You got meaty wrestlers or you're making, you know, dick jokes, anything thrown in there. It works. Short, short, short. Shout out to Motomoto. Thank you for Miss Rigger Local. We got Jay, I'm here. It says, Sammy is going to realize that Kevin is right off. Kevin Owens, man. I'd love to see him again. Thank you, Jay, and we got Jay, Jay. He says, so happy we finally get Cody versus Randy at WrestleMania, along with Roman versus Punk. Both matches should be great. I hope this WrestleMania can still build momentum. I think they're getting there. Santi, do you think they're getting there? You had, we had Jade and freaking Rhea today that you can cut the tension in half. And then you also had a live and Stephanie. You got Cody and Randy, Roman and CM Punk. Am I forgetting anything else?
I know I am. But those are the big four matches that we're really sinking our teeth into right now. Do you think that's enough to start getting this ball rolling? I mean, yeah. I mean, I do feel like we're behind, but I still feel like there is enough time and there's enough runway here to let the ball fully roll here. I think there's a lot of people are wanting to completely throw this WrestleMania by the wayside. The reason for that is the last three WrestleMania have had a really strong build, even going into elimination chamber and then obviously post chamber. This one feels a little bit more traditional. The mania is in the 2010s and in the 2000s. The build didn't really get going until four to five weeks out from WrestleMania. I feel like we just kind of got used to the longer build to WrestleMania. I think that this might be a year where it's a little bit more traditional where the real beef, the real heat really gets going closer to the show, like, let's not forget.
For example, Lesnar, he's not going to be around until March 16th. So we still, that's a big program that we have to wait on. So I do think that this still has legs. There's a spider that's falling down here. So let's stunts his limb. I still think that we have plenty of runway to make this exciting. Yeah. Also, I think it's good that for the last four RAWs before WrestleMania, we're going to have Roman there every week. So I think once we kind of get into that 30 day period ahead of WrestleMania, that's when we're really going to start jazzing things up. But I feel like they are getting that ball rolling, though. Thank you, JJ. We got Rodel, a PPB here who says, Denise, you're forgetting, Alistair is trying to bring the voices out of Randy also in Cody versus Randy match. Randy regrets not punting Cody. I hate to say this, but Alistair Black, I'm a big fan, but I think right now he's just kind of like off to the way side. Like, I'm not really even counting on him, like really taking part in any of this at the
moment, sadly. And then Randy regrets nothing punting Cody, I would kind of like that, I wouldn't hate that whatsoever. That'd be kind of cool. I think Alistair is missing the, I think Alistair is going to miss Mania. No, oh, yeah, I don't think he's going to be on there. We got nothing happens, 96, no offense to Drew, but when half WWE ever shown they wanted Drew to be their headliner in the last three years, the title reign was the best Drew got sadly. See, here's the thing, though, is that Drew's been doing a good job, though, like I don't think Drew has done a bad job whatsoever. I just think that they're kind of, they were already set in their ways with what they were going to do, that they kind of didn't even really bother to kind of put Drew higher up. Like, I feel like that was as high as they were going to go, but I don't think it was like a, against Drew, it's just that they just have the favor, I don't want to say favor because Cody does deserve it. But when they have Cody Saunty, I get it, I get it, Cody's moving merch, Cody's very
popular. We get it. But I also think that Drew, I also noticed that there was people that were kind of fed up with Drew's reign, which kind of sucks because I don't think people kind of gave it, like it was two weeks in and people were already complaining about Drew Mac and Tyre's reign. And that's one of the things that I've been noticing now when Cody won the title, everybody was like, Oh, Cody's reign sucks. Then Drew, then you know, John Cena takes the title, okay, totally different situation, whatever. Cody gets back the title. Oh, this is boring. We're not going anywhere. Drew gets the title. We really want Drew. Drew gets the title. Oh, now this is boring. And now it's like everything has to such a short shelf life and it's like that kind of sucks. You know, we got to let it give it a second to simmer. But because it was WrestleMania season, it feels like it was Drew kind of got rushed where it was like, you either make a bang right now or you don't. Yeah. I mean, I get where nothing happens 96 here is coming from.
It always does kind of feel like, okay, cool. We'll put the title on Drew. But we know we're not going to fully take them to the promised land. He's kind of just our placeholder until we're ready to go to the thing that we really had planned the entire time. I always kind of felt that about Drew McIntyre's championship reign sadly. I also get where you're coming from like Cody's Cody, right? Cody's the guy. And I do think that maybe if we were in a different situation, if we were in a WrestleMania, that was, man, this thing's already selling gangbusters. This thing is already selling out. We need no help selling tickets. They might have been able to, they might be more willing to have risked with a Drew McIntyre headlining. But I think because this is a year where they're hitting the panic button, we need our biggest stars in the biggest positions to sell tickets. Hence why if you look at the rumble at the rumbles and the elimination chambers, it was all the biggest, most established stars winning Rio Ripley, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns,
Liv Morgan. They didn't do anything crazy. They didn't allow anybody that might be like a dark horse or just like, no, we just need to get our biggest names in the biggest positions to be billboard headliners to move as many tickets as possible. So it could be a maybe wrong time, wrong place for Drew McIntyre's championship reign this year. It was another year, maybe previous year, then maybe we could have gone away with it, but this was the year WWE is in panic mode and their panic mode is not to experiment. Their panic mode is to go to the known proven ticket mover, sadly, and Cody is that. Yeah, sorry, Drew, damn, all right, thank you, nothing happens, 96. We got to envy the engineer who says when the creative doesn't exist, you put Cody in the main event again, I get it, but damn, can we do something else, please? Also, who's dead? Who's the damn heel? Another order and turn again, tired of that, no, it'd probably be Cody. I think that's the way you kind of shake things up or you kind of do a little bit of both where they tow the line and see who really is the big bad wolf.
All right, we got big head Carl here who says I'm starting to regret buying a $600 WrestleMania ticket after this. What? What? Really? No way. You're getting Cody Randy. I just, I'm honestly, I gotta tell you, I'm a little surprised by the pushback towards this. And I think people would be happy because they weren't into Drew's reign like from what I was seeing. You know what? I think if we had to flip the switch, I bet people would be more okay with this if Randy was going in as the champion versus Cody. If they had a done somehow Randy won this match instead of Cody and Cody had one chamber, I feel like people would have been a little bit more on board. I think that there might just be a bit of Cody fatigue specifically. I don't think that there's necessarily hate for the idea of Cody versus Randy. But I think that there would be less of this backlash that you're seeing. If we got Cody versus Randy, but Randy was the one going in as the champion as opposed to Cody. I feel like you'd be getting a lot less of this pushback.
But don't, don't people want to see Randy defeat Cody because I'm presuming he's defeating Cody at WrestleMania. Are you? I'm not. Yeah, I am. Okay. I think Randy should defeat Cody. I mean, I don't disagree. Do you see WWE giving Cody a one month title reign? Yes. And now it's why because he's been championed. How many times now since he defeated Roman? What? This would be his third time. This is his third time. Yes. Right. So the third time, this is the third time. Do you really got to go way longer than that? Maybe not. I think Randy. I like short championship reigns. I'm with you. I don't see it. I still see them keeping it, keeping it on Cody. Do you want to know why I also think that they might go with Randy because they're also going to try to sell the idea of who will Randy catch up to John Cena 17 title wins. And there's another selling point for Randy. Another marketing way to sell Randy, hey, Randy's getting closer to that number. Is it going to happen?
Is it going to happen? And that makes me think, okay, while you get one over right there with Randy and there is that Cody fatigue from people. And there, it's so crazy to say that because you have Cody fatigue, but then you also have Cody who's who's also very popular. So make what you will of that. But I do think it would be kind of fun to have Randy kind of have a title right maybe all the way through to SummerSlam doesn't have to be that long. I just think that it could happen. And I think it should. I think Randy should defeat Cody at WrestleMania. I'm with you. I think the Cody fatigue, you and I are going to hear it a lot more because I think the Cody fatigue or the fatigue of the babyface always comes from the hardcore fan, you know, the ones that watch online podcasts that will probably watch our videos. But I don't think you're going to hear the Cody fatigue in the arena that I don't think I don't think we're ready there. I don't think that I don't think we're at the, let's go Cody, Cody sucks type of divide that we had from seeing. I don't think that's going to happen.
By the way, thank you so much big head Karl. He also got his son botla who says Sammy's dissent is cinema. I was legit stressed about what he might say next. They better not ruin it with black and vega, though I like them. Yeah, I like them too, but it just kind of doesn't feel that interesting right now. The son botla also says main event was great. I don't care about the story anymore. Who the champion ended up ended up match was five stars. I'm a sicko. So hopefully Cody and Randy give us a banger. I think they will. I really think and I'm looking forward to the promos between them because like we mentioned earlier, there is a lot of history between them. Cody got to see Randy really grow like really grow up like he's known him for such a long time and we know we've heard stories of a Randy's past and now he's a totally different person and Cody got to see all of that. Thank you, Hassan. We got the Juan G show who says son to you see who's returning to smack down next week. Get that oil house and ready, bud low. What do you think? Okay. I mean, I feel like we talked about the main event here. What do you think they're doing here with jelly? Please, I mean, please, I don't give a shit what they're doing with jelly roll.
Sorry, sorry, I just don't care. I just do not care. Like I already got Irish saw in the match. It happened. Cool. I'm past it. But they're going to do something. They're going to have a celebrity and I think it's, I think it's jelly. I don't think they're going to get bad bunny this year. No, he seems busy. I'm assuming if they're bringing him back, this is now back to back episodes that have featured jelly roll. By the way, last week, he was in the audience this week, a prerecorded message, this upcoming episode. He's going to be there. He's I presume in a character role as opposed to just being in the audience of their announcing him. It's a match, right? It's got to be a WrestleMania program. If they're introducing him at this point at this juncture, it's got to be a mania program. Maybe he gets cursed by Dan Housen. That's the Miz. He's already there. Oh, yeah, that's true. I don't know because I try to think to myself what would be interesting and I can't find anything. Like my brain has been searching this whole time.
I'm not finding anything. I'm not finding anything either. Oh, but Femi takes out jelly roll. Oh, but Femi versus jelly roll. I'm just kidding, guys. I'm just kidding. Like I think of like people that would work well with jelly roll, but like I think like immediately for me in my head, Solosakoa comes to mind. I think Solosakoa could actually put a really great program together with jelly roll, but he's busy right now with MFT. I try to think of other heels. I think Trickwillie is going to be busy. I don't know. I don't know what the jelly roll program is. Him? Well, he calls him toxic. I don't know. Maybe? Yeah, maybe. I mean, I'm just thinking of Mania, right? What are you going to do with jelly roll? He had such a great performance at SummerSlam. I just don't know what the path is, what the match is, what the program is. I can't see it. Maybe he doesn't have to have a match. Maybe he can just have like a bit, like a segment. Could be, could be a Mania 39 situation with, uh, with Bad Bunny where he didn't have
a match. He had a segment, a bit where he helped Rey Mysterio win and then backlash was Bad Bunny versus Damien Priest. Maybe it's something with jelly at Mania, not a match, maybe something that sets them up to have a match in Tampa, in backlash, maybe. Maybe he becomes the host of WrestleMania. Oh, I could see that I could, no, I mean, I could see that. I'm serious. I could see that. I just don't, I, I'm having a tough time connecting a match right now. Yeah. Yeah. Same, same. It's just this not, I, I, for me, it's like once I see it one time and if I'm not like a big fan of that person, I just don't care anymore the second time around. Thank you. Juan G show. Uh, we also got out around Dell PPB here who says that Drew kept screwing over Cody and both the rumble and the chamber. The stipulation was Cody had to earn it, but Drew messed it up and kept getting interference. He also goes on to add it was not the same mistake Drew attacked Cody, uh, Drew attacked Cody and Cody defended himself and then got RKOed, Sammy helped Cody when he didn't
have to and then lost. He says, I love how I can respond to the points of the podcast and respectful manner and have fun talking wrestling. Keep up the good work. Both of you. Thank you, Reddell. Well, that was part of the, your argument is part of the reason why Nikkele just decided to go about things the way that he went about things, but hang on. He's incorrect. Randy did help Cody. Right? Randy. Oh, I see what he means. It's, it's a little bit backwards. Randy helped Cody and it was also Randy that beat up, and anyways, whatever. It still doesn't make sense because it's a fucking contract. You just, we can't change contracts on the way on a whim like that. Thank you, Reddell. We got V22310 who says if Jaden Rhea are two alphas, let them be that too much respect talk. Promo didn't get halfway decent till Rhea actually started talking about fighting. Did you like the promo because I got to be honest with you. I was digging it and the beginning, I was like, where are we going? Because in the beginning, the part I wasn't so sure about was when they were like comparing
each other. It's like physics. Your body, you might have a bigger shoulders bigger. That was bigger. It is. Somebody in my chat said something hilarious. I'm like, imagine listening to that portion of the promo just like when you're in bed with your eyes closed. Yeah. There's no wrestling context. You're just listening to two people talk about each other's bodies. It's weird. It was a weird promo. Your legs are strong, but mine are stronger. It was weird. It was, I didn't like it. I mean, I liked it. Maybe it was weird, but I get why they did it though. They wanted just to set up the line where Ria says that hers is, if that part I thought was good when she said that hers was to fight and to survive and hers was just for, for looks. What do you think about the fact that it seems like they're just like, okay, we are not going to lean into the Twitter beef? I think they kind of did lean into the Twitter be it away. No way. No. No. I'll tell you how.
How? And Ria said the line about her, her physique being like the thing that she has, but her basically saying like, that's all it is it's just for looks. I'm the one who actually uses it to fight and to survive. She was basically saying, Jade, you're not good in the ring. That's what that line meant to me. And that connected to the, that connected to the online drama because that's what I think that was the shot that Piper had thrown at her where she had said something about a you know, Jade not being good in the ring and her getting exposed blah, blah, blah. So in my mind, I felt like that subtly did sort of connect to the social media beef that they were having. But I thought that the beef came like the reason it was like, oh, I guess this is real is the shot about how Ria politics and like you spending time with the creative team politic or whatever. And meanwhile in this promo, you had Jade going out there, you know, I respect that
you earned your opportunity and you won elimination chambers like, okay, then that doesn't actually connect with what you believed on Twitter, which is that she doesn't earn her opportunities that she just goes to creative and politics for those opportunities. I feel like you are wanting to find the connection to the online beef. Oh, you're saying I'm making this all up in my head. I think so. I think that the line of like my body is for fighting doesn't to me to me. It did. I mean, it doesn't scream that you're saying that her body isn't good for professional, right? I don't know. I'm not connecting the dots like you are there. Okay. I totally did. To me, she was saying, you're not good by saying that way when you just that would hit so much harder than the weird five minutes of talking about each other's muscles, just to set up for that. Look, well, I mean, you're not going to, that's a terrible thing to say. You suck at wrestling in a promo, then it's like, oh, bury the whole match up.
How's anyone going to get excited about that? So you've got to find a different way to say it without actually saying it. And that's how I took that. I don't see it that way. I just think it was, it was just a weird problem. Okay. Well, anyways, you know, Santi, my arms and our bigger and stronger than yours. And I can punch harder and, oh, with a part where she said, oh, you know, if you give me your best shot, it's not going to do anything. But if I give you my best shot, it's going to go somewhere, basically saying her shot suck. Mine don't because I'm a real wrestler. That's how I took that promo. I think you're reaching. I'm not seeing it. I'm just not seeing it that way. That's it. I like thought it right away. The second she said it, I'm trying, I'm not just being facetious or annoying. I just don't see the dots you're connecting. Okay. Okay. Fine.
Fine. We got two totally different things from this promo, by the way. Thank you so much to be true. We got suicide cowboy who says, yo, Denise, you and Santi should make a wager on the outcome of WrestleMania, Randy versus Cody and Roman versus punk. Honestly, the last time we did this, I defeated Santi. The last time we had a wager and you paid your debts like 50 years later. But I paid. Nestor always pays his debts and might be late. But I paid. All right. Thank you. Suicide cowboy. He also says also, Santi be prepared. I think jelly's showing up to set up a match at WrestleMania hashtag oil up hashtag. Santi Zadi. That's a weird hashtag. I don't like that hashtag. I don't like that hashtag. Thank you suicide cowboy. We got Ryan Sully here says, damn, prayers for Conan. Oh, wait, what? I did not see this Ryan Sully says, prayers, damn, prayers for Conan was recently hospitalized and now has now has to have one of his legs amputated due to medical complications. What? I'm sorry. I did not see that on social media.
I have to look at that. Thank you, Ryan. We got pulley here who says, can we talk about the new tag team number one's contenders, the wapocking and the never seen truth? That told me everything I needed to know. They got no plans for Damien Priest. I think it's, I think they're going to just find a way to get a month of the Maniacard. What I'm seeing here is they're going to put Damien and our truth in a tag team championship sponsored match on the pre show. You know how they're doing at that extra hour? It discrees that first hour on ESPN 2 for that one. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's true. That is true. Thank you, pulley. We got Ryan Rimsen here who says Drew clearly is in a main event guy shaking my head. I don't even think it's that. I think it's just the fact that like you said, saunty. Any other time, any other place, maybe, but not this WrestleMania, which I guess is a bad thing to say. Damn, thank you, Ryan. We got David Primero here who says Cody sucks.
He's a fake blood nepo baby. Damn, damn, he says unfair for Drew. He should have kept the title. I will be more angry of Roman wins at WrestleMania punk needs to win more. This one's difficult to because here's the thing. When you insult somebody's dead relative, if Roman doesn't defeat punk after that line, don't you think that makes Roman look bad? Like, oh, man, like the guy who made fun of your dad passing and basically saying he's gonna lay you next to him. And you couldn't defeat that guy. Depends if he brings up the dead dog that that's also pretty bad. I know people are waiting for it. People want it. People want that line. You gotta bring Larry into it, I'm sorry. I'm sorry to bring to dig up the corpse of the poor adorable little Larry, but you kind of have to in this feud. Crazy, I can't believe we've got in here. We got Steven Marchouli here who says if you want to put the title on Randy, wait for backlash, have him turn on Raw after WrestleMania.
Do you really want Kubi one losing two years in a row, Kubi one? But to me, look, I'm sorry, I think Randy should win it. I'm set in stone with that. I think they need to tease the possibility of him catching up to John Cena. I think it would be exciting to see Randy hold the title, and it would feel like something different on the show. Nishi forever here says if Cody's retaining at Mania, he's turning heal. Thank you, Nishi. We got CJ here who says I think it's more about people's lack of faith in the booking for title reigns in the last couple of years. Kills the excitement for me for sure. Yeah, I get what you're saying, where it's like they're kind of doing better with the chase than the actual moment. Thank you. We got MV, the engineer. By the way, thank you so much for sending in five DWL memberships. This is very nice of you. We got sads, two, two, three here. It says I wonder what's WWE's plan for mellow for WrestleMania? I don't know, but I was very happy today with the leo, the doctor, Wagner, Jr. answering his challenge. This is what I want out of my US open challenge matches,
people that I did not expect to go out there and also bring a different kind of matchup for Carmelo. But I don't know who they, what if they did something on a different brand? Rodgers, Elia, I feel like that's the story they're setting up, right? You're right, you're right. They kept like, they kept, they keep putting it off. Where it was like, I don't know what we're going to do it. Then we're not blah, blah, blah. I like the suggestion somebody had in my chat to, you know, to really spice that up, maybe make that like a two out of three falls, right? That could be fun. That would be nice. Yeah. Thank you. We got David Primero here. Is that, do you believe the story that drew last title? Because he would be shooting a movie after WrestleMania. MJF kept the title while shooting a movie, no to Cody. No, I had said a while back on my last show that I assume the reason why they had drew when the title was just that they can have Cody appear in the rumble and appear in the elimination chamber to make it more intriguing having him in both of those matches.
I'm not forget that Cody won the championship from Cena, only to go immediately film Street Fighter. Oh, yeah, yeah, you're right. Yeah, you're right. Thank you, David. We also got to a said cowboy here who says, what's y'all's favorite video games wrestling or in general? Here comes the pain for me and mass effect trilogy, God of War. Wow, Saunty, I don't know if you know this about me, but I'm a massive gamer. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I mean, with the gamer cat ears that you've got. Yeah, of course. I've played like a thousand video games. All of nice. All of the ones you can think of. But have you played the Scorpion King video game? Yeah, like 10 times. Yeah, this game's amazing. Yeah, all the way. Anyways, are you buying any of this? No, of course. Oh, okay. Am I not giving the vibes here that I'm an expert gamer? No, not at all. No, I do not play video games. I'm not any good at them. However, I did play them when I was younger for fun.
And I remember every video game I've ever played, Saunty. Grand Theft Auto. I played Resident Evil. I played Final Fantasy. I played Man Hunt. I played those little games with the ones that comes with like a bunch of games all in one console. Sure. And then I played like two, like when there was WB2K25. And then I played another WB game, two WB games from the past. I forget which ones they were though. I think one was Roversa Smackdown. And then the other one I don't even remember what it was, but it was on Nintendo. That's kind of a crazy lineup. Yet, man hunts? Yeah. It's kind of insane. Yeah, I had, well, it was my stepdad had that game. And one time I was so bored in the house, I had nothing else to do. No, I was so bored. Old were you when you played man hunts? Probably like 13, 14? That is not a game you should have been bored. I got bored. I was playing it and I was so bored. I'm like, this is so boring. And grant the photo. All I need to do is drive and run around it.
I like to run everybody over in the car. That's a really great resume. It's little games as it is. You picked yours for years in there. Anyways, my favorite video game is called Metal Gear Solid. I can move on now. Yeah, I played that game. I didn't. Okay, thank you, suicide cowboy. Alrighty. Is there anything on Smackdown that piqued your interest that we did not talk about? I keep liking what they do with Oba. It's always so much fun. Yeah, yeah. This time with Johnny Gargano. Like I just, I really, I think, I've already said this, but I'll just like echo it again. I love that Oba is not just going out there and being like the silent squashing dude. I love that there's like charisma to it. I know he didn't talk this time around, but the fact that he was like laughing his ass off getting into the ring smiling, like I'm gonna fucking kill you. Like it's just little details like that are you think are really working for Oba? I think so too. I noticed that right away. And I'm like, he looks like he's gonna serve him up
on a plate for dinner and just like tear him up, but also bless poor Johnny Gargano. And it's not looking good for him. Like this storyline is for it's ass. It's making him look like so bad, right? He's got to be gone, right? I don't know. Someone in my chat was saying that he's still supposedly reportedly still has like two years left in WWE. I do not know. But if it is two years, it's looking a little bit rough for him. But who knows? He still seems like he's happy. I don't get any vibes that he might not be happy there, but this was definitely a bad one for him. Yeah, that's basically it. Honestly, those were like the big top mix. Amazing. How about Miss and Dana housing? Oh, yeah, that's right. So Dan housing appeared backstage and had his demands again. He did good last week. He did get his triple age points. He pictured. He did. He still needs a glimp. Yeah, he still needs the glimp. He wanted a mentor. And Nick Aldous found him the miss. And he basically threatened. Dan housing threatened him.
And said, if you're not in my mentor, I'm going to curse you. And remember what happened with Dominic Mysterio. And disappeared. This is either going to be really bad or really great and nothing in between. I think even if it's bad, it's going to be great. This has, this will either be great or so bad, it's great. That's where I think I'm at. I think that we can't lose here. Yeah, I hope that we get this odd comedy bit where it's the whole time Dan housing's very enthusiastic and he's ready to go. But the miss has been trapped into this. But the end game is going to be eventually Dan housing's going to have to curse the miss. But my question is, how can you curse the miss? Everything of everything that's embarrassing has already happened to the miss. There's no new way to embarrass this man. He had tiny ball chance for him for years. What is more embarrassing than that? So how can Dan housing curse him? You can't, you're right, man's already cursed.
I've got a deeper question for you regarding Dan housing. I'm scared. It's not, don't be. Are you, do you care about seeing Dan housing in ring? Because I kind of don't, I haven't seen Dan housing wrestle in fucking forever, that I forgot what he's like in the ring. So I want to, because I don't remember. I just don't care. I just want to see backstage segments. I just want to see funny things from Dan housing. I couldn't care less about his, about his matches. So you think he'll just be in like funny little squashes, things like that. Maybe he'll be in a little tag match, find himself. Maybe teaming with our truth. At some point, do a little bit, maybe hit Wilson. I just don't need to see him in the ring, I guess. I'm not like, that's not what, when it comes to Dan housing, I'm not, that's not what I'm looking forward to. I'm just looking forward to like character shenanigans and interactions and whatnot. I want to, I like, I almost only want to see backstage stuff
from Dan housing. I'm with you. I'm with you, but I do want to say just a little bit of matches just so that I can remember. I just want to remember. That's where I'm at. I think like the last time, like whenever he did stuff on AEW was when I saw him wrestle. And then a couple of Indy shows that I saw him at, that were fun to watch him at. And then that was literally it. But I don't even remember, like it's been so long. Yeah. Wow. Wow. All right, we got Andrew Light's pizza here who says, I'm afraid that they might pull Drew, but Drew is jelly roll at WrestleMania even Damien Priest again. Not Drew, not Drew. Maybe Damien Priest though, he's the celebrity guy. Oh, you're thinking, oh, I think he's suggesting Drew versus Damien again. That's what he says, Damien Priest again. Not jelly versus Damien. No, I think it's going to be just Drew Fa too, right? Yeah, it's Drew Fa too is what I'm assuming. That's what I was thinking. I was like, there's no way Drew is going to be with jelly roll
in any sense, in any sense. Tag singles don't matter. And this is not going to happen. It can't happen. That would be, that would be awful. So, and I don't know, I could see it maybe working a little bit more for Damien Priest though, because he kind of needs something right now. Thank you so much, Andrew Light's pizza. By the way, Santi, we're about to be wrapping up with our show, but just so you know, I wrote my poem for Oba Femme. My entire chat been waiting for this poem. Are you serious? Yeah, they're just like, where's the fucking poem? Like the entire time. Maybe like, yeah. I need to walk you through what happened, okay? Two weeks ago when we decided upon this, I wrote the poem on a quick little no pad. And I just kind of like wrote something really quick and I was like, oh, I'll finish writing it next week. And then like, oh, you were like, oh, I'm not going to be on the show. And I was like, okay, whatever. I haven't looked at it since I wrote it two weeks ago right after our show. Perfect. It's a new to everybody. This is new to all of us. Wait, could you remind me why did you have to write a poem?
What did you lose? It's not looking good. What now? Why did you have to write this poem on it? I was talking, I don't know. I was talking shit on the fucking segment. And you were like, write a poem about Obefemme. Oh, you were better. Yeah, it's like, oh, yeah. If you can do a better poem than Kit Wilson, you write a poem. I can't read my writing. What is this? That is Hyroglyphs. I have no idea what I just saw. Oh, okay. So I don't know. I'm going to try to remember that. I haven't seen this in two weeks. I can't even read it. Okay. Okay. All right, I sort of got it. I'm going to get through it. This is so embarrassing. Okay. Oh, but in my heart, you are so over. I was trying to rhyme. You're strong and needy. The ruler. Give me all the feelings.
Uh, he's meaty. He's sweaty. Sweetie? The rule. Oh, he's meaty. The ruler is my sweetie. I stopped right there. I'm sorry. I just like wrote something really quick. I was going to come back. I was going to like do a rewrite. I was going to like think harder. And then I never came back to it. So I think really what we learn here is that you should apologize to Kit Wilson. No, I rhymed in this. Denise, that is like. This is the Valentine's Day card, essentially. That was like a top five worst poems I've ever heard of. No, it rhymes. I think it was fine. I mean, anything can rhyme. You can make it just because it rhymes is good. And your rhymes were terrible. Well, it says like, you rhyme to me with sweetie. And I rhyme meaty with Philease. I changed feelings to Philease.
Your rhymes were a zero out of ten. But it's about how you deliver it, you know. Your West Coast cow. You guys are supposed to be good at rap. I got no rap skills. Look, I'm sorry. It was my rough draft. I never looked at it again in two weeks. I had forgotten what I've written down. So do you like my song? No. Flash poem? Flash Valentine's Day card? No. No? Okay. Well, look at what I say. So I'm not going to have a job in creative, you know. You do not. In fact, you're fired from a job you don't even have. We got called out Brian who says, hey, Denise and Sanskar, are you guys familiar with the new head of creative for raw? What changes do you guys want to see in how they book in the future? I'm not. I know that. I think she said it was like a promotion or something like that. But I think in terms of changes, it's more so just, you know, consistency, more exciting, more of that feeling that anything can happen on the show.
That's where I'm at with that. All right. All right. Thank you, Cornell. We got hockey B who says most inorganic WrestleMania events since Rocky Cena at 29. Man, I was not expecting this reaction for a Randy Cody, by the way. We got caught me off guard. How many people are upset about Randy Cody? Yeah. Me too. We got Chabera, our mentor here who says awesome poem. WWE, we should hire you to create more poems for kids. You see? You see? Let me ask you something, Santi, where are you at least hanging on to every word I said? Yeah, you were. I just know it. I just know that you were hanging on to it. You were like, what's next? I can't believe it. She's brilliant. Thank you to borrow our mentor for the generous super chat. And hey, I'm going to work on my poem skills. All right, guys. That is, that is everybody. Can I, can I, can I read you a poem? Can I read you a noble family poem? Did you write a poem too? No, you're going to show mine up. Oba Femi hits the ring.
The ground begins to shake. Every rival steps to him is making a mistake. Power in his hands. Every slam is heavy. Bow down to the ruler. The champ. Oba Femi. That's nice. It's from Chad G.P.T. Yeah. You don't have a fuck Chad G.P.T. You didn't have that. You didn't have the same. Runs that mine out. Okay. Oh, Chad G.P.T. Didn't go. Feely. No. Okay. He didn't say he's so meaty. He's my sweetie. All right. Mine is better. Fuck Chad G.P.T. Okay. All right, Sans. You tell the people where they can find you. You can find my sweetie meaty body over on youtube.com slash Sante Zab posting videos every single day like I have for now almost three years. I surpassed a thousand days of daily videos. Just Christ. You should do a Sante 1000. You know how they did raw 1000. I should do a Sante.
This is your life. Yeah. You should do that. That'd be kind of fun actually. It would be. It would be. You know what you should do? Actually, get a video from like your first video. And then maybe like the second year or you know, choose a time period. And then just do like a side by side of how you like look different from the first one. How you spoke in the first one. Things you said. I don't know. I'm going to save that for when I pass Roman the 1316. The 13. Okay. Okay. 1317th video. Okay. I'll do something. Yeah, you got it. You got it. Or you should like go back. Have you gone back already to like watch your first video? I have. But like I've been making videos for like 12 years. Okay, they go back to like the first one in the 12 years ago. Oh, okay. Yeah. No, I will. I will. I have all that stuff. I have all that stuff. It's embarrassing. It's like reading your old Facebook post. You're like, oh shit. My angsty Facebook post trying to get attention.
Yeah, exactly. Exactly. All righty, everyone. That's for me YouTube.com slash Denise South. I posted so many freaking interviews in the last like week with just about everybody. That interview is doing great. You should have read your poem to him. Fuck no. No, I would never do that. It would be so embarrassing. All right, you guys check that stuff out. Subscribe to the channel. You guys know what to do. And we'll be back again next week for some more SmackDown coverage. Thank you, everybody. Bye. President Barack Obama.
