Hello and welcome along to Clarifem's sideline view, it's Teryk Lynch with you this evening. Coming up on the show, we'll be looking ahead to the Clare Credit Union Senior Kamogi final, previewing a massive weekend of semi-final action in the TUS Senior Football Championship, and Kilmehl will be the focus of this week's more than a club. First up, let's hear from the Climalia Trucler-Larricam, Saheta Saneris final. Clarifem's Derek Dormer has been speaking to both sides to find out how things are shaping up ahead of their showdown. Hi, David, I'm Gourashy and I'm here to draw a huge amount of money for the Clare Credit Union Senior. Six in a row, seven if you include the replay. Although you missed the first one, you must love the build of the occasion. It never gets all because it's why you're a Clare Sport. Yeah, absolutely. I think maybe this year it feels a little bit different having last year. We've had an extremely top championship this year. We've been down in last matches a half time and we've come out on the right side of them, thank God. So there's a bit of an edge here this year, more so than other years.
And of course, you have to enjoy the lead up to any kind of final. And that's what we're certainly doing this week and looking forward to, Saheta. You touched on last year and I suppose losing a final in extra time, especially considering the fantastic Johnny De Jones' road, you know, on each six or eight months before that must have hurt. Yeah, I think having had such a long year in 2024 probably cost us last year. We had a lot of injuries. We picked up a good few in the league. We came back late having, you know, gone up as far as Christians nearly. So we were really talking as straws kind of coming into the final. You know, we were down on a good few bodies and we did well, I think, to get us to extra time. I think we just didn't have the engine in us for extra time last year. And I know we're really done the day and they were deserved winners. But I think we have all those people back this year. We've a bigger squad and the hunger is probably a bit more back this year.
On set to me when we were talking that, you know, you got together in December last year, which not just, and he said the motivation was, we were still hurting from losing the county final, which is only natural. That's been a real driving force, I imagine, trope the horrible winter nights. You know, the goals of the training. Yeah, absolutely. I think, you know, we want to win, you know, we go out every year to be kind of champions. And I think that the tough battles this year has really driven our hungry. You know, it's really satisfying. But you wouldn't match, championship match in the, come on, we championship this year, especially in the group that we were in. So that has been driven from our kind of being behind in a lot of our matches this year. And coming out in the right side is really rewarding. You know, it's not been easy, but we're getting there in the end. And we just hope that you can do it on Saturday that. Now, I know all one has been lying to me. He just, he just warns all over. What was said in the dresser on the half time the last day? He says there was not really said, you just didn't panic.
Yeah. But I didn't mention though, it was skin in here aflame. They're actually like, he's not actually lying. Like I suppose we have been in so many dressings and we have been behind. And I said bring back to the vehicle match. We were five points down at half time when I first match. And you know, it wasn't running ball and batting. It wasn't running balling the bridge. But I think that maybe, you know, we realized a half time that if we continue the way we're reviewing, like we wouldn't be training the following Tuesday. So yeah, I think, you know, in the first 10 minutes of the second half, we really had our leaders stand up like we had Laura coming up to the pitch and she scored a point from playing and a big free. I kind of turned the momentum as well, but I think once we had that a moment and we just kept the ball down or side the pitch and and. You had a completely pinned in. It was like, they just couldn't get out. It was like a joke enough. Yeah, I just was just, it was just a game of two halves. I can all that's cringy and insane. But, you know, they had their first half and they were much more better than us in the first
half and I suppose we came out stronger in the second half and we were the rewards in the end. Yeah. And, you know, he all referenced it. He said, do you want, you know, to do it in now or do you want to continue training for two weeks and be part of the group? And he answered that, but for you, it's been a hell of a long year, Rosci. I mean, with the county and, you know, you must love the game to put in so much effort. Yeah, I do. I think you'd have to love it to be putting this much time into it, but, you know, it's also got a bit of a break after we got knocked out of the county for a couple of weeks and, you know, we get a chance to go in a bit of a holiday and once August comes around, you're only very involved. I like somewhere harrowing myself. So I like the joy evenings and being out in the pitch. And so yeah, I just spoke that, you know, all that will come good on Saturday and we'll take a bit of celebrate home to Clarenare. It's been a successful year though when you think of a nationally title, you know, interquadifying and in crowd-barricating and knowing it didn't go good on the day, but that
happens in sport. But now inter-county final. So the harrowing is paying off. Yeah, yeah, it is. I suppose with the county, I felt maybe, you know, we were tired and that day of open crowd-barric, we were meeting a team that was fresh and, you know, they didn't really have to play any matches that, you know, they hadn't won any match when we met them in Clarenare and that was their first match so that they really had to win to it. Sisters of arms, yeah. Yeah, look, you know, I think we were six matches in seven weeks, three games in a row that we had to win. So we were going all out for all those matches the week before we were in Auffeline. That was the most win game for us. Whereas Teypadden had that, so, you know, it was a bit unfair in us that we probably felt that we had to our bodies and then we couldn't push our best performances on the day. That's me included. Yeah, I know, I suppose that's just the way it was last year. We felt that we maybe if we had been given a little bit more chance, we'd have been in a better
position, but we did our best on the day and then, you know, we finished strongly and and was it like therapy for one to a better world to come back with a club, come back with your childhood friends? You know, the girls who, as I said, you go for coffee and you're not going to come back and and be par at that collective, probably ease the pain of the exit from there. Yeah, I suppose it's nicer to just, you know, a living canister. So it's closer to train up in down to NSF, four or nine or three is tough going and it's nice to get a break and then just go back to your club and go back to people you grow up with, you know, myself, Onja Laura, we all grew up playing in Jinas in Canara and Herlon with the Boys. So that was all Friday night in Jinas learning how to play in the... Friday night lights. Friday night lights in the Hylian Jinas. On her sixes the whole way up with the boys. So yeah, it's always come back and play with them because they really are your childhood friends. And you went across the boundary to go to the region.
Can you knock? Come back to your beloved banner. I mean, being in temporary teaching. Hey guys, so Brady Sokan is the principal in Canara, any ballina. So she's from Canara and so is that so? You've been out of the good care room, which is... I do, I do. And yeah, there's a few more is out in there. So it's kind of splashed. There's a bit of everything teaching inside in Canara, but it's always good. Come here. When you look at it, it's a weekend. It's a new opponent. Obviously you know, I can really well. It's not Scarifable, it's not I, Nikolamona. And for Clara Komogi, it's good to have a new name. And that's not what is respected. The other two clubs, but I suppose that's not your remit. It's the case of getting the job done. And defensively, the rocks on it. So it won't be easy. No, absolutely not. Like, you know, we played Scarif this year and we lost in the group stages. And everyone can do what you've wanted. And, you know, we can only have done something that we couldn't do. So far this year. So we are under an illusion that they will be very tough. Like, they're their fish and driven team.
So, you know, it is great to have a new opponent. And we know that they will be very, very good. And, yeah, we know we have to push, you know, a good performance in for the hour and Saturday. That's not really what we did in semi-finals. So that's really to the front of our minds for the Saturday that we need to play for the full hour. And hopefully get out there and say, right, right side of it. And, you know, familiar, I suppose, in the fact that Chanel Ruccheaf, you know, from the counties that open, I'd imagine you might teach it or try it in a few times. Yeah, I'm waiting for my show the whole time. Might be a bit more tasty, shall we say, a concerto? Yeah, I'd say it's different to Sunday morning in Carole. And there's a bit more in the line. So I'm sure that will bring its own battles in itself, saying that it's a規格, a reality. A規格, a lot of that. You know, it's good to see her back in the pitch. I actually didn't ask you in due there in the league final. So, yeah, it'll be a good battle.
You put all the friendships aside on one fence. Why is that still restoring? Yeah, it's not even a very friendship. It's just very plain involved. You know, I don't really get too bogged down and on positions. And just kind of focusing myself and getting the ball in my hand and just doing what I can with it. Which is usually stick it in the net. Well, I don't know about that. Do you find added pressure being... And it's not anywhere trying to come off as something. But, you know, the chief scorer, you know, if you don't deliver your cider in trouble, does that bring extra pressure? Same for the county, if you are. Emily, I actually, in the first two games, against first ones against Fiko, the second one was against Garof this year. I don't need a point score in each of them. What, I'm supposed to hurt you. I don't know. It's not, I'm not hurting me, but it just shows that we have, you know, scores. There's lots of people there that can score. And, you know, Hannah Morgan was coming out with three, four points each match. And, you know, it's not just... I might have been in the right place the right time, the last couple of games,
but they're definitely the first two matches. I was no one putting the ball in the back of that. So we definitely have a range of scores. And, you know, I just feel if we can work out enough, defensively, that offensively, it'll take care of itself. It does take a team, I know, to please share. Even the last day, you were struggling. Neve Ryan came up with a goal in the first step. One, four, she finished twenty-four. And on her little hero on the day, a really, really honest. Yeah, Neve was fantastic, you know, the year in 2024. Neve was a huge player to come off the bench for us and I haven't impacted on the pitch. And our bench last day was huge. So, Lea Hoss got on the huge bench position in the second half especially. And, you know, we got a couple of scores off that of her. You need more than the 15 to be prepared to share this, don't you? Sure, that's what happened last year, and the kind of final we didn't have the depth in the end of the project, so you definitely do, you know,
anyone can have a bad day and any day, you need to have those options to come in and give fresh legs and drive the people on the bench. And finally, you know, what would it mean to win another one? Like, much once more, and that's the way it is because, you know, what would it mean for you to wrap up the year with a county championship and head in to their provincial? Yeah, I think, you know, if you lose scoundrel championship you've won a finishing year with nothing. You know, we have the league, but La La Valle is still in the league, so it would mean a lot and it does mean a lot to the parish. You know, we've great people in Canare thinking about inclusion and things like that in integration. Everyone backs back to the Mowiz as much as they back and the hurl is in Canare and it does mean last. You can see, below on the bridge the last day, there was a bunch of kids behind the goal and they're genuinely wrong. It's you, come on, Rochina and it's boys and it's girls and it means a lot. You do bring true Canare in fairness, huge crowd
and as you transition it there, whatever about all the integration throughout all the courts, there's definitely integration in Canare. They all follow the Kamogi team, the Oran team. You're basically one unit. Yeah, we are despite the colors, but as they said, people back both and they understand the importance of supporting us just as much as they're ads. And I think they enjoy it. They enjoy coming to our matches, especially when we provide some exciting encounters, sometimes being dead and buried at halftime and coming back and winning in the end. So we've had some good days out and we've given people a reason probably to follow us in the last couple years. So we just hope that we can do it again for those who will. And finally, look at you have a wealth of experience on the line. You know, Bob, like the master I call him, he says very little, but when he says something, you'll listen. Yeah, Bob is, look, he's a special jar group, he's in there for as long as I've been there anyways. And you know, he might not say much, but we know how much it means to him.
There was a video of him that went up on Scarif Bay last week of when one of our goals was on 10 that we had a nice little jump and you don't see him doing that. Quite often, so he was called in camera. But it does mean the last to him and it's the last. What about you? What about you? Yeah, he did. Does that bring his dynamic to itself? He hadn't really gotten involved in my team's growing up. When he was involved, below in the bridge, he used to walk every single inch of it. Yeah, he does get loud. He's helping Peter go lead, he's someone around to challenging and training and talking about this. That and the other, you know, they seem to have something to talk about the whole time. And match days, they're huge for us, shouting at us on the line. They see everything. And you know, it's the biggest thing I think with our management is they might take care. And it's not just, you know, concentrating to facilitate it. You know, they really want us to get over the line and they'll be talking about, you know, different where the pitches that we are and the referees
or everything that they do their research for us. If you need extra one percent, you're going to have to do it with the go-alright pattern. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't need to look at Geneer. I don't know. But yeah, it's a family affair all around. Like, his father is Michelle's playing, own powerless sister. And he was there, my dad. So it's a family affair and that's what makes us a chef. And it'll be more special if you can have the McMahon Cup back in front of the area to weekend. Yeah, it'll be fun, hopefully. Yeah, I'm going to be about this. Care about it. Thanks a million. Thank you. Thanks. I mean, we can made these stars in tobacco, you know, can't sign. You know, county finals are not new to you. But I mean, you press board to be in finals and it still must be a ball. It's going to train and you know, getting to build the first. And it is at this stage of the season you want to still be going out to train and you want to see the meet in the garden every week and the longer you can keep doing that in the year. You know, it's a successful year. You want to be sitting early and in October.
Or I need a bit of a sports in October. So I suppose it's not where anyone expects us to be. It's started the year. And when I came back it started the year. It wasn't, I suppose it was what everyone hopes for. But I suppose if you look at realistically, did anyone think we were going to be in the final? I don't think so. So they don't come around very often. You have to come, you have to enjoy them when you are here. I suppose the sport has taught me anything. It's that you can't take anything for granted about how long your career will last. And when you have what team you will have next year so you just have to make the most of the now when the win of the final and Saturday I'm used to get out there and enjoy it. When I spoke with Shane, you know, not the manager Shane, with the launch of the championship. He was realistic. He said, you know, or I am used to get out of the group and make a semi-final. And after that, it's born as tertiary. And that born as tertiary produced as an unbelievable defensive performance. I mean, my or my are 16, Chloe Neel and the other side are Shane and O'Keefe, I enjoy every one of them. Stuck in and it was like Dau Shandla pass
and you lowered the colors of two-time Wester Champions. It was amazing, didn't it? Yeah, I suppose it was about us and focusing on what we could do. And we were really close-knit group as a whole, whether it's the six-backs or or everyone we've allowed a challenge against for this year we've allowed a work zone as a squad and as you can see the work rate for each other out there that we wanted to do each other. It was a girl in a community jersey in a better position regardless of who she was. Once we got the ball, started getting the ball and knocked the ball over the bar. That was the name of a recordist who did it, it didn't matter. And like I made plenty of mistakes the last day about my or I'm Chloe Mapped-Up's moment, which made behind me Helen and Jodie. Like there's, you, the new feelers coming back at once, Dave Regan was back there, Sean, and I'm clear. Like there was moments in the game where the defence was the 14 players back behind the ball. Thank God for no three-up rule in Kamogi. But it just showed the work rate and the, you know,
it was so close, the end was so close that we weren't going to let that slip for me. We're so dominant in the game for so long that it's so often in any game a goal can go in and then it's, it's brings it back into it and we deserve to win that game but no one deserves anything in life. And yet we had to go and finish that game out and it took every single player that came on that pitch and Sean came on Emily came on and those guys that didn't get to come on that had been on our years. So it was, I suppose, a panel effort from the first group game until the end group game because it was completely different from 15. That started that first game that finished and that would finish again on Saturday. The closing stage is against Garfun. Like you had 14 inside your 21 hook and block and tack and that's the stuff that we met just. It is and next was that's the untalented. That's not talent. You know, that the work rate and desire that our girls has, it doesn't take you to be the best turtle in the country or to be the most skillful girl you put in the ball over the bar. That's the untalented work that you cannot coach people.
You can coach all the Hating and Hook and a Black in the world. But if you don't have the desire to get off that girl and the communication with that girl decides you that I'm here with you, it doesn't matter. You can be the most talented girl without work rate and so many teams have proved that over the years and you look at, so that may have performance this year where the four words were the ones put and that it inspired you that it's a one to 15 efforts. If you want to win badly every single person in that field has to desire it and want it and put that effort in and we did and plus we also really talented her later than top of it but with that work rate and that desire we're able to pop the ball over the bar and we'll do it again and we have talented her later that will do that again on Saturday. In the semifinal going into, like, and you know, every one of us at tips is carver going on, their score and power, the average 22 points again, he restricts them to one seven. I mean only eight scores, that's phenomenal work rate as you said, work rate and desire. And you can't snipe with it yet, you'll need it again this Saturday
because it's another Easter giant and another step up. They want to learn how to find the best team once a month. Yeah, and it is no team in this stage is easy and it was, we were there for the first half, it could be Noina, you know, they're a fantastic team as well and that's the good thing about the Nature Clear Championship is that it's really competitive and we've some quality teams there that know at this stage of it you want to be playing the best teams. Yeah, their favorites gone in, they've quality players, they have, I suppose, the experience has been in Huesie Park but we have a lot of experience on our side as well and sometimes a lot of youth too. There's almost an oblivion to youth, I wish I could go back to 2008 where you didn't know what nerves were, you didn't know what you thought, you'd be in a county final every year, it's kind of when you're so young, you don't know that this doesn't last forever. So we have a chosen mix of that experience and the mix of youth that has that I don't care attitude that it's gotten played another game of Komogi
and what a lovely way it is to go out and enjoy it and I've really enjoyed Komogi this year and I've really enjoyed going over to Kamehli and I suppose I played it for fun and as was that a part of our squad is that we are really good fun team to play with and we'll do it for each other. Regardless of who our opponent is and yes, they're a top quality team and they have been in La La Refa and Walker and Pro Park and Walker and Huesie Park and experience have been in a lot of findings recently but I suppose you look at our experience, you look at our desire and 12 years of long time did not be in this path so while they might have been here more recently than most there's a different desire when you haven't been here and you're trying to prove that you're back. For you and personally, does this ease and I hear asking you about does it ease the pain of Kamehli's exit in the quarterfinals of the football? I was genuinely goddess and it wasn't where I wanted to finish this year's football but I turned around to Elyse and I said at least I have Komogi left,
what have you left? So it did ease the pain a little bit and to be able to get to this stage, the girls meant I could put my full focus and get my body fully right because the demands of the two sports Fridays and Sundays is ridiculous and my body didn't survive it and that's probably the decision that I know it's for sure didn't play Komogi this year because you looked at the fixtures and realised she couldn't her body wasn't going to be able to do it. It's kind of so much for integration, maybe, isn't it? You won't get into that, but the fixtures just I suppose were difficult and I am able to the last couple of weeks focus on one which was nice for me to be able to just focus on Komogi and get my body right and finally feel fresh going into a training session or going into a match. And you said it to me below in six mile bridges and even before that when we be chatting you love going to training with these bunch of girls as well because obviously it's release from the day to day of life but comradery and team spirit and all that you know that's a crucial part of a happy life isn't it?
Yeah I'm from Cannelli it's a well known but I've been with them since I was 14 and we've had a great bit of success from 14s up and I've seen it and they always took me in like I was one of their own and it was I wasn't there a lot of the time because the football or clashes and county but they knew you know there was always this back there for me and I trained hard with them when I got there and so they've always understood the dual the dual sadness that I was trying to do for Solan and I look from the back end I suppose there's that element of like I said phone and there's not the pressure of paying for your local club and the pressure that comes with that and and it's not and it's also nice way to still get out of the house I've two kids at home and you're busy life is busy and work is busy but it's still you don't mind packing the boots and packing back getting off to Cannelli and it'll all be worth it and all the time that you spend away and that free time travel over a month road it'll all be worth it on Saturday hopefully.
And for you like you have one so much of me I couldn't even start this to go off and you know what it takes to win but I can see by a you still want to win and you want another Mac9Cop and you want to win with Cannelli. Yeah look I like I enjoy it and I'm here for the fun and enjoyment of sports at this stage but when you have a final in front of you there to be won you don't want to go to lose any match I still love I'm still very competitive there's a competitor in me that probably will never go away and I will struggle when I eventually retire tired to do something that isn't competitive that's what management is for you. But I don't I um yeah I lost my 12 train. You're off care. This is dire to win it's still it is still there but you have to make the most of the moments I've been in front of you and Saturday is a moment that I go out and enjoy and I like to live with me on Saturday and we'll go out and I'll poke everybody I'll want to be perfect and there'll be ladder mistakes made
but you've to enjoy being in a county final in QZ Park I don't know the last of my play there and I don't know the last the last of my would have walked around and will be 2014. So these days don't come around often so you have to and like I said back in 2014 we thought these days would last forever and they don't last forever. So you have to make a while of sunshine and hopefully on Saturday and if can make play well enough we can be there and we can we can be the champions it's going to be an awful battle on Saturday they are there's so much experience there's so much talent if it was a conference too with no in the last couple of years where they've been and where they've got to but we also have that element of I suppose conference of getting to a place that nobody thought we'd get to. And finally just to and then not to be stopping it but for you to have the family there your kids you know you're matching between the bend as you said it's a special day of regarance isn't it? It is yeah like I didn't think I'd say we'd paint sport after having won enough to talk about two and and as will they see Dean regularly going to
matches and win and trophies and he had always been to martin the parade with him last year in the county final so it's nice that he knows that girls and boys can do this and they can make a place and they can both play sport and it's the new normal and if you look at our squad our starting team we were kind of up there as 12 kids between us and that's right and it's 22 on the entire squad so there's more kids than there's more kids than really one that is playing but it just it's a just show show some generation of girls coming through that they realize that sport doesn't stop and that's always been my message it was my message from the back being a realbie for Ireland that you your sport doesn't have to end just because you have family now to be honest thank God for like grannies they are You're a big fan of doing that. We wouldn't get out to train and if there wasn't tonight the two of them was dividing Conquerone has won the other has the other and Dean has trained a lot of people and they're not going to be able to do it. So it's busy but without the sport that we have we would be able to do it. So it's great that they can see us play but there's a lot of logistics that goes
on the background to make this happen and to make this possible and Saturday will be no different it'll be. Who's out in the morning and where they go and get an amount of easy back in Saturday and the struggle is what's easier they go to be wearing it's they're so confused at this stage because of all the different teams but it's great look they could be doing worse things on the Saturday. There are stairs always. And you're on the floor. Tonight to be joined with Owen Paul on back into another country final 16th of the row for the club 70th of you to be played. I mean these are really good times for Truth and Lara. Yeah she's then yeah I suppose there really something we've spoken on I suppose every year it's one year. Yeah it's this was something that you look back and it's when you're finished that we look back and down. And we're just learning to prepare for the next round. So I really have really been looking back and under finds reading like that's just stylized out there. For the day itself though I'd imagine like you're so used to it. There be no real nor was will there or it's just another day at the
office for for your truth. No look at what we said at its throw. Every final is different and we find this unique every like every year it's differently not just you know it's different problems different we try to solve different week. No look the guards are really experienced. Do you want to say a different day before? It's just trying to get the bodies in the mind right now for Saturday to be taken. After the high of 2024 that's your first year of your first year of all the way to Crow Park. I suppose the lower than of losing a county final next or time. I mean those two things together obviously drive in factors for this year. Yeah yeah look it's pianist we miss. She's I think was December last year we met as a group and you could see just in the eyes how dream they were just to just even get back here at the George and offered him to change the number of grand as we were playing to get back here. It did probably take him to watch our hands and legs up like you know so yeah. When you were drawing in the group I mean it wasn't easy Scarford
going on a feeky killing in it. It was entitled to the group with death and I suppose you suffered a setback against Scarford in round two. Yeah and then you know it was kind of knackled from there I didn't really was not. Yeah look there's nothing just nothing really between any of the teams pianist you know I was down the first round there feeky really put us up to us and if we didn't come out fighting in that second half we wouldn't be here to be honest and to say I'm what Scarford and it was just probably just one of those days where you look back to our second and first half against I know we're not what's going right for probably one of those days against Scarford so but look the guards have loads of experience in that dress and just knew what to do to hit down and get to focus back and that's exactly what to do. You touched on it there in the early game and look I spoke with you after us and you just kind of said to me there was no re-penning in the dress room but I'm going to push you on that to sure it wasn't to be in some panic. It down. Honestly no I don't know there wasn't look it's not the first time we've been in that heated kind of environment and like as I said
afterwards we've done a lot of work just mentally just to make sure how we if things aren't going right how can we fix it ourselves how can we fix it and that's what half time was about and the parents of the girls did really did that and just took their task in the second half and yeah it was a good way to push it's well tried even on the end of the next day. You seem to have come out and soft again in the morning that second half you didn't allow and get any momentum and basically you're pinned inside the wrong half for what seemed an eternity you were winning all the re-starts and it was a complete transformation from the previous 30 minutes. Yeah well I think from looking back and it's like we actually tried to do a lot of things right on the first half but it's more of probably our ball handling skills and our kind of decision making and a time to kind of let us down whereas in the second half we kind of just focus on the job and the girls really opted to know we'd head up to level like death probably those misplaced passes or dropping those balls kind of didn't really didn't happen in the second half and everything just look it was one of those days kind of one of those
games or in one half that everything just kind of went right. You know there's no really kind of way to describe it really you know look that's in the past no it's. You showed some resilience though I mean you lost Ian McKellie after about 15 minutes and I mean she's I was worth a goal or three or four points and yet Neve Ryan was the one four from play a she delivered so it's next person not really isn't it. It is yeah it's that that is the mentality it is next person up and that's the way we've been doing it all year. Look the girls as I said afterwards are just phenomenal. They've all been you know from Calcutta and the different ages they've all been there before and look it's the first year we don't really have any injuries so it's really you are playing from a full death of an illness so much it's great. So like that in the minutes I've injured so many it's come in and really hard to breathe when she came in as well so it is it's all about that next person not the next person not the measure of it is. The next team up of course is Kimmelie who produced well you know a shark in the semifinal is in most people would offense the scarf or gun law but they were targeted determined and defensively
they were top notch so it's it's not a four gun conclusion many means. Oh no not at all look we lost the scarf David's scarf the last time we beat Inapp or like it's really it's 50-50 to understand and there's some savage players you know looking at Schneeho Keith where I remember I think it was only 16 and I was unbelievable I went back you were constantly in Cleveland Cal the two candidates you know I'm very much mad and I was the soldier and I didn't seem to get younger for a time she's playing and she'll have to protect them for rent it they would punish us and that's what they didn't this semifinal you know they're warriors they have experience and if we really take them lightly at all we won't be we would be the bad place and so I don't tell you that much. And for you even into it I suppose it doesn't matter to you or the management team that you carry the favorites tag I mean you've gone into county finals as underdogs you've gone in as favorites before so it's not the new fee is it? Look we don't need to read into that carry your read into that today you're reading into your favorite so if you're an artist today you're well new get this
you know what I mean I suppose looking I don't know if we haven't really carried the favorite tags all year and we haven't really been looking into that either if we did we probably wouldn't be here so it's just folks on ourselves folks on our own phones and there must be still a buzz about it being in the county final in the camp even though as I said it's your six in a row but you know if you don't know if you're going to be there ever again and that's that's to do with any club do you get me you have to embrace it? Oh yeah look it's the girls wanting we said to the girls left the last half time the last day was do you want in order two weeks or do you want this to be our last day and the first thing that they said after was just the lightest seven or two weeks of training and they're loving it and looked at such a tight knit group you know it's you got out of the cough shop and Claire and tried to get a club and you're probably meet half and inside they're just together just they're always meeting up they're always doing stuff together just if they can do anything for each other they will like and yeah it's created to just get trained each other now for the next two weeks and the week that's left in it and the band that you know that sport brings off the field also helps with performances and the feel that camaraderie doesn't it? Yeah those look it's
look it's a small parish everyone knows everyone you know what I mean so it's about bringing that known and certainly making sure that the girls know what it's going to do and look dead you saw in the second half almost a week to five each other and hopefully you know we bring that again on Saturday and you always true and clever and fairness hugely supported you bring a terrific crowd to these games and it was the same below and the bridge the last day you know what to stand really filled up for that your Clash Riding in the Mono you've great supporters yeah no the support is savage it's been savage earlier from the first round above the feek to to the county finding it's been like dead ever since I've been involved and I am absolutely incredible and what they won't do for the yarns is to the yarns is there isn't actually anything today if we ask they didn't do anything to the yarn first thing in the morning they'll do whatever as we don't it's definitely brilliant and have you come up with a game plan to kill mainly I know that you're going to tell me all of us look we just focus on ourselves and see how it goes and we know what the threat to their pose and it's just about bringing that back the same pattern for us and community will bring in hopefully who knows and you showed in this any final you still have the
hunger he still much once more doesn't it's really yeah look it's pose if you don't have that hungry enough there and that's the same community they showed the hunger they have and it against Garofen how much they wanted it and if you don't have it you're not you're at nothing really do you know what I mean it's same in every aspect of sport it doesn't matter what what you do or what it is if you don't have that hungry enough when I go fair and for you one finally I'll be mean to you know a torgier get a second county title and maybe just maybe another trick to Jones is rod oh Jesus there yeah why not look dream big no no no no we're only folks in Anna and Sarah and that's it look it's great to be involved with girls it's a pleasure it's more just seen them now getting over the line and eating and and see that in our faces we take a look it's massive massive fun it's going to be needed again on Saturday and hopefully that's hopefully we bring it to who knows you began this any final I here put you on the spot but you began this any final fully decked out the jacket the hat everything that needs me but by the time there was
10 minutes left you nearly had the t-shirt and all of you were pumped with enthusiasm it was some turn around and it look it if you don't love things like that what's the point that sport you know it's as a boys you've been interested in so often probably when you lose that when you're in when you're in a when you're in those situations you know what I mean it's that boys you say just gets the better of you get drawn you get sucked into it like and it's it's why your involvement spot you just locked that boys you know what I mean it's every game has its own has its own life and yeah that one just definitely probably maybe got a bit too carried away in the side of it was that's sport look it was all the subs and all around the side and it was a collective effort and the one and desire was there for everyone to see yeah look that's a game it's it's only one one small parish the second day of no has been properly around this year they've done some work with friends and an all-in girls and everything that they've bought into it and as you can see like I think because we 28 turns to talk about and there's not a there's not a seven or
eight cars around that extended panel or all there it's just draw just buying into draw just want to want us to get over the line and hopefully look this the case maybe who knows you know will you do it look at all the pains we turns up on the day that's that's slightly gone out you know it's not going on the tier but who knows look it's going to be really funny and there's no question the camellia are going to bring it there and because I was going to be much that hopefully and you're totally out there it will be a brilliant final brilliant occasion for Claire Camoghi and it's with the greatest respect to the Scarif of a one-lose and I ain't even honest the word there's no harm in having another new team for the betterment of Claire Camoghi too yeah look yeah it's it's it's for someone to come and you mainly have done that you know but like Claire Camoghi is in the great place anyway from what they did this year of County winning the league and to the senior qualifying it's it's really on the off and the interference committee of editor now again push and see you on
Saturday now again and see you in Texas. I'm going to meet my mother to perfect thanks to our two back. Perfect thanks. To all of you join the committee manager Shane Satrie, Shane we spoke I don't know I was eight weeks ago at this stage in this exact room and I put it to you that surely like you know getting out of the group would be your ultimate aim. You've surpassed that into a County Final first one in 12 years. It's what's the club must be boson the senior horror is into a final senior Camoghi into a final it must be great to be a committee person. So proud to be a committee person I know so many to laugh so well I know how hard it worked for 22 years we want to obviously at the male so on the race amateurs but just couldn't get to the County Final and the release of a motion and especially when the girls won as well. The parachute's kind of gone mad and that way you love sport that's why that's why we're in it.
Look there's so many down there there's so many bad days they were anyone who loves sport anyone loves horror and Camoghi whatever it may be I'm going to get the good days you have to enjoy and push to small range from the girls to know the job to all the same so as much as we try to do many nights dealing with the kids which is important and just a general goodwill that's around we kind of know the bad reminds okay sorry afternoon we would have to all the same but look very proud to be a committee member very proud to be over the support of girls as well. You touched on it there you said you know a release of a motion for the horror that was also a huge release of motion for your Camoghi players I was blown the bridge and that's we should went they celebrated and rightly so as if it was an all-out because it was a massive massive performance. Yeah I know I actually we sent it on today as well the 4 championship 12 years as a family in Camaghi and it wasn't when I had tried like the worst current especially the older ones still like as they had the four county men and stair winners the one numerous countries of football but there was
that attack days when in those 12 years you know I have too many come on the global battle relegation that's the at the level sometimes you never think it be after the current not dominating the five or six year period but the least compete for county finals it's just so quick and it happened a lot of two was I'll see if you have some kids immigration I know that if every world hurts was absolutely crucified by that so it's been a long-haired road and the sacrifices and change the effort has been changed in those years to what has happened the last three years it's just just getting over the line the sort of big game was massive for the group especially with the mix of the young the middle age like said the middle age girls I like said the girls between 28 and 21 they give the lines to Chimelli play for Claire on the rage play for Claire at the inner level June or level and they're going to the county final and you know herself they have to go those girls but in his absolute incredible pre-recarrame grace family Chloe Neel and Jody Kaha like I mentioned those kind of girls there kind of sometimes you say
what the humorous come true in the old regards but it's girls maybe in the middle that maybe missed the 2014 era who've been there 10 years who've given their life to Chimelli and that was a really extreme option because it's a very proud people they put serious effort in that's what it takes though isn't it is is like the consistency of the work rate the effort to those girls the dark nights of training year in year-old to finally get a reward for all those sacrifices that's that's that's a lot of days like just 12 years of tough days and it wasn't from a lack of effort they're lack of some anyone did wrong it's just a way kind of fell and I think every club was two years where sometimes you just can't put your friend around mommy was gone wrong and I suppose when that happens you can't reverse on the rage and put all your efforts in there to make sure it's a long-term situation but it these girls are still running a Roman job it could drown in January and February in those years they still had the talent it wasn't like that I just get a couple of girls together I suppose biggest team in my three years was when I first came in was to try and
get the girls treated like the lads but I kind of put it in the same time that you want to be treated well lads you know if the train like the lads I'm putting the same sacrifice they do and look it's been a building about here on year our second team became very strong in those three years as well which is great because one thought with those players on proven get to level training increases numbers increases you can play match to the channel like it's it's it's really been beneficial and the one that you're going to be a lads and that's almost for final when they do the rest you'll find now like that's been a major part of success too it's maybe forgotten about a little bit because there's ten of them girls who didn't make the panel at all who that if you truly see a game you don't know worries whatsoever and we see that every day at training taught them how to prepare for my hands at the world taught her 1819 hungry and that's what's kind of driven around just an numerous game and I suppose the Monte Girls and I have returned in the three years has been massive I've spoken I'd say I think it's a 1213 girls I've returned for whatever reason when I travel kids from footballers whatever maybe so that's been a massive part of it as well makes with the young girls coming true so no it's been
slow in the blocks as it says it's been 12 years hard a lot of more people have put on a lap more if it might have I'm just we're just looking veteran team that I've got this day put veteran team and team we've a job to do Sarah does and we know that but look I think I'm more effectively reflective of where we are as a club and look it's gone the right direction and that's you cannot take pride in a daughter's game because and this is in Norway kind of sending around it I don't you know the organization that you can see on the field the structure the discipline I mean defensively if you're a nightmare to play against defensively and then all your players are touch tight or given inch and it's constantly swarming a pressure pressure pressure it's a massive work ethic you know what's a massive vanity it's it's too unsuspectually player led as I said we've loved the experience in there what even in the younger world for between the 16 20-inch they've loved a big game of play and I know how to can I deal with that those occasions and for us it's
just maybe little adjustments here and there wouldn't we don't like say exactly we wouldn't go longer deep in the massive massive things but we kind of trust the girls like all the best teams you see your majority of here led and I just give them those that belief in that information that could help draw help them along the way and I suppose it's just the re-clever when it gets under pressure it has the really composed it's here finally I know how much of a battle isn't it how physically and how and trellable the work revolves but I just thought that composure as well in the final moments when you wouldn't like from now on side you might expect it to have that because it lasts 12 years but as I said these girls have a lot of big game experience we've no fear on the on the big day we know did perform and put our best football for Climaly and it's yeah look like your job as management team is just to take as much pressure off the players they can and try and give them a very important to flourish and look we've no return anyone away we've no and code and we try to make no a revival for girls on the place force which is
look a massive pattern for rural club like Climaly the only spot you have released it from all you put and to have an extended panel of 52 like that kind of says where we're at like and often says you're doing something right to have 52 girls interested in playing yeah but look again I think it's the environment the girls create as well as I think as still about celebrations it was the substitutions that soaps that led us to squad who led the celebration they were they had to jump so many heights and they were a road jump and lepre on the field and demonstrate to the staff team like you know and for such a combination they're like that can break them sometimes and in squads like don't why should you play why you're tall but put these girls are all in it together they're all want to go to the same direction do all of that Climaly to do well don't want the the goal of deciding to do well and I think it's that teamwork and that environment and that um that the girls who created it is is is incredible as it's a main reason why we're here today and look we've been in a crew come an extra so and that 52 will extend which is which is again incredible I think
I know how big county finalists as in terms of um I would more basically as the civil was 1213 2004 while Climaly horrors won um so that inspired a generation of horrors week four or five the underage success from the race because with um the Climaly and Imrakhan Imrakhan trained those girls here from all eight to fifteen a lot of those girls were inspired that are on the team now but by those by the Climaly they're on the four county championships which which doesn't happen which mainly so um doesn't happen most clubs doesn't have most clubs calling our our our our our konoji um and we know how diehards so many clubs are around the county so um the impression that left on the girls to succeed and I think lifting a lot of reason that that's why the pressure came as in that's why the social 12 look I think sometimes there's wanting to do well so much that sometimes you know it doesn't come to pass but um that's why I'm so delighted for so many were a squad because I know the heartache of that and um yeah it's great it's great it's great it's
great Climaly man I look under spriddishly anywhere involved every successful team champ like and it's it's it's a fact every successful team has a half-backline is is Linchpin you know you in any court or in football the highest level you need a six you need a five you need a seven and my god I'll put it to you you have some half-backline Climaly and myramar were exceptionally the last day in the two winged backroads one is on his sixteen I think myram and then Eammer is Eammer is Eammer yeah and even behind that we have Emily Camerie who can play with her backlight midfield we we've actually options underbitch as well that if one of them wanted him to fall attend the win to the total but it's just to the incredible what we do what we do have and even our carabasco and heri player Shane O'Keef who played like as in we've saw many options and saw many different areas but uh yeah it's incredible have backlight lighting if you look through history or even in kmoe look the have backlight is key for look at that color at here in the 80s clarinam in 90s you go on the tip that tip team that kick those kicker
you teams in the in the nauties and that and that jaw like they were the linchpin for everyone like John Tommy Warshade Lent there was that that's where I'll come from and I think um why I might be on his sixteen but she's massive experience like she played in the final division one trailer uh played master school games join me and I think when a player plays center back all her life my revenge there I think you get a great experience of what to do what not to do you get a great reading in the game you can kind of read with the forward doing midfielder doing the girls behind her doing so it's a great kind of view and a great uproar opening of a of a player to play that position at Ljolniel as a convert to forward I don't know one of first all her last year she was into happy with me but uh it's just her pace her power her reading of the game and her skill uh two sideage she destroyed the boss MDR's good near uh and great reader the game too for a forward and that's been the master central and she'll look you know you can go on what you work with i've ever thought that's what you want to go on explaining to you but i've often said like and i've i've said it in many commentaries and many
previews and stuff defenses as far as we match us but defenses win championships your 60 minutes away from magna hankoplori and if you are to succeed on Saturday it will take a colossal defense to perform as yet again yeah and i think this is sometimes when people uh Mr. Jack what we're doing to say about defenses that he just want to six put for us it's it starts at number 15 it starts to full forward line i think our we have four then probably one of the best defensive units as well uh the work rate they put in they start to go ball when it's a good forward in every opposition you look at every kumori team and top team in clear everyone have two three dangerous forward so but they're dependent on good ball and that's where it starts like i think our middle tower are really off the battle every game even if things are not going right i think we get we always trust that around there at any anywhere at least that be a fight um look like a kashai's quiver caramely took an unmerciful you know yeah kippin was said to us the leg she did not want to come off i mean she was oh she was so mad like coming up she had to the game was so much but it just shows the character
in the gore in the character in the squad isn't it yeah and she had a look a bit being a clarity of some of the year there the gore's you looked at there the gore's that they're coming true the mayor has demi-caramely's kilamarca stay looked at those parents to the lead by example and as i said she she covered every blader grass so long of grayers and then we're regan uh divaal i kind of selected different roles played different ways but um to give every defense challenges um the post questions to keep moving at them and then all has a ball the work like the cornerback would um and i just i think we just penalized those in the day no matter who went down um then we do have a little bit of best to try and get back up and with the couldn't we had uh shown in right because the roblaston came on um i can't master experience as well so um we're left in the room we're just feeling more in position that where matter who goes down or how big a player there we have someone that's coming like and which is which is the master as well like especially when you're competing it's an excellent team i true to learn i like you tell you you need 20 gore's especially in the park um speaking of going down one east carer giant down one to go shit and that's where they are they're the are a giant
oh they're trying like um i take the whole county up behind them trying to get one of most refined that are a final deductor against incredible as our field team um trokelyner a generation run their 56 county final run um we've been involved in sport for twatlang enough in any code uh what we are looking at is very rare you see that like that um so for that consistency is it's probably the greatest compliments uh there's so many different weapons um defensively very strong um work like i think mentally what it did last week in the same final coming from me i placed down to what 16 point 10 round that's that's no that's not we sit that that shows the character inside that dress from two so i think it's in 7 before 8 weeks go we knew it was coming on the roster battle to get to the go three she goes you want to reach her and it's coming over the level again um both look isn't a good headache to have done great headache and look we're we're trying to be there if we warned us um um you show like um our girls were a better team on today they worked harder they wanted it more and we're composed
of the final moments so i know we've got this opportunity after 12 years and i'm so excited for the girls to get to experience the day but as i kind of said at the very start we at them and all everyone intramely we've had two jobs to do but one big jobs harder um get the ball rolling and i'm so delighted for these girls to get to experience the day and yeah we're ready to go shen kuremi and marga to pick you some more so perfect no now we're going to start by talking about this weekend's a clear credit union senior kamori final it's on saturday in park his og and it is kielmady versus true klyn lara at durek as well as on the line no doh um what was the sense you got from talking to to managing to players i have to say the all camera cross very relaxed really looking forward to us and and certainly no sense of an occasion getting to the manoeuvre no there was no sense in the occasion getting them to durek well you know true kiel lara there's six in a row and you you just felt that they have our taken it in their stride and while kielmady seemed to be more we'll say overgide i don't want to say
overgide but just feeling that jius nature and they kind of you know have done about what a great time it is to be a kielmady come person with you know their ladies and their main in board county finals so there was a reenbos about the whole media and i said true kiel lara weren't downbeat by any means stretch of imagination but you just knew it was familiar territory for them and that is when you say it out loud it is so much even to have that consistency of reaching finals yes six in a row and seven if you included the replay so you know they've vastly experienced we know what they've achieved good to get into crop arc you know win in a monster title they're an incredible club an incredible bunch of players and you know they deliver every single year even last year's county final they were ravaged by injuries down numbers and yes it took a wonder clear her goal to finally decide us you know in extra time it took and so they're they're an incredible incredible bunch of players and they really all you can sense the bond between them
they're you know they're the whole I know it's true kiel lara but you you have this whole cland vibe you know all togetherness and and they're hugely supported it's a great community down there and you know they support the harders and the comagi players equally as much and you know you can see that which John Connellan a couple years ago have been involved everyone gives a hand out it's a real community real club vibe and that hats off to them Derek and as far as we we saw that a couple of years ago when we went down to record the preview show before the all-out and final that nice in clandara like and I know it's shoving towards christmas at the time and people were going to be in good form anywhere but I was really taking it back at the the crowd that turned out for it and just how many people wanted to tell their story of their little helping hands along the way yeah it was a brilliant night and you know it was a joyous occasion I look at the result didn't go that way they come up against what we do know over the top qualities are as result of it with the whole build up the whole community spirit and you know everyone went to the come up and talk to
you and you know I'm the show that nice and it was fantastic and they deserved it and they continue continue to deserve the success they've had because they put huge work ready and they work together on the field as it's a collective team and they're never beaten as we saw in the semi-final the turnaround and again go back to last year ravage by injury it took extra time to defeat them and they've suffered their heart breaks too Derek you know they lost consecutive finals to scarif a good law so you know they've been around the block and they've tasted both sides of the kind shall we say and like that second half the last day if anybody was going to question the hunger or wonder had the belly for the battle is the man says that certainly answered that emphatically which just shows that there's no sign of just turning up for the sake of making it six in a row oh yeah they made a fool of me anyway wouldn't be the first time I was made a fool of but at half time I could not see anything other than I can the moment of powering into the county final and they came out and it wasn't just a transformation it was gander up you know shoulders out and just go acid and they
really dominators they tore the county champions apart like a 16-point turnaround it was emphatic it was relentless and it was ruthless and it was a giant watch if you want to know you can't let them on the person obviously and yeah water performance and look at if they bring that farm guiding they'll take some stop and both there's always a caveat and Kilmerley are defensively brilliantly organized and and if Kilmerley are to win they won't win a shootout Derek they'll have to win a tight game and that's what they'll be trying to engineer by God they are defensively rock rock solid well the venue play into that a little bit because maybe is it easier to play that game in six mile bridge where maybe the confines are a little bit more conducive to us whereas there are a lot of green green grass pockets to cover in the park like it could be a factory I mean you know they played a lot of their games in in Father Mac park and their group games I think they were in Clarabi for one and the bridge for the semi finals obviously
and their tighter pitches but they still I think Kilmerley will still just you know it's very hard to up their work rate because it is being colossal I think they'll just up their work rate another notch I mean they're fiercely determined and look at they have a half back line there that's I think Shens that we touched on that interview that I did with the media night I mean it's colossal and we kind of reference that any successful team you go back to the history of Hurlan, Kamogi, whatever you know they're built on 5'6 and 7 and Kilmerley have a relentless rootless 5'6 and 7 Chloe Neel and Emmaire Amar only 16 on the wins and then anchored by Eam or Constell who just I mean she just can do no wrong in any sport and behind Roshinev O'Keefe you know the Claire County senior and I'll Allen junior middle winner and you know Jody Cahill you know it's Hellemag Mahen there's so many they're just rocks rock solid defensively and they have a great
fund you could see what admit them in the semi final they have huge numbers and they're all in it together and just collectively they don't have that individual which we say stare like a Roshine begley who can get you two four you know in the blink of an eye and we know how good Roshine is for Cloudan County. Kamali don't have that but collectively what they do have is a huge spirit huge bond huge desire determination and again Derek I'll go back to that word workways they just work great work great workways and it's very hard beat workways and it like obviously Trouklin Erdogan to know all those things as well so do you think they're going to try and come up with a situation where they avoid the one-to-one stuff don't make it a player to play a battle like movements up front like don't let him come down to a match up they can be dominated but rather trying to find the zonal space almost. I'd imagine so I'd imagine they'll be trying to create space for Roshine begley to explain it to me, Brian, Leah, Haas you know they can get the
scores inside line but Trouk also if Kamali do retreat the Trouklin Erdogan have that ability to pick points from distance Laura Foley can come up with a score on your luck and get a point from almost anywhere at any stage be it out in the touch line you know she she won't act for distance or range should we call it and you know if for Rhaed Arzan she can ping him over from all areas of the field so I'd imagine they'll try to create space in the inside line Kamali will try to suffocate that space and it'll be very interesting and intriguing throughout the course of the game because adapter die we've often said that if you were managerial you know and if you're stuck in one game plan and you can't adapt you will be found out so I'd imagine there'll be plenty of in-game switches and maybe you know different scenarios you may like to come with the game plan they've brought all year which is defensive solidity and you know work rate but they might need to expand who knows I'd imagine they'll try staying
the game for as long as possible they will be going in his underdogs but if they can stay in the game and bring it down the close and stretch you know it'll be doggy dog for one to be better phrase and they don't lack for that spirit I just don't order it to have this score and treat the true calarav if it's a shootout there could only be one winner but if it's a fight don't rule out Kamali lived in the magma handcop and like the greatest respect to Kamali and I know I say this honestly like anyone talk and come over here at the start of the championship you would nail down to the three teams you know the three powerhouses ianikilamon is carfagol and true calarav nobody was mentioned anybody else saw it's a pretty fresh air what Kamali are bringing it's great for clear kamogi it's great for the county team you know to have fresh blood you know and it should be a fantastic occasion and I just hope that the game delivers the contest that it could deliver and it could be really really an entrawling battle and
I hope it is yeah I know we've talked about the Klemali backline but just if we've flicked down to the other end of the field for a moment like from a true calarav defensive perspective what hankers back there and and are there is there something that a Klemali forward length can go after well look at our vastly experienced true calar as we know there are six six in a row on that and michelle paul does be rock solid at three you know tell them are as shine aghaq who come in around the team dependent on selections lara foley michelle koffield they don't lack in experience they might lack slightly a bit of pace and that inside defensive line which Klemali could exploit you know and koeeva caramony was outstanding in the semifinal and and and grace huge work rate and getting none ball and koeeva cahill could be the defining factor she she has a touch of class of morals we know during any code but she has that swagger and she has pace so that could be an avenue that kuleeva will look to exploit and koeeva cahill will get a score if
if presented an opportunity and she knows where the net is so kuleeva id imagine you know get their defense won't be an issue get their shape right and try and exploit maybe a lack of pace in the true calaravol back then and i mean that respectfully there wouldn't be the fastest but there be there there'll be touch tied for as long as they can i can tell you that much and just finally in terms of the occasion itself like we've seen before true calaravol on mass we've mentioned that but given that it's the week that it will be for kuleeva id like two county finals in an eight day period brine o'loklyn and gold for the horridor's rig and conway staring for the kameogi players are so many little connections like that i would suggest that this might be one of the best attended county kameogi finals we've seen in quite some time i'd really really hope so look at there'll be no question the calaravol true calaravol the people are clung will turn up and they do support the horrors and the kameogi players exactly the same they really really do they're a credit there and kuleevaid main it's been 12 years and as shanslatri said it's a brilliant idea to be a kuleevaid
person you know two county finals the girls the main you know a 22 year wait for the main ended a 12 year wait for the girls ended so i'd imagine any person who is commandy blood them at all will turn up and look at kameogi is is brilliant product the physicality has been brought back into that game in the last few years and clear kameogi is continually under rise we've seen that with the intercounty team when international league title getting back to back quarter finals harsh done by by the the system that i must add that mean of very unfair the tipperary had no game to really play and still be guaranteed a quarter final and clear had to play six wars to get to a quarter final and it was a fitee clear on the day you know so the quality is in the county the players are in the county there is huge physicality there's you know with the lack of trouble here but there's also off the bars shenanigans these girls are tough like do you know they they'll go to war they'll go to battle and it's a great great watch them i'd be very hopeful that it will be a massive crowd
for clear kameogi and the the players deserve it they train justice hard there if you know that they they they put in all that teamwork that's string to condition of work they do the dark nights in winter too so you know i'd be hopeful that both clubs will rock up and represent but i'd be hopeful that the genuine care supporter and you know there's plenty of them out there we've seen them as all different codes all different venues that they'll turn up and in fairness to clear kameogi put it on the Saturday making it an occasion a double header with the senior b in the park they're doing everything right by their players and you know the supporters should you ever done right by the players to come out support even if you're a neutral you will enjoy the game i guarantee you that yeah three o'clock starts the senior game and delighted we'll have live commentary with here on clear fm as well just a word during before we go great news this week to start off the week happy well nominated for an all-star award in recognition of the fantastic season she had a wonderful recognition for horror and a great personal achievement for horror and
her club as well absolutely and i hope she collects the award care her should have collected one last year i felt her done by and and Abby has been outstanding this year she she's a rock of a kameogi player and brilliant i think she she kept in duel as well and you know she's just top quality and care kameogi deserve an all-star you know nationally tied back-to-back quarterfinals and she was she was paramount to those those achievements and i'm delighted for horror delighted for our family lovely family and you know great great or um plays with her heart honor sleeve that's what i really like about her and you know if you were ever in a war by god if you've got Abby Walsh in the trenches which you wouldn't want for him you wouldn't be in trouble too much i'll tell you that karen medicin joins us now to look ahead to the t us senior football semi finals karen will start chronologically one o'clock a rog versus milton this is intriguing to say the least yeah it is um you know the the mess earlier in the in the group stages in
wrong tree but i just don't think that game has any burn on this this game whatsoever milton were missing too many players on the day five or six that'll probably start here the weekend um so yeah it isn't intriguing one because milton have a have a a series things like forward lane you know as good as quite anyone has in the county and and if they can get those players on the ball you know karen mokmori and oan cleary coming up the likes of dara mectona dara mectona having a great year you know they can certainly cause cause problems for for a rogan you know a rog and the other hand mark mcconourney is is given an exhibition every day he goes out and he he's getting 20 help around the field and the players like dara and o' brain playing very very well from as well so it's all the the ingredients of of a really good game and i definitely think this game is going to be a lot of a lot of people think yeah is there a decision she made by shana brin as to maybe what he's best form of defenses is it to actually defend or is it engage your ogre a little bit higher up and put the squeeze on them maybe in a more advanced position yeah i personally i will be for for
pressing them higher up because i just don't think you can give them the ball with you know with the attack and quality they have they're you know even like coming from the the half-epping like secure and rossal ron and lannigan manas getting up the field they're all good ball players that they have at the back and if you allow them to have the ball and allow them to start their attacks from deep they will really harkshire and and i suppose that is something that they did do um when they played melton in that area game and you know milton would have got a good look at them close up and seeing what kind of danger they pose so i i do think that they they will come up with a plan that they'll have to press them higher and they will have to do well on both kickouts because um you know if they're to get any platform to win the game their the last day they struggled against in a time when we're breaking ball that's gonna have to be hugely improved and look i do think they they will have had a good look at the video and see what they need to do but uh no one what you need to do and and carrying it out against a team like erogis you know they're two different tasks but they certainly have the the uh personal to really have a good goal this and and they have
a good chance of winning the game but it's going to take an unbelievable performance from them and they probably need a couple of goals as well um but you know they they've they've as good a far align as what any team has in the county and i do think they will come into with confidence because you know the way they won that game against in a time and it was a real battle uh three finds down an injury time and and and rescue it and kicking on then an extra time i i do think it'll send them uh come into this game the weekend an interesting as well to know after on the sideline you have two championship winning goalkeepers who both liked to get the shard ones away as well so there could be a real real intrigue to that yeah i i definitely think the kickoff strategy will be will be interesting here and and erog have been trying to get him away as sharp as as much as possible this year but you know the teams most teams don't stand off here they they and it you would imagine it will become um an aerial battle and look that it'll be very interesting to see how that how that works out with you know kind of clearing one side and and darenna brine and the other side and there's plenty um there's there's plenty aerial stress and both sides you know
Ralph Wheeling is doing well for millton all around there as well and and we have a mario and i think darenma come out i might be injured for erog but you know they've got they've got the likes of david laugh this they came in the last end of the decent job and oran cahill be sweeping there and gathering mario so the kickoff strategy is going to be huge and you're right yeah two former goalkeepers and will will be kind of coming up with it with the kickoff plan and like you said it maybe erog might have shared it in the previous game with their play but it was do it with a different personal on the field from millton and you you would imagine it should be more or more even contest around the middle i kind of mentioned this and and got a good bit of feedback on it and i'm just wondering how they can what the plan to do it but like the influence of kira and russan i think every single thing that erog do good begins and sometimes ends with him it we saw the last day he kicked the first point for example is there any way that you can man mark a defender on the other it sounds crazy even to say a lot of output like his influence is such that you have to close him down somehow
yeah you you certainly do um i don't know would you would you man marking would you certainly be be kind of american a space when he comes into it that that that you try and quality more after because you are going to probably have to man mark there is like mark mac anernie and probably come as well so you know there there's only so many man-marking jobs you can do but you certainly have to try and corp his influence and he had a huge influence when they when they met previously and and you know he's he's opened down the field and you chip him with a pointer to every day but he you know he's more creative as massive and and he sets the tempo for erog he's leader of the team and uh what he does is he he's come up the wing but he cuts it to the center he'll draw man with him and he he's create space for others and and you see it in a lot of the time uh mark mac anernie will come around the loop where where kira on this create the space and it'll probably be mark mac anernie that'll uh feel the benefit of the runs that kira on russle is making um he has a massive influence and you certainly will have to come up with a plan but i just don't know how how you would man mark him because he is all over the place the man-marking job then on
mac mac anernie is there an obvious candidate for death or is it is is it a zonal thing as well or how do you go about that yeah i think mara can play in an aflatt deeper this year he he's common a way for the field to collect ball and and it's just like you know who do you send with him a normal ton picked up a couple of injuries the last day like i want to bring him enough and and shanie malone uh went off and and like you'd be hoping that that their ball available to play you know like armoured ever picked him up for a while in the in the previous game um when they play down a kemeh i don't know if he'll be if he be assigned with that task again because he if he is he will end up he could end up 70 hours from his own goal times with the way mark is is roman out the field but you know he's a very very hermente to shut down and nobody has been able to do it um and even harder to share he's you know he's playing better than ever this year he's three 32 scored in the championship so you know while maybe chroma pepper might be someone that you you you would send with him you know it's going to be very very hard to shut he's influenced on you just have to try
and i suppose limit it as much as possible i'm really struck me the last day was he came up for his mad imagine if you understand and beside him it's the sheer physical presence that he has now he didn't lick that off the ground obviously the jeans are good there with his all ed but i mean that's another strength to his bow and now that i think he's developed even in the last nine months or so the bulk the size it's all just the perfect package yeah it is like you know i've been in around the country set up and and with strength and condition and all that you can see you know if you if you look back and he may be playing in country finally maybe about four years ago he you know that he's he's physique has changed a lot in that time and what it is now is he's he's actually a far better ball winner than he might be back then he was always a brilliant finisher uh and brilliant free-tech or an ally but no you know he he's added a ball win ability to this and uh you know you're throwing the skill he has as well i still think the goal he got against their org or against melton in in the in the tourground the championship i still think it's the best goal i've seen the championship you know he he he got the ball up by the side line he drew two dummies
and or kind of maybe three or four minutes on players and finish to the into the bottom corner he he's a fantastic footballer but he's in serious series shape um you know and he he's a very very harrowman to start here org we're going to the game as favorites will they justify that tag i think they'll justify the tag but i i do think it's going to be a fair tighter game than people than people expect you know it all depends if melton can get enough quality ball into that that inside three and if kind of clear he can get enough and enough possession over on the middle of the field he'll certainly deliver quality ball in and they have an inside three that there will trouble anyone you know and d'Ara McDonald as i said is playing fantastic softball there's times in when maybe they might be winning ball over on the middle of the field that they might need to bring d'Ara out and they do have you and lenean to bring on as well it just it does depend if they can get enough ball in i think their org will probably create more chances than then melton uh melton have to be more efficient with them they have to kick their two pointers they and they'll probably have to get a couple of goals as well but they they have they have a good opportunity
to win this game but they're going to have to give their their season best performance uh and just right now with the way our auger playing and and the way they've got to this stage at competition with you know barely at don't beg game they haven't been really really tested um i just think that they have enough quality to probably see them over the line that's a one o'clock start in a three at the same venue to fantastic double-header at the county grounds uh tomorrow you're breaking versus kill d'Ara it's a it's a fresh fixture which gives it added impetus i suppose is much rating else but it has the potential to be some belter but has yeah this this is a really really 50 50 game and and i killed i sort of come into this game in great farm and look can more even play him very well as well um you know and over coming out a big battle with don beg the last day and as far as the good thing from their point of view is they they let it six point leads clip what they they did managed to get going again and and see the game over and win it and you know coming out of a tight battle like that uh will send them but no no better team to battle than than kill d'Ara you know and
they they ten points up at half time and found themselves uh trail them by a point going into entry time against lckc and uh for lukema grass i have the guts to take they can't that two-point effort when most teams sort of probably walked it for uh to try and win a free and maybe get the game into extra time you know that there's there's uh there a team that doesn't know when to throw the toe and and and they'll fight still the very very in and and so with kimori so this has the makings of a really really good game and it could be one of the games we could see context your time looking like thermococlin could be ruled out for this from you understand the knee injury could keep him on the sidelines it he'll be given every chance obviously but his his inclusion otherwise could be massive in swinging it could have yeah it would be you know it will go a huge way to to the side and who who's got the best chance in this game if dormitors are all it's it would be a massive blow to kimori you know he did look like he picked up in the first run he made really against some big he looked like he he was down for a minute or two after that and he never looked comfortable after that and and and we didn't see any doors trade mark runs for the rest of that
game so you know he obviously he was struggling a bit with it you know hopefully hopefully he is available and hopefully he McInerny is available as well you know you want to see both teams have their their strongest 15 on the field and like you know he he he would be a massive blow if he was out for kimori brick and in our sea would be a huge boost killed out of that to have to come up and face it who gets the man marking job on him is then it's hard to know because he runs all over the place personally I probably look at someone like dara sexton I think he um you know he he he certainly would stick tight to me he'd have the he'd be well able to stay with him all day Conor me he did that much of the game against uh in the previous round against lacy case and you probably have to corbis influence from play you're not going to be able to do much of the giveaway freeze because he probably nail every free he gets uh you just have to try and and corbis influence he has on the game from general player in if you're on a man marking I would probably be thinking someone like like dara sexton will be the will be the the best candidate for that but it's still a
tile task because Emmett is in unbelievable farm as as we've seen and you know he's got better as the championship has gone on he's um you know he's 27 points scored and he didn't score in the first game so that's that's over three games and that's that's serious shooting and you know he look at he he's not just one of the best players in the county I think he's one of the best in the country and not only that like but there's some backup cast there as well with the forwards and the way that they're going and even defensively you know Farglic and Anna said such a good year and then midfield cared no brine and uh you know the influence he's having on games and and obviously the grand old man himself lancitim you know in in key to a corner and and then maybe the midfield pairing the climori will come up with to kind of counter them or try and stretch them or maybe get them out of shape a little bit and use those white spaces yeah the midfield battle will be huge look key to a corner is having an unbelievable year he's he's been excellent in every game I've seen him against in the stymian he was he was the star of the show excellent again the last against the ccc case in Kirin a brain as well that really really good midfield partnership and an image kind
of wonders out around there and helps him out as well when needed so they're very very strong around that sector and and it's kind of hard to predict what the climori are going to do obviously you'll have even cahill there um you know we don't know if it in mccarty is available you know it would it will be a big boost for him or if he was available to play around there um and obviously Daniel Walsh is a candidate that could end up there or maybe Quill Nadi you know it's hard to know what the midfield pairing they'll come up with but you know if uh lysard have pretty much won the midfield battle and most of the games they played uh and this is going to be a big task for him or he to see if they can at least break even there because they have a time throughout the championship struggling under the kickouts when they've been on top like they did against the ccc they've been excellent but there's been times over they they have struggled a struggle against coruffin under under the kickout um so you know obviously they'll have a lot of work done in the meantime and and that's probably you know will willy McAnerney start it'll be uh that'll that'll have a big bearing on as well because
you know his his kickout is very very effective and and be hoping to have him available because then over there coming up against against lysard and if killed isard can win the midfield battle they certainly have the inside forwards that are they're uh gonna kick the scores for them and they'll be making it a much tougher task for kimori if they if they don't come up top at midfield and of course the the other side of that carrot is that if kimori were to win that middle third car halt healthy keel and sex and and counter-bork up top look the last they like to very slightly click a bit yeah they did that's a very good insight tree is good as what anyone else says and car halt healthy i thought was excellent the last day against tumbaica i thought it was really really good and every game the keel and players you know as he he's kind of shown a little bit more of the of the farm we've seen but at least he hasn't had the the scoring threat totally relying on him and counter-borkers you know fitted seamlessly into into the senior team he looks like he's been playing senior football for years or if they can if they can win that battle and and get the ball into that inside tree there's certainly a great enough chance as they won't have been
happy with their conversion rate against tumbaica but i suppose that conditions were tricky uh and you know if they can get as much ball as as they got the last day they'll they'll fancy their chances of you know getting enough scores to win the game it's result on the day would it be any major surprise if this goes beyond the 60 to solve it no i won't no this this is a real 50-50 game and it's not me no playing down keel and kymori sensor and i got i've seen a lot of kill lysers all year and and if they perform like they have in their last two games they're going to take this game down the straight and if it i would not be one but shocked if it goes to to extra time like kymori haven't conceded goals they have conceded a lot of two pointers killed i sort of kicked enough a lot of two pointers so you know something something has to give here but you wouldn't be shocked to to see this going down to extra time and and it could take like a pinch impact from from either side to to be the difference between the teams because they're certainly good forwards and and that's the exciting thing about it it should be a bit of a showdown because there's two very good sets of forwards and we should be treated to some good scores our party kymori joins us look
ahead to this weekend's tier-est clear senior football and intermediate semi-finals we'll have a word on those before we finish up party but firstly what a day ahead in park is so one o'clock and three o'clock should be a bumper crowd and i suppose praise firstly for the fixtures committee and everybody that decided to go this road yeah it's good it's good to have a double header and not have one on this Saturday and Sunday because the other two are very attractive semi-finals tell you so you'd imagine anyone with interest in tearful football will be able to see if like it's supposed most romantic one is seeing kildice or dare like it's just such a breath of fresh air to have a club like kildice or dare and you know what they're going to bring it color they're going to bring nice and that should that should be exciting and yeah you'd hope that the occasion doesn't advise her to where you trade her to it to a good game and then the other one sees that the jogger now has a rogue against a rejuvenated milltown so yeah definitely a day that will be
very much a conformer to yep and it opens up as we mentioned which a rogue versus milltown from one o'clock and i'm just wondering in the context of the hurling last weekend and the injuries we wish David McNamara a speedy recovery a series of rib injury were told they're he got a battle don't have to have to go off Arden Fitzgerald I'm not quite sure how comfortable he looked throughout that contest to be honest about us and and another 60 minutes into the legs of Kiran Russell but we know it up top maybe there wasn't as much of a tour taken out of him but at the same time it is going to be a factor yeah absolutely I think the one thing we I'd be nearly sure we're going to get this time is we're going to have a well-taught out milltown clan and I think Aaron Fitz you know and the arrow full back then they're going to get tested like Darren McDonough is going to be in there just going to be a few highballs the archdendipot has you know hopefully the weather doesn't play havoc or maybe we hope it does maybe you know sometimes the weather can be a leveller and bring great excitement you know but we do want to see
the best football and for all the people going to support the teams but yeah the rogue didn't miss Aaron Fitz against and tour barefield but that was more so down to tour barefields not perform and the day and you have to say erog we're absolutely clinical they're level of performance you know there were eight and a half nine or ten all over the park they were sensational to be fair and and Fionan Tracy you know he was probably nervous going in there but he he probably really enjoyed his afternoon and didn't really have to get too excited or found himself with too much trouble so but as I said a couple of the two lake goals they won't be happy both you know and what were they they were the kind of long dirty balls in you know the cause of the Titanic in there so I'm absolutely convinced built-in are going to have a plan number one for attack I think we see a lot of those kind of balls in number two for defense like we can say in a repeat now with the last month that somebody's going to have come up with a plan for markback and early demands on fire for a rogue and I think Sean O'Brien and his meltdown backroom team you know will have
something up their sleeve you know what are they play a sweeper as such which is kind of difficult in the new rules but I think they've got the quality player you know hopefully Sean Emilon is fit enough to come back you've got Brian Curtin and and guard Kelly just I think there's too much experience in the meltdown team to let mark mark mark and early have the free reign in the place so and she'll be excited intriguing to see how they go about trying to curtail their rogue attack and as he said there's still question marks over a rogue fitness like Kiran Russell that you know he'll have to be put down before he won't go on the field I think that's fair to say like what a warrior what an inspiration what a role model not as for players and young players in the Arab but all over the county is supreme at least he won't come off too easily you know he's going to be there he sets the tones of that rogue team he's the heartbeat of it as these aren't fits to be fair so if they have him ready and anyway shape a format in kind of this was there too but yeah it'll be we have we have injuries across a lot of the teams this weekend that will be
be interesting to see who takes the what's that 15 takes to the field on on Sunday and like not to take away from our error we've done there've been in periods brilliant but I suppose maybe the one game in which they kind of met a bit of contact and I think you were at that game was against on big out in this case I just feel watching back the last couple of games that too many teams have stood off them and haven't engaged them physically and certainly haven't engaged them how you know for the pitch like how often have we seen Kiran Russell with tortilla arts space either side of him and in front of him and he's the start and cog of every whole thing that they do but like you can be guaranteed with a few the leds you mentioned there it was one thing a rogue we're going to get this weekend and that is physical contact exactly because you've got unbelievable athletes on the Midtown team and you know this it's really positive for triple policy Midtown they've had there've maybe two or three years there they've just kind of been getting through the season to haven't really hit any highs but no major lows but definitely as Sean O'Brien has come in this year he's got the couple of old school that's backing for not the season maybe two and there looks
to be a good mood in the campsite garden Kelly is back and he's setting the tone like what a man what and as I said no different to Kiran Russell probably even more so what a role model for every child in the county country like he's just such an athlete he's so driven he's so focused and to be to be there like at his age or what he's doing is beyond logic really but yeah it'll be it'll be interesting to see and if a rogue can get out to the block starter of what they're tend to do is that they seem to be able to get six or seven points ahead and Midtown will be doing everything to keep this tight until you know the last 10-15 minutes we're taking it on the stretch so that was there in this case he'd have to see Don Beg and Don Beg just have to spirit about them where the 15 lads from Don Beg they just said no I'm marking my man wherever he goes and I'm taking him on and not letting pass me it was a real man or man or fair I hate using that expression but we don't see it that after no one was sure
in responsibility there was no a rogue man there's none of the field on his own now Kiran Russell he was right fun to be there he would drop him down the field like a trojan but he wasn't alone you know there was Don Beg lads chasing him back and putting on under pressure was my most enjoyable game of the of the championship for sure right there and it's again that Don Beg potentially may have left behind you know what I mean they had their chances coming down the stretch they weren't in front by six points late in the first half and their ogle were literally like so the spirit and the bounce back ability of their ogle was well and truly tested that there you know they saw true like so you know there's there's definitely areas that you can target their ogle their performance the last day was sensational but are they fallible you know we wait to see but there's definitely areas the pitch to teams can try to explain but the likes of the Miltown and other teams trying to plot their downfall they have to play the perfect game the real players are going to have to play out their skin they're going to need a break
and ball fall in their direction they're going to need you know they have decisions from the referee you need to look at scoring and to get the win and you know to counter that you're kind of thinking that they for ogle are going to be taken down that maybe you know they're probably going to have to potentially have not a fully after but you know maybe not at the sensation fund they were in two weeks ago I think that the kickoff battle here has gone to be really in Triggan because burner powers restart have been so critical for erog and as was the cup the times they went to Roy the last day we saw Dura bear fill getting the two goals after back of them and as a farmer keeper himself that liked to ping the shard ones I'm sure Sean O'Brien has this well studied and at the other end you've kind of clearly being impiriacitimate field Ralf Wheeler has been excellent you know that's a serious outlet from a mid-tone point of view so that battle in itself I think is going to be huge yeah absolutely directly saw that game the last day the erog um their middle age like they all they they have different kickoff techniques
you can tell their team yes they're in their fifth or sixth year were done early on the feces in terms of regulations football bar that penalties defeats crack off years back what you can tell how far they are on the road how well coached they are that nothing gets overlooked like you know they're they're middle age kind of they can bunch in the middle and and they're like an octopus they go in every direction and all their accomplishments for that 15 meters of space for one of them to break into and for burner power to put it into and and and also erog errone overly afraid to go out on a 50 50 ball you know they've got height out there and but you know that I think for this weekend particular with Connor Cleary and as he said um with with the mories and rolly out there you know they probably looked at void 50 50 classes this weekend because I think mid-tone that that could be one of their their strong areas this weekend and makes it exciting and yeah there will be pressure especially if erog get on top that mid-tone get their kickouts away um you know I think Connor Cleary is going to be huge
full from fardom like if they come under pressure to concede the goal or flurry of points I think they'll be trying to slow it down and trying to get one of them to feel us to win a clean break to relieve pressure and it's huge because in these in the in the last couple of years with the new rules it's all about momentum and whatever team can you know make hey while they have their little cycle of momentum is normally the team and that's come out on top towards the end ultimately who wins it um look after senior org saw impressive the last day without Aaron Fitz without Davey Mac natural which slides will be back um ultimately you know you you have to think your org have to be the favorite here um but I do think that they're going to give the a really real test here uh from Sean O'Brien and his charges uh there's so much to like about this mid-tone game a mid-tone team of comment Murray he feigns fire under for unclear he's fire and a ball of quality ball goes in to Dara McDonough I think they have a they have a team that have the weapons to turn
over a rogue um but it's it's it's really hard to back against a rogue given their current far that is the game at one o'clock we're looking forward to that one and then uh two hours later at the same venue and no doubt with another bumper crowd as well as party mentioned kill Dysert back into a semi-final taking on it and rejuvenated looking Climorea Brick and team I'll be it with injury concerns and I think that's going to be the big talk and point this week party word is Dara McOctlin is more than 50 50 70 30 now at this stage with a knee injury he picked up late and that uh we're not done big the last day if he's out that's a massive blow that's a huge blow and look that's we want to see that the four teams go out with our best teams this weekend we want all the best players playing like that's how we want to see a championship won you know you don't want to cloud hang over any result because you know your star player is missing and you just have to feel for Dara McOctlin the poor man just he never seems to have a a run of you know two years with whatever setback like he's such an influential player we're seeing him for a club on county
and his day like he can dictate the whole pitch it's quite remarkable sometimes to see the influence that one senior player can have a game on a game and you know if he is missing you know that's going to be a massive massive last for Kimori and you know but first we're not going to know until you know just before troen and sunday the whole county is aware of that i'm sure they'll be doing the best to make him fit to play and will that will be down to the medical team in terms of himself from what we'll see on sunday just before troen but you know hopefully he makes it and you know if he's not there you know that's only going to give the confidence of kill d'Icer and extra little boost you know and then if i was going out on the team and and i knew d'Icer McOctlin was not there i'd have to have my step that's for sure to d'Icer that victory over lissic case he no doubt they've had to park it in terms of moving on to to look at klamori but at the same time it's a fair bit of recent form to look back on and i suppose they look to build on it want to
at the will yeah and like i said i'm really excited about this one and i just think it's brilliant to condycer to dare carry on this leg and like they're 20 i think it's three out of the four games they scored over 20 points to play in a lovely brand of football i would have a concern that they're so reliant on two pointers like they read your media and it can be a dangerous game but it's a brave game and you just you know if they bring that bravery on sunday you'd hope they get rewarded they get the scores and you know if they get a few of those two pointers on the board early you know could really rattle klamori you know as i said i don't think they've considered a goal this year klamori yet and klamori should be not be overly bothered for goals if they can kick these two pointers that they've been doing so far this year so and and you'd hope that's my that's my fear for this weekend out of the two ties i just hope that klamori said that the occasion doesn't
get to the players is a set that's a first semi-final since 1987 i think or 89 and so there's a lot of a lot of chatter on the players that obviously the supporters and the others that they don't be confident but they have to turn up and they have to deliver the last thing they want now this weekend is to you know not not perform and have klamori do a job and them and a non-performance could completely deflate them you don't want more victories either but it hope that they perform that they're you know that they're shooting that you know that they're in the game they make a contest for everybody's sake and for themselves you know it's to do go down that they sign after season with another positive performance and and that's that's the way i really only see today so going that they're shooting brutal going to have to be on here they're really going to have to you know maximize every opportunity and klamori won't let them dictate around the middle
as much as this is the case he did late in that first half and early in the second half this case he just ran out of you know essentially more or less run out of time even though they got back but you know he was too much of a flurry they had lost too much of the middle ground so and i really like to klamori this year they've been such an impressive team they all know what they're doing they're really well coached like you know mr. kaklan and mr. tality over them they'll have no stone left unturned and that's the two favorites for the games this weekend they're definitely a low and klamori but both sets of management teams you can be sure they're not going to take either team likely that's unfortunately the bad news for the guys return milt and going into it is that you know they're going to have to do it again is it allowed you to turn them over and the more than we spoke about that middle-tour battle in the first game like when you think about the narrative leading up to the lckc kill dice or game in particular it was that where will kill dice or find the legs in the middle-tour will you know will the two boys be able to to keep going
the way they're going kito counter and kird no brine and like they certainly answer those questions and now they're coming up against the klamori midfield likely to be quiel and or d um quiel and d slash deniel welch and or evan kehl who we know will be driving right throughout the contest but at the same time the wide open expenses of the park proved no deterrent to the two boys until dice or the last day no and they're half act like no what i'm looking for the ocean kyle was going back he came out for a couple of minutes ago but he was the epitome of kildice or the last day he had not the left and the tank he would open down the field all the really really impressed work hard tackled hard one-tone overs had good attack and they kicked the point like they have the legs around the middle-eat and my other fear of the kentice or two bishutes when i went over playing the ckc where i thought that would want to be in trouble was coming off the bench what impact i've kentice got after bench or the answer to the last day and we know that the kylmori bench is going to be strong and as the conditions start to deteriorate as we as we gather to begin and you know
that extra power and fitness from the bench is going to be a huge huge factor if these are close games ten minutes ago call this one call it um i look you one like to hear this but my heart and the romantical side of me would love to seek a dice or two or do even with thermo cock and injured i i said i put as much as this down to the management team as much as the players they have quality players that all feel they've viewed and experienced kylmori have the perfect blend to really rattle this championship and and again i'd love to seek a dice or two but the head just has to say kylmori will have too much and but my hope is that kyldice would really give it a kick really give it a go and from a neutral and it just keeps saying a romantic perspective would love to seek a dice or two of the line which you have to have kylmori as favourites yeah it's going to be intriguing and remember result on the day as well and both these games so don't rule that out happening either at the renegation final also down for decision party you know there's a bit of boardroom stuff going on
but i'd imagine that log it started out and same break ends will be taking on kylmori this coming sunday down in kk castle that's a five o'clock start on sunday evening so once the parakeem t's out people can head down there and get in their third game of the day if you can avoid having the spuds until about seven but um this one just it's everything on the line isn't it like and this this is about a who can win us two points to one of the after that's as you said your tour game football on the day sometimes these renegation finals and it's more likely all the time they're always dramatic they're always a good watch they're so tense i guess and i've been there a couple of times both as a player and as a selector on the line and like people just do the strange things because of the pressure just the pressure of trying to keep your status this is your it's your club but your community you feel the extra pressure when it comes to renegation more than when you're going to the top end there's just huge huge pressure on people's shoulders and it can just make the most crazy some stakes when you wouldn't expect it and a lot of the games
that you see it's it's it's who makes the least mistakes and who has the bravery you know when when you come inside the act of the two-paint or when you're 35 feet or meters out and you have spaced how the kick do you fully believe you take it on or are you taking another solo and and hand pass it off for somebody else to take the responsibility to have a shot like you need leaders and board teams here and i think what we're going to get from kamehat here is 100% honesty that we want to really really give everything for their jersey they've been in this position before without knocking them before they're down but you know they know they're they're then off the last couple of years they're hanging on that they're seniors that's so you know to me they're not it's not a big shock for them to be there and they're ready to give everything for their club and community this weekend and you feel a break in the way their results have been particularly in the championship you know they haven't really lit it up and you know even i've field what's what's happening in the club it's not the best of vibes it's not
sending the the the the charity to the players that we believe in you know to go in there do the job get the result and move on and put 20-26 behind you the the now maybe the players have regrouped and and you know they have their own minds clear but if they don't you know i i find this one the toughest game of all to call because if Brecken's heads are in grise if they're not ready for this dog fight and especially with the weather you know to me now i could see can they have come on over on top here yeah no it'll be intriguing that's for sure and just a quick word with the two intermediate semi-finals party on Saturday at two cracking games as well by their own right and you talk about being a romantic my word if you had an avon banner final in the intermediate wanted them to go senior i'd say to the rank any romance novel that you could come up with but obviously wolf thorns and kirosh will have other thoughts exactly yeah yeah and it's the banner i miss uh uh uh is it calling brown from kirosh is the man who's so much worked on with the banner
underage football over the last 15-20 years met him during the day and it'll be an intriguing one the banner and the banner and kirosh when they face off obviously the banner won the the group game with a little bit to spare i think that was kind of uh the result that kind of put the banner to the forefront of our minds in this campaign you know the the one of fairly convincing they've been slowly but steadily building off the last three to four or five years they're increasing their performance levels as intermediate bit by bit every year and uh this weekend is going to be you know different um again that should be a really really fascinating contest kirosh will be buoyant after they're and they're good win over cool it's air and kirosh are that kind of a team they're you know when their confidence is high it's they get after good start they're a team they can get goals and so that that should be a cracking contest and i don't know it took all this one it is really really difficult was um just like to trajectory that the banner around and they'll
be absolutely buoyed by the fact that currently the ad we're taking down by they won't begin they probably see this championship open and open front of them and so if if i was to give a tip the captor someone there i'd probably slightly give it to the banner and again the other the other contest i just mentioned they won't take down trying to get they won will have huge confidence huge support and they'll have revenge on the mind from their take on will taunt you know that that game back in kirosh the intermediate finals in two years ago the weather was cat it was a horrible horror that even everything that could go wrong from the evolve and wrong and they'll absolutely have revenge on the mind and i think that will be a motivation of two i think they will get it there in order that kind of team they'll something to let's answer they haven't got a huge panel and they're really admiral club you have to love how they give absolutely everything and again world tones you know i felt sorry for the last year they had a horrible group you know they're one and only year and they're only year and senior last year just everything seemed to
go against them so they'll be happy without this championship some fold and as well and they'll be itchant get back into assembly final they won't fear they have won they have the play and power they have the panel and i think they'll expect to get past this weekend and you know they'll be hoping to contest a final and i probably just give them a slight nod of the cap as well just in terms of when the game gets to this level as they go down the stretch again i think just feel that the panel is bigger and if their noses are in front early in the game i think they'll be happy they just don't want they have won to build up a head esteem if they won't get a head esteem like the did against countergathering get four or five or six points up they'll be hard to peg back in but but again if i was to give a slight nod of this weekend it would be two world tones but i think we're in for two absolute crackers in the community championship yeah brilliant we can to football ahead in total and get as many of them in as you can folks because very very soon we live no club action left at all so it'll be tight show time shortly so get the football while you
can party we'll enjoy it thanks so much for joining us no worries don't like more than a club is funded by commission a man with the television license fee now next up in our more than a club series we're shining a light on Kilmehl GA club and to do that we're delighted to have current chairman Dominic Carton and mr. Kilmehl himself Jerry O'Neil to have a look at the club leds both past present and into the future as well Jerry i have to say first of all when you're researching these things the club website is the first place you go to and my god Kilmehl delivers in spades if you want to research the club between photos and club reports and everything it's a mine of information and as well as to start at the beginning there is a record of a club active in Kilmehl in 1888 not long after the year of thunders yeah that's amazing very little information about it but it was mentioned in thumb report i think on the clairjourner something like that
but we got to the countifinal in 1900 against labesida it was played below in labesida and labesida won that game and there didn't get another senior final until 1958 last out to turn back and down but in 59 we won the QZ Cup for the first time and in 1968 we were back in the countifinal again again against done big last out again to them they were our nemesis over the years we lost 72 final after replay the 74 final after replay to done big again so just come back to what you were saying there Jerry both you know coming up along the ranks those 50 finals and all the rest with done big as well did that led up to ultimately that 1980 final which is obviously the crowning moment of the club absolutely yes
well in that year we had i think with the seven young players on the clairjourner 21 team and they came with a different nest shoot and i remember being in the drasthan above in milton malbe at the year before and we were playing kylrush we had beat them in fact in the first round and here we were meeting them in the semi final and the tension in the room that day was unbelievable and in the following year we're back in the final and on back in done big and pat McGuire was in charge of the team and i was in the drasthan with him and he said at the all here now he says nice and nice as dick and that's in dick and mac hadn't arrived yet yeah so he said okay well give me a nod for me he's coming so so i was watching out the window of undeclinder was coming in the door i give pat the nod and he says oh no seemed dick and
here pat more neuron wing back and they had hundreds around oh there you are dick and the place they're up to would be glad but it kind of broke the tension in the room you know frank uselman down to do his his thing that he scored a goal he went to kick the ball and give the goalie a dummy it's the goalie dive run by and he stuck it into the corner and we went on into winett and the celebrations are on him mighty because particularly for the morphe brothers who had given so much to not just kill malgier but to clear g a um and in fact the first clariment to be nominated for the Nolster was Terry Morphe back in 1977 now clarinand exactly kind of rock in the world of football at that time but obviously he stood out when in his exploits for clear and he also played real big cups as well um and so did Martin
and in fact two years later Martin was the second man to be nominated for Nolster so that's um yeah just incredible achievement for those guys absolutely and yeah it was wonderful that they actually did get to win it because they gave so much um and they played holding as well as in Sean and Teddy a little bit over the scoff um so they were they were mighty men yeah fellas will come just to watch the morphe's playing and all they were just outstanding players and there's a lovely section actually on the website dedicated to the morphe brothers as well the people want to check that i was in Dominic as I say it's the current chairman but i was just looking up at Dominic the information on the website about that uh championship in 1900 and the names on the team she should swear to us actually go from this year's championship macmane pelkington or shea ryan normal daily constantly that's just
some of them they picked out because their names that you still here own killmehel today so obviously very very strong family traditions run through the heart of the club it does has been here we're we've our zoomed-dest with uh the same amount of families have stayed around and and they have well generated players on the year of the facilities, narwhites and chairs and downses and yeah they're still there and that's was the club yeah and the club in modern times obviously set michael's parake is you know it's such a brilliant facility now enough to club with the gym there on the left hand side as you go in to stand the the art or more which i think is a great addition to any field you know it's all about development and keeping things going yeah we we um we are as pride ourselves on keeping things fresh we take on the project every every couple of years the gym with the last projects and we pride ourselves on the facility and then
parents there we've been acknowledged uh don't throw the yearals as well as the quality of the out the facility um that was it is fine having us there was unique heartless brothers well done yeah well i suppose down the years have been several thoroughbreds in there for sure i notice here things are tidy and as we record we're the week out from that litigation game but i suppose there has been a huge amount of success i remember being covering your intermediate victory a couple of years ago and interviewing in doha holland in the doggone after the game and he was so hyped up he said that so often he said we've been described as the bridesmaids he said well today we got married and we'll enjoy our wedding night now i didn't add in pro of any fathers to what he meant by that but i mean it shows like in terms of football in canel does a deep seated passion there are three is there's definitely a passion there uh we're very proud what we have and uh we're very proud to be here to see her uh it's uh it's definitely a long road as a tradition though we might ensure in terms of championships but we're definitely very proud
of what we have and who we have and we've got through some of those guys Jerry that represented the county in the whole of the jessenshire outside it's it's fitting maybe in a lot of ways that one of the big um force records of the club is a game against leberchida because we know that there's there was always a massive rivalry between knell and shannon gales being neighbors that's natural but it's amazing how the wheel turns jerry and and next thing it's you know i don't rage chlamel and channon gales come together in boat clubs greatest time of need maybe to keep things going and and maybe put all wounds aside and you know the great thing about it is that they general very well together and i actually recall a conversation which mother of young philophon shannon gales and she was boarding her young philophon uh we were playing in division two together and i think we were playing in division four on our own and her son made a comment like it he didn't like playing against chalmehal but he liked playing with him okay um but you know
other clubs have kind of merged for at under age but never really jell together uh but those two teams you know and the mentors over them uh there was no pro heel canabias it was just the best man gets it the jersey and um they seem to jell very well together um and um i suppose get in them to play at a higher level um it is going to be beneficial for the players themselves because the higher up to grade you go the better the standard and um it's better to be playing at a higher standard if you want to be in the senior ranks because the pace of the game is so much faster you know and dominant like i suppose that's that's a testament to the character of the club i suppose and the foresight as well because we know no more than every other rural club but maybe chalmehal a little bit more so than others has been a kind of a victim of that sick little nature of a generation leaving to come back again and you know that it gaps in in numbers of the primary school and things like that that can be as a result of that so it takes a lot of
hard work in those five or six years where your numbers are a little bit slack to keep things going i think it's but here we're no more than any other club in the western sea board we find a victim to immigration and um i suppose local planning laws really um we it's our necessity that we we are where we are um both in fairness we have a very good relationship with channing gays and i always have that from day one um your co-hardplanes channing gays and and indeed ourselves that have been on the same same page which would be good number years now and seems to work now we're not blessed with massive numbers but it's opened down that can either club is working thank guys and yeah and that'll keep them going too as jerry said they're to the bigger numbers and i suppose it would be remiss of us jerry to profile clemehl g a club and maybe not mention the little bit of well it's more than little it's a very strong connection with maybe kratlo and well it was
it's not immigration as much as migration but you see what the likes of koulom karlins and the more fees and wargormons have brought to kratlo but as was koulom being such a central part of that championship victory in 1980 and what he went on to achieve as clear senior football manager afterwards that must be a huge sense of pride for clemehl oh absolutely yeah we're very proud of koulom and what he's achieved if only he had decided to settle in kelemah along with mountain morphe we probably wouldn't more championship you know but kratlo has benefited a big time i mean your three buys the quality of the koulins brothers on your team you know that's a huge bonus for any club back in the day like we had the three morphe's you know we had three macbans your number of normals on the team at the same time one of the great normals players that saturday leftos that's null tremendous footballer played in the clear team played
rare recope for monster you know pat gary another great man who played for the county team and played rare recope as well so down over the years we've had great footballers representing club and county and province even at the moment we don't have anybody on the team the one man we did have his currently in australia um carry on down so we could do with him next weekend um because last year he was the the difference in winning that final match but um anyway hopefully he'll be back next year and we'll have a stronger team again um and dominic that 1980 team it's still those names are still legendary down around killmele we i mean anybody and and it's sadly closed since maybe that might change in if if we're learning picks up a small bit particular max bar when you walked
into that bar and saw all those pictures around i mean it was just an incredible hall of football really but as was the 1980 team will always hold a very special place in in the killmele parish i indeed sure and very absurd there were definitely a lot of the tall um jerry give a quick and up there of that team um the the were great men and fairness and near the dorsill had held in very high regards and and um sadly the people have passed on but um they were great men and fairness and dorsill held in in the very high pinnacle of the tall uh quantum carons and etc and i mean great great players as well as in recent times in in terms of county players with the likes of mackerel cannell and martio leary jerry mentioned curandones the ryan brothers paul reedy dan kitten you know he's like that is for us they're still keeping i do have anything for us yeah they're keeping it list i do yes they're keeping it list um no we're always looking
off in in the middle we are as produced uh one or two for the county pens um there was i was uh quality north there for for a mentor represent the county um i suppose sadly we'd like to have more of uh it is what it is um the result of the producer and of the welder again and a norjerry does been obviously a plethora of great men down along the years that have been contributing to to clemehal and and particularly to claire as well i think we have to maybe just take a minute or two to to reflect on what time downs gave to clemehal for ball to claire for ball and while there's never a good time to go i suppose he's passing under weaken the claire were to play a carry in a monster championship game given his history with 92 and all the rest was there was something fitting about it in in a very sad pinyant way i come was a great gm and uh he was always a great help if ever you needed anybody to talk to our advice or anything and if there was grand scorn on monster council tom was on the ball and he took care of all the paperwork
he just come along to me i was treasured at the time and he does have me for a copy of the checks and he took care of everything else and next thing a checker arrived back from monster council um he never missed a trick there but he was mr gm himself and um yeah sadly missed uh um really nice guy and um yeah one of them one of the best one of the best and just a quick story on that i remember being down in kiraabia the claire train and session when column carlons was over the team i think they were playing leash they were certainly playing up the country anyway that weekend and column just sprawled over with the hands in the pockets people that know column know the stride i'm talking about and tom was at defences having a chat with him and column came over and just said tom what's the plan for the weekend and tom headed all laid out they were getting the bus at such a time stop and at such a time the meal afterwards at such a time and that was you know column saying that's tom looks after that that's that's the level of trust he had in him well tom wasn't one for the limelight he was very much operating in the background that he did a tremendous
amount of work um father clear team over many many decades um all the working in the background never looking for praise or never looking for the limelight um and um you know that's the mark of the man that he was he wasn't in the job for the glamour he was there to make a positive contribution and that he did dominic as i say you're the the current chairman trying to guide things through far the club uh in good stead at the moment as you say in terms of structures and facilities and all the rest of it but no doubt uh it's a case of uh keep moving forward if you can well that's already here um we we spoke about the past um it's our it's our it's our spot to filter present and the future um we we put a lot of emphasis and a lot of structure into our underage um i think it's it's it's it's started bare a bit a bit of growth um yeah numbers are slack from maybe from us live from 19 down to 15 but from 15 down
uh future is no can uh relatively go I'd be happy no but uh no that work has done unbehind the backgrounds with a lot of good men in the club that take uh bright on on on the region and then the players um there's too many that's mentioned but i mentioned a few Peter Downs parodies sending in inferences has happened on board now he's he's given up the football but he he starts to know us as um on the five and sixes so for you men like that and Marco Carnell are these fellas young fellas will always look up to like to these that are good they're great men uh represents the county and they're great interest in the foresight to drive running in and uh even work to work fantastic stuff but as we wish you the very best to look going into the future and thanks so much for taking the time to have a chat with us
