It is Friday, September 18th. And the lone hold out juror and the Lindsay, Clancy, trial is speaking.
He didn't say a lot, but he said a lot. And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ Robes. I was not expecting this, but through a lawyer now, the hold out juror has been identified. He has said something that's attributed to him. And then his lawyer said a whole bunch, which also gives us an idea of what direction things might be about to go. But I'll tell you first of all, I was surprised. I didn't, I was surprised to hear that we are now hearing from this juror. Yeah, I wasn't expecting to hear from him, but you know what? It makes sense. And we've experienced this when you don't talk people talk for you. When you don't say who you are, you look maybe suspicious. Or you look like you have something to hide. And so I appreciate the fact that he was willing to come forward via his attorney, but he's 48 years old. His name is Michael P. Dizronville. And this is a guy who moved the United States when he was four. He has a Haitian immigrant family, a devout Catholic. We're getting all this from his attorney, but they're putting this stuff out, but they did.
Is this the only outlet they talked to? I think more than one of the news news news. News Nation, I know for sure. They were on a podcast, I believe as well. They're very selective right now in the outlets they're going to. They are not sitting down with CBS this morning, kind of a thing right now, not yet, at least. Correct, because they know that would be a different kind of interview. I appreciate this. Look, they are making sure that his narrative, what he wants to say, stands alone and isn't being, you know, he's not getting beaten up, so to speak verbally by folks who are questioning him and peppering with questions. Maybe he's not prepared for that. Maybe he never wants to do that. And you shouldn't have to face that if he doesn't want to. He's already had enough scrutiny, but they've also gone on social media and put out statements. So yes, you can read them. You can see what his point of view is, but I find it very fascinating, because his big point was, yes, we are an upstanding and educated family. You know, he wanted people to know he isn't some idiot, some moron, who doesn't understand the law. And I can see why that would be important for him to clear up.
Rose, because that is the theme of a lot of the objections, Rose, we didn't like it from the beginning. Well, I will speak for myself, but I think you're in the same camp. Just how this guy was being attacked even during deliberations. We were confused. Why are you all coming after him? He won't agree with you. So now you're trying to find ways to almost to discredit him. It never felt right. It always felt like bullying to you. It always felt that way. What am I missing here? Some of the language they were using. And he's not frankly smart enough. He doesn't get it. And if that didn't work, actually, he's not following your rules, judge. Even Reddingfield came out at one point and said to the judge, he looked you in the face and lied. He just purged himself before this. It rose. They were coming after him. And then afterwards we found out, and Jig Gale King, damn dead, fall off the tarot live TV. He's black. What?
What? I mean, does it make sense now to know that he is from, he's the son of an immigrant? I mean, he actually himself emigrated to this country at the age of four. He has a strong religious background. He has a strong faith. And that was a huge part of where he stood on this story. He's also made it clear that he, he leans to the right. And so yes, this has often fallen on political lines. For whatever reason, I was actually surprised by that. What you think of Lindsey Clancy or what youth, her punishment should be. A lot of folks where they went was in line with their political beliefs, whether you, if you were liberal, you thought you, she should not go to prison and she should be declared mentally insane, I guess, for lack of a better term. But she suffered postpartum psychosis. And if you're more to the right, if you're more conservative, you want her to go to prison for her crime. So ropes, this fell exactly in line, except for what?
He's black. So you're not supposed to be in that second camp, you just name. That's what's blowing people's minds. And that's why Gail King's jaw is still on the phone. Yes, because he's putting it out there that he is a Trump supporter. So he is a Republican. He is to the right of things. And yes, that was not something that Gail King, or I would argue a lot of folks were expecting. You had to be a certain thing in a certain way. We label folks. Nope, you can't be this. He must be this. He's got to be the, what is a black guy? A black Catholic who's Republican. A black Catholic. Is this person? Yes, they exist, folks. And it just happened to be one in that jury room, who is being hailed by his attorney. We're going to read these statements, robs, and American hero. Yep. And I think a lot of people do look at him like that. And I have to say, I saw his, because they were digging up all, and I say they, the media, digging up a bunch of things about his past, saying he had an accusation of domestic violence. He was never convicted. Whether or not he paid his rent or not, yada, yada, yada.
You have an image in your mind. I see this picture. They release of him with his jury card. He looks like the sweetest guy with the biggest smile. Sweet Facebook. Yeah, he had a really, I don't know. He has a really sweet, warm face. It was not what I was expecting. And again, we only seen a picture. We have no idea about this guy. No idea. His background. Good guy, bad guy. Just a guy. It's not what we're talking about. We're only judging this world as based on what we see. And based now on what he has said, at least the words that are attributed to him. Now, this wrote, we have the longer statements and stuff he said from, that came from his attorney. But initially, his attorney offered this statement on his client's behalf. I didn't have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence present. Based on all of the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she, Clancy,
knew exactly what she was doing and planned. End of story, is it not? He gets to have that opinion. He gets to. And the world gets to. And you just happen to have one of them in the courtroom that feels that way and feels strongly that way. Robes, how many times did they come up? We talked about the prosecution mentioning sin, right? Moral sin. And that spoke to him as a Catholic. And it robs. He was a man of faith and as a man of faith. Yes, you get to bring that into the jury room. Everybody has. They're back. Absolutely. Everybody has it. We wondered and certainly you saw a defense attorney, Kevin Ruddington, go crazy when mortal sin was brought up twice by the prosecutors because you aren't supposed to do that. You are not supposed to bring that into a courtroom, into a US courtroom, separation of church and state.
But when she brought that up, she knew what she was doing because if she had a devout Catholic on there and chances were she did in the Boston area, which is predominantly Catholic, she knew she could speak to that that juror or those jurors because yes, as a person myself who was raised in the Catholic faith, you know, dying by suicide is a mortal sin. You cannot go to heaven. So how would she possibly think she was going to be with her kids if she then killed herself? But Roves, this was a part of the conversation. Mortal sin Catholicism, right? And the prosecution, it was at least two, aja, a witness did it once, right? It brought up, Catholic brought up mortal sin. So it happened twice in there. So if the prosecution was trying to sneak it in there, hoping they'd have a devout Catholic on that jury, she's probably not looking thinking it's the blackout. She probably didn't think it was Michael from Haiti. No. But his lawyer statement is really worth a read.
So we'll read it to you right now. I can confirm that I am representing the courageous and heroic lone holdout juror from the Lindsey Clancy trial. He is an American hero and champion of justice. Please pray for him and help us protect him. This American hero and champion of justice loves the United States of America as the greatest country in the world. Cherishes our sacred constitution as the pinnacle of human liberty and supports our amazing leader, President Donald J. Trump, as a fellow defender of common sense, liberty and sanity. I wish he hadn't put that in there. Well, you know what? His lawyer was a lawyer of President Trump. So what I'm saying is as far as defending his client in this conversation, I wish it's not in there because this now turns it into something else. Political. Yes, it is to where even if you gave this guy just a little pass and wanted to listen to this juror, you turn off half the country now. You turn off and they're absolutely don't want to listen
and now they feel justified to go after this guy. Of course. Because he's a Trump Trump. He's a mega. Right. So the statement goes on to say rest assured that the evil people who have so viciously attacked this American hero and champion of justice will be held accountable to the maximum extent of the law and beyond. In the meantime, though, he has persevered and remains utterly unbroken thanks to his devout Catholic faith as a devoted father and a man of God. He will not be defeated or shattered by the wicked who wish harm upon him. He is presently safe and sound at an undisclosed secure location in a rural area of Northern New England. Why don't you get vaguely specific? Like it's vague and specific. I'm going to say that. The longitude and latitude are as follows. No, I don't. Yes. OK. Lastly, this American hero and champion of justice thanks all of you who have stood by him for your kindness, prayers and supports. You have to stand by him. You should support.
Everybody should support his right to do what he did is the system. You don't like his vote. Bro, it's how hard it's. He is one of, I think they said there was somebody who was 22 on this jury, but he is on the younger end of everybody on this. And he had 11 white folks, mostly older than he is. For seven days. Wow. Telling him to change his mind. Wow. Who is this guy? 48 year old Michael P. Deserunville is who this is. And yes, he, I think this is probably at least for him, going to set him free, being able to defend himself, family and friends, defending him as well. He has a way, yeah. But look, the fact that he has to be at a secure location is telling. And scary that we have to protect jurors from physical harm potentially. But say with us folks, this attorney wasn't done. Had more statements, more things to say, including he wants to give a heads up in a warning
to anybody who is trying to at least financially support his client, we'll explain that. And also, ropes, we heard about whether or not we will be hearing from this juror again anytime soon. We manage work, kids appointments, everything. So if someone steals our identity, the last thing we need is another full time job, filling out forms and chasing down accounts. It feels good when the story ends with savings. It feels good to Geico. Hey TJ, I have something that might get your attention. You'll just saying that. Obviously you got my attention. All right, hero bread has a new collab, a twist of anti-ans hero bread pretzel bites with 16 grams of protein a serving. Stop anti-ans pretzel bites 16 grams of protein. Okay, yes, you have my attention now. And that's not all heroes. Breakfast bagels have up to 19 grams of protein and they also make sliced bread, tortilla, buns and noodles. So let me get this right. We are hearing from the hold out juror himself. Well, at least via his attorney because the hold out juror himself is in hiding right now, somewhere in rural New England. And so that's all we have in terms of where he is,
but they say his lawyer says he is unbroken, he is doing well. And yes, now he wants his side of the story to be told, but there are folks we've talked about this. There are gifts and goes, go fund me accounts that say they're operating on behalf of his client. He says to be careful to be where. Any and all gifts and go or go fund me accounts that purport to be operating on behalf of our courageous loan hold out juror, American hero and champion of justice are 100% fake. Babe, this is crazy. They have raised a ton of money. Bro, I was trying to get the latest from those two. Bro, this is scary. People are putting money out there and giving it to him. Like who are these? But he has said there is not a dime that has anywhere been collected for him. That's actually for him. Yes, he said there are 100% fake or at minimum were created by well-meaning individuals who we are not yet in touch with. So they're holding out hope maybe that these accounts
will at some point get in touch with this attorney because maybe up until now there was no way. Let's think the best of these folks who have set up these funds. Perhaps they were just waiting for how to get this money to them or to him. But anyway, he goes on to say we are in the process of arranging for appropriate and proper measures in this regard. In the meantime, anything else is an unauthorized scam or possibly unauthorized but well-meaning until I announce otherwise. Do not fall victim to opportunistic bad guys. And with regard to the unauthorized but well-meaning folks, we must first figure out what's going on with them to those well-meaning folks. Thank you for your humanity and kindness. So we're yeah, hundreds of thousands of being raised right now. And maybe, like you said, maybe why it might be. We're waiting to find out who to direct the money to. But he's also saying there are some bad actors. There are. And look, they will be prosecuted. You can't go up and put up a charitable donation
and say, hey, this money is going here and then pocket it for yourself. So this will be easy to track down. So yes, anyone who thought they were going to get away with it, that's a very public idiotic way to commit a crime. But we did get more from the attorney about media requests for his client. Yeah, stop sending them. Now people are not going to stop sending them. But he says his client is not going to be talking. He said, quote, I appreciate and respect the numerous understandable media requests that have poured in regarding our American hero and champion of justice. He will not be giving any interviews at this time. None zero. Moreover, I too will not be giving any interviews on his behalf at this time. None zero. Trying to make a point there, Rose. We are putting a lid on this thing and shutting it down. You could stop asking, I will not be doing any interviews. He won't either. That makes sense. He made it very clear. And he's very good at just saying the same thing. I feel like reading his statements are almost like reading a Trump truth social post. They are very, they're cut from the same cloth.
So it's not a shop. Repetition, certain words for emphasis. Yes, so he wants it to be very clear. This is what is not happening. And look, I would imagine he probably feels concerned for his safety at this point. And why would he put himself out there, put his face? And look, we don't know that he says he's doing well. But I can't imagine what this is like for an everyday citizen to suddenly be thrust into this type of spotlight with this kind of scrutiny, with a lot of people who feel extremely passionately against you. Angard certainly robs. But we have seen what anger turns into in this country in recent years. This is scary. There are threats going his way. You shouldn't to do your service that you are called to do, required to do, should not then require you to get police protection into going to hiding. And the police, it should be provided by the court. If he needs it, he should get it.
Absolutely. Yeah, everybody, you see that jury someone's coming to mail everybody. Everybody right now goes, I got to do this. But Rose, what if you add to this? What's going to happen to me? Right. What if someone doesn't like what I decide is the best verdict? The hero of this. Hey, sister, we'll see him maybe at some point come out public and in hope so, because that will let us know that maybe things have calmed down. I would like to see him sitting down with those other jurors. I don't know how much they hate this guy. Woo. But how heated did it get in that room? But Rose, I hate it. We hated what happened from the jump with this guy. It's, it seems to be getting worse. It was like it's even uglier than we anticipated. But we will, of course, stay on top of it. It is good to hear from him, at least he got out what he wanted to say via his attorney. And with that, everyone, thank you for listening to us. I'm Amy Robach alongside TJ Holmes. This is Tamara Judge and Teddy Melon Camp from Two Teas in a Pod. There's a moment before anyone says it out loud. The room just feels different. I've been thinking about that lately. And for me, that's what Pura is really about. Not just adding fragrance to a space, but shaping how a room feels is second you walk into it. Pura is a smart home fragrance diffuser, but the smart part isn't really about the tech. It's about what it does to a room. I can choose from hundreds of premium fragrances from brands I already love, then set the scent, intensity, and schedule right from my phone. The space responds to me, not the other way around. And honestly, the diffuser itself looks like something you'd intentionally put on a shelf. It's a modern design object that happens to change the atmosphere of your home. If you're thoughtful about how your space feels, take a look at Pura. Choose your sense of place at pure.com. That's pure.com. Honestly, honestly, no one wants to think about HIV,
but there are things that everyone can do to help prevent it. Things like prep, prep stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis. And it means routinely taking prescription medicine before you're exposed to HIV to help produce your chances of getting it. Prep can be about 99% effective when taken as prescribed. It doesn't protect against other STIs, though, so be sure to use condoms and other healthy sex practices.
