this look ya What gender Good We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. We're the chiefs. What's going on, everyone? Welcome into the Chiefs Self-Hotcast, Farzim Masouken here with you as we roll along week three now here. The chiefs and the dolphins will be breaking that game down. And I also got to jump into this whole mic, McDonald. Sean Payton thing. If you missed it, Mike McDonald, an interview with Graham Benzinger. If you don't know who Graham Benzinger is, he's not, this is not like a new media guy. He's also not the most famous guy in the world. He does have a great philosophical conversations.

They're a really podcast style, but I think he does it with a network. So it's got a nice blend of, you know, broadcast TV and podcasting mix in together. He is under a lot of fire right now because he leaked a conversation between himself and see how set coach Mike McDonald. And Mike McDonald was not aware that the conversation was being recorded while they're sitting in front of a camera and whatnot. Alex find all of that. And of course, we'll touch on some chiefs news, talk about the injury report here on this episode of the chiefs. So I appreciate you all joining me on a Wednesday night. Before we start the podcast, want to let you know tonight's episode is brought to you by Seeky. That's where I go to for all of my sports sickening needs. As a matter of fact, the chiefs, their next two road games are away. I know a lot of people are making the trip to Miami to catch the chiefs. A lot of chiefs fans have been making the trip to Vegas over the years, where the chiefs are undefeated when Patrick Holmes is a starting quarterback.

You guys want to attend any of those games or you want to attend a KU K state MU game or you want to wait for the chiefs to come back to Arrowhead Stadium. Four weeks six. Go get your tickets at Seeky. And if you're a new Seeky customer, use my promo code Farzing. That'll save you 20 bucks off your first purchase at Seeky. Get your tickets at Seeky and new customers. Don't forget at checkout, put it in my promo code Farzing, $20 off your first order at Seeky. All right, welcome in. Appreciate you guys. Not a whole lot of chiefs news this week. I do want to start with by just talking about, you know, kind of where the chiefs are. With their two and O start the only NFL team. That is top five and total offense and total defense. By the way, I need to address that with you guys. Some of you guys do not know what total offense and total defense means. Chiefs fans are allegedly the bandwagon fans, but what do I know?

Anyway, I'll get into that shortly, but just kind of the mood because Travis Kelsey was on his podcast today. I say today, but it came out. It came out on, they recorded on Tuesday. It came out this morning. Travis Kelsey. We know Travis Kelsey is always going to be open and brutally honest with. Anything that goes on with the with the chiefs or really his play. And Kelsey spoke about the teams two and O start to the season. And listen, Kelsey's obviously had a very big hand. And by the way, I did a YouTube video on this yesterday. And I talked about how not only does Kelsey look great this year. He looks 10 years younger, playing very well. He's one of the best pass catchers in the NFL top three tight end to start the season. But I mentioned the most important thing.

Travis Kelsey looks like he's having fun this year. And by the way, with Travis Kelsey's popularity, we know that Matt says feeling 22. There you go. Exactly. I want to say he's that he looks that young, but younger than 36. He turns 37 in two weeks, I believe. But here's the thing about Kelsey because of his popularity and Matt just alluded to a Taylor Swift lyric there. Because of his marriage to Taylor and just everything, there is a Travis Kelsey camera. There is a camera operator that is following Travis Kelsey at all times. So whenever Travis Kelsey gets upset at Joanne Taylor, like last year and week one on the field, or last year on the sidelines and week two against the Eagles, when he was upset, he was seeing tossing his helmet saying, I'm sick of this shit. If you can read lips and that was very clear as day, what he said. I mean, Kelsey was visibly frustrated. And he wasn't the only one we saw drew tranquil and Chris Jones get at it after at the end of a game.

But here's the here's the most interesting thing to me is that. Travis Kelsey, if he does something that's not caught live on camera, it'll be shown later in the game. Travis Kelsey has not done anything that's allowed networks to replay it and show, hey, here's Kelsey. This is what he did during the commercial break or this is what he did, you know, while a play was happening, while he's on the sidelines. No, you can't allow networks cannot put something out there. If you don't allow it, if you don't do it and Travis Kelsey so far has not been seen upset or angry or any of those things. That has not happened and that's good to see this chief team is having fun. Travis Kelsey said himself and he used the word fun a couple of times on his podcast.

Make it very clear that he's having fun. The team is having fun. The team camaraderie just seems very different and Travis Kelsey alluded to the new additions on the team, not just with players, but also coaches. And to me, it just seems like this chief team feels really good right now about where they are. And Matt says no real adversity yet though. Yeah, that's true. But here's the thing you can only play who's on your schedule unless I disagree with the adversity part. Denver, okay, it's only two weeks I get it. But I don't think Denver is this horrible team like they looked in week one. I mean, I get it in week one, there are 16 undefeated teams after week one, I should say 16 undefeated teams and 16 win list teams. Obviously that number shrinks the further we get into the season. Like look at the Raiders right now, there are two and nobody saw that coming.

Sure, there are two and no and they haven't played, you know, the greatest competition. They're going to be playing the league leader and passing yards this week, but. Nobody nobody thought the Raiders would be two and no. So as far as I'm concerned, they've proven something to me. No one expected the chiefs to look like this. And here's the funny part about all of this. There were a lot of people that predicted the chiefs demise said that they were going to be on a downhill slope and. You know, my home's was not even going to play this year and if he does, he faked it or he's going to get re-injured again. Do those same people are now, you know, quickly reverting back to the referee excuses. I mean, how quick are we to forget about our own prediction sometimes? This, this to me. Looks like what was mom's got sipping on that's pickle juice and yeah, Matt does a good job of mentioning a couple of people.

In fact, you know, it's good for electrolytes and whatnot. But that's not the point here. The thing to me is that. This chief seems looks like they're having fun. And Patrick, my homes in the press conference after a month of night football when the chiefs to beat the Broncos, someone had like a funny ringtone and my home's man a comment about it. I know that's a very small minuscule thing to bring up, but. When I heard Patrick make that comment, immediately my reaction was, man, his demeanor looks different compared to a lot of games last year. And listen, forget about last year with the six wins. Let's look at the year before when the chiefs only had one true loss in the regular season. And that was again spuffalo. Remember the black Friday game against the Raiders. The chiefs won that by a score of 1917. Raiders fumbled and the chiefs fell on top of it to end the game.

When it looked like the Raiders were just prepping for a field goal. Travis Kelsey did not have the greatest game. In fact, Kelsey missed the block where unless maybe the play call could have been better if they would have ran the ball on third and short. But Patrick had a wide open player down the field. And I believe it was Xavier worthy. Kelsey misses that block and my homes gets pressured. And my point bringing that up is Kelsey was visibly upset. He's actually leaving on the tunnel and the cameras are following him. Like I said, there's always a camera on Kelsey, even in the tunnel. And you can actually see one of the chiefs PR people following Kelsey trying to see if he could do an interview not realizing he was upset and just didn't want to talk. And I know Kelsey has I don't think Kelsey's done a press conference once since the season started. I know there's a rule on doing media, but it's not the most strictly enforced as well. Unless you're making it very evident you're not talking to the media all year.

Because I think there are some, oh, I know I take that back. Kelsey did talk to the media after Sunday night football. I forgot about that, but he did cut it short. Kelsey just seems to be more guarded now. You know, I don't have like an issue with it, but there are times where I want to hear from him. Yes, he does say things on his podcast, but that doesn't mean every question is answered. Right now, I don't think there are a lot of questions for Kelsey. But listen, Kelsey's a leader like my homes and Jones. I'd like to hear from him on a consistent basis. Jones is always one of press conference on Thursdays, my homes on Wednesdays. So as the season goes on, yeah, sure, there will be questions that come up. So we'll see how that all goes. But Kelsey is having a lot of fun right now. And by the way, he mentioned the coaches. Look, I mentioned to you guys last year. Because I mentioned the deep past game is not there. And who did I point it to? Matt Nagy. Now I want to be very clear here. I did not solely say that it's only on Matt Nagy.

I still mentioned the players have got to be better. But I told you guys, coaching matters. And I got all this pushback from some of you guys. Oh, far as in, but coaches are not players. They're on the sidelines. Then why do we have coaches to begin with? Why do we hire and fire coaches? Why do we see that in this sport? I don't have any sport for that matter. Well, look, look, I'm very well aware who's on the sidelines and who's on the field. But there's a reason why coaches get paid. There's a reason why owners will call coaches into their office. Sometimes during the season and say, here's the pink slip. So to me, coaching matters. Matt Nagy leaving Kansas City and listen. I gave Matt Nagy a pass for 2024 because of the injuries that year. Matt Nagy is about to coach a Giants team that's not going to have their quarterback for the remainder of the season. It sounds like the hope is that if they make the playoffs, he could be ready.

But is anyone really betting on that to happen? But neither here nor there. I mean, Matt Nagy is about to have a challenging season. People criticize Eric Bianne me for not doing well with Sam Howell. Let's see how Matt Nagy does with a former number one overall pick in Jamest Winston. Let's see how that goes. I mean, you still have some talent on that on that Giants team, Malik neighbors, Cam Skatabeu and so on. But yeah, I think coaching does matter, man. Eric, the enemy back and you're already seeing a massive difference. And I know a lot of people are some of the pushback I'm already getting from that is well, the chiefs now have Kenneth Walker. Yeah, that's true. But what was Eric Bianne me last year with the chiefs and who was the top running back that year? It was 2022 and Isaiah Pacheco was the top running back on the team. He was a rookie that year. And the chiefs had the number one offense in total yards and points scored.

Now Bianne me leaves 2023 Pacheco still you're running back Pacheco in 2023 was the same as 2022. Well, look, I know a lot of people have short-term memory and they they always think of the most recent stuff. Forget about Pacheco the last two years where he wasn't very good for the chiefs. Let's talk about Pacheco the first two years where he had two different offensive coordinators. Pacheco's rookie season. He had Bianne me where the offense was great. Number one in points in yards, but in 2023 we had a much different chiefs offense where they ranked 15th in point and 9th. And 9th in yards. So. And again, Pacheco was no bum that season. He was still very good that year. Now it wasn't a top 10 running back. What was the exact same in 2022? So. Oh, and by the way, he had merely the same wide receivers from 22 to 23 and that's when the drop started happening. There's. There's an impact, a positive impact with Eric Bianne me on the team.

And let's let me just say as a chiefs fan, I don't want Eric Bianne me to ever leave. Ideally, I'd like for Andy Reed to retire whenever that time comes and for Eric Bianne me to be the guy who takes over. Now is a fan of football and I told you guys this in the off season. If the chiefs offense reverts back to what it was the five years Bianne me was here where they ranked top six in yards and points each of those five years. The enemy should probably be getting head coaching offers now. I mean, the fact that this chiefs offense is already better than they were the last three years. And listen, if. It's early, I get it. But the way the chiefs are looking in two games way better than the last three years altogether. And let's. Let's actually put it to the test here. I was not anticipating on doing this, but let's look this up as we go.

Can you name me a two week stretch when Matt Nagy was the offensive coordinator of the last three years where the chief scored 30 points and back to back weeks. I'm looking at 2023. They scored 41 again Chicago. Justin Fields was there. I believe was the no Matt Nagy was back by then. Never mind. Yeah, they did not score 30 points and back to back games in 2023. Sure as hell was not the case in 2024, right? Let's see going down the list here. They scored 30 against Tampa Bay. Score 30 against Carolina. And then they scored 32 in the AFC championship game against Buffalo. And now let's go 2025. I know the chief scored 30 points a couple of times. They scored 37 against Baltimore and then 28 against Jacksonville. Now they lost to Jacksonville. But then the next two games they scored 30 against Detroit 31 against the Raiders.

And then 28 against Washington. So there was a what one two three four five week stretch. Where the chiefs look really good and they scored 30 points and back to back games. Detroit and Las Vegas. Three in the span of four weeks. But overall in the last three years, that's the only time you can really point that out. I mean, this chiefs offense. They're doing things that we have not seen in the last three years. They already have more big runs from a running back this year than last year. And that that was accomplished in one game. That's how insane of a difference. I mean, this running game is night and day compared to last year. He must not interview well or he would have had a job. Yeah, I don't know. It's hard to say without being in the room. Here's my theory. Remember Charlie Weiss and Romeo Cornell. They were offensive and defensive coordinators for Bill Bellachek in New England.

And they won three Super Bulls in the beginning of Tom Brady's career. That was the start of the Patriots dynasty. What happened to those guys? Charlie Weiss went to Notre Dame. Did awful. Goes to KU. Does even worse. Cornell goes to Cleveland. Does bad. He goes to Kansas City. Does worse. And I think, listen, a lot of the Bill Bellachek assistant coaches like, who's the most successful coach from the Bellachek coaching tree? Uh, and I'm his name is escaping my mind right now. Brian something from the Texans. Um, what's his name? I can't think of it right now. Uh, no, not Brian Cushing. He was a head coach. Bill Brian, that's who it was. Bill O'Brien had some postseason success. That might have been the most successful Patriots assistant coach in the,

in the Bellachek era in New England. So, and look what happened to him. I mean, could you even name where Bill O'Brien is today? I mean, he's in the college ranks as an administrative director. So, you just look across the board. And people were hesitant to want to give Patriots, uh, coaches jobs for a little bit. They eventually, I mean, they gave Joe judge the special teams coordinator from New England job, a head coaching job. Now, my theory is the reason Eric Bienne me did not get a head coaching job is because everyone felt like my homes and Kelsey and Andy Reed got all the credit. Now, I don't want to hear anything about Bienne me not being the play collar. We've seen non-play calling offensive coordinators get head coaching jobs in the last five years. Not being the play collar does not disqualify you from becoming a head coach.

Now, Matt Nagy almost sound like Nagy almost became the Titans head coach last year. Boy, that tells you how bad that franchise is right now. Um, I don't know. But what I do know is if the chiefs continue to play like this offensively, Bienne me should be the number one candidate. And the last three years versus this year should be the only evidence you need. As a chiefsman, I want him to stay though. I do. Thank you, pinch. I appreciate it. I feel like that's a plan for EB to take over when Andy is done. That's what a lot of people said when Bienne me was last year in Kansas City, but we keep thinking Andy reads about to step away. But he just continues going. A chiefs only scored 30 or more points three times last year with Nagy. We've already got two games with 30 or more. And I think that's enough proof for that. That's needed. Yeah, and that's true. And again, like, um, that is head coach of Boston College.

Oh, is that what he's doing now? Okay, that might be it. I must have gotten mixed up with. Oh, he was a Houston Texans GM. Okay, I'm completely missed that. I don't know. Realize he was a Houston Texans GM. Yeah, he is a head coach of Boston College. You're right. How is he doing at Boston College? I was not aware of that. See now I'm really curious and we're going off the rails here. Um, they're two and one this season. He's 11 and 17 so far at BC. That's not great. That is not great. But anyway, yeah. The chiefs are in a much better place with, with their offensive coordinator. Evie over spags. You know what's really surprising to me? Spags is not a head coach. He's the longest 10 year defensive coordinator in the NFL. Um, like in terms of teams that he has remained with. It was him and Lou and a room up. A Lou and a room. Oh, got fired by the Mangles a year or two ago.

So I don't know. Like it's spags choosing to interview, but then declines a lot of jobs. I don't know. So it's, um, it's interesting to see that. Uh, and yeah, I mean, we are kind of wondering, um, to see TJ says we need to comment on YouTube for no, we've been reading Facebook and YouTube comments. Um, now I don't read every single comment as much as I appreciate every single person commenting. It is hard to get through every single comment at, uh, you know, during a podcast. So, um, well said if I do get to your comment, great. If not, I apologize. Certainly not ignoring anyone. Uh, it is hard to read every single comment. So just be aware of that. Karen is asking, do you think he will ever come back to the chiefs? Matt Nagy? I hope not. I mean, look, I liked him as an offensive coordinator the first time. But the second time is an OC like, as excited as I was for him to take over for B. N.A.

Cause he did some good things when Alex was the quarterback here. Um, it just, it was a different, it was different. And I don't know why it's like he was ever an offensive coordinator before. And the other assistants like, Embry, the wide receivers coach. Last I checked around training camp, because we were talking about shadow, a shave back then. I looked it up. He's not, I don't think he's doing anything. He might be at the high school level. And maybe it's just not being reported publicly. But, um, yeah, it's, uh, it's been interesting. Do I think Kelsey would coach in retirement? I don't think so. Let me just say something to, I know I've said this many times. Coaching is not as glorious as it sounds or looks. If you guys watched the chiefs kingdom, docus series on ESPN, they show Andy read arriving to the facility at three, 30 AM. And remember that, uh, report of someone firing, uh, a gun at, uh, at the practice facility around midnight.

Well, the report states that Andy read was there and was within feet from where the bullet was fired. My point in bringing that up is Andy has been at the facility at midnight. We had Jason done on the podcast once before. Good friend of the podcast and also on chief concern. Uh, I asked him, you know, about the timing and he mentioned zeal, some coaches get there very early and say very late. If you are a coach in the NFL, you do not have a lot of free time on your hands. The amount of times that these guys spend with their families is very, very, very little. Like if you're, if you're wanting to be an NFL coach, and this is me talking to any young kid out there, if you want to be an NFL coach assistant coach head coach, whatever. Dude, if you want to be married and have kids, you better pick the most supportive wife that's willing to stick by your side through all of that, because it is not at all conducive for a family life. It's not. I'm not saying these guys never see their kids or families, but boy, they miss out on a lot of things. It's, it's not easy. Anyway, my point is to mention the, the Kelsey question here.

Yes, see, Roberts has probably going to the booth. There's been a lot of speculation about that lately. First of all, he has his podcasts right now. That is the most, is it not the most downloaded sports podcasts right now? If it's not him, it's got to be two. Number two, I mean, but regardless, like Kelsey is already, you know, he's going after all of these entertainment opportunities. I mean, he's got to have some kind of opportunity down the line that has nothing to do with coaching and far less stressful. I think Mitchell Schwartz once said he likes to privately train guys, but we'll never coach because of how bad the timing is and I get it. There are actually a lot of, I don't think a lot of people realize this. There are a lot of former players will shield Mitchell Schwartz, Desmond Moses. You don't have to be like an all pro. I think Gary Dieter does some of this as well. There are guys who are willing to do private coaching, but not like full time coaching for an NFL team. Some coaches will actually tell their players. If a player says, Hey, I want to be an assistant, they will ward them. It is very time consuming. So, by the way, Jeremiah is asking you about the, the Marvin Harrison rumors. Let me just say this because,

I've been asked about this on social media today. I remember when Marvin Harrison was coming to the NFL getting ready for the draft and, you know, it's never realistic because the chiefs are always picking on the bottom, except for last year. But I had people asking, is there any possibility the chiefs can form some sort of a package deal so they can go up to the top five and get Marvin Harrison junior. Marvin Harrison junior was a huge deal coming out of college. And of course, you know, with his name attached to him, Marvin Harrison, the son of former elite Hall of Fame wide receiver, Marvin Harrison with Indianapolis. Yeah, I mean, there's probably some pressure that goes with that. From what I've seen, his route running is at the best. And I do worry about the chiefs trading for a wide receiver mid season. I mean, yeah, they let Hopkins play, but he was on a limited snap count in some games.

Can he is Tony surprisingly played a lot when the chiefs trade for him. McCall Hardman. Yeah, that's different though, because he already knew the offense. Kelvin Benjamin didn't play much when he was in Kansas City. I don't know if I'm willing to trade much to get Marvin Harrison right now. I think Arizona would ask for a lot. Because Arizona's a team and we don't know what the rest of the season is going to look like. They look like they had a very impressive win in week one against the chargers, but we don't know what the rest of the season is going to look like. The Cardinals might be rebuilding. And if they are, they're probably going to be asking for a lot just so they can rebuild from him down the road. I don't know. Drake London comment twice. This might be huge. What's the Drake London comment Kyle. Yeah, like I said guys, we do get a lot of comments on here. I try my best to read as many of them as I can. I mean, if you're asking about Drake London coming to Kansas City. Not opposed, but again, what are you what are you giving up? Let me just say this because a lot of you guys will put out.

A lot of you guys will put out these ideas, but in order to get something you have to give up something. What are the chiefs willing to give up for a guy like Drake London? Not what you want them to what they would have to give up. And I think the expectation is the chiefs are going to go very far this year. So they're going to have a late draft pick. So that alone is not is not very enticing trade wise. He cuts out a fan and said he wants to play with my homes. They didn't really. I think I know you're talking about I think I saw him go at it with a fan. I don't think he said he would want to play with my homes. No way. Um, that'd be nice though. I mean, look, the chiefs could use some help out wide receiver. There's no question about it. Now I will say this. I think week one to week two, the wide receivers played better. Travis Kelsey is still your number one target. And that's okay.

If you go the entire season without a 1000 yard receiver at the wide receiver position and Travis Kelsey is your main guy, that's perfectly fine. However, the wide receivers still have to be key contributors in some manner. Like there's way too much talent from Rossi rice, Taikwan Thornings Xavier worthy for that to not be the case. And I think the wide receivers took a really big step in week two compared to week one. So let's see how that goes moving forward. Yeah, TJ is mentioning Tyree kill. He might not cost much. Yeah, that's, that's a possibility. Now the chiefs only have last I checked $3.3 million in cap space. Uh, look, I don't like to bring up players personal lives. We know how many kids Tyree kill has. Now he's made a lot of money. The last several years. So hopefully he's been very smart with his money. But man, I, I'd be shocked if he plays for a cheap price. I think he's going to demand something. That's just my prediction.

But we'll have to see. Uh, real quickly, before we go any further, I want to let you know those podcasts is also brought to you by the chiefs zone live. So again, Doron Sherry Foundation dot org. Get your tickets and we will see you at a Maristar casino on Saturday, October the 17th. What's up, be fine. I think before they would sign Hill, we should see what we have in Cyrus Allen. I said this earlier in the week, Brad. I know a lot of people were high on Cyrus Allen and training camp. Yeah, he was Mr. Popular and saying Joe. But you got to remember he's a fifth round pick for a reason. And I think right now the chiefs have some guys that they want to use ahead of him for now. Cyrus Allen will get involved. I know everyone wants that to happen now. And listen, given that the chiefs are playing a Miami Dolphin's team and listen, I underestimated the cults. So maybe I should be careful here.

But the chiefs are massive betting favorites against the dolphins. There might be an opportunity at the end of the game to get Cyrus Allen involved. We'll see. But here's my thing. I think the chiefs are going to continue to utilize the run game, which will open up the past game. Amit Johnson, because listen, you can't just keep giving Kenneth Walker 30 touches the game that can get the dangerous territory at the midway point of the season. I know what Andy reached set on Monday about how Walker does not want to be alleviated. Well, what else is Andy were you going to say publicly? Kenneth Walker is never going to say, yeah, I need some rent. And like no one's ever going to say that publicly. But logic tells you that you got to make sure you reduce his workload a little bit. So that way he can be ready to have a bigger workload in January when you get to the post season. Hopefully that's the case for Kansas. And this year. So I think you got to get Emma Johnson more involved in the next two games. And if that's the case, that's just going to open up the past game more. And I think that'll get the wide receivers much more involved after the by week.

And Cyrus Allen, I think will be a part of that. I don't think he'll be a major factor like some might expect, but he'll have some good involvement after the by week. That's that's when I would expect it from Cyrus Allen. Look, I know last year was a weird year for the chiefs using rookies and some of the other younger guys. You're seeing them utilize rookies more this year than they have in recent years specifically last year. Last year, I mean, the playing time for guys like Taiko on Thornton, no Williams, Jaden Hicks, Um, Omar Norman, lot granted he was dealing with some injuries. Jalen Royals was a really weird one last year. It didn't make any sense. And now we're seeing Taiko on Thornton used Taiko on Thornton had one not one, but two catches on Thornton long, including Jet Chip Wasp and overtime. Jalen Royals had just two catches, but two big ones one for a first down and the other a touchdown on a fork down play. So, you know, Khalil Benson playing left tackle and, you know, he's not considering he's never played left tackle before since high school. I think it was he's doing a damn good job at that.

And the defense, you know, wasn't perfect this last game, but they they come up with some stops when it matters the most. Here's what I will say about the defense underspags. I mean, the defense has not always been top tier from 2023, 2024 and 2025. The chiefs have been a very good defensive team top 10 in fact. However, even before 2023 where they allowed a lot of yards in 22, 21, 20 and 19, they would still come up with some key stops when it mattered the most. And that's what you saw on Sunday night against the Colts. Allow 30 points, a lot of a lot of yards, but they still manage to come up with big stuff. They forced a fourth and eight. And I don't want to dive into this too much because we discussed it on Monday, but the chiefs defense spags and the rest of the unit, they made Shane Steichen kind of second guess himself and what he wants to do on fourth and eight. You want to get confiable and give them a homes the ball or do you want to go for it, risk all the marbles, go for it on fourth and eight and not give them a homes the ball.

Well, it's an obviously knowing what we know now that should have been the case. Well, listen, fourth and eight, not fourth and 15. It might have been worth it to keep the ball out of my home's hands, but we already went over that on Monday. So I don't want to get into that too much right now. So case 70. Yeah, that's a good nickname for him. Jeff's got some good nicknames on on some guys. I think Jeff was the one that came up with K910. Jeff's Jeff's a nickname fortune. 70 was the highest grade of rookie lineman, perpFF last week. Yeah, that's true. And those are the good things right now we're seeing. Well, listen, I had my concerns. We had Doron Sherry, the week of the first game before the first game. And he expressed his concerns and questions about how the chiefs are shifting around offensive lineman. Jaylen Moore, Khalil Betts, it's working. I look, I keep telling myself we shouldn't ever question Andy Reed and sometimes we do that and we end up having to realize we need to take our own advice.

So props and Andy Reed, it's they're making it work for now. So we'll see how that goes. By the way, I've got a rant. I've got a bone to pick with some of you, not all of you, some of you. And a majority listen, I know not every single person listening to a cheese fan. And I know some of you non cheese fans are watching. So I posted this today. So here are the teams that are top five in total offense and top five in total defense. Obviously this diagram clearly states there's only one team in the NFL. Let's top five in total offense and top five in total defense. Now, here's the problem. And perhaps I'm wasting my time even talking about this, saying even anything about this. Some of you, again, not all of you, some of you love to argue about facts. Some of you want to push back against anything factual, some clown on Twitter earlier this week was telling me that if my homes, because Jaden Higgs was very close to hitting Daniel Jones near the sidelines.

When he was clearly in bounds, I will say it was a little too close for comfort. You know, Jaden Higgs has to be careful there that could have been an automatic first down and that would have not been good. But somebody commented and told me if that was the homes that would have been a first down. No, not quite. Roku and Smith hit Patrick, but homes almost the exact same spot last year, a couple of years ago, actually at Arrowhead and it was not called. Now I posted a screenshot showing the clear contact and bounds and people still question facts or push against it. So I have people telling me why do I rank these teams on the top five? Folks, cheese fans are allegedly the bandwagon fans yet cheese fans know how these stats work. So I'm going to educate some of you that don't know what total offense and total defense means.

Total offense means the most yardage put together. Total defense means the fewest yardage you have allowed. That's what puts these teams in the top five in total offense total defense. This is not about point scored. It's not about which quarterback has the most passing yards. It's total offensive yards forced and total defensive yards allowed. If you do not know this and you're going to call cheese fans bandwagon fans, go get a rule book and learn how some of these NFL stats work. The fact that I even have to say this is pretty embarrassing not for me, but for those who want to call cheese fans bandwagon fans. So again, I'm the I'm just posting facts. It's people that want to argue facts. I should have been surprised it's 2026.

I could tell you the grass is green and the sky is blue and someone will argue as hard as they can against it because that's our society today. A friend says more screens please, you know, it's funny and training camp. Travis Kelsey had a couple tight end screens and I saw all these comments. Why is a 36 year old running a tight end screen? No, Andy don't do this. And Travis Kelsey did that on Sunday night and it worked to perfection. Chiefs know what they're doing, man. Andy knows what he's doing. He just needed the right offensive coordinator and the right players are running him really and it's it's working to perfection. If we score early on Miami, I hope we step on their throats. I agree, TJ, but I don't think that that'll happen. I feel like we need to blow a team out and sump them. But I know that's not Andy's method. I feel like it would make a defensive coordinator nervous. Yeah, man, here's the thing. Some people will say that Andy doesn't. Yeah, this is a good point, Brad. Andy doesn't want to put too much on film.

Well, it's impossible to virtually go through your entire playbook in one game or even two games, three games for that matter. And he's been coaching a very long time. I mean, there are plays in that playbook that's probably from the 2000s and the 90s. All right. How often do they use those plays who knows, but it's impossible to reveal everything at the end of the day. Sorry says I'm posting a factor Raiders suck. Hey, they're two and no, man. Look, I hope the Raiders win Sunday against the Saints. I want that week for Vegas game to be three no Raiders versus three no chiefs. When it was the last time we've been able to say that about a chiefs game for the fourth game of the season. It's been a while. It's been a while. Don't try to rationalize. Yeah, that's my own mistake. TJs. That's what I realize.

A Venn diagram for the W keep it simple for the little brains. Yeah, but even the little brains don't know. They still will argue it. Do you think the chiefs are calling on fields availability with all these cubies dropping like flies. Yeah, you're obviously James referring to guys like Jackson Dart, color Murray is coming back, but we'll see. Who's the other quarterback Caleb. There was another one that had a that I thought had a bad injury. I can't remember right now, but I think the answer is no, because the chiefs traded a draft pick to get Justin fields. So unless the chiefs are getting something really nice in return. I don't think they want Garrett Nussmeyer to be quarterback to right now. I think look, the chiefs do not have a practice squad quarterback this year. I don't know if you guys knew this by the way. Crystal Adokin is now playing in the CFL, the Canadian League. He just got signed I think by the British Columbia Lions. So there's no crystal adokin to come back as a practice squad cubie.

Your scout team quarterback this year is Garrett Nussmeyer. This is Garrett Nussmeyer's rookie campaign. He is learning Andy reads entire playbook behind Patrick Mahomes and running scout team. That's Garrett Nussmeyer's duty this season because the expectation is Justin feels might not return next year and Garrett Nussmeyer then becomes quarterback to Garrett Nussmeyer could have been a first round draft pick had enough in for the injury that he's sustained last year. Because he was a top five pastor in college football the year before and is someone that can do some good things. I think for now the chiefs want Justin fields as that insurance policy just in case. Because the hope is that if not that you want my homes to miss games, but if my homes does have to miss games, the hope is fields has enough experience to where Andy read can get him to play to his potential. That's that's my expectation. Most likely to be traded fields, Fulton or more. See, I know you're pointing out here have some hope you're looking at the salary cap trading those guys will open up a lot of cap room.

But Jill and more I mean, do you want to trade him right now Christian Fulton? Christian Fulton would be a good player to trade, especially with Montserrat Delaun expected to return this week, but who's training for Fulton with $10 million attached to his name? Not to mention the most recent game and OK, maybe there were some close calls there, but the bottom line is he got penalized twice after the interception he got early in the game. So realistically, I don't think you're going to be trading any of those guys fields, maybe if you can get a really good deal. But I'm not I'm not baking on that. So let's see, you know, here's how bad the quarterback injuries have gotten Mike Floreo is suggesting calling cavernick to be brought in for a workout. Now listen, whatever your opinion is on whether or not cavernick should have gotten an opportunity or not back in 2016. That's one thing.

He hasn't played in nine years and he's 38 years old. There's nothing wrong with a 38 year old playing football, but when you haven't played in nine years, that's why the Philip Rivers thing. Yeah, I know he's familiar with stikin, but five years out of action. I don't know about that one. J didn't Daniels. Thank you. Yeah, that's another one that was that was a huge deal. So well, see how that goes. All right, before we get into the chiefs and dolphins breakdown, I have to address this. So Graham Ben Singer. I have not watched much of Graham Ben Singer's content. It's great. I know it used to be on YouTube. I think he moved it to a different platform now. I remember the first time I listened to Graham Ben Singer was in 2017. He did an interview, a sit down interview with Alex. He does sit down conversations with guys and these are like deep philosophical conversations. It's kind of like. It's kind of like Shannon Sharps podcast where he sits down with special guests. Some podcasts that are hosted by former players.

They love to do the sit down interviews with players and coaches. I know Jason Garrett does that. And they're fun to listen to Ryan Clark does the same thing. Graham Ben Singer, you know, has kind of been doing it long before a lot of people got into podcasting. He did one with Alex met that came out the same week. The chief stunned the patrons and week one. Remember that game. Karim Hunts debut. But that that interview was a philosophical. Even though it's an old interview, that is worth going back and listening to. Check that out if you have it. Now Graham Ben Singer, the reason I'm bringing this up, he did a sit down interview with Mike McDonald. Now this is not, you know, a one camera podcast where, you know, the other guys on zoom and whatnot. They're sitting down. They have professional lighting. He has a whole crew that helps set up with the cameras, the lighting, the seats, the, the angles, everything.

Now, at some point, you know, everybody, I say everyone, I mean, Graham Ben Singer and Mike McDonald, they're Mike up. And they're ready to go. And, you know, while they're recording, they're still setting up a little bit. And I guess Mike McDonald was not aware that the cameras were rolling and recording. But he shared a story that McDonald and the C.O.X. claimed to be off the record. They did not realize again that the record button had already been hit. So Mike McDonald shared a story about Sean Payton. So you guys have seen training camp videos across the league, including from yours truly. Sean Payton, I guess he picked up on some footage. I'm sorry, let me backtrack. Mike McDonald picked up on fan footage that was on social media. And he was trying to use that to study some of these.

Some of the pre-snap line ups basically. Sean Payton was going to falsely accused McDonald of spygate essentially. And the C.O.X. said, look, if you do this, we're going to sue you. This is all according to Mike McDonald, the head coach of the C.O.X. Well, Graham Benson, you're put it out there and a lot of social media outlets, media outlets, podcasting places. They clipped out and it went viral real fast. Mike McDonald put out, he spoke to the media, basically saying that he was not aware that the cameras were rolling, but admitted he had to be careful with his words. Some other things as well. Look, let me just say this. If you are Mike up, I mean, if they give you, you know, this little Mike and they clip it right here, this is an SD card, by the way, if they clip it right here, you know that whatever you say could be going into a recording.

Now, here's the reality of this. And I remember I, I bet a guess on KCTV five a few times in the past, they mic'd me up. And I'm just walking around with the microphone on me. Do you forget the Apple microphone on? I was about to leave the studio and their one of their engineers was like, hey, we need your microphone before you. I'm like, oh, shit, sorry. So you forget your mic'd up sometimes. I don't know if you guys have seen the show last chance you or if you've seen hard knocks. The people who are there, they get eventually comfortable with the cameras and forget the cameras are even there or that they're even mic'd up. Like you get pretty comfortable in certain settings, even with cameras and microphones. It might sound silly, but it is true. Mike McDonald is basically claiming that this was all off the record and that Graham Benzinger, he uploaded something that was before the actual start of their conversation of the actual show. Now, Graham Benzinger claims that he sent the footage to the Seahawks and they said nothing about it.

Listen, let me just say this. I have had people tell me things off the record and I'm not a fan of that. Have I used off the record sources before? Yes. If you've listened to me before, you've heard me say that before. Have I given respect to those people to avoid their names? Yes. I mean, they have told me, hey, you can't say this came from me, but and they tell me, you know, and I don't use all of them. I know whether you guys like this person or not. Kevin Keithman has said before when he was at a 10 that people in media will say won't say all that they know because sometimes you can't confirm things. So, and listen, there are some former players. I won't go into names. They've set things on social media and I've shared it because hey, this is their commentary and they have a really strong opinion. And I've been contacted by these people on multiple occasions to take down their commentary.

And listen, I don't ever want to get into it with anyone. So in respect, I've taken things down. Some of you guys might say why bother doing that when they've posted it publicly. It's a great point. If you're going to say things publicly, stand on it with two feet and 10 toes. Because here's a thing. Some of these guys do not want to have a negative relationship with the team that they are that they have a good connection with that they used to play for. Because they'll do charity events and other opportunities that they might not get elsewhere with other teams. But if you're a mic McDonald man, you're in front of a camera, you're in front of lights, you're in front of a microphone. You've got to know that anything you say will be shared. And listen, let's say if it was off the record and someone put it out there, that could have been a whole nother mess. It's only a big deal because you actually heard it from the horse's mouth.

So look, if you're the Seahawks and you're mad about this, that's not. That's not your, that's not grand bensinger's problem. I'm seeing a lot of people say bensinger shady for putting a pre-show conversation out there. He bensinger, I don't disagree by the way with the criticism, but bensinger's claiming he gave all of that footage to the Seahawks a few days beforehand. And they didn't say anything about it. I don't know. Those are just my thoughts on them, but I had to get that out there. If you're going to say something on camera, mic'd up, be ready for it to be used. If you do not want it out there, say it off the record. Plan is simple. All right, let's get into the game between the chiefs and the dolphins. I know a lot of people are going to be going to this one and I'm going to quick reminder, if you're a new Seaky customer, you want to go to the game in Miami. Seaky still has some great tickets available.

All you've got to do is use my promo code Farzine. If you're a new Seaky customer, that'll say be 20 bucks off your first order at Seaky. All right, this game will be on CBS and everyone's two favorite announcers in Kansas City. Kevin Harlan and Trent Green, Kevin Arlan, of course the former voice of the chiefs, also the former voice of the J-Hawks and Trent Green, the former quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs and future Hall of Famer still does a pre-season broadcast here in Kansas City. It feels like he's been doing that forever. They will be announcing this game. It'll be their first chiefs game of the year. Referee Alex Moore. It's his second year as a referee. His first game last year was the chiefs cults game that went into overtime. The chiefs are 11 and a half point betting favorites minus 675 on the money line. That is the most the most heavily favorite team for week three. 46 and a half is the over under the injury report. We haven't even mentioned this guy's name yet today. Josh Simmons did not practice. It is the first day of practice we'll see Andy Reed says he's getting better.

So whatever that means to you, take that for what it's worth. Shamari Conner did return to practice. It is the first time Shamari Conner is practicing since the season has kicked off. So good to see him back into the fold a little bit. And I say a little bit because he was one of four players limited. Lajeris Cid was also limited. So two defensive backs with a knee limited in practice today. Defensive lineman Felix and a DK Yuzama was limited with a quad injury as was Chris Jones with a calf. The Chris Jones thing is not a surprise because he was also limited last week. The good news is monster Delane. He was practicing in full with a shoulder deal. Obviously was active but did not play on Sunday. Andy Reed did say that there's a good chance monster Delane is going to be good to go in. We'll play this Sunday and that's going to be good to see because you're going to be going up against a week or offense. So this will be kind of a good test to listen. Not that you mean it's only three plays. Only one pass blocking or I'm sorry not pass blocking one pass coverage snap where he got an interception.

So he's got a 100% success right there. But as far as long term, I mean we don't know much about monster Delane and what is capable of. We haven't seen that yet in a regular season game. So hopefully he plays this game. It's a good test against Malik Willis the quarterback for the Miami dolphins who's only started what eight games in his career. This will be his ninth career start. So this is a good opportunity for monster Delane to get involved. Head coach is Jeff Halflay former Ohio State co-defensive coordinator was head coach of Boston College for four years and was a packer's defensive coordinator for a couple of years. The last two years, in fact, and you'll notice a couple of packer connections as we go on here. The dolphins were on the road for their first two games and they scored 13 points in each of those two games. So this is their home opener here, but it might feel like a road game. And by the way, you'll hear later on, there are a lot of rookies on this team. They drafted 13 rookies. I had 13 rookies.

Of course, they drafted 13 rookies, 13 players. They also went and acquired a couple of rookies from other teams. So they have a bunch of rookies on their team. Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowick. He actually was the dolphins, pass game coordinator, senior pass game coordinator from last year. A title he once had in San Francisco where Mike McDaniel was who was fired by the dolphins. And Jeff Halflay said we're promoting you to offensive coordinator. So he was a two year offensive coordinator with Houston. And now here he is serving as an offensive coordinator once again. They ranked 20. They are 24th or below. And total offense, rushing, passing, scoring, fourth down and red zone. Now, fourth down, they've only allowed one fourth down conversion on one attempt. So I can't really go on that too much. But third down, they are 21st in that category, allowing a conversion of 36% of the time.

Or they've converted 36% of the time. Excuse me. So their quarterback, Malik Willis, former tying second round pick was there for two years, was in green Bay for two years. So again, I mentioned earlier the packer connection. And this is one of them here. It's going to be his ninth career start in his eight games, including two this year. He has seven touchdowns and four interceptions. He has one touchdown and one pick so far this year. He's been sacked nine times in two games so far. He was sacked five times against the Raiders in week one and four times against the 49ers this past Sunday. So he's, he was sacked ten times his rookie year where he had three starts and he's about to surpass that this week. So I think Cantonese defense of front which got four stacks on bonics, but not on Daniel Jones. I expect that to change and revert back to how it was similar to week one. Now Malik Willis is a guy that's capable of running around in the pocket, kind of like a Chris Olodokin.

So we'll see if the chiefs can do a good job of containing him and bringing him down. Doesn't have a lot of firepower around them. They have Devon H. Ann who's been around for for some time now in Miami, but not having the greatest season former third-grunt pick from 2023. He's averaging three and a half yards per carry three point three against the Raiders three point seven against the 49ers 110 yards on the season for him. Now we also have seven catches for 49 yards, but heavily active there. Their tight and Greg dulyck has four catches for 35 yards. The other three tight ends on the team are all rookies, including one day quiet from Denver. So yeah, like I said, a lot of rookies and you're about to hear some more of them. Let's go to the wide receiver room Caleb Douglas who did not practice today due to an ankle injury. He's their leading receiver seven catches for 113 yards third-round pick from Texas Tech wide receiver Malik Washington. He's got seven catches for 96 yards wide receiver Chris Bell another rookie third-round pick from Louisville. One name you'll all recognize if you're a Mizou fan Kevin Coleman Jr. a fifth-round pick on the team as well.

And then they have Ryan Miller. He only has one catch on the season, but it was a 77 yard reception and that happened last week against the 49ers. So that is the offensive skill position players as far as their offensive line goes. Keep an eye on their right tackle Austin Jackson has not had a very good season at all former first-round pick from 2020 out of USC. Already allowed nine pressures and one sack and has committed three penalties in two games. That's bad. That's pretty bad. And then their right guard Jonah. Seven a year. Oh, I said that correctly. Four pressures allowed after surrendering 45 pressures and eight sacks last year at left guard. He's converting to right guard this year so far not off to the hottest start. They're a rookie left guard. Kate and Proctor. He's allowed four pressures and committed three penalties. Good run blocker, but I struggled in pass blocking first-round pick out of Alabama. So that is those are some of the key guys to keep an eye on on this offensive line.

That that that right side of Miami's offensive line. I think that's the side that's going to get abused the most. So I'm curious to see how often the chiefs are going to put George Carl off the sun that side. Armass and Thomas F.A. you who's been doing a solid job this season because that right side right there is the big weak link on the offensive line for the dolphins. And I think that's where you're going to see keep an eye on that this week. You're going to see the chiefs left side of the defensive line. That's the group that's going to attack the most going after Malik Willis. So expect the chiefs have some success on that side against Miami's offensive line the right side. Now let's go to the dolphins defense, which is coordinated by Sean Dougan, former Packers linebacker coach who followed Halfland to Miami. And like I said, Packer connection. Let's see there about the middle of the pack or near the bottom. 19th and total defense. 18th and rushing. 18th and passing. 28th and points allowed. 27th on third down defense. 21st on fourth down defense, which again, they've only allowed one conversion.

So can't get on go on that too much, but they're 29th in the red zone. Not very good to say the least a couple of the bright spots on their defense Jordan Brooks, great linebacker, great coverage. And also a phenomenal run stopping linebacker. So that's one player of the chiefs need to look out for whenever utilizing their run game. Their safety is ain't Anderson solid underrated cover safety, but that's about it in terms of the bright spots. Their rookie quarterback Chris Johnson first from pick from San Diego State. He has not done very well this season. He has allowed 10 catches of 15 targets for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns already on the season. Rookie defensive backs get picked on a lot and Chris Johnson is no exception to that. He has number three expect Patrick Mahomes to target any receiver towards number three's directional Miami office in Chris Johnson. Michael Taffy, safety for them. I struggled this year. Cornerback Jason Marshall. He's allowed six targets. I'm sorry, six catches off six targets. And he's allowed 64 yards on two and two touchdowns. That's not good. Another quarterback that you'll recognize from K state, jujou Brents did not allow a target last week, which is good.

One of the very few players that's actually done well for the Miami secondary. So expect Patrick mom to not target his direction often and go after Chris Johnson in this game. Their defensive line not the greatest. Zack Siler Jordan Phillips. Their defensive tackles not good against a run former chiefs defensive and Josh Ucheh part of this defensive line. Formerly with the chiefs to Patriots and also last year with the Eagles. He's also struggling against a run. So Kansas City is probably going to attack the right side of the offense this time around. It'll be Miami's left side, but Kansas City will go to their right side often. I know a lot of Kenneth Walker's bigger runs have come towards the left side. And listen, they might go attack the middle this time. They haven't done that too often. If they can have someone downfield pick up a block against Jordan Brooks. Kenneth Walker can get a lot of 10 to 15 yard gains up the middle in this game, I think.

So don't be surprised if you see that from Kenneth Walker in this game. I would expect some of that. A lot of his big runs have been on the left side. I think this game you'll see so on the right side and some straight up the middle. Not saying they won't do it on the left again in this game. They will. But I think the bigger ones will come either on the right or through the middle. So that is their defense in a nutshell. Just to give you an idea with their running backs they faced ashen genty ran 23 times for 102 yards. And then Christian McCaffrey had a weird game 10 runs for 23 yards and two touchdowns as a team. The 49ers had 95 rushing yards. They're leading Russia was Brock party. They're quarterback with 30. So that'll be that'll be interesting to see how the chiefs do against the Miami run defense because they have not been good at that 130 yards allowed against the Raiders all together. Certainly the the chiefs can do better. And real quickly, Miami's special teams coordinator Chris table was the bills special teams coordinator last year. Former Mizzou assistant in the late 90s and the early 2000s coaching offense running backs and whatnot eventually made his way to coaching special teams.

Their kicker Riley Patterson. He's two of three in every game this year so far. He's one of three in field goals from 40 or more yards away. So he is not even good from the 40 distance or even the 50s. He's been inconsistent on that so far this year in the early goings of the season. And the inconsistencies continue with their punter Bradley pinion not very good. He has the second lowest net punting average and also the fifth lowest overall average punning. Their kicker turner Jalen right he had a 79 yard kick return. I believe it was last week. So he has that to go for him. Malik Washington who we mentioned earlier the wide receiver. He's involved with the kicker turns and punter turns as well. So considering the dolphins give up a lot of points. They get a lot of kicker turns and punter turns. So expect to see Jalen right to try to be utilized. Try to give that Miami often somewhat of a jump start. So much of a good starting drive in this one. So that right there. That right there is the Miami dolphins offense in a nutshell. What do I think the score is going to be in this one here.

Man, I don't know. I've kind of gone in different places with this one. The chiefs are 11 and a half point betting favorites. I think they cover that. And by the way, let me know your score prediction in this game. Do I think questions will get a sack. Maybe I want a bit on that. But let me know your prediction your score predictions for this game. I'm going to go 31 17 in this one. I think the chiefs are going to continue to score in the 30s. I think the offensively you'll see about our game. I think the dolphins might get a garbage time touchdown or two in the fourth quarter. I don't expect too much from Miami in this game. If they can find a way to shut down to Von Hn who's who's a speedy running back. Boy, you're putting a lot of pressure on Malik Willis who has not been good in his career and has not been very good this season. So I think if the chiefs can find a way to exploit the right side of Miami's offensive line, that's when they can really start shutting down this Miami offense. And they might not be able to do too much. So I think the chiefs overall will do pretty well in this one. My score prediction. I'm going 31 17. I think 31 17 is going to be the score to this game. And I think Kansas City will improve to 3 and 0 and they will get ready for a Raiders team that will probably be 3 and 0 as well.

The Raiders are facing a tough Saints team. I mean, the Saints have been. It's been down to the wire and both their games against Detroit and Baltimore. So it's not a guarantee the Raiders will win. But I think that would be great going into week four. So I've got the chiefs winning and improving to 3 and 0. So that is my score prediction for this one. TJ says 38 17 Jeremiah 28 3 Jennifer is going 35 10 blue shirt says 34 14. Yes, seems like a lot of us are in agreement as to what the score differential might be.
