Carlie Irsay-Gordon Pushes for 18-Game NFL Season

0:00On March 30th, Colt's owner, Carly Erse Gordon, is pushing for an 18-game NFL season, saying it's on the table if players buy in for the extra. Cash and higher quality play. Back in the 2021 season, the league bumped from 16-17 games and dropped one preseason matchup to make room. Fans and insiders are split on the impact, with some eyeing the revenue boost to the salary cap, while others worry about skimping on early practices. And piling up pointless late season games. Commissioner Roger Gadell floated swapping another preseason game for that 18th regular one, tossing in a second by-week pertain to keep. Player safety intact. These chats are still in early stages, so expect more noise as owners and the players' union hash it out before anything sticks.
