Welcome everyone to the BTB Movie Club. This is a BTB short. BTB does the ND. Welcome back listeners to BTB.DND, our BTB short starring our BTB crew. When we last left off, our adventurers had just finished their first round of combat against some mercenary betrayers, and they're doing quite well. They were even able to take out a couple of foes before the end of the round. As the top of the order was coming around in our light-soldier came crawling out of the bigger battle, seemingly hurt and seeking help. What will our crew do? Let's jump back into the action to find out. All right, going back to the top, Jaguarius, it is your turn. You have two dead mercenaries. You have some well-trained war horses and you have mercenary three.

Jaguarius is kind of torn. All right, I'll tuck and go and care wounds on the guy. I gotta hit my touch, so I gotta walk over to the guy that just crawled onto the field. Here, and that's a touch in that can trip? That, now it's another spell. Domain spell, if that matters. Yeah, so it's a D8 plus my modifier, which is five. Okay, so roll the D8, add the five, and that's not what she's gonna get. Okay, and then what was, because I don't see anything about domain spells on here again, what's like, does it cost me something? I'm gonna look at how about you roll, and I'll look. That's fair. Gotcha. I roll the five. Oh, that's good. So, 10? I healed this guy, 10 points, 10 hit points. All right, so he's looking good. He feels very well. And as you had to put your hands on him, right?

It's a touch. Yes. Okay, so as you put your hands on him and sort of this healing energy, and you feel, what did we, did you decide what your holy symbol was? Is it a medallion or is it on your mace, or what did you decide? It's a pendant that I have under my cloak. So you feel that pendant get kind of warm on your chest, and you feel this healing surge kind of come through your hands, and this guy looks at you, and it's like he just saw God. He just does it. He's like, what the heck just happened? Oh, but you do, you do, you do healing for 10, and he is, he's starting to get back up on his feet. He, he might be able to help you guys. Because we need so much help. Well, barely, it's early. Kind of racking shit here. Come on. Dungid cocky. You should always have a prepared, you should talk.

Thrust hard. Oh, no, domain spell just means domain spell just means you don't counter against your prepared. So, so it still uses a slot, but you did the right thing, which is the important part. So you'll have to do the club have some. Go ahead. No, I'm good. Okay. You were going to stay there and I can move back. You're good. Now that this guy is looking at me kind of funny, like the whole God thing, I'm actually freaked out a little bit by that. So I'm going to take two steps back kind of about two to the left of where a Thaes is. Don't fucking stand next to me. I don't care. I'm keeping my distance from you to ask. All right. Is he going to scoff? I'm waiting for the scoff. You careful. Yeah. He's just, by the way, while Jaguarius is holding his hand on the guy, he's also holding the middle finger up the phase. Yeah. When he stood next to me, I said, I like it. Jagatius. Do I need to roll for him to see the middle finger or?

No, I'm pretty sure he sees it. You should see straight up your ass if you're not careful. All right. Mercenary three is not liking how this is going. So he's going to take a run for it. However, Bullock, since he's next to you, you get to take an attack of opportunity. So you get to get a free attack on the sky. Let's go. Let's go Bullock. So get in there, B. Is it like the throwing dagger would be the better way to go since he's running away or a bad luck? So as soon as he turns the run, you have the ability to just melee and hit him in the back. In the back. Roll him in the riffraff. 20 side to dice. Yes, sir, and add your attack modifier. Roll it. Roll it. Roll it. So 19. So I got 24. Oh, you hit him. So now you roll your damage dice. Which is the eight sided? Maybe. D8, one D8. Yep, plus something, right?

Yep. I got an eight plus three. Oh, yeah. Oh, 11. You, he turns to run and you're like, nope. And you just drive that axe right between his shoulder blades. And it's, it's not even, he, his armor must be made of jelly. You just go right through it and right into it. And it's actually kind of hard to get the axe out as you're going, because that's how hard you hit him. He is very, very dead. This says, bowl our all day. I turn to run on me, motherfucker. All right. So as you're doing that and as you're starting to feel real good about yourself, from behind, you hear. I knew I should. What's this then? Yeah, that's the best I can, that's my older voice. That's my older voice. What's this then? And you see a half-older who you saw earlier, if you remember, as part of the mercenary crew,

he has got four guards around him and they are coming out of sort of the fray over here, seeing kind of how things were going. They decide they needed to come up and take part. So we are not going to reroll initiative, but I do need to put these guys in. So give me one second. So you have a half-older, because he is big. That's why he takes up so much space, by the way, because he is very large. And then you have four more mercenaries, which I'll get in here. Sorry, if I knew how to use this program better, I probably could have pre-done this, but this program is outstanding. This is awesome. For those of you listening, Matt is injecting new monsters onto our map that we are seeing, and it's pretty cool. So these three are all here, and then four is different.

He actually has a bow, and all the rest of them have spears and shields. That motherfucker. So this guy, I don't know if you just want to remember that, the guy that goes after Gregonus is got a bow. All the rest of them have spears, so this guy would probably be back here, actually. So they come out of the free of battle, and who... Matt are they like... I mean, because these guys, they did a pretty devastating job of basically cutting two of the three guys in half. Like, do we... Wait, the horse do we know? What? What's that? So the horses are gone? Yeah, they run off when their guys die. I don't want them to get in the way. All right, fine. Sorry, did I ruin it? Here, I'll leave... Well, I was gonna make an effort, but it's cool. We'll leave. We'll see he gets to hear. The rest of the hard is looking for the horses. But anyway, Matt, do we know, like, did seeing these guys,

what our guys just did to their guys, does it like, jack them up? Are they like crazy angry, or are they a little hesitant? So I would say the mercenaries are... The mercenaries are a little hesitant, for sure. But the half-ulver is... He's all about it. He's laughing. He's just having a grand old time. He doesn't care who... He doesn't care who's getting killed. His side, their side, doesn't matter. He's just laughing. Can he see Tyler in the tree? That is a great question, man. That's not... He cannot. He's in the tree. He's a glorious... Let's fuck you, take this guy out. And also... Yeah. Or the red road wizard. That glorious, jagatius, the guard that he helped, is he now available... He's at the bottom of the initiative. He's gonna help. Yeah, so he... And I did roll for him. He's still at the bottom, but yes, he is in the fray. And he... He looks like he might want to be protecting us a certain cleric in the group, just throwing it out there.

Well, he listened to the cleric. If the cleric tells him to go do something else, there's only one way to find out. All right, fair enough. The way to sell out Tyler there... You gotta... You just have to talk seductively to this guy and then you're good to go. The good news is... The good news is... He's gonna wanna know. The good news is... It's Sundren's turn, not their turn. So, you got a little bit of time here. Uh... Probably gonna go for one of the mercenaries. Let's take mercenary one. All right, so you wanna move, I assume? Yeah, move me towards mercenary one. Yeah, get in there. I'm gonna put him... Sorry, that's very brave. I'm gonna put him on a square just to make it a little easier. Sorry. I know, that's not exactly how they came out. Sundren just put himself on the front line with no backup for those... No. Or he's got pride. I'm going for it. Get after that, I'm fine. All right, so you... He does have a shield. And did I...

I said spears before, I meant short sword. So he's got a short sword in a shield just so you know. So that will make him a little harder to hit. Okay. So... Roll my D20. Yep. I got a 19. Oh, that's plenty. That's four. You don't even... You don't even have to add anything. So you are gonna hit him, so roll your damage. Seven plus two, so nine. That's great. So this was one, right? That is... What did you say to eight? Uh... No. Nine. Nine. Nine, nine, nine, nine. Sorry. Yeah, you... And you have a hammer. Warhammer. You take your war hammer and you kinda... You kinda swing at his legs and you're... Even for his knee, I assume. But you kinda miss, but you hit his armor so hard. I think it is like hit or something, like a little bit higher up. Oh. Sure. You hit his hip and his armor dents in and you can see like it's really painful. Like, ugh. Like his armor's digging into his hip right now.

So yeah, so you can stay put. You can try to move, but he'll get an attack. Take two steps back, man. There's a bunch of mercenaries and a half-oga right next to you. Can't step back. I can't step back. You can. You can't just attack the brine. You actually only have five feet of movement left because you're a dwarf, I think. So it probably wouldn't do any good anyway because I just come up. The rest is coming next. Okay, so I probably should just attack again with my action surge or... So action surge is once per rest. Oh, okay. You'll have to be get out of combat to get that back. Okay. Otherwise, D&D level two fighters would be OP. Okay. Yeah, higher level. Like... Yeah, as you get higher in level, you need to do it. Yeah. We're all just amongst the number two's. Weaves. You're in a fucking tree.

Okay. I am getting sick of you're fucking mouth. It's coming from the guy that's like 30 feet away from the battle, really. All right. Stop hiding behind the wall, man. I don't know if you're behind the wall. You just got over to the other side. You're still hiding behind the wall. Now you're behind the wall. You know, I would say, you know, this is weird, but this is like literally how 50% of games go. And he was amazing. How quick. Yes, everyone just defaults into this mode. Anyway, since you're done, I guess I'm done. Okay. So crash your turn, buddy. All right. I should do something else, but I'm going to take 20 to 25 feet and go toward that war horse. And Robert Redford, my way. You can get all the way there because he's large. Okay. And I want to see if I can, you know, let him trust me.

I'm not going to be in the first one. I'm not going to be in the first one. So. Do you want to try to get on or you're just sort of. Well, first one in the, that's cute. Okay. First one in the, I'm not like, you know, not. Overplaying my hand. I don't want to. Right. Go ahead and make. Say a athletics check. To see if you can. I'm going to. And then I'm going to do this. And then I'm going to do this. Three mercenary moves in a row after this with now. Can I, can I, can I retcon you real quick? Do you want to raise it before you do that? Oh, thank you. Yes. That way you get a little bit of bonus on that, right? I should have done it before. But yeah, it actually is a strength check. So thank you. I meant to do that last time, probably killed the D. All right. Let's see. I don't get killed by the horse, please. I rolled. Yeah. He's crap. He's riding the horse. He is, he's on the horse.

Crash, you have, you, you run towards this horse. This horse is a well trained war horse. So it doesn't run away from you. But as you get closer, you're not sure how intelligent this horse is. But it's eyes got real wide for a second. And you just leap on top of this thing, like blazing saddle style. And you turn in mid air and you are on the horse. What a crash. Crash. Crash is riding the horse. Now, because you did that, he is going to take off. Because now he has this weird rider around him. So we'll say before you get, you did roll a natural 20. So I'll say it gets you about here before you kind of get him under control. You've ridden the horse before you, you just isn't your first rodeo. Audio. All right. So that's your action bonus action and movements. I think you're done unless I'm missing something. Oh, man, I'm very good with that. Thanks for that.

And as well as it could have been expected. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Mercenary three. Um, he is looking for the weak links here. So he sees these two. Yeah. See, he's thesis over there. Yeah. Piding behind the wall. We'll say he goes there and he's going to take a swing at you. Cheguarius. And he is going to see. 18. Against your AC. I think that hit 14. Yeah. So he is going to do. Knock you over the wall. He is. Oh my gosh. My damage rolls are crap. I'm going to get a little one again. So he does two damage to you. Yeah. Two slashing. Not that it matters. So he take two. Uh, and so. And he looks real sad about it. Like, oh, this guy doesn't even have any armor on.

It's nice. I suck at this. So that is mercenary three. A leather armor. Well, I know, but you don't have metal on, right? You're not wearing metal. All right. So he's going to take a swing at. And that is a 12 to hit. I'm pretty sure that misses. Uh, yes. Okay. So he takes a swing with the short sword. And you know, I know you don't like the. I know you don't like your height being made fun of. But it is saving you. You just. You just kind of duck. And he just kind of goes right over the top. He's confused. I think he's very confused. Uh, he's going to stay put. Mercenary two. Uh, let's see. He might. I think he's going to. Yep. 25. He can't get quite there, but he's going to come over here. And he's got his eye on you. Red rog. Rogue wizard. You're not rogue. Sorry. I should have said that. Um, he can't do anything though. I'm pretty sure. No, he doesn't have it. So he just comes up and he glares at you. Menacingly. You're going to. I'm going to. I'm going to. I'm going to.

I'm going to. I'm going to. I'm going to. Alrightie. This is爸. Well, guys like him. He's going to be scarred. You might be scarred, mentally healthy. God willing. Obviously you are. We're not talking about this again. thee, Caisos. Sorry. I mean, You can also beat me for being tasty. Historically, You're going to get it next time checks his fist. Can I scoff at that? Sorry, three. Yep. That's not there. I was going to look at mercenary too. Go ahead and take your role. He is focused on Jaguarius. I'm going to give you advantage. So you get to roll your D20 twice and you take the higher number. Okay. So one

do you know that's bad? That's going to be higher. Yeah. That's seven on the second. Plus what? So which one do I look for the plus? So it should say like a attack modifier? Okay. Yeah. I have plus five. Okay. So what's your role? So so is a 12. So you hit fairly, but you hit. So you are on mercenary three. So now you roll your damage. So whatever that says next to it, one D something or two D something. Yep. Says one D. And then what's dice to our role? What does it say to say 8 10 12? Says 1 D 12. Okay. So roll the 12 side of die. And then add whatever number it says after that. That's the doughdecker headron. It is very good. So six. Six plus six plus as well. No, six plus what does it say after the 1 D 12.

It says three. Okay. So nine. So you do nine. Okay. And you're attacking mercenary three. Beautiful. So you take your axe and you kind of come up behind him and you. You don't quite cut his arm off like bull are dead before, but you, you sink your axe. Pretty good into him and he's looking pretty hurt. So I think that's your movement and okay. Did may is there a way that we can know how many hit points these guys get? I usually try not to do that, but he, he like is there. So I thought there was like something where like somebody can have knowledge of something. Like if they have a, whether it's a spell, I will, I will say this. If you took your turn to sort of like survey it instead of attacking, I would definitely give you more information. Okay. He's good info. I'm just asking for this. Yeah. He's looking pretty hurt. And then Ryan will got to remind Dan next time to rage because I forgot again.

Oh, I put it for age. Okay. It's okay. We'll do it now. Wait. Yeah, but then he's going to have a rage against the fucking gold. And so just we'll remember that next time. So I think you're good, right? Bull are I think you're up here. Rage against Greg. I want to attack Greg. Gowness. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You got plenty of movement here. Let's go. Yeah. That's that's how you jump over a wall. Wow. Like like hockey boards hand down. Like to the side. So I want to go ahead. So I don't. Okay. So I am a shield master. Okay. And I have the ability to shove a creature that's within five feet of me. Okay. So do I get to attack first and then try that? I believe it is part of your attack.

It says if you take the attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to try and shove the creature within five feet of you. Yes. So you would want to attack first. Oh, sorry. Go ahead, Ryan. I was just saying, I love it. Sometimes there's like a size limit to who and what. So the good news is it's a half-over. Not a full-over. So I'm going to say unless you are because you're pretty strong, right? I am. I'll double check with roll your attack first because I think you have to attack first. Okay. My attack is a seven plus five is a 12. Funny enough that will hit. Yes. Nice. Now damage is an eight plus three. 11. Oh, that is pretty good. Yeah. You swing your axe and he kind of doesn't. He's kind of laughing at what's going on in front of him. He just likes to laugh, I guess. He's kind of a he's a happy guy. And he he is kind of not paying attention.

He kind of sees you come out and know when he's like, oh, and you just whack him across the, the chest and he uses big gash across his chest. And he kind of looks down and he's not always smiling at you. He likes it. He likes what's going on here. So you do a lot of damage. Now as a bonus action, you want to try to push him, correct? Yes. Because I could push him into the melee. You could. That is true. Let me just double check. I'm almost positive. So go ahead and roll a strength. Check roll your D20 and I think you add five. And then I'm all. My role is it to. Oh, no. Plus five. Well, plus five seven. Seven. Yeah. So you know what's funny about that? He rolled a five, but he has a plus three. So that's eight. He resists your shove. But he he does look a little worried when you're kind of shut, you know, like, oh, shoot.

In in end game, when Captain America starts to shove the fingers back of Thanos and Thanos looks a little worried, he kind of has that look on his face like holy crap. What is this guy doing? I assume that's your turn. Yes. Okay. Tyler. So yeah, I'm going to I'm going to use my hunter's mark on Greg. Is that an action or a bonus action? Bonus action. A ring is too small for him. There we go. That's your bonus action. Beautiful. All right. And I assume you're going to take a shot at him. Yeah. I'm going to say you're high enough where Bolar is safe. Okay. Yeah. Because you're up a tree. Yep. That's what I was. All right. It's going to roll your attack. Oh, fuck it was a four plus plus a seven. Oh, 11 just misses. So you go to take a shot and you got him head up. But you're so afraid of hitting Bolar that you kind of you do you get the yips a little

bit and you kind of just go right above his head. Where you can say something. No, yeah, I was just looking at what the hunter's mark. It's only for damage. I was hoping it would help you know for damage and I think wisdom checks. Yep. Um, did I give away my position? Um, no. Okay. He's so he's so impressed with Bolar strength that he has. He's what's going on. Is he? If you would rather give up his position than get Brian. I mean, you didn't like just feels like he won the game. You're just like no matter what else happens. Um, I mean, your arrow didn't have a ribbon on it and you, you know, like, you know, like, yeah, like it wasn't close enough. We're like, he saw it or anything. Right. Right. Right. It went over his head. It didn't hit him. So if you got, did I just lose my screen? Or do you guys still have it? No, I'm all good. Okay. I clicked something so I can see you instead of my screen.

There it is. Okay. Question. How long does Hunter's mark last? Oh, I got a question. What's it? You said that until the target drops to zero before the spell ends. It's an hour. Yeah. Okay. So it's still on for a little while. It is concentration. So if, uh, well, if you remember that, Aaron, if you get hit at all, you'll have to make a way over that. That's true. Unless the end of this point, it's a point in that me and yelling. All right. Um, so you're good, I think, right? Yeah, I'm done. Okay. Uh, then we are on the red robed sorcerer. Here it comes. I'm going to hit, um, mercenary two and three with a sleep spell. Oh, um, what's the, what's the radius on that? The radius on the sleep spell is hang on. Let me check my, it's a 90 feet.

Okay. I think, oh, gosh. How many people have you put every two? 20 feet to a point you choose. So you get to choose the point. So I am going to make an assumption here that you being a wonderful sorcerer are not going to, well, you're probably going to have to constantly not probably going to be in here. I don't think you're going to be able to do this without getting some of your buddies in there. Oh, I don't want to hit you up with the sleep. So I want to, so you know, I want to hit mercenary two with the sleep. Yeah. So the, you could get to for sure. But if you try to get to learn, okay, not about the tree. So just say, no, I am in that radius, but I can't be put to sleep. So I'm okay. Oh, he yells across the battlefield. Go ahead and put in a sleep. Yes. So yes, you could do it from a point where you could get Jaguariah Jaguarius. Wow. Yes. I'll get it. I'll personally three more. I'll say you can do it because you're so good at magic.

Thank you. So roll your five D whatever. Okay. So sleep spell. I'm just going to help you out here. It's five D eight. Yes. What it says. So I need to roll my eight. I didn't die. Yeah. Five times. Five times. Five times. Okay. Yes. That's what five D eight. I don't know. I don't know. So I'm going to let you keep track of this. I rolled a seven. Okay. I rolled a two nine. I rolled a five 14 14. I rolled a four. 18 and I rolled a five. 23. All right. So mercenary. Who did you target? I'm sorry. Three and no two two and three. Two and three and Jaguarius. You kind of feel it, but you're an answer. You kind of shake it off.

Does this matter? My spell attack bonus is plus four. Does that matter? No, not for this one. So mercenary three is definitely asleep. Mercenary to what you what we say 23 total. Yeah. Tim roll your two d tens, the double digit one and the regular digit one. And tell me the two numbers. All right. I got a eight and a 20. Yeah. So guard two is not put to sleep. Okay. Did not roll high enough for your five, the eight, but guard three is definitely a sleep. And I know because we have new players here, I'm just going to point this out. If a person is asleep and you hit them, they will wake up just so that nobody knows. But he is asleep and prone, which gives you advantage on a tax against him.

So, you know, do that, do with that what you will. Guard three is looking pretty beat up. Guard two is perfect. He has not been hit by anybody. So just updating everybody on the. All right. So he is asleep. So that was your action. Do you want to move at all? Yeah, I think so because I was I should have just targeted mercenary to there. Like you said, that's what makes it interesting. Yeah. Well, you know, just who did he put to sleep both the both three and two? Just three, murk two, and in fact, I think I have a sleep in here. So anyway, go ahead. I thought wait, who do you put to sleep? Mercenary three is asleep. Oh, I thought it was two. Am I. I should just focus on him. Yeah, but you wouldn't have known that. So it's okay. All right. So I'm going to move three to the right and two down.

Okay. Night. Oh, wait. No, that's not a night. Yeah, that's crash. You're the right. Okay. So you're good there. Well, they're in it now. How will they handle this new half-oagrophone? Will crash right off into the sunset? Will Tyler ever come out of that tree? We'll answer these important questions. Oh, and do some more D and D next time on BDB does D and D. Thank you for joining us on BTV does D and D of BTV short. The BTV movie club is partnered with the SPDM crew podcasting network.
