Man, that sounds like such a long time ago 19 something. That means it was another century Yeah, I'm doing great. How are you out of doing? We are doing well Warren looking forward to this match of this weekend Between the 49ers and the Seahawks But before we get to that conversation in the match of this weekend I did want to acknowledge a NFL legend that we lost this morning One of your brothers in the NFL Hall of Fame legendary player and coach might Dicca passway this morning at the age of 86 So Warren just kind of wanted to open the floor to you to see if you had any thoughts on the life and career of Mike Dicca Yeah, you know, I got a chance to meet Mike many years ago and This was when he was it was still coaching. He wasn't a player then But he was a great player from what I saw on tape and

2:04It's a very aggressive tie to any kind of change the way the tie to in position was played when when he started playing that position Then of course became a very successful and fiery head coach There puts Chicago bears taking them to a super bowl and winning in 1980 I think 1985 He's just a colorful character all the way around, you know, he he was a fiery character. He Wars Is his feelings on his sleeve you let everybody know exactly what he thought and what he meant And I love that about him and his players respected him. So yeah, he's somebody we're gonna all miss Whether you're new and personally or whether you're just knowing from afar Just one of the great people in the national football league family and uh My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family Yeah, and Warren. I mean He is like many coaches they take on the personality of of their leader And I feel like his teams often took on his his fiery type personality No question about it. You know he played and those Chicago bears teams that have Mike I mean um

3:08Dick butk is their middle linebacker. They had gale sairs on that team They had some great players almost bears football teams But yeah, Mike was the guy that had that fiery personality that everybody just kind of gravitated to and That's what you loved about him But he was also a really kind and nice man gave a lot back to his community Did a lot of community work especially in the Chicago area where he lived most of his time Yeah, what a life and career for the Hall of Famer Mike dick Truly one of the most iconic coaches in NFL history. All right, Warren. Let's move on to the pretty good steakhouse All right, yes, sir. I like it. I like that. I like that Well, Warren. Let's move on to the coach match of this weekend It's the main event of the weekend the Seahawks vs. 49ers Kyle Shanahan vs Mike McDonald McDonald has had a lot of success against Kyle Shanahan and Brock Purti So how do you view this coach match up this weekend up in Seattle Well, like you said Mike has had some success against him and these are two of the better coaches in the national football league Went on the offensive side of the ball one on the defensive side of the ball

4:10And that's what it's going to come down to again. I think you know whenever you play division games You can almost throw the records out the window even though both of these teams have good records But it's going to come down to who knows each other the best and who's going to make the the right plays at the right time Especially in the second half Who's going to make the key plays in the football game that comes down to coaching making those right decisions at the right time Whether you go forward on fork down or not whether you know if you're going to blitz here in this situation or not All those different things that are going to come about in this type of football game. So I'm looking so forward to going to this game because every time these two teams play Um, it's never a it's never a you know a blowout or anything like that Every now and then it might be but for the most part these games come down to a couple of different plays and And I just want to see what those players are going to be in this ballgame. 7:20There really really isn't these two are really at the top of their game as far as the play calls that Kyle makes and and the way that The Brock is executing their offense. He's got 11 stounds and no interception or one interception He hasn't been sacked yet in four ball games, which is amazing So you got to give credit not only to his offensive line But also credit to Brock for getting rid of the football or being able to avoid a void pressure Which he does very well for a guy that wasn't known for being a very mobile quarterback. So Yeah, they're playing at the top of their game They've got a lot of good weapons to work with you know Debo Samuels has come back and made a big impact on their offense and added something to it Having Kittle healthy and he's really playing well right now has been a big key for them with their offense And then Mike Evans has come in and been that thread on the outside everybody's thought that he could be so There's got a lot of things going to go along with you know McCaffrey and all the other weapons that they have and Warren what stands out to me now year five for Brock Perty

8:20It seems like that continuity really is making a factor with Kyle Shanahan and Brock Perty and them being together for five years now Now it's a little bit different up in Seattle with Clint Kubiak leaving to go coach the Las Vegas Raiders to bring in Brian Flurry over the off season So what are your thoughts on how Sam Donnell has looked and only a couple games this season But in this new look Seattle Seahawks offense without Kenneth Walker in the backfield and without Clint Kubiak all employees Yeah, I think the thing that helps is that um They've been together before you know Ryan was in in San Francisco when when Sam was there So there's some very myriad of you there so when he came in it wasn't like they didn't know each other from Adam or anything like that And I think he had a really good feel for what he knew Sam could do And he's kind of incorporated those things into this offense here a lot of similarities between the two offenses in San Francisco and Seattle anyway Because of the the coaching backgrounds So Sam I think he's adjusted very well He's had the one game against the the commanders where he turned it over a couple of times But he did it over well over 300 yards in that ballgame as well and three touchdowns. So

9:25I think Sam is really coming into his own as far as Feeling very comfortable with how Brian calls the game advice versa But what Seattle needs to do is really find out who that running back is going to be because it you know They've had some injuries of that position. They've been kind of doing it by committee right now And it's worked pretty well for him so far But you've really got to find who's that Bill Kyle is going to be for you Who's the guy that you can rely on to carry the football? They're hoping they can get Charbonne here back pretty soon from me and he's a guy that we know what he can do over the last two or three years So there's still some questions on that part of their offense the the running side of it, but I think I think Donald's going to be pretty good as far as the way he is going to call the game for him And and using his weapons on the outside JSN and Cooper Cup and all those guys As you look at at Seattle's offense matching up against the 49ers defense Where do you think Warren that the 40-inners are the most vulnerable defensively?

10:27You know, I'm not sold on their defensive front as far as The guys that are up there and they're and they're They're depth that they have there. So if the adult can run the football against them. I think they have a chance to To make their play action game go and take advantage of some some openings down the field But it all starts with the running game if they can control the line of scrimmage Then they can kind of do the things they want to do offensively and and that's what their their Model is to their offense run the football very physically and then be able to play action pat and take those strikes down the football field to To JSN and the other speed guys they have out there Warren similar question for you on the Seahawks defense I would love to see Your perspective through the eyes of a quarterback of what you see when you see Mike McDonald's defense the strengths Why he has so much success in the NFL against offense coordinators like Kyle Shanahan And I guess the follow-up question is are there any weaknesses on that Seahawks defense? You know the thing they really

11:28Concerned me is learning ways we and it hasn't practice much this week You know, he has a lower leg injury that I think they're protecting and I don't know if he's gonna play this week or not I'm hopefully hopefully he will because he has a lot of pressure from the inside As a inside path pressure with their defense What I love about their defense is not only the fact that it might give you a lot of different looks As a quarterback you have to be able to look at and see where the pressures may be coming from because He likes to not so much blitz But he'll bring different guys from different areas. It might be only a four man sometimes five man blitz But you just don't know those five guys are gonna be so as a quarterback You're always worried about that when you come out of the huddle you have to always make sure your head is on a swivel and Knowing where guys aligned up because they like the line guys a lot of different places and They have a lot of depth on their defense So so they can bring guys in and out of the game and keep guys fresh Which is the way he wants his defensive to play to really be able to run and fly around to the football So that's some of the strengths of their deep the different looks they give you and then also the depth

12:33They have that they can bring fresh guys in all the time. Well, where do you think Nicky man? Warry is right now and in terms of getting back to the level that that we saw him play a year ago Yeah, their last football game he really played well And he's really starting to find his groove again. I think Mike is starting to use him a lot more In all those different ways that that he used other strong safety that he's had before so He's the guy that's gonna be key for this defense And again, that's one of the guys that Brock Pertie has got to find when he comes out of the hotel Where is Nick lined up and and how are they going to use him on this particular defense? football season is going strong Just like the 2026 Ford Mustang Machi Tim Ryan here Mustang Machi. 14:41Especially when it comes to some of those short passes to screen game last question for your Warren is just the The loss of Kyle use check because I think most people in today's day of the NFL I mean a lot of teams don't even use a fullback anymore But you look at what he's able to do for Kyle shanhan's offense the pre snap motion to maybe try to Figure out what Seattle Mike McDonald's doing this weekend. How big of a loss do you think that is for the 49ers offense? Did not have a player like Kyle use check Is a big loss because he's a key factor in that offense because I think he makes their offense more physical everybody kind of looked at the 49ers is being more of a finance offense So where they do things but when he's in there when Kyle's in there They become a more physical offense because he's leading those those running plays as far as making inside trap blocks or whatever it might be and and making those key blocks for McCaffery to you know the bust out there and make big runs. So when he's not in there I don't think there is physical an offense and a lot of times he uses a decoy too because a lot of times people think they're going to run

15:42Where Kyle is and they'll run totally away from that just because they've run it so successfully to him so many times But they're using as a decoy a lot of times. So not having him in there. I'm sure it takes away some of of Kyle's You know imagination as far as what he wants to do with that offense especially with their running game Yeah, we'll see if Kyle shanhan can figure out a way to replace some of that value in offense And we'll see how this game plays out this week and big big time matchup And that's why I appreciate you taking a couple minutes out of your morning this morning I should say warn moon Thank you so much.
