Let's clear the air about hybrids with Kia. I live in Pasadena, so my Kia Telluride Turbo Hybrid has to do a little of everything. School bags, speech chairs, a grocery run, I swore would be small. And somehow there's still room in my sister-tex. I'm landing in Burbank, come pick me up. It seats seven, has over 600 miles of range, and makes the 134 feel a little less like a test of character. Space, range, flexibility. The Kia Telluride Turbo Hybrid is built for the way LA moves. Find your way forward at Kia.com. Kia, movement that inspires. Data centers don't wait, and neither should your supply chain. From power and connectivity to racks and critical power, Graybar brings the products and the experience data centers need now. And with deep inventory and logistics expertise, we keep projects moving from first delivery to final install. With hundreds of locations and a nationwide delivery fleet, we help you bring facilities online on time and on budget. Yep. Graybar does that.

On who and how much he messed up. Well, I didn't do very good in the last 28 seconds. I think when you talk about finishing the game, which I really think you look at our two games that we've lost. So we haven't finished. And I was a big part of this one. Like I said, I talked about after the game, I felt like I overcoached DAC on third down, kind of affected his decision making a little bit. And then I let that kind of bleed over to my decision about kicking the ball. My dad had a rule, one play the time. He talked a lot about, because it happened to him, he made a decision on a play. It didn't go good. He was pissed off about it and it affected another decision. And I think that's kind of what happened to me. So I'll take accountability for it. It's football in life. It's what happens. But I heard our chance to win that game. And I'll be better. And I'm better than that. I'm better than I performed in the last 28 seconds.

We better. Perfect answer. Everything you want to hear. Also the answer you expected, right? Yeah. Like you expected him to say something to that effect. Yeah, I didn't expect him to say, I didn't expect him to step in it. You know, he knows he's known. He's good. He's a good orator. Yeah, I mean, but we've covered a lot of coaches around here who didn't own it. Like that. Jason Garrett never owned it. Never. Mike McCarthy would own it a little bit more. Jason. Jason was allergic to it. He was never going to sit there and be like, I screwed up. I don't recall it at all with him. Well, guys, you got behind the chains. Well, it only matter so much. As I'm sure every tolo is about the text at 877-881-1053. The deeper issue is Brian Schott and Hyber didn't burn one of the four things for dinner. He burned all four. Oh, yeah. Even the bread. So the next time I go to your house and you say you're cooking the very next time,

you're telling me you're not going to burn anything of the four, you burned the kick, you burned the third down, you burned the defensive play, and you burned finishing with Javante. You messed them all up. You, I didn't get a, I didn't get a Brian brought his cheesecake. Oh, no. I, you know, I didn't get one passable thing for the dinner. You burned them all. Or everything. So my, my big worry is, okay, like, they're not going to happen again or something, because it is hard to simulate all these different crazy end-of-game scenarios. You can't, you can't simulate everything. But some of these things were basic. And he said, the Marty Schott and Hyber thing, the carry over the next play, screwed him, and the thought process with the Aubrey kick. But it goes back to what Bobby said yesterday, what is actually instilled in you? Are you just a, are you just a bad cook? Because kicking and not going for it even on fourth,

that just may be deeply ingrained in him. It's very, I think it's very, when you grew up, and I have, and look at the fancy pass chart, may be ingrained in him versus finishing an obvious Javante handle. Listen, which it was on the final drive at least, Shottie confirmed yesterday what I know, Archer had been wandering and had been thought of, which was that first and goal play with 20 seconds left, Dac moved into that, that was a run play. And so, and like, if you watch it, they're run blocking, but he got the look of Pickens, what I want. So at least that first down one from the two, that first play was Dac checking into the throw. I, I, I love, I love his old man, I love Marty. I thought it was a really good coach. I think he's one of the most underrated coaches ever. He's a conservative coach. Marty Ball. Marty Ball, and, and, and that's, Marty Ball, and then what did you call Shottie before he got here? R2P2. It's very hard. It stands for a run, run pass punt. I mean, go look at us with our own parents, like our parents instilled in us certain tendencies

that you just can't, that don't break. Yeah. You know, and it's never Bobby. Except for Bobby, except for Bobby. It doesn't break, and that's, and that's the way it is. And then whatever he's got, he's got to fight through that. But I remember when, when, when, when Jerry hired McCarthy, we were like, let's go Lincoln Riley or, or, Lincoln Riley. Matt Ruul. And he said, I'm not, I don't want to pay somebody to learn on the job. Okay, well, he went this time with, with, with Shottie, now, that first time head coach. Yeah. So there's a learning on the job there, and then Christian Parker. But also, 25 years in the game. Yeah, as I say, Shottie, 25, he's learning on the job. Shottie's, but he still is, right? Shottie's, he says. Shottie is, and I've used this analogy before, Shottie's Hillary Clinton. Shottie's been running for like that job. The real players were in the emails. Yeah. Shottie's been running for that job for 30 years. So like, even though it's first time, he's going to be, it's like his whole life has been driven towards doing all of that.

So I don't feel like it's the same rookie expectation. But he still has to make those calls. Yeah. In 28 seconds, he's got to make seven different decisions. I mean, I need to go back and look. I was just thinking of this. I need to go look at all the games that were within one score at the end of last year and look at how they handled the last two minutes and see how many times it came up, where there was just complete flubs. Brian Shottonheimer on overall game management. Yeah, well, I'll take you through the whole sequence, actually, Todd. I mean, so we get the PI penalty down there to CD. And it's first and goal from the two we call it run. And we have run tags for our elite players on the outside, if they're one on one. We can do different things. And they played one on one. So we took the shot to CP. Second down felt really good about the call. Unfortunately, we had a false start penalty. So that kind of moved us back. So we had to adjust at that point. Second down, I thought Baltimore did a really good job. They covered the concept that we had. So Dak did a nice job moving up and scrambling. We called time out of Mealy because you wanted to make sure you have enough time to score.

I mean, we were not trying to tie that game. We wanted to try to take the victory and take the lead. Terrence Seals on the ground. So then Broder goes in and then third downs where I overcoach Dak. And I put him into a mindset he normally doesn't play with. So that's where I made the mistake. And then, like I said, at the end of the day, when that happens, you have to move on. At that point, I'm no longer the play collar. I'm now the head coach. And the communication with Nick and Feter wasn't good enough. And so that starts with me. And so take responsibility, take accountability for it. But again, those things will not happen again. Remember, I reached a point. I'm sure remember this would have been, I think it was under McCarthy. I don't think it was Garrett. But the reach to point where Jerry came on here and he started asking about like, we have 27 assistant coaches. And he was like, basically, it was like, considering why do we have so many assistant coaches that this isn't going to? I feel like, yes, this past weekend was a similar breaking

point for him of like, OK, hold on. What's going on with the communication? How do we communicate these late game decisions? Because this isn't working. And to that point, players are restricted in terms of practice time. Absolutely. You can only get so much. You coaches are not like, how much time are they spending? Someone really does need to open a football camp for fourth quarter simulations. Someone needs to, Bill Balechek should do it when he gets run compact, capable, surprisingly roomy, always forward with Kia. All these coaches go like they do for tight end weekend and learn and go through 50 different scenarios

because you're not limited in terms of classroom time on that. They can stay in the building all day, all night. This is what you're paid to do. And again, some of the basic fundamental things and another thing. And yesterday I went off about the past rush in a football 101 rant and you could call me stupid on this Michael Embardi certainly would because all Embardi did after the Malcolm Butler pick was talk about how, hey, Marshall Lynch, like he wasn't gonna score against us. It was a run front. It was a run look. And when I hear Bobby you say, and I'm not attacking you because the coaches acted on it. When I hear Shot and Heimer say, we had a run, but we got one-on-ones on the outside. So we're gonna go to that. That bothers me. I do think that's a debt call. I think that's a debt call to that. That bothers me because you're still on the two. And everyone's for the most part is gonna play you to run the football. Like I can run against a run front or I'd like to attempt to run against a run front versus

they're showing run. So Russell Wilson had to drop out. No, I would have bet any amount of money all my life, Marshall Lynch was going to score. I'll take that to my grave. No one can convince me otherwise. I don't care who says it. Oh, it's a run look. Okay. Yeah. In Madden. In Madden when they go on D-Fas, you never run the football on the one-yard line. You get throw up a fade. Like, and I'm joking there too. I'd go pass on fourth and inches. When we get fourth and inches, and the bottom middle. And the bottom middle. You're gonna pass too, right? We pass it. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So, there's Shot and Heimer on game management. We got to figure out after the season. Oh, real quick. Yeah. You said the overcoach deck. We're getting to that right here. Listen to this. There's some code where we need to figure out and find out of what this word is that sends the message to Dac. Don't even make a football play throughout. I'm off-skying. No. No, I trust Dac. This has got nothing to do with trust. This has got to do with everything it was going on. And, you know, again, you know, Terrence Steel comes out, Broadway goes in.

And you're like, okay, we need the points. At that point is third and seventh. But I trust Dac Press got completely. So it was the word that I chose, which I'm not gonna give away. With the words that we say have meaning. And when I said the word, it put him into a mindset that he doesn't play with. He doesn't play that way. He doesn't play the game that way. And so that's what I would change. Go ahead. I've heard a lot of, and there's a fine line. I think there's a fine line between being undercoached, appropriately coached, and then overcoached. And you hear like these great, all-time great quarterbacks. They always say, I get mad when I'm not coached. Yeah. But I almost feel like I would rather my quarterback be undercoached than overcoached at times. Well, for the record, I do love the shot and hammer gives the last second reminder because these guys block out sometimes. Whether it's not having the time out. Hey, if it's not there, throw it away. But whatever shot and hammer told him was too premature to lead to the throw away. Where it wasn't even that last half second in hesitation

to see that Pickens was available at the pylon that Dacke was regretful for and mad about afterwards. So whatever that word is is like, it's not even take three steps back and abort. It was an immediate abort based upon the way the defense looked to be lining up. Yeah, and Dacke said this. But I want shot and hammer to say, if it's not there, you got two seconds. It's gotta be at a bounce. You gotta throw it away. Because Dacke has held on the football a little bit too long sometimes throughout his career. Yet Dacke post game similarly talked about whatever the call and he similarly was like, I don't want to get into what was said. Because so like, they're clearly as both of them are representing this as though whatever they said is like, you know, the secret password for their entire offense or something the way they're talking about it. But it's it's to a point where like I would prefer at this stage of Dacke's career. You're just not in his ear at all in the final 90 seconds.

I agree. Like just go ahead and let him play it. Specifically because I think Shady does have and we've talked about this before, he does have a tendency to pull it back. And then I dug again, I don't think just with Dacke, he shows aggressiveness. Picking. Yeah, he shows aggressiveness for the first 58 minutes of most football games. The final two minutes he has shown, it's Green Bay last year. Just go for the touchdown. Your defense isn't stopping him, but don't kick this field goal and don't let Green Bay go down the field and kick another field goal to give you a tie game. You've trained him for this moment. He's ready to go. You've you've you've you're you're you're boys playing TVO his first year baseball. Well, there was that one dad who was a head do this. You know, keep your arms up. Okay, don't swing too hard too much. Yeah, and it's just like you get up to the plate. It's like, well, I don't know what I'm doing now. Cowboys make a signing Bobby. Yes, they did. So they've got a they've got a new cornerback that they've signed. Alex Austin who is not basically all the all you're going

to get on the free agent market right now is guys who are without jobs for a reason three weeks in the season. But Alex Austin is a guy who did start a couple games for the Patriots last year has played over the last three years. So started six games played in 29 600 snaps. Really good length. I watched a little bit of him last night. Last year was a struggle, but I mean his PFF grade for what's that for what that's worth, which not much. 2024 and 2023 when he played the majority of his snaps, he had a 60 grade as a corner, which is pretty much just an average player and one, you Thomas as well. One you Thomas who put out the bat signal, right? Yeah, I can't understand why he posted an AI image of him, like he AI, an image of him in a cowboys uniform. It's like you do have pictures of you playing for the cowboys. You don't need to AI one. You can just post that picture of you playing inside the star.
