About this episode

On this episode of The I in Us Paul and Cody welcomed Melbourne-based intersex community member, singer, writer and podcaster, Blume back to the show.

In recent months through her Socials Blume has been inviting us to reflect on such philosophical questions including, why does one suffer for one’s art and what leads creatives to continue to pursue their endeavours despite not receiving or experiencing the rewards or recognition one seeks, at least in the short-term. These are often questions we ask ourselves in the safety of our own minds, and sometimes we feel called and indeed compelled to externalise our thoughts through blogs, poetry, song and other creative pursuits, albeit at the expense of one’s own wellbeing.

In this episode Paul, Cody and Blume discuss questions such as these, and also consider how contemporary online environments, including gaming, potentially set us up for failure. Curious?? Then listen on.
