About this episode

Belfast City Council is scrambling to fix the noise chaos from Calvin Harris’ massive concert, which triggered over 60 complaints as sound blasted far beyond expected zones—hitting quiet neighborhoods with bass that felt like an invasion. Alongside noise barriers under consideration, residents also report trespassing crowds ruining their peace. With future events looming—including Emerge festival this weekend—the council’s balancing act between big gigs and local quality of life is heating up, as they push for stricter rules on noise, traffic, and crowd control to protect residents while keeping Boucher Road alive for concerts and sports.
